Oh yeah, much easier to get lake effect going on in the Canton/Akron, Cleveland, Toledo areas.

And we're under a WWA for .10" ice and .5 snow. Another piss poor system but it just seems our mediocre Winter doesn't want to give up it's crappy grip.

You know, I'd have been happy for a decent ice storm this season even. Been a while since we've had one of those.

It's supposed to be mid 50s Sunday. Let's just get it over with and get some mid/upper 60s in here. I've got a drivetrain swap to do.

To revisit your last post though Mal, it just seems like we're not getting nearly the snow we were 15-20 years ago. I seem to recall 4-6+ storms being a lot more common. Without actually digging up the data, I feel like the last 5 years or so have been especially bad.

Yet another WWA. This time 1-3" snow Tues-Wed. Since tomorrow is the first day of Spring, I'm wondering if we'll meet or exceed our average snowfall. I'd have to look but I think we're close. Just a bunch of piddly "storms".

Also, last WWA didn't end up with anything except a damp yard. Sidewalk was barely even damp.

I ended up with about another 2" of snow. Looks like there's another system moving in around Saturday and predictions are all over the map.

We're now under a Winter Storm Watch Local mets are now giving estimated totals of 3"-5".

Could be our biggest snow storm in years!

LOL. A whole 3-5. We generally don't even discuss anything 3 or under. It's just "flurries" lol.

We ended up with a nuisance 9". By 8pm, 5-6 inches and I had snowblown, plowed and it was dying off. Woke up to another 4-5. ugh.

I had it down to the pavement/gravel and the cars cleared off at 8pm. I just shoveled a little and drove over it before I left.

Speaking of snow blowers...since I sucked a tarp in a few weeks back and messed up the bushing, I fixed it the other day.

    No sound..

I kind of pictured your snowblower doing something like this when it pulled in the tarp:

Earlier mets had dropped local totals from 3"-5" to 2"-4".

Looking at Accuweather now they're showing me with 4"-6".

Can't check what the local mets are saying on the 11pm news since I'm busy watching Live PD now.

Still looking like this could be our biggest snow in a couple years.

Storm is turning out as disappointing the rest this winter but for a different reason.

We're getting some pretty decent snowfall rates but with the sun and warmer temps from the two previous days ground temps have been high and, air temps have been right at or just a hair above freezing. As such, we're only getting a bit of coverage on the grass and just about nothing on the roads.

I'm on call this weekend and was out further south in KY near the Crittenden area. The heavier snowfall rates are definitely south of me and they were doing a good job cooling the ground and causing more accumulation than up here.

Ended up with an especially pathetic ~1.5". Not even anything stuck to the roads around me.

I had heard Indy may have seen 12" and I know spots in KY saw +6" in places too.

    Jeez!

We actually did have snow last night too, and even at some pretty impressive rates but, air and ground temps were above freezing so we only saw some accumulation on grass and most of it was gone by morning. I heard up north near Columbus they got 2"-3".

The high tomorrow is supposed to be 72 so no surprise we're looking at severe potential.

Then we're supposed to rinse and repeat for Fri-Sat next week with potential rain/snow. Sure is getting late into the year to be having any snowfall. I'm trying to remember the latest I remember in my lifetime. I may have to go look it up to jog my memory.

ETA: Looks like our record latest seasonal snow was actually within my lifetime but I was 9 and don't remember it. We had 0.1" accumulate on May 5, 1992.

We're looking to have another 6-9 on Sat/Sun if there's enough cold air.

    I'm ready for spring.

The snow is going fast now though. It stopped snowing 10am or so, my wife's car is almost completely clear already.

We've hit 75 and the air feels as thick as soup.

Round 1 of 2 this afternoon/evening is getting ready to push through. Tornado warning issued up near Dayton due to radar indicated rotation.

Stuff in KY looks strong now but none of it seems to be severe warned.

ETA: Scratch that, one cell just went severe warned down near north of Louisville.

Also, local mets on 4pm news say "High" threat for high wind, "Moderate" threat for tornadoes, "Low" for hail and flooding rain.

Local mets have updated again. Now we're just "High" threat for winds. All others "Low".

Getting darker here. Severe warned cell should be in my area in about 20 mins.

2nd round line shaping up in the MO/IL area now. Looks to be here around 8pm ET.
