"I-Caucus" Our Mission

Hi all well I am back and thought I would post about one of the big issues I have been involved in for the past 4 years. Which is an organization called I-Caucus, I have posted "Our Mission Statement" along with article of result in NC. As you know I live in SD Calif. and am the State Director of the Affiliate Groups in Calif. And part of the "Vetting Team" in Calif. If you have questions I will be more than happy to provide answers.

Our Mission:The mission of iCaucus is to increase the effectiveness of United States voters in utilizing their proper Consitutional role in the management of their own government; first through comprehensive education and secondly through participation in the candidate indentification and election process to ensure principled representation based upon Fiscal Responsibility through adherence to the Constitutional Limitations of Government.OUR PRINCIPLES ARE:

• LIMITED GOVERNMENT
• FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
• ADHERENCE TO CONSTITUTIONAL LIMITATION OF GOVERNMENT
• REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE TO WASHINGTON; NOT WASHINGTON TO THE PEOPLE

OUR GOAL IS TO:

• BRING GOVERNMENT CONTROL AND ACCOUNTABILITY BACK TO THE PEOPLE
• REMOVE THE INFLUENCE AND CONTROL OF “BIG MONEY” SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
• HOLD OUR REPRESENTATIVES ACCOUNTABLE TO THEIR PROMISES AND PRINCIPLES.

OUR METHOD TO ACCOMPLISH OUR GOAL IS TO:

• FIND, VET, ENDORSE AND THEN HELP ELECT PRINCIPLED CANDIDATES
• TEACH OUR DELEGATES A PROVEN METHOD TO ACHIEVE GRASSROOTS ELECTORAL SUCCESS
• EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE!

NORTH CAROLINA AFFILIATE GROUP MAKES NATIONAL NEWS!

It's fascinating to watch how one tea party planning a fundraiser for their endorsed candidates can evolve into a story gaining national attention. What fundraising event could gain this kind of attention? How about a Machine Gun Social in North Carolina? The Asheville Tea PAC is having a Machine Gun Social September 29 to raise funds for our North Carolina iCaucus endorsed candidates.

A local paper had an article for the event...so did the Huffington Post. (I don't think they like the 2nd Amendment.) The Associated Press also picked up the story and put out a very bland statement of facts (surprisingly) that was printed in many newspapers across the country. Jane Bilello, leader of the Asheville Tea PAC and the iCaucus North Carolina CQQ Coordinator, is being inundated with media calls; she's getting our message out loud and clear. Speak the Truth! Everyone has their opinion about this; but the truth remains that our Founders intended for each and every one of us to have the right to defend ourselves and our property and the 2nd Amendment gives us that right! If a person doesn't want to own a gun that's their choice; but they have no right to deny another person owning a gun. This includes lawmakers, some who still don't seem to understand our Constitutional rights!
Congrats to Jane and the members of the Asheville Tea PAC! You are doing a great job and an inspiration to all of us!

iCaucus has been silent for far too long while other organizations take the credit for the work of the citizens who participate in the process all the way to their candidates election. These citizens begin working prior to the primary to vet and endorse, thereby choosing, their own candidates to support.

This is occurring on a larger scale as the two major political parties continue to violate the trust of the voters. This situation with the NCGOP attempting to take credit for the election results in Henderson County is yet another example of this.When their statewide candidates began to run for office, they were told they did not stand a chance and needed to drop out of their races as the Party had their chosen candidates.

The NC GOP then put these candidates through two primaries in effect because they were not willing to listen to the citizens and the end result was candidates who were run out of funds. Did the NC GOP then decide to assist after requests from the candidates the citizens had worked so hard for? NO. They were told they were going to have to “ride on the coattails of Romney”. The voters did not wait for the Party. They spent thousands of dollars in radio ads, newspaper ads,brochures, and flyers. They distributed these materials at events and where they could legally while voting was occurring. These voters were the ones responsible for those numbers at the Henderson County Districts. If you look at those numbers, what they reflect is that the unendorsed GOP candidates, including Romney rode on the coattails of the citizen endorsed candidates.

Just think of how much better these candidates could have done with proper support from all. Just a couple of percentages from statewide totals to drive the point home about the lack of GOP support.

Imagine if the GOP had given even marginally more support. Financially, media, and boots on the ground. Those numbers would have been so much better. It is not the voters who need to hang their heads, it is those in the Party that need to take stock and see if they can live with their inaction. The voters were responsible for those numbers, not the GOP.

Members, participants, coordinators and leaders have provided input to the development process over the past few years and we're excited to see this new development roll out. On our current website we've been able to provide a good online vetting process with Candidate Vetting Profiles which incorporated Citizen Led Job Interview audios, written Bio, and a comment/discussion system for online caucus. Endorsement Ballots were then made available for members to vote for the candidate they considered best represents iCaucus principles and the American Citizen. The preview image above is a production draft of the front page of phase 2 of iCaucus.org. The State pages will look differently as those will become the main focus of locale. Each U.S. State will have a main page to highlight activities and content branching up and down from Federal to County and eventually Districts as appropriate. State Coordinators and local volunteers are needed! If you would like to get involved in iCaucus services, visit iCaucus.org, and register. Also, on the technology side of things for the coming year, our online conference system is in final stages of testing and when launched will be available to groups and individuals for iCaucus work across the nation. Expecting this service to roll out for use in January/February of 2013. We've experimented with a few things over the past couple of years, and are excited to spark up our complete publishing system and make it accessible to State, County and District Coordinators across the U.S. to hold Local Meetings, Caucus Sessions, and Citizen Led Job Interviews in coming elections. * We do need to raise some more dollars to complete the telephony component of the conferencing system so individuals can call in to conferences with a standard telephone. This is really great technology to advance our work. If you haven't donated in a while, please consider a small donation for our tech dept to finish this work and launch these tools so we may be more effective in coming years. ---------------------------------- As we wrap up 2012 with a wonderful holiday season, and look forward to a productive and demanding new year, please give an extra show of appreciation to America's Finest. They will not ask for it, nor will they ever expect it, but it may surely be appreciated.
