    I guess you wouldn't Mal.

I'll not going to waste my time re-listing the stuff Ryan posted, Vector and Phil posted.

This is precisely the type of small attacks that widely separated terror cells would do. The bigger the "bomb" the more media coverage they get.

This is a foreign planned attack, the cells have been let go by their bosses, and they planned for these events to happen over a few days. I expect something else to happen today and probably tomorrow as well. Tomorrow is the 19th of April. (see below)

I'll tell you something else Mal, they DID make an arrest yesterday, no doubt in my mind now. Why? Because several police authorities told news agencies it had happened and suddenly they backed off. Not because it wasn't true, but because those who released the information were not authorized to do so. They have someone in custody and they DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO KNOW IT YET.

But understand this, it isn't the "fire" by itself. It isn't the bombing by itself. It's not the chemical fire in Clinton Ok, by itself. It's all of those things taken together.

These are small, unrelated terrorist attacks all set to go around the same time period. There won't be any evidence from the Texas fire because it was several kilotons of explosive power. Any video cameras and equipment would have been destroyed so they won't ever know how the fire started exactly.

In my opinion, there are too many things happening all at once for this to be coincidental and it's all leading to something big.....

    Tomorrow is April 19th.

1775 – American Revolutionary War: The war begins with an American victory in Concord during the battles of Lexington and Concord.
1861 – American Civil War: Baltimore riot of 1861: a pro-Secession mob in Baltimore, Maryland, attacks United States Army troops marching through the city.
1942 – World War II: In Poland, the Majdan-Tatarski ghetto is established, situated between the Lublin Ghetto and a Majdanek subcamp.

1943 – World War II: In Poland, German troops enter the Warsaw ghetto to round up the remaining Jews, beginning the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

1993 – The 51 day siege of the Branch Davidian building outside Waco, Texas, USA, ends when a fire breaks out. Eighty-one people die.
1995 – Oklahoma City bombing: The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, is bombed, killing 168. That same day convicted murderer Richard Wayne Snell, who had ties to one of the bombers, Timothy McVeigh, is executed in Arkansas.

The infrastructure and soft target 'hits' do suggest being under attack however. Should we see further similar issues there will be no doubt.

Authorities Circulate Photos Of Two Men Spotted Carrying Bags Near Site Of Boston Bombings

” Investigators probing the deadly Boston Marathon bombings are circulating photos of two men spotted chatting near the packed finish line, The Post has learned.
In the photos being distributed by law-enforcement officials among themselves, one of the men is carrying a blue duffel bag. The other is wearing a black backpack in the first photo, taken at 10:53 a.m., but it is not visible in the second, taken at 12:30 p.m.
“The attached photos are being circulated in an attempt to identify the individuals highlighted therein,” said an e-mail obtained by The Post. “Feel free to pass this around to any of your fellow agents elsewhere.”
Meanwhile, officials have identified two potential suspects who were captured on surveillance videos taken shortly before the deadly blasts, law-enforcement sources told The Post yesterday.
Authorities know the names of the two men, but do not have enough evidence to make an arrest for Monday’s attack, which killed three and wounded 176, the sources said.”

Cops are seeking these two men (above) who were spotted near the site of the Boston blasts.

Investigators probing the deadly Boston Marathon bombings are circulating photos of two men spotted chatting near the packed finish line, The Post has learned.

The man in blue still has the bag over his shoulder in the crowd later, but the black backpack the man in the cap was wearing is no longer visible.

Meanwhile, officials have identified two potential suspects who were captured on surveillance videos taken shortly before the deadly blasts, law-enforcement sources told The Post yesterday.

Authorities know the names of the two men, but do not have enough evidence to make an arrest for Monday’s attack, which killed three and wounded 176, the sources said.
It was not immediately clear if the men in the law-enforcement photos are the same men in the surveillance videos.

    The developments came as:
    * Leaked photos show that the 6-liter pressure cookers stuffed with metal projectiles was powered by a $3 battery typically used in kids’ toys.
The pictures also included the circuit board, pieces of the shrapnel and twisted chunks of metal from the Fagor pressure cooker.
    * The lid of one pressure-cooker bomb was blown off with such force that it landed on the roof of the Charlesmark Hotel 35 yards away, investigators believe.
A guest mistook it for a hubcap and gave it to authorities.
    * The federal courthouse in Boston was evacuated when a caller phoned in a bomb threat following erroneous reports of an arrest. A threat was also called in to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where several victims were being treated.
    * President Obama and the first lady are scheduled to visit Boston today to attend an interfaith prayer vigil with Gov. Deval Patrick.

They also plan to visit some of the wounded victims. There are 14 people in critical condition, but all are expected to survive.

Investigators continued to sift through clues from the powerful blasts as the suspects remained at large. They took items from the home of Carlos Arredondo, the cowboy-hat-wearing peace activist who bravely helped some of the wounded spectators, including a man who lost both legs.

“They took my clothes, my shoes, my pants, my T-shirt — whatever they needed I provided to them,” he told Boston’s WBZ-TV.

Officials have also asked people to turn in any cellphone video or photos taken at the bomb sites.

Fagor America, the company that made the pressure cooker, said it was contacted by investigators and is cooperating.

The battery maker, Tenergy, said on its Web site: “Everyone at Tenergy is deeply saddened by the recent events at the Boston Marathon. Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims, their families and the Boston community.”

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack, which is believed to be a domestic plot rather than international terrorism.

Mayor Bloomberg, meanwhile, said New York will remain on high alert. There were at least 94 reports of suspicious packages yesterday, although none proved to be a legitimate threat.

The Times Square subway station was evacuated when someone reported a suspicious package at West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. Also, cops cleared a Brooklyn Heights bank over a report of a suspicious package, which turned out to be a cup of coffee.

On Tuesday, there were 77 reports that were resolved.

Meanwhile, Port Authority Police officers were in Boston yesterday offering support and refreshments to weary Boston cops.

“We received a lot of support from other agencies after 9/11, when we lost 37 of our police officers,” said Officer Brett Porigow.

    “There’s a kinship and a brotherhood . . . that we all share.”

I thought I posted the picture of those guys (reposted from either you or Vector's posts) and said "Here's your guys" or words to that effect.

As far as finding them, well, who are they then?

NY Post Claims These Are the Two Men Police Are Looking for in Boston Bombings

    Apr. 18, 2013 9:01am Jonathon M. Seidl

TheBlaze’s Billy Hallowell contributed to this report.

As authorities continue their search for clues in the Boston Marathon bombings, the New York Post has released photos claiming to show two men that investigators are looking for. Neither the Post, nor the email it obtained regarding the pictures, called the men “suspects.”

The photos have not been released to the public but have been circulated among law enforcement. Select members of the mainstream media have also seen them. TheBlaze has not viewed them.

But in a confusing twist, while sources told the outlet that the names of the men are known there apparently isn’t enough evidence yet to warrant an arrest.

In the Post’s image analysis, one of the men is seen carrying a blue bag and the other is wearing a black backpack. As for the latter individual, while he’s seen with the black bag in a 10:53 a.m. photograph, another taken at 12:30 p.m. apparently shows him without it.

“The attached photos are being circulated in an attempt to identify the individuals highlighted therein,” reads an e-mail the Post apparently obtained from authorities. “Feel free to pass this around to any of your fellow agents elsewhere.”

Below, see one of the images that the outlet posted, circling the two men in red:

Photo Credit: NY Post/Aaron “Tango” Tang

In addition to the Post photo, the internet community 4chan captured photos of the same men. They posted them on Wednesday in a photo essay identifying a slew of people they thought might look suspicious:

Similarly, a Blaze reader submitted photos noting the same thing. The man appears to have a backpack in the photo on the left, but doesn’t on the right:

The Post also claims that, in addition to the photo evidence, authorities have purportedly identified two suspects seen on surveillance video before the bombs detonated.

The Boston Globe notes that while the photos haven’t been released publicly yet, authorities plan to do so today:

Authorities have clear video images of two separate suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings carrying black bags at each explosion site and are planning to release the images today in an appeal for the public’s help in identifying the men, according to an official briefed on the case.

The official said that the two suspects were seen separately on videotape — one at each of the two bombing sites, which are located about a block apart.

That official, who spoke this morning on the condition of anonymity, said the best video has come from surveillance cameras on the same side of Boylston Street as the explosions. The official said the widely reported Lord Taylor surveillance camera, and snapshots from individual cell phone camera users, have not provided the clearest images.
Separately, President Obama is due to visit Boston today.

Saudi National in Boston Bombing being deported on "National Security Grounds"

Steve Emerson just broke the shocking news that the Saudi national, Abdul al-Harbi, who was first questioned in the Boston bombing, is going to be deported on "national security grounds." He is from a very powerful Saudi family with many terrorist ties. Abdul al-Harbi is a devout Muslim from Medina.
I said that it takes longer than 15 hours to investigate all of Abdul al-Harbi's relatives, friends, acquaintances, and business and school friends.
Perhaps a quick look at the Arabic sources should raise the eyebrows of every American relative to the extent of the problem at hand. Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are steeped in terrorism and are members of Al-Qaeda. Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda:
When I heard he was from a very powerful Saudi family, I worried about this kind of thing happening.
Secretary of State Kerry's meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal was abruptly closed to the press the day Abdul al-Harbi was being questioned. There is no doubt in my mind that this was discussed.
Today's embarassing display of rolling incompetence and badly mangled leaks led to numerous cancellations of press conferences, mis-identified suspects, promises of imminent arrest, walking back the arrest announcement, and more. They said they would release a statement and then said they wouldn't.
    Very smelly.
UPDATE: IOTW has the photo of the two suspects being sought here. A lot more here.
UPDATE: Reuters saying Obama met with the Saudis (thanks to IOTW)
    - U.S. President Barack Obama met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal at the White House on Wednesday and discussed the conflict in Syria, a spokeswoman said.
The meeting was not on Obama’s public schedule.
The spokeswoman, Caitlin Hayden, said the president joined a meeting between the Saudi official and Obama’s national security adviser, Tom Donilon.

Authorities have clear video images of two suspects in Boston Marathon bombings, official says

By Shelley Murphy and Mark Arsenault, Globe Staff
Authorities have clear video images of two separate suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings carrying black bags at each explosion site and are planning to release the images today in an appeal for the public’s help in identifying the men, according to an official briefed on the case.

The official said that the two suspects were seen separately on videotape — one at each of the two bombing sites, which are located about a block apart.

The official, who spoke this morning on the condition of anonymity, said the best video has come from surveillance cameras on the same side of Boylston Street as the explosions. The official said the widely reported Lord and Taylor surveillance camera, and snapshots from individual cellphone camera users, have not provided the clearest images.

It was unclear why authorities did not publicize images of the unidentified suspects yesterday. President Obama is visiting Boston today, and the timing of a law enforcement briefing remained unclear.

On Wednesday, the disclosure that a bomber was believed to have been seen on the Lord and Taylor surveillance video led to widespread media reports that a suspect was in custody, was under arrest, and was heading to US District Court in South Boston for an initial appearance.

Journalists and spectators converged on the Moakley *federal courthouse Wednesday afternoon, expecting a suspect to be brought in. But top law enforcement officials denied they had anyone in custody, and the courthouse was evacuated after a bomb threat. After a search of the building, employees and visitors were allowed back inside.

The Marathon Monday explo*sions killed three people and injured more than 176, many of whom were grievously maimed. On Wednesday, author*ities confirmed the identity of the third victim, Boston University graduate student Lingzi Lu, who was from China. Martin Richard, an 8-year-old from Dorchester and 29-year-old Krystle Campbell, a native of Medford, were also killed.

Sixty-two people hurt in the blasts remained at Boston hospitals Wednesday evening; 12 were in critical condition.

Obama signed an emergency declaration Wednesday for Massachusetts and ordered federal aid to supplement the local response to the bombings.

Obama will attend an interfaith service set for 11 a.m. today at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the city’s South End. The president will try to comfort a community in deep mourning, as he has done *after mass murders at Fort Hood in 2009, Tucson in 2011, and Aurora, Colo.. and Newtown, Conn., in 2012.

Obama will deliver a message “of resolve” to Boston, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday. “It will be [a message] of the commonality that we all feel as Americans with the people of Boston and those who were visiting Boston for the Marathon and who both endured this horrific event and then demonstrated their bravery in its immediate aftermath.”

Michelle Obama is scheduled to accompany the president. The Obamas are scheduled to be in Boston several hours, which suggests they may also be meeting with bombing victims. Governor Deval Patrick said he was uncertain of the president’s itinerary, but “I know that both he and Mrs. Obama have an interest in visiting victims and/or with hospital staff. I think they’re also very cautious of the disruption” caused by a presidential visit and the security it *requires.

The Associated Press first reported at about 2 p.m. Wednesday that a suspect had been “taken into custody” and was “expected in federal court” on the South Boston waterfront. AP did not name the source of the information. CNN followed with a tweet saying “arrest made” in the case.

The Globe, relying on information provided by an official familiar with the investigation, sent out tweets and posted a story Wednesday afternoon reporting that a suspect was in custody and en route to federal court. The FBI later *issued a statement saying “no arrest has been made,” while other public officials have said no one was in custody. After further reporting, the Globe is no longer convinced that its previously reliable source had accurate information.

Most of the massive 12-block crime scene around Copley Square remained closed for a third day Wednesday, as investigators continued their painstaking search for evidence.
Patrick said he is trying to find the right words to lead the state in a time of anxiety and uncertainty.

“It’s hard to say anything that is exactly right, but I feel the frustration and the anger that a lot of people are feeling,” Patrick said. “I feel the notion that someone would take a civic ritual like this and would turn it into something dangerous is infuriating to me.

“But I am also confident we will come through this stronger, and the reason I’m confident is there are so many of these stories I hear of grace and kindness people have shown.”

The pieces of evidence *recovered so far include bomb fragments, from which experts have determined that at least one bomb was fashioned from a pressure cooker stuffed with explosives laced with nails and ball-bearings.

The maker of the pressure cooker, Fagor America Inc., *issued a statement saying the company has been contacted by investigators and is cooperating.“Our pressure cookers . . . are not intended to be used for any other purpose other than cooking,’’ the company said.

After 24 hours passed without an arrest in the attack, the Federal Bureau of Investigations said on Tuesday that the "range of suspects and motive remains wide open" and asked the public to submit photos, videos or anything suspicious that they may have seen or heard.
Members of the link-sharing community Reddit.com launched a sub-section called "findbostonbombers" late Tuesday to collect clues.
"Sometimes the rules change. Sometimes dogma needs to be flipped: 'Shut up and let the cops do their job' in the case of a terrorist attack is exactly wrong," Jason Calacanis, Internet entrepreneur, said in a blog post. Calacanis suggests that investigators should be combing through services like Twitter and video-sharing app Vine for clues.
Reddit users targeted at least three men, based purely on speculation. A link posted from photos-sharing site Imgur showed photos of the men collected on the website 4chan.
Crowdsourcing advocates have gone so as far as to say that hackers can do a better job than police because they are not restricted by considerations for people's civil liberties -- such as warrants.
Meanwhile, critics warn of the temptation to turn data collecting into a witch hunt. The top post in the Reddit's "findbostonbombers" threat warns of falsely accusing people of crimes they have not committed.
"Labeling people as 'suspicious' based on the scantest evidence can do real damage, writes Slate staff writer Will Oremus.

And vetting photos, videos and accounts posted to social media can be a Herculean task. Some of the allegations and conspiracy theories circulating online about the Boston attack have already been debunked. One thread on Reddit accuses a man in a blue robe of holding a backpack in a suspicious manner, while another thread adamantly says: "That dude is wearing a fleece, not a robe." Photos of the man in blue were widely circulated online without evidence on any wrongdoing.
The social news service Storyful is in the business of checking photos and videos posted on social media to provide proper attribution for its clients.
Storyful editorial director David Clinch stressed the importance of knowing where a photo came from, its authenticity and the story behind the picture before assessing if it's relevant.
"They don't tell you were they come from. They don't source the image," Clinch told CBSNews.com.
Clinch doesn't discount sites like Reddit or 4chan, but believes taking a measured approach is a better way to make use of photos and videos spread on social media.
"It's very important to us that we don't get confused," Clinch says. "If there's anything interesting to follow up on, we'll use it."
As for the group of photos circulated by Reddit and 4chan Wednesday, Clinch says, "the photos are interesting but right now we believe they are not useful."

I wanted to say something. Mal, I wasn't being a "smart ass" when I said what I said below. I just re-read that a couple of times and it sounds kind of snotty, but that isn't how I meant any of what i said. I would guess you wouldn't find a connection to "an attack" because it's in the middle of nowhere, and I do understand that. Why blow up (or cause it to blow up) a chemical plant? It produces fertilizer, and destroying the local source can ONLY cause a hardship on the local farmers out there in Texas and other places that use the fertilizer.

So could it be an "attack"? Maybe, maybe not. Too many things have happened in the last three days or so to call them coincidental.

I received no less than three emails warning us to "be vigilant for anything out of place" in our area, and they specifically pointed to Boston, and to some other incidents in the last few days. So the government IS aware of some things I guess the rest of us aren't privy to at this point. They are trying to tell us something is happening, but they won't come right out and say that the threat is general.

So... if I sounded mad, mean, snotty etc, you have my personal apologies.

If this turns out to be some part of something bigger... well, what can I say? If it doesn't, then I was wrong and glad of it.
