'Star Trek' Cast, Crew Members Back Clinton Over Trump
September 30, 2016
The cast and crew of "Star Trek" want to send Hillary Clinton where no woman has gone before — the presidency.
Members of former and current Star Trek series and films have joined together to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president of the United States, the team said in a Facebook page entitled
"Trek Against Trump."
"Never has there been a presidential candidate who stands in such complete opposition to the ideals of the Star Trek universe as Donald Trump," the post reads.
Notable names on the list opposing Trump's presidency include: JJ Abrams, George Takei, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Wil Wheaton and others.
Not only do the Trekkers oppose Trump but they want to ensure Clinton secures her place in the White House.
Voting for a third party candidate such as Libertarian Gary Johnson or Green Party nominee Jill Stein, they say, would be "both illogical and inaccurate."
"If, as some say, the government is broken, a protest vote will not fix it," the group says.
"Either Secretary Clinton or Mr. Trump will occupy the White House," the post reads. "One is an amateur with a contemptuous ignorance of national laws and international realities, while the other has devoted her life to public service, and has deep and valuable experience with the proven ability to work with Congress to pass desperately needed legislation."

Seems to be damn near everyone involved with the show. As I'm sure is well known, I'm no fan of Trump but I'm equally not a fan of anyone who would back Hilldog over him. And it's too bad they just couldn't keep their stupid faces shut and not sully one of my favorite things.
I'm not surprised by a number of names on the list like Abrams and just about everyone involved in the new Trek movies (disappointed to see Zoe Saldana but not surprised), nor Takei, Mulgrew, Spiner, or Wheaton who are all hard lefties.
Disappointed and a bit surprised to see Scott Bakula, John de Lancie, Johnathan Frakes, Walter Koenig, Robert Picardo, Connor Trinneer, and Karl Urban. Disappointed but not exactly surprised to see Michael Dorn on ther.
Disappointed and sad to see most all of my favorite Trek hotties Jeri Ryan (), Nicole de Boer, Chase Masterson, Terry Farrell, and Linda Park on there.
Despite all of the names on there, there are some missing. Maybe they don't actually support Clinton or maybe they're just smart enough to keep their mouths shut. Some that I noticed are:
William Shatner
Patrick Stuart (though I suspect he may just be keeping quiet)
Avery Brooks (same as Stuart)
Alexander Siddig (see above)
Nana Visitor (again ^)
Nichelle Nichols (yeah...)
Colm Meaney
Roxanne Dawson (would also probably be on the list)
Jennifer Lein (probably locked up in the loonie bin right now although she's probably got too many felonies to vote anyway)
Andrew Robinson
J.G. Hertzler
Jeffrey Combs
Cirroc Lofton (He'd probably be on there)
Marc Alaimo
And, my top favorite Trek hottie I'm very glad to see not on there... Jolene Blalock
(P.S. Adam Baldwin says fuck all you idiots! [or at least I imagine he would])
