Porter Goss resigns after one year as Central Intelligence Agency director

No reason given by President George W. Bush for surprise resignation or indication of his successor.
A White House shakeup has been in progress amid plummeting approval rating of the president's performance which registered 33 percent Friday, May 5.

My brother-in-law just started at the CIA as an analyst. Been there about 3-4 months now. He says the seasoned analysts morale just seems compromised compared to the corp America culture he just left. So much so he's questioning if he made the right move. It'll be interesting to see who steps into that leadership roll and how they attempt to rally the Dept.
