Islamic State crisis: Thousands flee Iraqi advance on Tikrit

Iraqi government forces have been slowed by roadside bombs and booby traps
Continue reading the main story Islamic State

A military operation to retake the Iraqi city of Tikrit from Islamic State (IS) has caused about 28,000 people to flee their homes, the UN says.
Those displaced are headed towards the city of Samarra, the UN said, but many families are stranded at checkpoints.
Aid convoys carrying relief supplies are being sent to the area by UN agencies to help those affected.
The operation to retake Tikrit, involving some 30,000 soldiers and Shia militiamen, is now in its fourth day.
They are trying to encircle the IS fighters, but their advance has been slow due to the roadside bombs and booby traps planted since the city was overrun last June, says the BBC's Jim Muir in Beirut.
Iraqi jets and helicopters are supporting the ground troops but US-led coalition aircraft are not involved.
Militants also set fire to oil wells outside the city on Thursday, officials said, creating clouds of smoke in an apparent bid to obscure targets from air strikes.
Shia militias are playing a major role in the offensive alongside Iraqi troops
Iraqi Gen Abdul Wahhab al-Saadi told state TV that the burning oil wells would not affect the operation.
But as the fighting continues, concerns for the civilian population are growing.
A UN statement said: "Military operations in and around Tikrit have precipitated displacement of an estimated 28,000 people to Samarra.
"Field reports indicate that additional displacements are under way and that yet more families remain stuck at checkpoints."
The White House and human rights organisations have also warned against the danger of sectarian reprisals by the Shia militia in the predominantly Sunni area.
Militia leaders have vowed to seek revenge for the massacre of hundreds of soldiers, most of them Shia, at Camp Speicher near Tikrit in June.

On Wednesday, a Iraqi army source told the BBC that government forces had taken control of the village of al-Maibdi, on the road between Tikrit and the Kurdish-controlled city of Kirkuk, as well as the nearby Ajil and Alas oilfields.
The road was a key supply route for IS between Salahuddin and Diyala provinces, the source said.
Another official told All Iraq News that the villages of Siha and Mazraat al-Rahim, just to the north of Tikrit in al-Alam district, had also been retaken.
However, the soldiers and militiamen have not breached IS defences around Tikrit and al-Dour, a town 19km (12 miles) to the south, which officials say is another stronghold of the jihadist group.
Tikrit, the hometown of former president Saddam Hussein, is a key target for the Iraqi government if it wants to retake Mosul, Iraq's second city, which was also seized by IS last year.

God Is Sending A Flesh Eating Plague On ISIS (Thousands Infected And Spreading Quickly)

By Shoebat Foundation on April 1, 2015 in Featured, General
THE Islamic State is facing a new enemy – being wiped out by a FLESH-EATING disease, according to reports.

The self-declared Islamic State capital is currently in the throes of an epidemic and a number of members of the Islamic State have reportedly been infected.

Efforts are reportedly being made to prevent the further spread of the Leishmaniasis skin disease, which is highly virulent, in the IS stronghold.

Although organisations began work to combat the disease, this became impossible after IS is claimed to have closed down their city offices.

They also confiscated equipment and arrested officers trying to help fight the condition which can be deadly.

The first case of the disease, which is caused by protozoan parasites, was discovered in September 2013.

By the middle of 2014 500 people had been affected, according to a network of activists ‘Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently.’

More than 2,500 cases of the flesh-eating disease have been recored in the north-east of Raqqa

The disease is spread by flies that are attracted by the rubble and rubbish of war.

It can sometimes be fatal and can also cause significant damage to parts of the body it affects.

IS is said to have a residual force of between 3,000 to 5,000 in the city, as they attempt to strengthen their so-called caliphate.

This comes after World Health Organisation reported that Syria’s health system had collapsed, meaning that disease was spreading rapidly through a country already plagued by violence.

40 jihadis who joined ISIS return to U.S.

DHS chief: 'Can't know everything' about radicalized Americans

Bob Unruh About | Email | Archive Bob Unruh joined WND in 2006 after nearly three decades with the Associated Press, as well as several Upper Midwest newspapers, where he covered everything from legislative battles and sports to tornadoes and homicidal survivalists. He is also a photographer whose scenic work has been used commercially.

Dozens of American jihadis who fought in the war in Iraq and Syria have returned to the United States equipped with the training they used fighting either for or against ISIS, according to one federal official.

And their activities are being monitored.

    Or not.

“You can’t know everything,” Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a recent interview.

It was in a televised chat with Lesley Stahl of “60 Minutes” that he admitted there may not be as much oversight of those who trained and fought with terrorists as some people would like.

Stahl asked: “As I understand it, of the 180 Americans who have gone overseas to fight in Iraq and Syria, 40 have come back. I assume you’re keeping close tabs on those 40?”

Said Johnson: “We have, in fact, kept close tabs on those who we believe have left and those who’ve come back. A number have been arrested or investigated, and we have systems in place to track these individuals.

    “But you can’t know everything.”

    See the exchange:

At Right Wing News, Warner Todd Huston commented, “So, Obama has now admitted that he has allowed domestic terrorists to run free inside the U.S., people who have already proved they are foreign fighters who have taken up arms against everything in which we believe!”

He cited Johnson’s comment and added, “In other words, DHS knows nothing, and they probably just let 40 more Tsarnaev brothers to roam across the USA free as they please.”

At the Western Journalism Center, James Beattie reported that James Clapper, the U.S. National Intelligence director, referred to the returning jihadis last month.

And Western Journalism reported, “Clapper was not the first U.S. official to make the statement, however. Former Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y., confirmed what Stahl asked Johnson about during a speech last September.

“One of the concerns is the number of U.S. citizens who have left our country to go join up with ISIS,” Bishop said. “It is believed there have been some number up to 100 that have done that. It is also believed that some 40 of those who left this country to join up with ISIS have now returned to our country.”

It was reported only weeks ago that a group affiliated with ISIS had released a list of addresses that belong to 100 U.S. military service members.

The list of locations was accompanied by a call for their beheadings.

At about that same time came a report that Egypt was warning it had intelligence indicating a jihadist group is planning a worldwide offensive this spring or summer that could reach targets within the U.S.

Interrogations of ISIS members captured in recent weeks in the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula and information collected by Egyptian security forces indicate ISIS is planning ground offensives this spring and summer aimed at taking over more territory across the Middle East and Persian Gulf, a senior Egyptian intelligence official told WND.

Some of the information indicates the new offensive will not be limited to the Arab world. Timed to coincide with its planned surge, ISIS is plotting possible attacks using cells abroad.
ISIS and its jihadist allies could activate cells to carry attacks in Europe and possibly within the U.S., the senior Egyptian official warned.

The official advocated the deployment of significant ground troops acting on multiple fronts to stop ISIS’ progression. He complained the Obama administration and international community has been hesitant to take major action against ISIS advances.

There have been numerous claims of ISIS cells embedded in the U.S.

Recently, Michael Steinbach, head of the FBI’s counter-terrorism division, was asked by CNN whether or not there are ISIS cells in the U.S.

Steinbach said there are “individuals that have been in communication with groups like [ISIS] who have a desire to conduct an attack,” and those people are living in the U.S. right now.

He conceded the FBI finds it extremely difficult to track every American traveling abroad who can join ISIS or receive training by foreign terrorist organizations.

“I’m worried about individuals that we don’t know about that have training,” Steinbach said. “We know what we know. But there is a number that’s greater than that that we don’t know.”

“Once you get to Europe, you can easily get down to Turkey and into Syria,” he noted.

WND also reported the FBI is opening up cases of suspects who may be tied to ISIS in 49 states.

“We are focused keenly on who would be looking to travel to join this band of murderers who will have come back from Iraq and Syria and to the United States,” said FBI Director James Comey in a speech to law enforcement officers in Mississippi.

“We have opened cases all over the place focused on this threat, so it is not … a Washington thing – it is something we focus on throughout the FBI,” Comey said.

ISIS Camp a Few Miles from Texas, Mexican Authorities Confirm

    APRIL 14, 2015

ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas, according to Judicial Watch sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector.

The exact location where the terrorist group has established its base is around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States, the same knowledgeable sources confirm.

During the course of a joint operation last week, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.

Law enforcement and intelligence sources report the area around Anapra is dominated by the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Cartel (“Juárez Cartel”), La L*nea (the enforcement arm of the cartel) and the Barrio Azteca (a gang originally formed in the jails of El Paso). Cartel control of the Anapra area make it an extremely dangerous and hostile operating environment for Mexican Army and Federal Police operations.

According to these same sources, “coyotes” engaged in human smuggling – and working for Juárez Cartel – help move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border between Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, New Mexico. To the east of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, cartel-backed “coyotes” are also smuggling ISIS terrorists through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas. These specific areas were targeted for exploitation by ISIS because of their understaffed municipal and county police forces, and the relative safe-havens the areas provide for the unchecked large-scale drug smuggling that was already ongoing.

Mexican intelligence sources report that ISIS intends to exploit the railways and airport facilities in the vicinity of Santa Teresa, NM (a US port-of-entry). The sources also say that ISIS has “spotters” located in the East Potrillo Mountains of New Mexico (largely managed by the Bureau of Land Management) to assist with terrorist border crossing operations. ISIS is conducting reconnaissance of regional universities; the White Sands Missile Range; government facilities in Alamogordo, NM; Ft. Bliss; and the electrical power facilities near Anapra and Chaparral, NM.

One AC-130 gunship will solve this problem in under 5 minutes.

A couple cruise missiles can also solve it.

It seems to me that the only thing holding up the process of obliterating these ISIS chumps is the lack of will power in Washington, namely from Obungo.

Personally, I believe IS would make the mistake of all mistakes advancing into the US... at least in the manner they have in Syria and Iraq. If they employ some measly-assed, cowardly terrorist approach of hide and hit and hide again, they may make some progress. However, if they roll up like an army of hairy-headed morons, all hell is going to come down on them. Maybe that's what we need to light a fire under good Americans, a substantial fight.

My concern is that the Obama administration will concurrently try to go for our guns or initiate a new level of oppression of the US populace in order to advance the IS cause, not altogether different than support given to IS estasblishment in the ME.

Another thought. The only reason IS could establish a base so close to our southern border is because someone wants them there. Same reason the cartels are aloud to flourish in the same geographic region. Destabilization.

If we didn't want them there, they'd be gone before the public (us) even knew about their presence.

Most probably the Cartels are helping them. Remember the cartels were trying to get them in place before, and they were asking for money or assistance from the cartels in the past as well.

So we KNOW they have help.

This basically means (if it were me sitting there getting daily intel briefs) that I'd up the ante in the "War on Drugs" and go into Mexico with US military forces and take their asses down fast and hard. If the Mexican government didn't cooperate, I'd be removing them immediately with surgical strikes.

Obama Administration Hauls the State of Arizona Before the UN Human Rights Council

Posted by Ben on August 24, 2010 · Comments (210)

    Ben Johnson, Floyd Reports

Apparently Barack Obama is not content to make a federal case out of his immigration feud with Arizona; he just made it an international one.

The president’s first-ever report on U.S. human rights to the UN Human Rights Council contains a rich vein of offensive material. So far, one aspect has not been reported: our petty president used the situation to bash Arizona’s immigration law — and possibly transfer jurisdiction over the law from Arizona to the UN. Throughout the report, which sounds like an Obama campaign speech, the president discusses “the original flaw” of the U.S.

Constitution, America’s tolerance for slavery, and his version of our long and despicable history of discriminating against and oppressing minorities, women, homosexuals, and the handicapped. After each complaint, he addresses how he is delivering us from ourselves, patting himself on the back for such initiatives as ending “torture,” promoting Affirmative Action, and passing health care legislation.

In his section on “Values and Immigration,” he praised the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to provide better medical care for detainees and increase “Alternatives To Detention” (e.g., letting them go). Then he turned to the one state that has had the temerity to stand in his way of fundamentally transforming the American electorate:
A recent Arizona law, S.B. 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined.
On Obama’s command, Attorney General Eric Holder has sued the State of Arizona for passing a law that he criticized without reading, and which merely upholds federal law. (He gave sanctuary cities a pass.) He now threatens an additional lawsuit against Sheriff Joe Arpaio for “racial profiling” when arresting illegal immigrants near the Mexican border.

Obama’s turns his skirmish with Jan Brewer from a states rights dispute into an international human rights cause. It also places Arizona’s law in the hands of the United Nations.

The national report is but the first step of the international government’s review process. On November 5, the United States will be examined by a troika of UN bureaucrats from France, Japan, and Cameroon (an oppressive nation which is a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference).

This trio will consider three items: Obama’s self-flagellating report, reports written about America by UN tribunals or international governing bodies, and testimony from NGOs with a pronounced anti-American bias. It will also consider “voluntary pledges and commitments made by the State,” such as suspending an Arizona state law.

Then the French, Japanese, and Cameroon diplomats will draw up a plan of action for the United States to implement.

Nations are re-examined every four years. The Human Rights Council looks for voluntary compliance. However, its website asserts, “The Human Rights Council will decide on the measures it would need to take in case of persistent non-cooperation by a State with the” World Body.

When the Left cannot win at the ballot box (virtually every time), it overrules the people in the courts. Now that Obama is not sure he can prevail in the courts, he has overruled the American people by hauling Arizona and the two-thirds of Americans who support its law before the United Nations.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer demanded Friday that a reference to the state’s new immigration law be removed from a U.S. government report to the United Nations’ human rights commissioner.

The U.S. State Department included President Barack Obama's Justice Department legal challenge to the law on a list of accomplishments that show the federal government is protecting human rights.

In her memorandum to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brewer stated that it was "downright offensive” that a state law would be included in the report, which was drafted as part of a UN review of human rights in all member nations every four years.

“The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a state of the United States to ‘review’ by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional,” Brewer wrote.

The Obama Administration made public its first-ever report to the United Nations Human Rights Council detailing the condition of human rights in America and subjecting the nation to criticism from countries like Iran, Cuba, China and others.

According to the report, the United States violates human rights because of high unemployment rates, hate crimes, poverty, poor housing, lack of access to health care, and discriminatory hiring practices affecting Blacks, Latinos, Muslims, South Asians, Native Americans, and homosexuals.

The report also discusses the rate of sexual assault in U.S. prisons and the detention of suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.

"It is a disgrace when this President denigrates his own country to curry favor with the despots and thugs at the United Nations.

Obviously, President Obama sees America and a global villain," said former intelligence officer and police detective Sid Franes.

"When the United Nations first approached U.S. officials about 'human rights inspections," the Bush administration refused to allow any infringement on national sovereignty. Of course, we had Ambassador John Bolton representing us in that corrupt institution and the liberals hated Bolton because he stood up to the UN establishment," he added.

The report discusses Obama’s new healthcare and financial industry reforms, and the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, which gives women the right to sue employers if they are paid less than men are. Obama also announced his commitment to repeal the military’s so-called “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. The report also discusses new regulations that increase accessibility for people with disabilities.

The report says that it welcomes “observations and recommendations” from concerned members of the U.N. Human Rights Council, which includes countries such as North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Libya.

President Obama is hoping these foreign nations “can help us on the road to a more perfect union.” The administration went on to say that “Although we have made great strides, work remains to meet our goal of ensuring equality before the law for all.”

What the Human Rights report did not mention were incidents of physical violence perpetrated against Tea Party participants. It also failed to mention voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party and the questionable activities of ACORN.

Hillary Clinton Says White House Will Sue Over Arizona Immigration Law

According to President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department is currently in the process of deciding whether or not to file suit over Arizona's controversial immigration law, which Mr. Obama has called "
    misguided" and potentially discriminatory.

According to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, however, the decision has already been made.

"President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy," she said in an interview with an Ecuadorean television station
flagged by The Right Scoop. "And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act."

The Arizona law, which would go into effect in July, requires immigrants in the state to carry documents verifying their immigration status and requires police officers to question a person about his or her immigration status during a "lawful stop" if there is "reasonable suspicion" that person may be in the country illegally.

Holder has indicated that he believes "the law is an unfortunate one that will be subject to potential abuse" and said that the Justice Department is "considering a court challenge."

It is not clear whether Clinton was just making a prediction or whether she was getting ahead of a planned announcement by the administration. The Justice Department said today it is continuing to review the law.

This Administration won't allow armed observers down on the border, if the BP finds armed watchers on the border they run them off.

U.S. Border Patrol Agents To Civilian Militias: Leave Enforcement Along Rio Grande Valley To The Pros

Rick Perry deployed as many as 1,000 guardsmen to the area. (AP Photo/Eric Gay)

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (AP) – Not long ago, the U.S. Border Patrol was the only law enforcement agency monitoring the mesquite thickets and sugarcane fields along the Rio Grande, and an agent's challenge was to distinguish between an exhausted immigrant and a threat.

Now the thick brush is teeming with hundreds of state troopers, National Guardsmen and civilian militia members, all heavily armed and often wearing tactical vests and camouflage.

Since illegal immigration spiked in the Rio Grande Valley earlier this summer, the Border Patrol has dispatched more agents, the Texas Department of Public Safety has sent more troopers and Gov. Rick Perry deployed as many as 1,000 guardsmen to the area. Officials have refused to release exact numbers, but Texas is spending $1.3 million a week on state troopers and about $12 million a month on the guardsmen.

Armed civilian militias, which have joined the fray in unknown numbers, further complicate the effort.

Field communication among the various armed agents is fragmented, and a recent friendly fire incident involving a militia member prompted the Border Patrol this week to urge that law enforcement be left to the professionals. Meanwhile, in border communities, some locals fear that the increased security presence is more of a threat.

The law enforcement entities use different radio equipment, which complicates direct communication in the field. So their representatives sit side by side in a 24/7 command center to avoid surprises — "deconfliction" in law enforcement parlance. Each shift of Border Patrol agents is briefed on the presence and activities of other entities before going into the field.

"Sometimes it can be dangerous, because you have all these (non-law enforcement) people out there running around the border," said Kevin Oaks, the Border Patrol's chief in the Rio Grande Valley. "There are cartel members that carry assault weapons and camouflage, and then there's others that may be under the auspices of whatever group, may look very similar, and we have no idea who those people are. My fear is that these things clash and eventually there will be a very bad outcome."

That was nearly the case Aug. 29, when a Border Patrol agent pursuing a group of immigrants near the Rio Grande east of Brownsville spun around to find a man in civilian clothes holding a rifle. The agent fired several shots but didn't hit the man, who was patrolling with a citizens' militia group.

The National Guard's deployment so far has barely registered with area residents. Soldiers circulate mostly between their hotels and border observation points. State troopers, patrolling in their black and white vehicles, have been far more visible.

On a recent evening, 15 troopers could be seen driving from one side of Rio Grande City to the other. They were among 31 units seen on a 35-mile stretch of border highway between Escobares and Penitas.

Rio Grande City Mayor Ruben Villarreal is philosophical about the troopers lining his main street and the guardsmen filling his Holiday Inn. Border towns are often buffeted by decisions made in far off capitals on both sides of the border, and they learn to adapt and persevere over time.

"Living along the border has made us so resilient," Villarreal said. "If we want a sense of security in the nation — because it's not just security for Rio Grande City or Texas, it's for the nation — we have to understand there are going to be compromises."

But the heightened security presence has rattled some residents who are used to living in a region with a ubiquitous law enforcement presence.

About 50 people gathered Thursday at the San Juan offices of La Union del Pueblo Entero, a labor advocacy group. A woman took the microphone and asked the crowd how many of them were worried about the intensified DPS patrols. Nearly everyone in the room raised their hand.

Among them was Isabel Barbosa, of La Joya, who said she was riding in a car with her mother and four siblings last month when a state trooper pulled them over, saying her mother had crossed the white line on the shoulder of the road.

Barbosa, 21, said her mother was initially told she would receive only a warning. But she was taken into custody after a Border Patrol agent arrived and determined she was in the country illegally. She was deported the next day after living in the U.S. for 18 years, leaving behind a sick husband and five children, the youngest of whom is 3.

"People are afraid to go out even to the store. They can't take their children even to the clinics. They can't do anything," Barbosa told The Associated Press.

Villarreal concedes that some of his constituents have been taken aback by the increased security and warns visitors to closely observe the speed limit, even though troopers find other reasons, such as dark window tints, to make stops.

"We sacrifice privacy an awful lot down here for the security that this nation needs," Villarreal said.

It’s one thing to tell civilian employees to cower under a desk if a gunman starts spraying fire in a confined area, say members of Tucson Local 2544/National Border Patrol Council, but to give armed law enforcement professionals the same advice is downright insulting. The instructions from DHS come in the form of pamphlets and a mandatory computer tutorial.

“We are now taught in an ‘Active Shooter’ course that if we encounter a shooter in a public place we are to ‘run away’ and ‘hide’” union leader Brandon Judd wrote on the website of 3,300-member union local. “If we are cornered by such a shooter we are to (only as a last resort) become ‘aggressive’ and ‘throw things’ at him or her. We are then advised to ‘call law enforcement’ and wait for their arrival (presumably, while more innocent victims are slaughtered).”

At a recent press conference, Sheriff Babeu said, "We are outgunned, we are out manned and we don't have the resources here locally to fight this."

Last month, Pinal County Deputy Sheriff Louie Puroll was ambushed and shot as he tracked six drug smugglers. Sheriff Babeu said the ambush mirrored military tactics.

The Sonoran Desert National Monument is so overrun with drug gangs that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management has warned Americans not to enter the park. by Annie Jacobsen
    June 25, 2010 - 12:00 am

Eighty-five miles northwest of Tucson lies the Sonoran Desert National Monument, a lovely area designated as a national park by one of the last acts of Bill Clinton’s presidency.

Today, the road to get there is closed. Signs warn Americans not to cross into territory south of Interstate 8, land the former president called “a magnificent example of untrammeled Sonoran desert landscape.” An ironic choice of words — untrammeled is defined as “not deprived of freedom; not restricted.”

An American national monument has become a drug-smuggling corridor between Mexico and the southwest. Wars between Mexican drug cartels have grown so severe in the park that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), who manages it, says it’s too dangerous to enter.

The park sits in the Vekol Valley, which falls under the jurisdiction of Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. Unlike BLM, Babeu has law enforcement obligations to uphold. In April, one of Sheriff Babeu’s deputies, Deputy Louie Puroll, was ambushed in the park while chasing six drug smugglers. Despite the fact that Puroll fired 46 rounds of ammunition at his assailants, he was outgunned, overtaken, and shot.

In a press conference earlier this month, the desperate sheriff called for help from the federal government, asking for as many as 3,000 soldiers:
We are out gunned, we are outmanned, and we don’t have the resources here to locally fight this. … We need action. People are getting killed out there. We have drug cartels at war with each other. … It’s shameful that we, as the most powerful nation on Earth … can’t even secure our own border and protect our own families.
With the federal government ignoring his pleas, Babeu faces an uphill battle — one that got bigger the third week in June. A group of neo-Nazis decided it was time to take matters into their own hands.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — A spray-painted sign threatening death for U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents was found Friday next to a school in a northern Mexico state capital, officials said.

Addressed with profanity to "Gringos (D.E.A.)," the unsigned graffiti warned: "We know where you are and we know who you are and where you go. We are going to chop off your (expletive) heads."

Anonymous messages conveying threats and other warnings are common in areas hit hard by Mexico's drug war, but it is rarer for them to threaten U.S. law enforcement. Authorities do not know who left the message, which was removed.

The DEA referred questions to the U.S. State Department. Officials there did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The message was left in the Chihuahua state capital, also called Chihuahua, which is about 220 miles (360 kilometers) from the U.S. border.

In February, suspected Zeta cartel members killed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent Jaime Zapata and wounded colleague Victor Avila on a highway in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi.

Also on Friday, five copies of a message addressed to Chihuahua Gov. Cesar Duarte were found painted on blankets known as "mantas" in Ciudad Juarez, a city across the border from El Paso, Texas. Those messages, apparently posted by rivals of the Sinaloa drug cartel, accused officials of protecting the Sinaloa organization.

It was not clear if the messages in Chihuahua and Ciudad Juarez were related.

"This sort of message will not stop us from continuing the fight to bring peace back to this state," Chihuahua Interior Secretary Graciela Ortiz said.

The threatening message against Duarte comes amid threats to the governor of Nuevo Leon, another northern state bordering Texas. Two of Gov. Rodrigo Medina's bodyguards were mutilated, killed and dismembered in June.
    Seems prophetic now...

Hossein Salami said in a televised interview. “We have recognized America’s military strategy, and have arranged our abilities, and have identified centers in America [for attack] that will create a shock.”

Reports indicate that terrorist Hezbollah forces — allies of Iran — have infiltrated the U.S. and have mapped out targets.

“We will conduct such a blow in which they [America] will be destroyed from within,” Salami said.

This is the second warning by a high-ranking officer of the Guards in two weeks. The chief commander of the Guards, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jafari, addressing Secretary of State John Kerry, said on Jan. 24 that a direct conflict with America is the “strongest dream of the faithful and revolutionary men around the world.”

Kerry had previously said that if Iran did not live up to the agreement reached in Geneva on its nuclear program, “all options are on the table.”

“Your threats to revolutionary Islam are the best opportunity,” Jafari had said. “Muslim leaders for years have been preparing us for a decisive battle.… Do you know how many thousands of revolutionary Muslims at the heart of the Islamic revolutionary groups around the world are awaiting for you to take this [military] option from the table into action?”

Gen. Salami went further, saying the Revolutionary Guards have taken into consideration America’s military ability and different scenarios under which the U.S. could attack Iran via a limited missile or air strike, or even a ground attack.

“All operational bases of the enemy in the region in whatever capacity and location are within our firepower,” Salami warned. “The American military option does not make a difference for us, and they can use this option, but they will have to accept the responsibility of devastating consequences.”

Salami asked whether America could control the spread of any war with the Islamic Republic: “Can they preserve their vital interest in the region in the face of endless attacks by Iran? Can they keep their naval assets and the Zionist regime [Israel] secure?”

Salami said that with the U.S. economy and debt, America is in no position to engage Iran militarily.

The general then taunted Washington, citing Iran’s political and cultural influence in Iraq. “The current has changed for the Americans so much so that they invest [by invading Iraq] and others [Iran] benefit.”

Texas Governor Rick Perry said a record number of illegal immigrants from Syria, Pakistan and Afghanistan have been apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border.

On Sunday's State of the Union on CNN, Perry said the "historic record highs" of individuals from "countries that have substantial terrorist ties" threaten America's national security.

Later on the program, Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX), the House Homeland Security Committee Chair, said Iranian terrorists have had plans to sneak across the border. He also said that others who want to do harm are seeking to exploit America's porous border.

Perry also said that since 2008, 203,000 illegal immigrants have been put in Texas' jails, and those illegal immigrants "have been responsible for 3,000 homicides and almost 8,000 sexual assaults."

"I wish the President would respect that desire of Texans and the citizens of this country to secure the border," Perry said. "That's the real issue here—and one that all too often gets deflected by the conversation about unaccompanied minor children."

Because the border is insecure, Perry said that “individuals from ISIS or other terrorist
states could be” taking advantage of the situation. “I think it's a very real possibility
that they may have already used that,” he told an audience at the Heritage Foundation
    in Washington.

“We have no clear evidence of that,” he continued.

Perry said Texas has seen historic levels of individuals from countries with terrorist ties
recently, including three Ukrainians arrested on a ranch in West Texas in the past two

Perry used the argument to frame the broken border situation as a matter of national

“We need to have clear and compelling forces, both law and enforcement and
otherwise, to send the message that the border is secure,” the potential 2016
    Republican presidential candidate said.

ISIS, a Sunni Muslim extremist group that refers to itself as the Islamic State, has
waged a rapid campaign across Iraq this summer seizing towns and villages and
targeting Christians, minority sects, and Shia Muslims.

In his remarks, Perry called for a more robust response to ISIS in Iraq, saying the
Obama administration’s recent actions have been inadequate.

“When they talk about limited airstrikes, they place a great emphasis on the word
'limited,’ yet clearly more airstrikes are necessary,” he said. “Nothing less than a
sustained air campaign to degrade and destroy ISIS forces is required.”

Asked by a reporter in the audience if he would support combat troops on the ground,
Perry said, “all your options have to be open.”

ISIS Has Camps On The U.S. Border, But Obama Says ‘Right-Wing Extremists’ Are The Greatest Terror Threat

    by Michael Snyder • April 14, 2015

ISIS camps have now been discovered directly across the U.S. border with Mexico, ISIS operatives have been captured illegally entering the United States, and ISIS is threatening to conduct a massive campaign of terror against U.S. targets, and yet Barack Obama and his underlings continue to insist that “right-wing extremists” are the greatest terror threat that this nation is facing. One recent survey found that 84 percent of all Americans believe that ISIS is a “direct threat to the USA”, but Obama refuses to secure our borders and he is even allowing dozens of American citizens that fought for ISIS overseas to come back into this country. What in the world is Obama thinking? Even though ISIS has promised to drown all of us in our own blood, the Obama administration has purged virtually all references to Islam out of government terror training materials. Meanwhile, as you will see below, Obama’s political enemies have been regularly labeled as “potential terrorists” in official government documents during the Obama era. This includes “patriots”, “conspiracy theorists”, “evangelical Christians” and “general right-wing extremists”.

This week, we learned that it has been confirmed that ISIS cells are operating in northern Mexico just a few miles from U.S. territory. The following is an excerpt from a bombshell report that Judicial Watch just released…
This comes on the heels of reports that federal authorities recently captured members of ISIS after they came across the border
The warning follows reports from Judicial Watch in recent months that Islamic terrorists have been captured in Texas after coming across the U.S. border from Mexico.
The organization said just last winter its sources within the Department of Homeland Security said several ISIS terror group members were arrested by federal authorities and the Texas Department of Public Safety in McAllen and Pharr.
Considering how porous our border security is at this point, how many more members of ISIS have been able to come across without getting caught?
And none of this should be catching anyone by surprise. There have been warnings since the middle of last year that ISIS would be attempting to cross the southern border and attack targets inside the United States. The following comes from a recent article by Kurt Nimmo

In 2014, Midland County, Texas Sheriff Gary Painter said ISIS would cross the border and strike the United States.
In August, a former CIA officer, Mike Baker, told the Laura Ingraham Show ISIS works with the drug cartels.
Judicial Watch said in August ISIS was using Juárez as a staging area and planned to launch a car bomb attack against Fort Bliss, a U.S. Army base about fifteen minutes from the border.
In September, ******** reporter Joe Biggs. traveled to the area and crossed the Rio Grande dressed in an ISIS terrorist outfit. The stunt demonstrated how easy it would be for terrorists to enter the country.
But some members of ISIS don’t even have to try to come into the U.S. illegally.

If you can believe it, the Obama administration is actually welcoming back home many Americans that went overseas to fight for ISIS. Just check out what Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson recently told 60 Minutes

All of this is happening despite the fact that ISIS is threatening a massive wave of terror attacks inside this country.
They even have a hashtag on Twitter for this campaign. It is “#WeWillBurnUSAgain”, and it has already been used more than 15,000 times.
A video that was released in conjunction with this campaign sounds quite ominous

“America thinks it’s safe because of the geographical location,” its voiceover says. “Thus you see it invades Muslim lands, and thinks that the army of jihad won’t reach in their lands.
“But the dream of Americans to have safety became a mirage.”
If I was in the White House, I would be inclined to take this sort of thing quite seriously.

But instead, the Obama administration continues to be obsessed with the “threat” from “right-wing extremists”. For example, a recent National Guard exercise featured role players that posed as “sovereign citizens” and chanted right-wing rhetoric

The exercise, which ******** reporters were barred from attending, took place in Richmond this past weekend and involved more than 200 soldiers, airmen, local law enforcement and firefighting personnel.
Footage captured by a local shows Guard troops pushing irate citizens away with batons before one of the protest group states, “I’m a sovereign citizen, I refuse to recognize you guys, I refuse to recognize you.”
“Why in the course of a drill for a dirty bomb, would an actor claim to be a sovereign citizen?” asks Keith Johnson, who filmed the footage. “The San Francisco Bay Area is not known for it’s sovereign citizen militia population and hearing this shouted during a mock terrorist scenario was disturbing. Anybody familiar with Richmond will tell you it is not a rural ‘militia’ environment. Located in the East Bay Area near Oakland, it is a community with reduced circumstances. No one there is going to be proclaiming to be a sovereign citizen.”

And of course this is far from an isolated incident.

Since Barack Obama entered the White House, Obama’s enemies have been identified as “potential terrorists” in official government documents over and over and over. This is something that I documented in a previous article entitled “72 Types Of Americans That Are Considered ‘Potential Terrorists’ In Official Government Documents“. The list below is from that article. If you would like to see the original document for each point, just click on the link. And as you read this list over, ask yourself how many of these characteristics apply to you…

    1. Those that talk about “individual liberties”
    2. Those that advocate for states’ rights
    3. Those that want “to make the world a better place”
    4. “The colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule”

U.S.-led coalition airstrikes targeted the IS group in Sjariyah, Albu-Ghanim and Soufiya, the three villages the extremists captured Wednesday, the officials added. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not allowed to talk to the media.
Anbar's Deputy Gov. Faleh al-Issawi described the situation in Ramadi as "catastrophic" and urged the central government to send reinforcements.
"We urge the Baghdad government to supply us immediately with troops and weapons in order to help us prevent the city from falling into the hands of the IS group," he told the Associated Press in a telephone interview.
Al-Bayan, the Islamic State group's English-language radio station, claimed the fighters were in complete control of at least six areas and most of a seventh to the east of Ramadi since Wednesday, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, a U.S. group that monitors militant websites.
American troops fought some of their bloodiest battles in Anbar during the eight-year U.S. intervention, when Fallujah and Ramadi were strongholds of al-Qaida in Iraq, a precursor to the IS group. Fallujah was the first Iraqi city to fall to the IS group, in January 2014.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who was visiting Washington on Wednesday, made no mention of the events in Ramadi. Instead he spoke optimistically about recruiting Sunni tribal fighters to battle the extremists, saying about 5,000 such fighters in Anbar had signed up and received light weapons.
The IS-run Al-Bayan station also reported that an attempt by Iraqi troops to advance on the Beiji oil refinery in Salahuddin province, about 250 kilometers (115 miles) north of Baghdad, was pushed back and that fighters "positioned themselves in multiple parts of the refinery after taking control of most of it," according to SITE.
Iraqi officials could not immediately be reached for comment on the fighting around Beiji. On Monday, Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said that Iraqi forces, backed by U.S.-led coalition airstrikes, had repelled an IS attack on Beiji over the weekend.
Meanwhile, a senior U.S. military official told The Associated Press that there were no plans to evacuate U.S. troops from the Ain al-Asad air base, about 110 kilometers (68 miles) west of Ramadi — and stressed that the current fighting around Ramadi had no impact on the base. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.
Since January, hundreds of U.S. forces have been training Iraqi troops at the base. An attack on the base by a suicide bomber in February was repelled.

ISIS Calls For Attacks in the U.S. and Europe
    April 18, 2015
    What You Need To Know
Late last week the Islamic State released a new propaganda video (GRAPHIC) entitled 'We Will Burn America" within which threats of another 9/11 style attack are made, and which calls on supporters here in the U.S. homeland to carry out their own attacks.
"America thinks it's safe because of the geographical location. Thus you see it invades the Muslim lands, and it thinks that the army of the Jihad won't reach in their lands. But the dream of the American to have safety became a mirage. Today there is no safety for any American on the globe." The mujahedeen before although they had less resources, attacked New York and bombed the Twin Towers in the September Eleven attacks. America is now losing billions still to make sure their country is safe. But today, it's time for payback."
AlertsUSA again cautions readers that in the days and weeks following previous Islamic State videos calling for faithful Muslims in the West to carry out attacks, such attacks have in fact taken place. The first such call was last September when ISIS released a video within which their spokesman, Abu Mohammad al-Adnani, called for attacks on both soldiers and civilians in Australia, France, Canada and the US. Since that and subsequent videos, the world has seen attacks on soldiers, civilians and government buildings in Canada (see this and this), a hostage siege in a coffee shop in Australia, multiple attacks by Muslims on police here in the U.S. (see this and this) and multiple attacks in and around Paris, France.

So as to reaffirm that these calls for individuals to conduct attacks are still ongoing, this past Friday the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in Topeka, Kansas, arrested one John T. Booker Jr., also known as Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, as he prepared a car bomb for use against the nearby Fort Riley Army post. The FBI states Booker has admitted to attempting to enlist in the U.S. Army so as to be able to carry out an attack similar to the 2009 Fort Hood shooting carried out by U.S. Army Major Nidal Hassan which killed 13 and injured an additional 30. He also has confessed that this effort was intended to directly support the efforts of the Islamic State.

    66th Known Plot Since 9/11
According to the Heritage Foundation, Booker's plot is the 66th known Islamist terrorist plot or attack aimed at the U.S. homeland since 9/11. It is also the third terrorist plot that has been foiled in the past three weeks.

The U.S. Department of Defense continues to warn soldiers in the U.S. and abroad to lower their military profile while in public as well as to observe operational security standards in their use of social media.
As AlertsUSA has warned on more than a dozen occasions over the past year, (see this, this and this) there would come a point in time when U.S. and European Muslims who traveled to Iraq and Syria to train with and fight for the Islamic State would begin returning home, many with the intention of carrying out terror operations.

This week a federal grand jury indicted a 23-year-old Ohio man with three counts of terrorism charges after he allegedly traveled to Syria, trained with al-Nusra Front, al Qaeda's Syrian branch, and then returned home with the intention of launching a terrorist attack.
The Justice Department charges that the man traveled in April 2014 to Syria, where he allegedly received weapons, explosives and hand-to-hand combat training. He is reported to have then returned to the U.S. with orders to carry about terror attacks against military and law enforcement targets.
What Does This Mean to You?
“The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”
    - Winston S. Churchill
While pressures of political correctness demand our elected officials declare that western nations are not at war with Islam, it is important to realize that Islam is, FOR SURE, at war with western nations. The teachings and legacy of the Prophet Muhammad are absolutely clear: Wage war on other religions and bring them under submission to Islam. It is also important to keep in mind that moderate Islam is not what most Muslims believe. It’s what most liberals believe that Muslims believe. There is no moderate Islam taught in mosques or in Mecca.
