Sweden: Stockholm Reportedly Bows To Russian Demands For NATO Exercise

Sweden has agreed to Russian demands not to land fighter jets in Estonia during the U.S.-initiated military exercises in the Baltic region planned for March, according to a Swedish Foreign Ministry memorandum obtained by Swedish newspaper Expressen, The Local's Swedish edition reported Feb. 16. Sweden and Finland have long debated the possibility of NATO membership but are wary of provoking tensions with Russia.
