    Default Rush r40

My wife and I went to the Rush concert in the Denver Pepsi Center last Saturday. I don't know what I expected, but the show was absolutely stellar. Three guys from Toronto, now in their early sixties, been playing for over 40 years. They were at the top of their game.

It was like observing the work of master artists.

    Have a look.

Huh. After posting, the video doesn't seem to be working. Audio is there. Any ideas?

    Works fine for me.

That said, I'm not all that big of a Rush fan. Not exactly my style. Don't mind a couple of their songs like Red Barchetta and Working Man though.

I do recognize them for what you pointed out though. They do have amazing staying power and are still very good at what they still do.

I may or may not have Hair Nation programmed on my SiriusXM lineup.

I was and am a big RUSH fan since about 1978 with Hemispheres. If I say I've been to a dozen RUSH concerts, I'm probably forgetting a few.

They were pretty unlike the Metal bands of the 80s. They weren't in it for the chicks, the fame, booze and drugs. (Though they did go through a 1970s pot phase) 3 guys who liked music and didn't want to find themselves stuck in Canada pumping gas. They were all married, kids, trying to pay the bills.

    I'd start with
    Moving Pictures (1981)Signals (1982)
Work backwards from there, then forwards. They went through a somewhat lame electronica period in the late 80s, but just about everyone else did too. Blame the 80s.
