Re: Current Events and Biblical Prophecy III
Putin may not be all what he seems.
You know America is finished when it's citizens are cheering this man over our the POTUS.
Obama has allowed this man to really shine, while helping erode our credibility and influence in the ME, Europe and Asia.
Since he has been in office Russia and China are really looking more and more like superpowers.
The next steps in this cycle I'm looking for as Russia and China becomes stronger and more powerful is becoming even more outspoken and dictate not only to their neighbors but to America, how things are going to be.
Re: Current Events and Biblical Prophecy III
Putin IS NOT what he seems to be. He IS a KGB officer. He IS a trained killer. The Russians and Putin are ruthless killers - and communists.
No matter what face they put on to the world you can't change the leopards spots.
The worst thing that could have happened to America was Obama being elected. He has let us become "what we appear to be today". America is not bad, but Americans have been driven into the dirt time and time again, one scandal at a time. This is a largest psyops game that has ever been played and the Commies are winning (on both sides).
Think about it.
Re: Current Events and Biblical Prophecy III
Just to get an idea of this Putin crap.... this is from the UK Mail, a fawning, panty wetting, fainting article by a woman.... this is nonsense.
Russia IS the bane of this planet. People just don't see it and for some reason even those who study the Bible have begun to back off of the Soviet Union/Russia and the "Bear" as being one of the two major players in the End Times.
Vladimir Putin beat republican congressman in drunken arm-wrestling match in a 'millisecond' with his 'unbelievable' muscles

History books say it was the fall of the Berlin wall that ended the Cold War, but it seems Vladimir Putin and a group of American politicians personally settled the score with an arm-wrestling match a few years later.
In an interview on Southern California Public Radio this week, Representative Dana Rohrabacher, a California republican, talked about the time he met Mr Putin and was matched up against him in an impromptu arm-wrestling competition.
Mr Putin was part of a delegation of young Russian political leaders who traveled to California in the early 1990s.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...38_634x445.jpg The loser: Mr Putin was visiting Mr Rohrabacher, a former Reagan speech writer, and other U.S. politicians as part of a delegation from Russia in the early 1990s
At the time, Mr Putin was just the deputy mayor of St Petersburg but Mr Rohrabacher already knew he must be more important since he had his own bodyguard.
They met with Mr Rohrabacher, a former speechwriter for President Reagan, and other politicians including Scooter Libby.
Mr Rohrabacher, invited the delegation to play a game of American football over the weekend and Mr Putin and a few others agreed.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...44_634x423.jpg Keeping sharp: Clearly, Mr Rohrabacher didn't know he was going up against a professional
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...16_634x546.jpg No holds barred: Mr Putin has even taken on female opponents in the past
The teams were mixed with both Russians and Americans so no one country won.
Afterwards the men went to drink at an Irish pub and that's when things got interesting.
'We were having a little but too much to drink I guess, but anyway we all started arguing about who won the Cold War,' Mr Rohrabacher said.
'And so we decided to settle it like men do when they've had too much to drink in the pub.'
They started setting up arm-wrestling matches and Mr Rohrabacher was matched up against the future president of the Russian Federation.
'He's a little guy, but boy I'll tell ya, he put me down in a millisecond,' Mr Rohrabacher said of Mr Putin, a former KGB officer.
'He is tough. It's just bing you know, muscles are just unbelievable.'
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...68_634x449.jpg 'Unbelievable' muscles: Mr Rohrabacher said that Mr Putin quickly beat him in the competition due to his awesome strength

Trained: Before entering politics, President Putin was an officer in the KGB - the Soviet Union's security agency
But the Americans didn't completely lose that day.
Mr Rohrabacher says his friend was matched up against Putin's large bodyguard, and the bodyguard surprisingly lost.
That match taught Mr Rohrabacher something about Mr Putin that he believes translates to the current Russian intervention in Syria's chemical weapons arsenal.
'He's a tough guy and he's supposed to be a tough guy, and that's what the Russian people want, but there's no reason that we shouldn't try to work with him,' he said.

This woman thinks VVP's PR stunts are way over the top...
when I see him shirtless, it reminds me of certain Russian nationalists ;)
But don't discount the importance of women in a political/philosophical movement.
As Hitler said during his address to women at the 1936 Nuremberg Rally:
" I am convinced that no one understands our work better than the German woman.
Our opponents think that Germany has tyrannized women. I can only reply that
without the support and true devotion of the women of the party, I could never
have led the movement to victory. And I know that also in hard times when the
know-it-alls and those who think themselves wise lose confidence, women’s hearts
will remain true to the movement and be bound forever to me.”

A very telling strategy!!!
I hope the Left's erosion of our military is still capable of defending America when that time comes.

I know.
What Putin is really thinking, planning and directing the Russian military is to be able to carry out is a first strike scenario in his memoirs.
Dmitry Medvedev on nuclear weapons: “They may still come in handy”
admin | On 26, May 2012
http://d1ovi2g6vebctw.cloudfront.net...9c-300x187.jpg
Almost as if the strategic leaders and the media have no idea what’s happening on Russian soil, Dmitry Medvedev seems to be shouting it from the rooftops. As we have learned in the past, when Russia makes promises, they lie; when Russia makes threats, they are telling the downright truth. In just the past week, they have made one threat after another concerning their resistance to NATO’s missile shield, and things just got worse.
Exacerbating the tensions between NATO allies and Russia, Medvedev decides to flex Russian muscles on their nuclear capabilities. Charles Clover and Geoff Dyer of FT.com report:
Then, taking the podium in a glittering Kremlin ballroom, Mr. Medvedev declared that Russia’s younger generation needed positive role models to inspire them towards “success in literature, art, education, and” – he paused wistfully – “nuclear weapons”.
Medvedev continues to talk about Russia’s itchy trigger finger and their nuclear arms capabilities.
“They may still come in handy,” he said, apropos, seemingly, of nothing. “We’re not going to use them, but let’s still keep them around, because we have a big country, a complex country. We must value it and protect it.”
This heightened rhetoric is suspected to be coming from what was discussed at the most recent NATO summit in Chicago. The NATO European missile defense shield has been the subject of debate over the past few weeks, but it seems as if Russia is bringing the aggravation to a head. They claim that the defensive measures of the shield would provoke war. But, I thought that war was over? Apparently, not.
In fact, the article goes on to state:
If that were to happen, said General Nikolai Makarov, chief of Russia’s general staff, it could lead to an “illusion of security”, which could lead to war. Countries allowing the missile defence shield on their soil, Gen Makarov said, risked a Russian nuclear first strike. “A decision on pre-emptive use of the attack weapons available will be made when the situation worsens,” he breezily told a news conference this month.”
Yes, the good general actually said the words, “nuclear first strike”. This is extremely unnerving, especially given their recent activities, as reported earlier last week. Steve Gutterman of Reuters reports:
The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) was successfully launched from the Plesetsk facility in northwestern Russia and its dummy warhead landed on target on the Kamchatka peninsula on the Pacific coast, the Defense Ministry said.”
The new ICBM has capabilities, which suggest that the Russians had anticipated NATO’s construction of the shield.
The new missile is expected to improve Russia’s offensive arsenal, “including by increasing the capability to overcome missile defense systems that are being created”, the ministry said in a statement.
The General Makarov’s comments of a first strike are especially scary, concerning NORAD’s current level of preparedness.
The Clinton administration implemented PDD 60, which states that the US will absorb a first strike before retaliating.
In an interview with Robert Bell of the National Security Council, he stated that the US will no longer “launch on warning”. He further says,

Bottom line... God's Anointed will not win by using earth-destroying nuclear weapons.
But the losers might try to destroy the earth with nukes... which is why that possibility
must be eliminated with a first strike.

Ancient Babylon was the most powerful, most wealthy,
most pluralistic, most imperialistic, and most prideful
empire in the ancient world.
The city of Babylon had a huge, wide wall to protect it.
The Babylonians thought they were invincible... that no
man would dare make war against them.
When the Babylonians first noticed Cyrus, the new king
in the east... they laughed... because [they thought]
compared to mighty Babylon... Cyrus' Persia was weak.
But Cyrus had something the Babylonians did not have...
Cyrus had God's anointing... with God all things are possible. :)
Isaiah 45:1-3
" This is what the Lord says to his anointed,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of
to subdue nations before him
and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him
so that gates will not be shut:
I will go before you
and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name. "
Isaiah 41:2
"Who has stirred up one from the east,
calling him in righteousness to his service?
He hands nations over to him and subdues kings
before him. He turns them to dust with his sword,
to windblown chaff with his bow. "
Isaiah 41:25
"I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes -
one from the rising sun who calls on my name.
He treads on rulers as if they were mortar,
as if he were a potter treading the clay. "
Isaiah 13:3
" I have commanded my sanctified ones;
I have also called my mighty ones for my anger
that they might rejoice with my glory. "
Isaiah 44:28
" That says of Cyrus, He is my shepherd,
and shall perform all my pleasure
even saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built;
and to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid. "
Ezra 1:2
" This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
"'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me
all the kingdoms of the earth and he has
appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem."

The Bible is filled with metaphors and stories. None of them name Russia, America or any other current, modern country directly. No one knows when the end shall come.
"Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father." Mark 13:32

The Bible is a book of law, history and prophecy.
Prophecy is given symbolically... and many of those symbols are historical.
Just as Babylon is the term used in Revelation for the end-time evil empire...
even so... Cyrus symbols are there also... for those with understanding.
Take Rev 16:12 [which I have referenced in a previous post here] for example...
not only is Rev 16:12 a direct reference to Cyrus' ingenious stealth invasion of Babylon...
but even Rev 16:15... " I come as a thief "... also symbolizes Cyrus' surprise attack on Babylon.

The Muslims claim that the Quran is a a book of law, history and prophecy.
The Bible is not law.
It might have been in Early Catholic times - but it is not law.
The Ten Commandments are the only thing in the Book that should even be remotely considered as law today.
As I said, and you agreed - the "prophecy" is "metaphorical".
And I note you edited your original message after I entered mine.

Another interesting analogy... King David's army entered and conquered the stronghold of Zion
in a similar way as Cyrus conquered Babylon... entering by stealth along a water tunnel.

I edit many of my posts... because I tend to be a perfectionist.
And... speaking of perfection... I know only too well how the
imperfect laws of men have replaced the perfect laws of God.

Before the word "humanism" was associated with secularism, German historian and philologist Georg Voigt in 1856 used the word to describe a movement that flourished in the Italian Renaissance to revive classical learning; this definition won wide acceptance. It was not until the 1930s that the word became more connected with secular "naturalism".
This was NOT ushered in during the American Revolution. In fact, it wasn't until the late 1970s that the word "humanism" even really became used in the US military by military personnel who were about as anti-religion as the Muslims are anti-Christian. Those people have permeated the military and the government since about the 1960s. In 1978 or 1979 I was sitting in a "race relations class" which we were forced to attend back then and was flat out TOLD that "Humanism" is coming and "You can't stop it".
But, it was not "ushered in" in the American Revolution. Americans do NOT embody the "Age of Enlightenment philosophy" at all - rather a very SMALL and insignificant group called "Liberals" and "Progressives" "embody" such thinking.
I for one do not - at least not in the manner you are making it.
I don't believe in superstition, I don't believe in "supernatural" (though, perhaps there is evidence for ghosts), I don't believe in EITHER Creationism OR Darwinism (Not completely, and if one exists, they BOTH exist).
The intolerance of the Catholics in Europe, particularly Spain (Spanish Inquisition anyone?) certainly brought about a belief that people shouldn't be treated as witches and burned as heretics. Why should "Man" do what God should be doing after all?
This is my argument with ALL religions. Those preaching death like Islam, and those preaching "Do what we tell you to or else" like Christianity BOTH have no leg to stand on.
I am certainly not opposed to people who want to follow their various religious beliefs; but I won't be subjected to being told I'm going to hell, or I am not doing "the right thing" or I have to die because I'm an infidel.
God will judge me and all others in His time. Not Mohammeds or Allahs time, and certainly not some priest or religious person - and definitely not some "fanatics" time.
And I'll not sit still and let people say that Americans "caused" something.
Are you not American by birth?

My comments here so far have been rather reserved.
The American Revolution was the product of the Age of Enlightenment...
the demise of the belief in the "divine right of kings" and the rise of the
belief that man, not God, controlled the destinies of individuals and nations.
The demise of the belief in Bible-based law... and the rise of secular law.
The demise of the authority of priest and church... and the rise of rule
by humanistic reason. The demise of the sovereignty of God... and the
rise of the sovereignty of the individual and individual opinion in all things...
political and religious.

When the last year of Russia's ancient calendar inherited from Byzantium
was drawing near... Russians became apocalyptic and holy monks told God's Tsar
