Passengers have been evacuated from London Luton Airport after a “suspect package” was found.
The airport said people were sent out of the terminal after the package was found in the “security search area”, at about 14:00 BST.
Bedfordshire Police said the terminal had been evacuated while the package was being examined.
All incoming flights have been suspended and passengers are being advised to contact their airlines.
One user of Twitter, James Blake, said there was initially “chaos” at the airport.
Paul Green said it was a “bit chaotic”.
“One automated alarm telling us to stay where we are,” he posted. “Another telling us to leave.”

But soon after, Jim Hearson said that everyone was calm and the staff were “coping well”.
He said food and drink was being given out to the passengers while they waited for further information.
The approach road to the airport had also been closed, it said.
The airport is about 30 miles (40km) from central London.
