Default Texas Game Wardens to Utilize Radiation Detection Equipment

    Hmmm...

Texas Game Wardens to Utilize Radiation Detection Equipment

    March 21, 2016

Texas Game Wardens in the Rio Grande Valley are ready to keep an eye out for radioactive threats.

The Port of Brownsville gets a lot of traffic. It keeps growing and that’s good for business. But it also means police need to keep pace with new threats.

Game wardens along the Coastal Bend are on the lookout for radioactive material. They now have personal devices that detect radiation.

“We’re able to detect anything, depending on how strong the source is, out to several hundred yards,” Capt. James Dunks, with Texas Parks and Wildlife, said.

Previously U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were known as the ones with that kind of equipment.

“We spend a lot of time on the water. We’re the primary law enforcement agency on the water for the state of Texas,” Dunks said.

Game wardens patrol the Rio Grande, as well as the Brownsville Port of Entry. The port is close to homes and workplaces.

The restaurant La Familia is hundreds of feet from the channel. Cynthia Escamilla, a waitress at the La Familia, said she’s seeing more boats in the channel this season.

The port is growing and that means more cargo.

Escamilla said better technology would make her feel safer. She said the port could be a target.

“With these devices, any of these ships coming in from foreign countries … We will be able to detect if there’s any type of material on that vessel that we need to take interest in,” Dunks said.

The planned arrival of liquefied natural gas facilities and SpaceX in the Brownsville area means more targets.

“That’s the last type of thing that we want to encounter,” Dunks said.

The device in the hands of every game warden means a better chance of detecting something dangerous.

Parks and Wildlife officials said they’ve received the small personal radiation detectors. They’re also getting larger ones with bigger ranges on their boats. Those will patrol the waters.

CBP officers who use the devices are trained to distinguish a threat from something every day. They said some materials on roadways can set off a radiation alarm; even someone who’s gone through radiation therapy can trigger the device.

ALERT: Nuclear Officer Found Dead, Pass Stolen – This Could Get BAD

    28 Mar, 2016

    by Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

This weekend, Belgium was on high alert around their nuclear plants after a security guard was shot multiple times and murdered in his home. He was found in his bathroom and his security pass was stolen. Authorities in Brussels are now trying to deny this was connected to terrorism and they claim his pass was not stolen. That has the definite feel of bull crap to me. The story keeps changing.

First they said it was kept quiet while they tried to track down the killers. Now they are denying any connection to terrorism at all. Earlier Thursday, it was reported that the Brussels suicide bombers Khalid and Ibrahim El Bakraoui were planning attacks on Belgian nuclear power stations and that the arrest of Paris attacker Salah Abdeslam had accelerated the plans of the terrorists.

Operatives have been spotted at nuclear power plants there and they are on heightened alert. Two month ago, two high-level personnel of those plants left and joined ISIS. Do the math.

    From Western Journalism:

As a British expert called the ability of terrorists to grab nuclear material ” a new and emerging threat,” Belgium was on alert Saturday for nuclear-related terrorist actions.

A security guard who worked at a Belgian nuclear plant was shot dead and his security pass was also stolen, the French language Derniere Heure (DH) newspaper reported.

The newspaper, which reported the terrorists who attacked Brussels this week had been lining up a nuclear power plant as a potential target, said the pass was deactivated.

They say the pass was deactivated, but that doesn’t mean much at this point. Europe has a real problem…

terrorists have infiltrated targets such as nuclear plants and sooner or later they are going to attack them. It’s not if, but when. The two brothers who died in the Brussels attacks reportedly planted a hidden camera in front of the home of the director of the Belgian nuclear research program.

The footage with “dozens of hours” of the movements of Belgium’s nuclear boss was seized during an anti-terrorist raid in the apartment of another suspect belonging to the same terror cell, Mohammed Bakkali. Immediately following the deadly Brussels attacks, personnel from Belgium’s two nuclear power stations in Doel and in Tihange were promptly evacuated.

There is no excuse for authorities to keep people in the dark over this when millions of lives hang in the balance here. Imagine if multiple nuclear power plants were blown up or even taken off line… the death toll would be staggering. Or what if they took material for dirty bombs… a whole bunch of them. I think it is too late for Europe.

But America better buckle up, because we’re next.

A residence located on the street was named by the Belgian prosecutors office on Wednesday as a safe house for the plotters of the Paris attacks. The residence was rented in Sept. 2015 under a false identity and was searched by police in Dec. 2015.

Inside the residence the investigators found mattresses and fingerprints of attackers Bilal Hadfi and Abdelhamid Abaaoud. (AP Photo/Virginia Mayo)
