I can't bloody wait to watch these fireworks coming.....

Hillary Clinton makes her Twitter debut, fueling 2016 speculation

    June 10, 2013, 11:20 a.m.

WASHINGTON -- It may have taken her a while, but Hillary Clinton joined Twitter Monday, right on the heels of a new poll that finds her popularity dipping after stepping down as Secretary of State.

The self described “wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate,” had been noticeably absent from the prominent social network. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, recently took the family’s spotlight with his own Twitter debut on “The Colbert Report.”

Speculation had recently increased as to why Clinton, who should she run for the nomination for president in 2016 is seen as very difficult to beat, hadn't yet dipped her toe into the social media waters. While Clinton has kept a relatively low profile since leaving President Obama’s administration, other groups like “Ready for Hillary” have been keen on bringing their support to a digital audience.

But in her first tweet, Clinton displayed familiarity with her online fan base, referencing the duo behind the “Texts from Hillary” blog that went viral last year. Clinton is also notably using the now-famous photo as her profile image.

But the excitement from Clinton’s Twitter debut is tempered by a Gallup poll released Monday that suggests that months of Republican critiques of her role in the response to the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya last year is having some effect.

Clinton’s longstanding popularity has previously topped those of her peers within the Obama administration, including the president himself, but public assessment dipped in April. According to the poll, conducted between June 1-4, 58% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the former Secretary of State, a drop from 64% in the prior month and the first time since 2008 her favorability rating has gone below 60%.

But at least on Twitter, there’s little indication of a drop in popularity, with Clinton racking up more than 86,000 followers in just a few hours, a total that already tops rumored 2016 Democratic presidential hopefuls Martin O’Malley, governor of Maryland, and N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

But those looking for any definite 2016 remarks from Clinton to accompany the rampant speculation will have to settle for her profile’s reference to future plans: “TBD.”

Gallup’s poll was conducted via telephone interviews with a random sample of 1,529 adults with a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

Hillary is not going to win a primary, much less a general election.

What do Hillary Clinton and Al Capone have in common?

Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.
Perhaps Hillary’s perjured testimony in which she lost control, screeching “What difference does it make,” provides another commonality.
I submit to you that Hillary like Al Capone, may also has terminal syphilis of the brain.

    More than you might think.
Let me explain; we all know Hillary is complicit in the deaths of four Americans by leaving them to burn in Benghazi. AND she has been accused of many other illegal acts, but until now, she has not been held accountable for anything.
Well, Al Capone was a Chicago gangster responsible for smuggling, prostitution, and numerous counts of murder. And Capone, much like Hilary, was never held accountable…until federal authorities finally jailed him on a technicality — tax evasion.
sally, we have just NAILED Hillary on her own technicality — multiple Federal Campaign Finance violations.
    That’s right. We got her.
Today our lawyers hand delivered a formal complaint against Hillary Rodham Clinton detailing multiple violations classifiable as both civil and even possibly felony-related criminal violations.
You see, recent news reports in Time Magazine, Politico and other news outlets have revealed Hillary Clintons behind-the-scenes work with unauthorized Super PACs gearing up for her 2016 presidential campaign — all in clear violation of federal law.
The short-and-sweet of it — Hillary Clinton conspiring with this Super PAC run by her longtime political henchmen is a major violation of federal election law.
Furthermore, the fact that her chosen Super PAC has raised in excess of 4 million dollars and has accepted individual contributions as high as $25,000 in excess of the federal limits for a candidate for federal office is ANOTHER clear violation of the law.
Along with this full legal complaint, we’re also delivering a thick stack with tens of thousands of signatures on our “Find Hillary Guilty Petition” directly to federal authorities.
We, with your help, are demanding a full investigation.
You have been a part of a massive outpouring of support, and just now, we’ve been informed we can add/append an additional 100,000 signatures to the complaint, **if we collect them in the next 24 hours.**
Will you sign in the next 24 hours to ensure a full investigation that will surely find Hillary guilty?
    Entire article below.
This is an absolutely critical and defining moment in Hillary’s run for the White House…
I fear, without your help today — just like Benghazi — Hillary’s actions will be whitewashed.
Fighting Hillary Clinton in front of the Federal Election Commission will not be cheap. But it’s an absolutely critical fight that will defeat Hillary once and for all.
So please sign the “Find Hillary Guilty Petition”
Thanks so much for your support.
    Sincerely,

    Senator Ted Harvey (R)
    Colorado State Senator
    Co-Founder, Stop Hillary PAC
P.S. Just like Al Capone, we might not get Hillary on the larger crimes of Benghazi, but we can bring Hillary down on campaign finance violations.
P.P.S. Hillary Clinton Found GUILTY! Just imagine the headline. With your help, we will get justice. I’m counting on you to sign today and to chip in at least $5 to help us fight her in the legal process.

Hillary Clinton's Inner Circle Calls This Best-Selling Author The Most 'Despicable' Person In The World

    Facebook

Author Ed Klein has published hundreds of pages of attacks on President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton. On Monday, as Klein's latest "exposé" of the former first family topped Hillary's memoir on the best-seller list, a source close to the Clintons fired back with a scathing, lengthy email to Business Insider blasting Klein as a pathological liar.
"This might sound hyperbolic, but there is no bigger liar in the entire world," the source said of Klein. "Lying isn't even the word for it. It's some kind of sickness where every single thing you write is fabricated. Every. Single. Thing. I mean, even the photos in his book were found to be altered."
Klein, who made headlines last weekend with a questionable article in Sunday's New York Post in which he claimed President Obama is backing Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren rather than Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, would not discuss criticism of his work when Business Insider called him Monday. Instead, he repeatedly referred us to his publicist, Jeremy Little, who provided us with a three-sentence statement from Klein defending his reporting.
"In typical Clinton fashion, when people can’t handle or respond to the truth, they attack the messenger," Klein said.
Klein also cited a Wall Street Journal report published Monday that described Hillary Clinton, who is widely viewed as the Democratic frontrunner for 2016, distancing herself from some of the Obama administration's policies. He implied this proved his claim Obama "has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president."
"Reports surfaced this morning that Hillary Clinton is deliberately separating herself from the Obamas and their agenda. This is why, as I reported yesterday in the New York Post, the Obamas are searching for a new candidate for 2016 who is willing to carry on their legacy," Klein said.
However, there is a long history of alleged factual issues in Klein's work. As the source close to the Clintons noted, a photographer released evidence showing Klein misrepresented a salaciously cropped photo of President Clinton in his 2005 book, "The Truth About Hillary." That's just one of many problems that emerged from the book where Klein cast Hillary Clinton as "the most polarizing figure in American politics."
The Clinton confidant described Klein's writing about Hillary as "creepy."
"We have had to contend with all sorts of dastardly characters over the years, being a bad actor isn't unique in this business. But there is a special circle of hell reserved for his combination of pathological lying, hate, and just flat out creepiness," the source said of Klein, adding: "But he's got a good gig. He sits in his creepy lair and once every few years bangs out another pack of lies, doesn't have to bother with any nettlesome issues that get in the way, like sources or facts."
After writing "The Truth About Hillary," Klein moved on to President Obama.
Klein coauthored "The Obama Identity" in 2010. It was a fictional work that delved into the widely debunked conspiracy theories about Obama's birthplace. In 2012, Klein released "The Amateur," which attempted to expose Obama as "a callow, thin-skinned, arrogant president with messianic dreams of grandeur supported by a cast of true-believers, all of them united by leftist politics and an amateurish understanding of executive leadership." New York Magazine subsequently found an error on the book's very first page.
In addition to specific factual errors, Klein's political books have been widely criticized for their widespread reliance on anonymous sources to provide detailed behind-the-scenes stories from Obama and the Clintons' inner circles. These accounts have included shocking revelations and conversations that people on all sides of the political spectrum have described as improbable.
    Amazon.com

Klein's latest book, "Blood Feud," purports to reveal "the mutual loathing" that he claims exists between Obama and Hillary Clinton, the president's former secretary of state. Multiple close Obama allies did not respond to requests for comment on Klein, including Valerie Jarrett, the senior White House adviser Klein claimed was leading the "full-court press" to convince Warren to challenge Hillary Clinton in 2016. An aide to Jarrett responded to an email from Business Insider by pointing to comments White House press secretary Josh Earnest made about Klein's claims Obama was pushing Warren to run for president. "At this point it’s still in the middle of 2014," Earnest said. "I’m not aware of any particular positions or candidates — or all that much thinking, to be honest with you — that the president has done as it relates to the next presidential elections. I haven’t actually seen those reports."
Earnest may not have seen reports based on Klein's claims, but they have been generating substantial media coverage. However, the source close to the Clintons argued Klein doesn't get as much attention as he did when he wrote his first book about Hillary.
"On it getting traction, I don't think he gets much anymore. When he did this in 05 people thought, Wow, he's a former NYT Magazine editor, he's reputable. It was a real fight to keep him off mainstream air," the source explained. "But as soon as people read any of it, it was absurd. I mean, he contends that Chelsea Clinton was conceived in a rape. He'll claim he didn't say that, but go back and read the chapter. It is nothing short of despicable."
The questions raised about Klein's work over the years do seem to have affected his standing in the mainstream media. In April, BuzzFeed reported the major publishing house HarperCollins terminated its contract with Klein because of concerns about his reporting. Both "The Amateur" and "Blood Feud" were published by a smaller, conservative publishing house, Regnery. In addition to his past roles as an editor at Newsweek and the New York Times Magazine in the 1970s and '80s, Klein has been a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, which excerpted both "The Truth About Hillary" and "The Obama Identity." Vanity Fair spokeswoman Beth Kseniak told Business Insider that while Klein is still with the magazine "we are not excerpting Ed's current book."
    EdwardKlein.com
    Edward Klein.

According to the Clinton source who emailed Business Insider, Hillary's team was unaware of "Blood Feud" until it came out because Klein made no effort to contact them during the course of his reporting. They also said no one in Hillary's inner circle reached out to her to report being approached by Klein about the book.

"In terms of contacting us, no, he hasn't. But that's neither here or there. What's amazing is that when people work on anything, a story, a documentary, a book, you hear from SOMEONE who checks in and say, Hey, I got a call from this guy Ed Klein, are you guys cooperating with him, should I talk to him?" the source said. "In this case, not one person. Not a single solitary human being. Didn't know about the book until it came out."

The source described this apparent lack of effort by Klein to contact Hillary's team and allies as proof his new book is fabricated.

"Do you know how hard that is?" the source said of the fact they heard from no one who spoke to Klein. "It's impossible. UNLESS you are fabricating every word, in which case you don't need to talk to anyone. Which is why he didn't. I haven't even looked at the book, but I'd be curious who he quoted and whether it was an interview or if the sourcing indicates that it's taken from the public record."

Klein and his publicist did not respond to questions from Business Insider about whether he attempted to contact Hillary's team and whether this called his work into question.

The Clinton source concluded with a blunt assessment of Klein:
"I'll end by saying the same thing I started with: there is no one anywhere near this despicable. Nobody."

Clinton Inc. is going to be the most formidable fundraising operation for the Democrats in the history of the country. Period. Exclamation point,” is how on Republican lobbyist describes the Bill-and-Hillary show and as WSJ reports, in total, the Clintons raised between $2 billion and $3 billion from all sources, including individual donors, corporate contributors and foreign governments. They have raised more than $1 billion from U.S. companies and industry donors during two decades on the national stage through campaigns, paid speeches and a network of organizations advancing their political and policy goals. Financial Services firms have been one of the single largest sources of money for the Clintons since the 1992 presidential campaign; and the couple’s No. 1 Wall Street contributor, giving nearly $5 million – Goldman Sachs.

    What’d she say?

    by American Patriot

Sounds to me just like a Bubba-Trained female!

I’m at a loss for words and obviously, Hillary was, too.

Quote of the day. No, of the week. Mmake that month. Perhaps even quote of the year ! No. DECADE. Wait a minute. It’s the greatest quote ever!

“My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I’m glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know… the remnants of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture and we didn’t do that and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s a major accomplishment.”

    -Hillary Clinton – 11 March 2014

Could someone please tell me what the hell she just said?

If I read that correctly, and it took a couple read throughs, I think she's saying she's proud that her biggest accomplishment was that she was unfocused.

You know, similar to what this young lady was saying

Here's what we're in store for once Hillary is elected.

The Hillary Letters: Hillary Clinton, Saul Alinsky Correspondence Revealed

    September 21, 2014

NOTE: READ THE HILLARY CLINTON-SAUL ALINSKY LETTERS HERE.

Previously unpublished correspondence between Hillary Clinton and the late left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky reveals new details about her relationship with the controversial Chicago activist and shed light on her early ideological development.

Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968 while writing a Wellesley college thesis about his theory of community organizing.

Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show.

The letters obtained by the Free Beacon are part of the archives for the Industrial Areas Foundation, a training center for community organizers founded by Alinsky, which are housed at the University of Texas at Austin.

The letters also suggest that Alinsky, who died in 1972, had a deeper influence on Clinton’s early political views than previously known.

A 23-year-old Hillary Clinton was living in Berkeley, California, in the summer of 1971. She was interning at the left-wing law firm Treuhaft, Walker and Burnstein, known for its radical politics and a client roster that included Black Panthers and other militants.

On July 8, 1971, Clinton reached out to Alinsky, then 62, in a letter sent via airmail, paid for with stamps featuring Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and marked “Personal.”

“Dear Saul,” she began. “When is that new book [Rules for Radicals] coming out—or has it come and I somehow missed the fulfillment of Revelation?”

“I have just had my one-thousandth conversation about Reveille [for Radicals] and need some new material to throw at people,” she added, a reference to Alinsky’s 1946 book on his theories of community organizing.

Clinton devoted just one paragraph in her memoir Living History to Alinsky, writing that she rejected a job offer from him in 1969 in favor of going to law school. She wrote that she wanted to follow a more conventional path.

However, in the 1971 letter, Clinton assured Alinsky that she had “survived law school, slightly bruised, with my belief in and zest for organizing intact.”

“The more I’ve seen of places like Yale Law School and the people who haunt them, the more convinced I am that we have the serious business and joy of much work ahead—if the commitment to a free and open society is ever going to mean more than eloquence and frustration,” wrote Clinton.

According to the letter, Clinton and Alinsky had kept in touch since she entered Yale. The 62-year-old radical had reached out to give her advice on campus activism.

“If I never thanked you for the encouraging words of last spring in the midst of the Yale-Cambodia madness, I do so now,” wrote Clinton, who had moderated a campus election to join an anti-war student strike.

She added that she missed their regular conversations, and asked if Alinsky would be able to meet her the next time he was in California.

“I am living in Berkeley and working in Oakland for the summer and would love to see you,” Clinton wrote. “Let me know if there is any chance of our getting together.”

Clinton’s letter reached Alinsky’s office while he was on an extended trip to Southeast Asia, where he was helping train community organizers in the Philippines.

But a response letter from Alinsky’s secretary suggests that the radical organizer had a deep fondness for Clinton as well.

“Since I know [Alinsky’s] feelings about you I took the liberty of opening your letter because I didn’t want something urgent to wait for two weeks,” Alinsky’s long-time secretary, Georgia Harper, wrote to Clinton in a July 13, 1971 letter. “And I’m glad I did.”

Harper told Clinton that Alinksy’s book Rules for Radicals had been released. She enclosed several reviews of the book.

“Mr. Alinsky will be in San Francisco, staying at the Hilton Inn at the airport on Monday and Tuesday, July 26 and 27,” Harper added. “I know he would like to have you call him so that if there is a chance in his schedule maybe you can get together.”

It is unclear whether the meeting occurred.

A self-proclaimed radical, Alinsky advocated guerilla tactics and civil disobedience to correct what he saw as an institutionalized power gap in poor communities. His philosophy divided the world into “haves”—middle class and wealthy people —and “have nots”—the poor. He took an ends-justify-the-means approach to power and wealth redistribution, and developed the theoretical basis of “community organizing.”

“The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power,” wrote Alinsky in his 1971 book. “Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away.”

Clinton’s connection to Alinsky has been the subject of speculation for decades. It became controversial when Wellsley College, by request of the Clinton White House, sealed her 1968 thesis from the public for years. Conservative lawyer Barbara Olson said Clinton had asked for the thesis to be sealed because it showed “the extent to which she internalized and assimilated the beliefs and methods of Saul Alinsky.” Clinton opponent turned Clinton defender David Brock referred to her as “Alinsky’s daughter” in 1996′s The Seduction of Hillary Rodham.

The paper was opened to the public in 2001. While the thesis is largely sympathetic to Alinsky, it is also critical of some of his tactics.

Clinton described the organizer as “a man of exceptional charm,” but also objected to some of the conflicts he provoked as “unrealistic,” noting that his model could be difficult for others to replicate.

“Many of the Alinsky-inspired poverty warriors could not (discounting political reasons) move beyond the cathartic first step of organizing groups ‘to oppose, complain, demonstrate, and boycott’ to developing and running a program,” she wrote.

The letters obtained by the Free Beacon suggest that Clinton experimented more with radical politics during her law school years than she has publicly acknowledged.

In Living History, she describes her views during that time as far more pragmatic than leftwing.

She “agreed with some of Alinsky’s ideas,” Clinton wrote in her first memoir, but the two had a “fundamental disagreement” over his anti-establishment tactics.

She described how this disagreement led to her parting ways with Alinsky in the summer before law school in 1969.

“He offered me the chance to work with him when I graduated from college, and he was disappointed that I decided instead to go to law school,” she wrote.

“Alinsky said I would be wasting my time, but my decision was an expression of my belief that the system could be changed from within.”

A request for comment from the Clinton team was not returned.

Hillary Clinton Adviser Calls for New Constitution w/Mandatory Service

September 29, 2014 by Daniel Greenfield 6 Comments

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Finally we can put that partisan bickering behind us with a moderate leadership that will… push for a new Constitution.

According to Burstein, mandatory federal service, higher taxes on the rich and environmental radicalism — among other things — are needed to save American democracy.
I can’t wait. What about you?

And while we’re at it, let’s stop touting the “American Dream”
Let’s call it the Communist Dream instead.

The new Constitution would institute a two-year national service commitment
Welcome to your new Serfdom. Article 1 of the New Constitution. “All citizens shall serve the state.”

“It should feel good–not intrusive–when government imposes huge fines on companies that pollute our air and water; or when government explains its requirement that we recycle, cease to litter, etc. This is what flows from being part of a community, small or large.”
The beatings and punitive recycling and high energy prices will continue until morale improves.

    Dear Donna Brazile;

You are a bitch who needs to be keelhauled, then tarred and feathered.

Do NOT mess with the Constitution.

We won't sit and let you "take care of the 1% and loudmouths".

Those "loudmouths" are what has kept you and this country free for more than 200 years.

I stand with those so-called "loudmouths" and will fight you and any government that tries to oppress us any further.

Get over your egotistical bullshit and stand down.

Yes, yes, I know, I changed the thread title. You know why? Because this savage bitch doesn't need to be President. In fact, I doubt seriously she's a good mother or grandmother.

In fact, as I said, she's a BITCH. She's a lying sack of shit that let good men die in Benghazi, probably had something direct to do with Vince Foster's death, and she and her philandering husband the fat-bimbo-bopper-Bill together are two of the worst things to happen to this country, 9-11, and Obama are the other two.

Hillary Clinton Sparking New Speculation About a Potential 2016 Presidential Run
Next Video Obama, Hillary Clinton Meet to Smooth Ruffled Feathers

    Auto Start: On | Off

For the past five years, a prominent Democratic operative who is a leading contender to manage a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign has maintained a private email listserv for friends and associates that carries a provocative name: the “Mook Mafia.”
The listserv, which one member said reaches more than 150 fellow campaign veterans, has been a means for Robby Mook and a close friend Marlon Marshall to stay connected with many of the operatives who would likely populate a Democratic presidential campaign in 2016. Mook and Marshall have both been mentioned as possible Hillary Clinton campaign managers.

President Obama receives an update on the Affordable Care Act in the Oval Office, April 1, 2014. With the President, from left, are: Phil Schiliro, Tara McGuinness, Marlon Marshall, Jeanne Lambrew, DKristie Canegallo and Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett.

Copies of a cache of the emails obtained by ABC News, and revealed publicly for the first time, show Mook and Marshall demonstrating an aggressive tone in rallying their friends behind political causes, in exchanges that are often self-mocking and sometimes border on being profane.
They include rallying cries to, in Mook’s words, “smite Republicans mafia-style,” and, to quote Marshall, “punish those voters.” Mook sometimes calls himself “Deacon” in the emails, while Marshall, now a senior White House aide, refers to himself as “Reverend” in many of the exchanges.

“This is even more exciting than walking through the back of the Bellagio.”

Their inside jokes sometimes come at the expense of fellow Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton. A November 2009 mock news release announcing the listserv in addition to a new website and an upcoming reunion for the “Mook Mafia” included a fabricated quote from the former president.
“The Mafia has finally built a bridge to the 21st century,” Bill Clinton is jokingly quoted as having said in an email that appears to have been written by Marshall. “This is even more exciting than walking through the back of the Bellagio.”
The private emails were provided to ABC News by a Democrat on the listserv who has worked alongside Mook and Marshall on previous campaigns. The person who provided the emails is, like the vast majority of those on the listserv, supportive of Hillary Clinton, but does not support the idea of Mook or Marshall holding leadership roles in a second presidential bid. They were provided on the condition of anonymity.
That the emails are emerging publicly reflects the ferocious intra-battle to populate the top positions of an expected Clinton campaign.
Neither Mook nor Marshall responded to requests for comment. ABC News first reached out to both men Thursday morning, by email and phone.

    "Crushing it mafia style."

On one level, the listserv is a testament to the loyalty Mook, 34, has inspired over a decade in national politics. His resume includes stints on Howard Dean’s 2004 campaign, running a series of state efforts for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential bid and managing Terry McAuliffe’s successful run for governor of Virginia last year.
Marshall is also a veteran of Clinton’s 2008 campaign. He joined Obama’s field operation after the primaries, and he then served in top positions for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, often working alongside Mook along the way. He is now a special assistant to the president and serves as principal deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement.
The exchanges provide a window into the clubby and pugnacious motivational styles of both Mook and Marshall, two stars of their party’s universe of field organizers and operatives.
The two most-recent messages to the group came just last week, on Election Day. They included a reference to a team reunion that would likely be held in New York early next year.

At least some recipients saw that reference as presuming that “Mook Mafia” members would be involved in running Clinton’s likely presidential candidacy. Clinton represented New York in the Senate and is said to be considering a campaign headquarters in Westchester County.
“TEAM! I was just at the DCCC last night for the GOTV [get-out-the-vote] rally, where we were in the middle of GOTV calisthenics when Nancy Pelosi walked in and said we looked like the Village People. Some things you can’t make up,” Mook wrote at 2:59 pm on Election Day.
Mook continued: “This has been a tough cycle -- midterms always are -- but what's been so amazing to me is how from the Senate to the House to Governor's races and beyond, we've been keeping the other side on defense. So many of you have played leadershp [sic] roles building field programs, managing campaigns, or running programs from allied groups. It's been incredibly insipiring [sic] to see.”
Marshall had written the group earlier that day from Florida, where he was working – apparently in a volunteer capacity because he still works for the White House -- to elect Charlie Crist as governor.
“I know many of you are out there on campaigns, crushing it mafia style,” Marshall wrote. “We unfortunately didn’t do a call this year, but Robby and I wanted to start a chain to acknowledge many in our great family who have been out there busting their tails for all that is right in the world.
“We also wanted you to know that this years [sic] reunion will actually be held early next year, January or February, and likely in New York for a weekend. Apologies for the late notice and for not sending anything out on a reunion. Please believe there will be one. The planning committee has just been a tad busy!”
The email was signed “MM,” with Marshall adding a hashtag: #mafia4life.

    "F U Republicans."

The existence of a “Mook Mafia” of friends and loyalists who extend through Mook’s previous campaign work has long been known. Scattered references to the informal group have appeared in favorable Mook profiles, and a Politico story last week referenced the possible New York reunion that was mentioned on the listserv.
The emails themselves, though, have not been seen publicly before. Much of the email traffic on the listserv appears to have been mundane: announcing job openings and new assignments, advertising or seeking rooms for rent in battleground states and organizing reunions in places including Las Vegas and Columbus, Ohio.
In the more substantive messages, though, Marshall emerges as the more aggressive of the duo. Writing in January 2010 to urge fellow “mafia” members to work hard on behalf of Massachusetts Senate candidate Martha Coakley, Marshall offered “an overall big thank you to everyone on this list who continues to fight the good fight.”
“F U Republicans. Mafia till I die,” he wrote. “If you have just a few minutes, hop on that activate and punish those voters!” (“Activate” is an apparent reference to a software program allowing volunteers to contact targeted voters by phone from anywhere in the country.)

    "The Mafia never separates."

The following year, in confirming news that he would be taking a new job that would include a move to Chicago, Marshall offered special thanks to Mook.
“First, the mafia never separates, it just continues to grow and expand and move into other states in order to destroy Republicans,” he wrote. “A special thanks to none other than the namesake himself, Deacon Robby Mook. Without him, there would be no mafia and I for sure know I would not have learned as much as I have in this business and have this opportunity.”
Mook responded by announcing “mandatory” attendance at a goodbye party for Marshall at a Capitol Hill bar.
“It's true: Marlon Marshall is leaving our fold. Today is the day the grownassman [sic] grows up and leaves for America's Second City. I know this prodical [sic] son will return to the mafia manger soon enough to smite Republicans mafia-style,” Mook wrote.
“If you can't be here in person, join me in spirit by sending your words of love and encouragement to the Most High Grown Ass Reverend Marlon D as he embarks on his pilgrimage. Please believe and obey the beard.”
Both Mook and Marshall have been discussed as potential Clinton campaign managers, should she run for president. Another top contender, Guy Cecil, may have seen his chances damaged by last week’s Republican rout because Cecil was running the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee for this election cycle.

Hillary Clinton may have dodged State Department records with personal email

    7:43 a.m. ET

On Tuesday, The New York Times revealed that Hillary Clinton used a personal email address during her time as secretary of state. Now, the Times reports that Clinton's lack of a government email address allowed her to avoid record requests from the State Department.
Department officials confirmed that since Clinton had used a personal email, it wasn't subject to searches. Clinton gave the department 50,000 pages of emails she sent from her personal account, but some worry it did not include all of the information from her tenure. The Times reports that the State Department will search Clinton's provided emails, at congressional requests.
"Very specific guidance has been given to agencies all across the government, which is specifically that employees of the Obama administration should use their official email accounts when they’re conducting official government business," White House spokesman, Josh Earnest told the Times. "However, when there are situations where personal email accounts are used, it is important for those records to be preserved consistent with the Federal Records Act." Meghan DeMaria

    Email again.

Every IT person on the planet knows that government emails are backed up.

    Apparently, so does Clinton.

Government personnel, contractors and military are NOT allowed to use private email addresses from work. Did you all know that?

Federal law requires this. As Sec State she had to use government email for all government related correspondence.

She set up her OWN servers to AVOID that. This has become quite clear and obvious.

Now, wrap your mind around this.

There is a separate system to pass classified information. IF she sent classified data through that, it's time to stick her Teflon ass into jail.

Membership in Clinton’s Email Domain Is Remembered as a Mark of Status

Just before Hillary Rodham Clinton was sworn in as secretary of state in January 2009, she and her closest aides decided that she should have her own private email address as Mrs. Clinton moved away from the Blackberry address that she had used during her 2008 presidential campaign.
Private email would allow Mrs. Clinton to communicate with people in and out of government, separate from the system maintained at the State Department.
An aide who had been with the Clintons since the 1990s, Justin Cooper, registered the domain name, clintonemail.com, which had a server linked to the Clintons’ home address in Chappaqua, N.Y. Obtaining an account from that domain became a symbol of status within the family’s inner circle, conferring prestige and closeness to the secretary.
Chelsea Clinton was given one, but under a pseudonym, Diane Reynolds, which she frequently used when she checked into hotels. Huma Abedin, Mrs. Clinton’s longtime aide and surrogate daughter, was also given a coveted clintonemail.com address.

And Mrs. Clinton used this private address for everything — from State Department matters to planning her daughter’s wedding and issues related to the family’s sprawling philanthropic foundation.

Six years later, as Mrs. Clinton prepares for a 2016 presidential campaign, her exclusive use of her clintonemail.com address while secretary of state has set off intense criticism, because it shielded her correspondence from being searched in response to public records requests at the State Department. The practice has also raised questions about whether Mrs. Clinton’s private email was vulnerable to security risks and hacking.
At the request of the State Department, Mrs. Clinton turned over about 50,000 pages of emails from clintonemail.com related to the government issues late last year. But her aides have declined to describe the process by which they selected which emails to hand over and which to hold back, and public records experts have expressed alarm that Mrs. Clinton’s correspondence was not being preserved as part of the State Department record-keeping system while she was in office.

Late Wednesday, Mrs. Clinton said in a Twitter message that she had asked the State Department to release her emails and that they would review them for release as soon as possible. “I want the public to see my email,” she wrote.

“It seems her intent was to create a system where she could personally manage access to her communications,” said John Wonderlich, policy director of the Sunlight Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates transparency in government.

“Given all the power she had as secretary of state, a lot of that work would be jumbled together,” Mr. Wonderlich said. “Her presidential ambitions and the family foundation would be wrapped up technically in email.”

Mrs. Clinton’s allies have maintained that she followed protocol in the use of a private email address. A spokesman declined to elaborate on Wednesday about her use of clintonemail.com for matters related to the Clinton Foundation, which has received millions of dollars in donations from foreign governments. The foundation ceased to accept most donations from foreign countries while Mrs. Clinton was at the State Department but began the practice again after she left office in February 2013.

In an email of talking points to supporters, Burns Strider, a senior adviser to Correct the Record, a group that defends Mrs. Clinton in the news media, pointed out that former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida, also a likely 2016 presidential candidate, also hosts his own personal email server.

Mr. Bush is a prolific user of email who continued to use his personal jeb.org domain, which his aides could also access, while he was in the governor’s office, said Kristy Campbell, Mr. Bush’s spokeswoman. Under Florida’s records laws, emails from Mr. Bush’s personal account have been made public. “His emails were available via public records requests throughout his time in office and have remained available,” Ms. Campbell said.

In earlier years, Mrs. Clinton’s account at clintonemail.com was connected to a server registered to the Clintons’ Chappaqua home in the name of Eric P. Hothem. Mr. Hothem, a former aide to the Clintons, now works in finance in Washington, according to regulatory disclosure documents.

Mr. Hothem, whose name was misspelled in Internet records, did not return a message left on Wednesday with an assistant at his office. Mr. Cooper, whose name is on the clintonemail.com domain registration, now works at Teneo Holdings, a corporate advisory firm with a broad array of global business clients partly run by Douglas J. Band, a former adviser to Bill Clinton.

The Clintons eventually decided they did not want all three family members on the same email domain, in part, an adviser said, out of concern that it might look as if Mrs. Clinton’s official business at the State Department was too closely overlapping with Mr. Clinton’s work as a global philanthropist. Mr. Clinton stuck with presidentclinton.com, which was established in 2002. Chelsea Clinton has now set up chelseaoffice.com. The clintonemail.com domain is set to expire in 2017, when Mrs. Clinton, if successful in her presumptive campaign for president, would take office.

In addition to concerns that Mrs. Clinton’s private emails are not subject to requests under the Freedom of Information Act, there are also questions about how secure her personal email address was as secretary of state.

“She obviously would have been targeted when she stepped outside of the secure State Department networks,” said Tom Kellermann, a cybersecurity expert with Trend Micro. He said her use of her own email server instead of her government account, with its built-in security systems, would be akin to her leaving her bodyguard in a dangerous place. The unintended consequence, he said, is that Mrs. Clinton may have “undermined State Department security.”

On Wednesday, a congressional committee examining the 2012 attacks in Benghazi sent a subpoena to Mrs. Clinton’s lawyers for all of her emails related to Libya. The committee sent the broad subpoena because it is seeking to determine whether Mrs. Clinton has handed over all of her correspondence about the attacks. Three weeks ago, the State Department provided the committee with roughly 900 pages of emails that the department said had come from her personal account. The committee also sent letters to Internet firms, telling them they were legally obligated “to protect all relevant documents” related to the Benghazi attacks.

What Hillary Clinton’s emails tell us about scandal in the age of Obama

    Paul Waldman

    (AP Photo/Evan Vucci)

    March 5, 2015

On Monday evening, The New York Times posted a story about Hillary Clinton's use of email as secretary of State that immediately had Republicans salivating and Democrats gulping. At the moment it's still unclear whether Clinton did anything wrong, let alone illegal, but it certainly brought back memories of the 1990s, when we were never without a Clinton scandal, or at least one Republicans were trying to drum up. It's also a reminder of the fundamentally different kind of scandal-mongering that has gone on for the last six years.

It isn't for lack of desire. Republicans have certainly tried to whip up scandal at Barack Obama whenever possible. But scandals are driven both by what an administration does and how its opponents choose to go after it.

No administration, particularly one that lasts two terms, is entirely without scandal. It seems impossible to bring thousands of people into positions of authority and not have human weakness express itself. But this administration has actually been remarkably free of major scandals. There has been nothing on the scale of Watergate or Iran-Contra, and the smaller controversies haven't implicated the president himself.

The most remarkable scandal may be the one that never happened: In its first year, the administration passed a $787 billion stimulus bill, and all the money was distributed without any news of stolen funds or sweetheart deals. And if today you rattled off the names of the supposed scandals that have come and gone — Solyndra, Fast and Furious, the IRS affair — the response of the Americans who are not avid Fox News viewers would range from "What was that supposed to be about again?" to "That didn't amount to much, did it?"

Take, for instance, the IRS. When the story broke, the administration's critics were sure it would reveal that the White House was using the tax agency to punish its opponents. But it turned out to be something less nefarious: A bunch of poorly trained employees were struggling to apply a vague law on what differentiates a political organization from a genuine charity, and when they were deluged with new tea party groups applying for charitable status, they gave some of their applications extra scrutiny, resulting in delays processing those applications. Problematic in some ways, but hardly a Nixonian conspiracy.

But then there's Benghazi. It's no accident that this is the Obama administration faux scandal that earned the undying obsession of Republicans. They have mounted one investigation after another, and failed again and again to uncover the sinister conspiracy that so many of them believed must be hidden somewhere. They're sure Benghazi involved a massive cover-up, but not only haven't they been able to find it, they can't even figure out what was supposed to be covered up. Faced with the fact that it was a terrible tragedy, and perhaps even preventable — but not a result of an administration that didn't care about Americans being killed or maybe even wanted them to be killed — they shake their heads and insist that they just have to keep digging.

So why, after all this time and all those investigations, is Benghazi still the vehicle of so many Republicans' hopes for taking Barack Obama down? Consider some recent poll results. Sixty-nine percent of Republicans believe Obama doesn't love America. Fifty-four percent of them think that "deep down" he's a Muslim, not a Christian. Throughout his presidency, majorities of Republicans have doubted whether he was actually born here. The average Republican thinks that the president is either literally a foreigner, or at best is just foreign and anti-American in his beliefs. So it shouldn't surprise us that an incident where Americans died in a Muslim land in a terrorist attack is the one they've always believed would lead to incontrovertible evidence of Obama's treachery.

The Clinton years were different, not because Republicans despised that Democratic president any less, but because of what they thought his particular sins were. They knew in their hearts that Bill Clinton was venal and duplicitous, and if you scratched any surface you'd find the corruption lurking within. But they didn't think he was betraying America, just that he was doing everything from running drugs to having his political enemies killed. There was no matter too trivial or ridiculous for them to investigate; it may have reached the height of absurdity when the Republican Congress heard 140 hours of testimony on whether the Clintons had misused the White House Christmas card list. And when he made for himself an actual sex scandal, all the resentments of the 1960s culture wars came gushing out, and at the end of it they were disgusted with a public that didn't share their moral condemnation.

By the time Clinton's administration was over, he did something that incensed Republicans more than all his previous sins put together: he got away with all of it, and in style. Impeachment failed, and the last Gallup poll of his term pegged his approval at a stunning 66 percent.

Barack Obama won't ever again get approval ratings that high, because of how polarization has intensified since then. But his term may well wind down without any of the mini or fake scandals of his presidency taking much of a toll. Should that happen, Republicans will insist that if they only had more time, and if only the media had paid more attention, and if only the public had its head screwed on right, then everything would have been different. But by then they'll be focused on Hillary Clinton, convinced that any day now they'll discover the scandal that will bring her down.
