Pool party at sami's place?
I'm more of a margarita pool kind of guy...

It's looking like the weather could get a bit sporty Wed-Thurs in the Ohio Valley area.
Really don't need any damaging weather in the area trying to wrap up the interior work on my truck (yeah, I know, no updates to my thread) and starting to get ready for my Independence Day get together.
Tornado watch until 5am.
Yay night time tornadoes.
Got woken up to the weather radio about 20 mins ago for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning further north.
News showing a radar indicated tornado just south of Wilmington, OH at the moment.
Talking about 60-70 MPH gusts along the storm front. Went out and secured the truck shelter to the work van with rope.
So far everything is north of me by a bit but looking ahead, there's a big old blob of red over Indy now that looks to be heading my way.
Have a feeling I'm not going to get much sleep.
Just want to throw an endorsement up for the RadarScope app for Android. It's $10 but updates almost real time with NWS/NOAA data. Tons of products available for viewing on it too. A number of storm chasers use it and at times like these it is really great to have this data on a mobile device.
Forgot to post an update...
Worst of the weather finally blew through my area around 5:30am so I was able to get a little more sleep.
The second wave was the one that hit my area. The winds in it were pretty strong but not nearly as bad as the first wave that was North/Northeast of me.
It was definitely one hell of an electrical storm though! Thankfully no strikes anywhere near me despite the near constant lightning.
That weather you got, we got too. It blew through here pretty hard within about 12 hours. It turned out to be a bit of wind, some lightning and a little bit of rain.
Tomorrow, looks like (well, tonight first, rain 11-2am) then a chance of rain, Tstorms and about 60% chance over all all-day-long.....
Guess I'll work on wiring. Sounds like a good time to me... Might find some arcing bits..... lol

Thanks to flooding rain forecast today and tomorrow our Independence Day celebration we do every year has been canceled.
We had the dining tent and everything set up just in case the weather was going to cooperate today but no luck.
Supposed to be rainy weather through the week which is pretty uncommon this time of year around here. Normally we're entering a dry phase where we'll get a popup storm or two, not rain and storms for days on end.
Thankfully it's looking like next weekend will be better though. After all, we've got to blow up these 220 mortar shells and 500 gram repeaters we've got at some point!
They are doing a big show here at the marina Monday. Or not. Supposed to rain a lot. Raining now.

The weather this Fri-Sun is going to be disgustingly hot with 96/96/98 highs. I am loathe to think of what the humidity will be.
I was supposed to make a 2 hour drive to a friend's in my truck at some point this weekend but with no A/C and no lightweight bimini/bikini top for the truck to keep the sun off, I'm not so sure this is going to happen.
May just sit inside and play Fallout.
Yep, the weather is as nasty as I figured it would be.
My weather station read a high today of 96 with 60% humidity.
I spent the entire day inside. Wanted to work on my truck but wasn't about to go outside for anything so, I spent some time restitching one of the soft windows on one of the doors instead. Only 2 doors left to restitch. Thankfully one doesn't need any repairs.

Seems we got a little rain last night.
Guess this as why my weather radio woke me up 3 times with flood warnings.
This sucks...
Yeah, I hate that phase of the moon too....

We had a bit of interesting weather for the last couple hours.
Near stationary thunderstorms that dumped a couple inches of rain (3-4 for most parts).
Lots of cloud to ground lightening.
Yuk. Coming my way I assume....
