Scalise Posts Video Defending ‘Die Hard’ As A Christmas Movie
December 23, 2017
It looks like a lot of y'all got this one right – Die Hard is a GREAT Christmas movie! pic.twitter.com/3A7haRBopd

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) posted a video on Saturday to defend the characterization of "Die Hard" as a Christmas movie.
"Let's be clear, 'Die Hard' is a great Christmas movie," Scalise said in the video posted to Twitter.
"It happens during Christmas, there are Christmas parties going on. Bruce Willis does a great job of saving Christmas for all of those people that were about to be victims of a terrorist attack," he continued.
"So let's set the record straight, let's close that chapter."
Scalise had posted a Twitter poll earlier Friday asking people whether they thought the action movie could be considered a Christmas film.
Ok, Internet – is Die Hard a Christmas movie?

Scalise is not the only political figure to offer his thoughts on the internet debate about "Die Hard." Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also weighed in, telling Canadian television that the movie is a Christmas film.
