LOL! He is a biggin'!
Just saw news earlier today we supposedly have more black bears in the state than last year but there have been fewer sightings.
On a side note...notice how well my IR lights the area up? hehe.

It actually was one of the first things I noticed! LOL!
Finally got to see the vid. Man he's gotta go 500-600 pounds. That's enormous for a black bear. Wonder what he was carrying? Sack of garbage?
Yeah, he's 500lb easy. He had grabbed a bag out of the can and chowed down. There were other bags he dragged up the street.
With any luck I'll get some day video of him to really get some idea of his size.

1) Put GoPro taped to bag of animal guts in open garbage can
2) Wait for bear
3) ???
4) Profit!
While I do have a battery module for my GoPro so it can linger a long time, I'm not sure I want my cam to wind up inside a Bear's jaws.
That reminds me...maybe tonight I'll set up for an all night timelapse.

Just saw this on tonight's special episode of Live PD and remembered your bear adventures. Just be glad your garbage cans are the extent of them.
One would have thought a rope on the handle of that car would have been enough.
