George Zimmerman’s friend has mic cut on national TV

A friend of George Zimmerman — the Florida suspect facing murder charges for the February shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin — was trying to argue on a nationally televised show that his buddy didn’t break any laws by carrying a weapon and that the prosecution was presenting unfair arguments. But his microphone was cut.
HLN’s Nancy Grace abruptly ended the discussion, sending Frank Taaffe packing.
The two were discussing the lead-up to the shooting that killed Martin, and Mr. Taaffe said that Mr. Zimmerman had a “legal right to carry” his gun. He was walking the community and saw a “suspicious” person, he said, The Blaze reported.
“He was a legal, concealed-weapons-permit carrier,” Mr. Taaffe said.
Ms. Grace said: “A legal, concealed-weapons carrier. Did you just say that?”
Mr. Taaffe said again that Mr. Zimmerman wasn’t breaking the law by walking with a gun. And Ms. Grace said: “I don’t care. Jeffrey Dahmer had a legal right to have knives and a boiling pot. That doesn’t mean it’s OK.”
They then had a heated exchange about the characterization of Mr. Zimmerman “just sauntering around with a gun, looking to gun down a young black male,” with Ms. Grace claiming: “That’s exactly — he was sauntering around with a gun.”
An obviously angry Mr. Taaffe then fired back into the camera that his friend Mr. Zimmerman claimed that Martin was “on drugs. And they found THC in his system, did they not?”
Ms. Grace ordered his microphone cut.
On her HLN broadcast website, Ms. Grace said the heated exchange focused on whether the prosecution was unfair to Mr. Zimmerman, as Mr. Taaffe claimed. She said if the races were reversed — if a black man had shot a white boy — the prosecution “would be done and over with.”

I've never understood how you can be acquitted criminally and guilty in civil court.
It was wrong when they did it to OJ, it'll be wrong when they do it to GZ.

Re: Trayvon Martin Shooting - George Zimmerman
Yet another media lie:
http://topconservativenews.com/wp-co...nfair-real.jpgMedia still CENSORING near fatal beating of Carter Strange.
The media tried to keep this near fatal racially motivated mob attack quiet. However, websites like CofCC.org and others alerted the public online. The story has now gotten more attention, but all the “mainstream” news outlets are still heavily CENSORING the story.
Carter Strange was out jogging late at night in Columbia, SC. Eight black males, aged 13-18, attacked and nearly killed him. They did not beat him to rob him. They beat him because they enjoyed inflicting horrible injuries on a random white victim. The mob of vicious thugs were out in Columbia’s popular “Five Points” entertainment district harassing white people. They sought out an isolated white victim to pummel.
This webmaster has personally witnessed mobs of black thugs aggressively harassing young white people in the district as they exit bars and clubs. On warm summer nights, the city dispatches an army of law enforcement to try to protect white residents and tourists from being attacked.
The race of the perpetrators and the motivation for the beating is being completely CENSORED by the so-called “mainstream media.”
Why is the “mainstream media” putting political correctness ahead of public safety? Enough is enough. It is time do demand honesty from the media.

STOP BLACK ON WHITE CRIME!
Note: This post is from June 28th, 2011. Recently this post was revived on Facebook and some people have mistakenly thought it was a new story.
Carter Strange’s mother posted this update in the comment section on July 9th, 2013
Those 8 thugs tried to kill Carter simply because they wanted to. They were in 5 points for 23 minutes and in that time, they targeted 4 other people. They just happen to catch Carter as he was trying to get home since he was already 7 minutes late on his curfew. We sit in court and hear teachers and guards from DJJ talk about what ‘good kids they are’ and their character is being tried, not the crime. Despite the video, and the fact that they threw each other under the bus when questioned, the burden of proof is still on us to prove ‘why’ they did it, not just the fact that they did it. The whole thing has been ‘down played’ because they were juveniles. 6 of 8 of them were already on probation and two of them for doing the exact same thing to someone else a few weeks before. They were in a gang and the only reason they stopped stomping Carter’s head and face was because they thought they had killed him. . . . . . . . .which is what they were trying to do. Only one has gone to prison for that crime so far. . . .ONLY ONE, and we only have two more trials left to endure. . . .only two.
This ‘justice’ system basically just pours salt in an already open wound.

Obama Administration Considering Fed Prosecution if Zimmerman Acquitted – Double Jeopardy
By Debbie Schlussel
Even if George Zimmerman is acquitted of killing Trayvon Martin, he’s not off the hook. The Obama Administration might prosecute him in federal court.
http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archi...amasmiling.jpghttp://www.debbieschlussel.com/wp-co...yvonmartin.jpg
Today, the George Zimmerman case will probably go to a Florida jury. But, even if he is acquitted, George Zimmerman may face federal charges. Because in America–while we think you can’t be charged for the same crime twice–there really is double jeopardy, in the form of federal charges. And if you think Barack Obama–who said if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin–hasn’t instructed his Justice Department to consider it, think again.
The other day, reader David Makowsky asked me about this and whether I thought that Eric Holder would go after Zimmerman on federal charges. It’s certainly possible. They could go after him for the nebulous, baloney “crime” of “violating Trayvon Martin’s civil rights.” There is a lot of unfortunate precedent for this.
As I’ve noted on this site, that’s what happened, after April 29, 1992, when four police officers were acquitted by a Simi Valley, California jury in the beating of repeat convicted felon Rodney King, who resisted arrest. Then-President George H.W. Bush, upset over the race riots in South Central Los Angeles, spurred by the verdict, decided to give into the rioters, just like a Stockholm Syndrome afflicted hostage gives into and sympathizes with his captors. And the police officers, already acquitted by a jury of their peers, faced federal charges. Two of the four police officers, Stacey Koon and Lawrence Powell, were convicted and sentenced to 30 months in prison.
And it’s not the first time this kind of thing happened. There’s also the Vincent Chin case.
On June 23, 1982, two drunk men, one of them a supervisor at an auto plant (and the other his stepson), spotted Chin at a Detroit strip club, Fancy Pants. They mistook him for Japanese (as his surname indicates, he was Chinese), and held him responsible for American autoworkers losing their jobs, as the flood of cheap Japanese cars that came into America in the early ’80s led to a big down period in the American auto industry. And they beat Chin to death, after he left the strip club, and they paid someone to find him. The two men, Ronald Ebens and stepson Michael Nitz, were charged with second degree murder but convicted of manslaughter, pursuant to a plea deal. They were sentenced to three years of probation and served no jail time.
But after outrage by the Asian American community, the Reagan Administration pursued federal charges against the two men through the Justice Department. Both were charged with violating Chin’s civil rights. Nitz was acquitted, but Ebens was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years in prison. That conviction and sentence were overturned after the Court of Appeals found that Reagan Justice Department officials improperly coached a witness. When Ebens was retried in Ohio, he was acquitted.
I’m not saying I believe Ebens and Nitz were innocent. While I do not know all the facts of the case, I remember that it sure sounded to me (from the liberal media which controlled all news in those days) like they were guilty and should have been convicted and sentenced to prison time. But they went through the legal system and the court process, and it’s wrong to try people twice for a crime for which they’ve already been tried, just because we don’t like the result. That’s the real double jeopardy in America.
Double jeopardy is a misunderstood concept in America. It only means you can’t be tried twice for the same crime in the same court. In fact, liberal Justice Department officials–and the American Presidents who direct them–often make sure that Americans are repeatedly charged for crimes of which they’ve already been acquitted, by charging them with new “crimes” for the same crime, such as “violating” the alleged victim’s civil rights.
Yes, there isn’t just one bite at the apple–or at George Zimmerman–for left-wing race-baiters who want his hide. If he’s acquitted by the jurors in this local trial, Barack Obama and Eric Holder can swoop in and make his life hell yet again for defending himself against Trayvon Martin.
And if you don’t think they are considering it, think again. They are.
Will they do it? I’m not sure they would risk the outrage of half the country on this.
But they’ve done far worse.
Note, by the way, that no President ever sent his Justice Department to go after O.J. Simpson or Casey Anthony. They just don’t see any race-baiting value there.

Meet the Women Who Will Decide Zimmerman's Fate
http://cdn.breitbart.com/mediaserver...cc035eajpg.jpg
by Breitbart News 12 Jul 2013, 10:24 AM PDT post a comment
With the close of the George Zimmerman trial and the beginning of jury deliberations, all attention now focuses on the six women who will be deciding the fate of Zimmerman in his second-degree murder trial. Here is what is known about the six jurors, courtesy of WFTV and Andrew Branca of Legal Insurrection:
- B29: Hispanic female with eight children who works at a nursing home, living in Chicago when the Trayvon Martin shooting occurred. She said that she worked nights with Alzheimer’s patients, moved to Seminole county four months prior to the start of the trial, and said, “I don’t like watchin the news period…I don’t read any newspapers, don’t watch the news.” She added she didn’t like crime shows on television. She said that she knew that with regard to the Trayvon Martin case, a “little boy had passed away,” who she thought was “a kid, 12 or 13,” and termed Martin a “child who died.” She had previously been arrested, and told the lawyers that she would have no problem voting “not guilty” if there was a reasonable doubt in her mind.
- B76: White female of middle age who knew about case from the news, says she wants a “fair trial,” and said it was a “great opportunity” to serve on the jury. She said that she knew that someone had been shot and that Zimmerman was injured. She said she didn’t “believe what I hear on TV.” She has two children and has been married for 30 years, and said that she had used the Neighborhood Watch program in her neighborhood. She asked why “a kid was out at night getting candy” and said “If I saw someone beating a child I would definitely get involved, I’d push the person down if I needed to, to protect the child.”
- B37: White woman in her 30s owns a variety of pets (3 dogs, 4 cats, parrot, crow with one wing, two lizards), rescues wildlife, works in a chiropractor’s office, and says she does not watch television. She told attorney’s that the burden of proof lay with the state, and thinks concealed and carry weapons training is inadequate, although she said she had once had a concealed firearm license. She has two children. She said that the best use for newspapers was lining her parrot’s cage, and said she did not trust the media. She called the Trayvon Martin protests “rioting” and said she remembered that Zimmerman had been in a fight late at night and a “boy of color” had been killed.
- B51: White retired woman, unmarried, who admitted she had an opinion on the case, and admitted that she had heard Zimmerman had been told not to follow Zimmerman (false) but that he declined to do so. She also stated it was “good to know we can consider bias.” She said that Zimmerman’s participation in Neighborhood Watch was something “he was supposed to be doing.” She said that Zimmerman might have done something wrong in not waiting for police, stating, “No. Perhaps he did. Yes.” She said that she thought the Chief of Police of Sanford had lost his job thanks to not arresting Zimmerman quickly enough.
- E6: White mid-30s female who worked in financial services; defense attempted to preemptory challenge her but the judge denied the challenge. She said she didn’t know enough facts to have an opinion on the case. She has two children and had been previously arrested on a domestic violence charge. She said she didn’t follow the case closely, and said, ‘I don’t put much stock to what’s in the news, it’s so speculative.” She said she’d seen a picture of Zimmerman’s face bloodied, and that she had guns in the home. She told her children when she heard about the shooting not to dress or act to give a “false impression” while out at night. She seemed quite familiar with the concept of reasonable doubt, and asked specific questions about it.
- E40: White middle-aged female who called herself a lawyer at heart, said she could help tell jurors to only consider evidence presented in court, and said that citizens have “responsibility if you bear arms.” She is a safety officer, and has one child. She said she heard about a teenager being killed and “didn’t have time” to follow the case.
Re: Trayvon Martin Shooting - George Zimmerman
Thanks for these updates folks. I have Saturday to work and half day Sunday and I am off the rest of next week. Good timing I'd say. If anything should occur I will likely be home. Funny thing is when Boston occurred I was also on vacation that Sunday before the bombing. I was in Southern VA when it happened. That evening I was home and following the story all week long.
