Next up is another brew from local brewer, Rhinegeist. This one is their Gramps American Barleywine.
Poured a deep copper into a Snifter with a small off-white head. A lot of sweet berry in the nose. Berry in the taste too. A little citrus hop flavor to go along with it. Slightly bitter but not overly. I did get a very little graham, some more might have been more interesting. A bit of alcohol warmth. Medium body with 8.2% ABV. Very smooth drinking. This is pretty good! Nice job Rhinegeist!A bold, bright and hoppy American Barleywine Ale with rich malty notes of berry, grape and graham.
