    Default NFL 2015-2016 Season

I totally forgot about it but tonight was the Bengals first pre-season game!

Looks like they won 23-10 against the Giants.

Figured it's time to start up the annual NFL thread since Brian hadn't!

    GO

Next pre-season game for the Bengals is on Monday night on ESPN! Going up against the Buccaneers. Already got the DVR set to record so I don't miss this one.

Looks like the start of the regular season won't be too tough but won't be a cakewalk. First three games are Raiders, Chargers, Ravens with the opener and third games away games.

My fingers are also crossed for a, hopefully, injury free (or at least low injury) season this year.

Well, the Bengals wrapped up their season opener against the Raiders with a 33-13 win. Should have been a shutout but the Bengals slacked off in the 4th.

Even though it was a lopsided win, the Bengals looked like they were firing on all cylinders and working well together. There were a couple dropped passes but that was really it. Great performance by Green and Eifert and kudos to Dalton for some consistent passing to them.

Hoping they can keep that synergy going on the much tougher teams later in the season.

Wow, good game today versus the Chargers! A solid match up!

Defense did a great job, especially nailing the QB sacks.

Andy's still having problems making the long game happen...

Very solid day for the Bengals and the Ravens lost to the Raiders which makes that win look a little better. Smart move by Marvin to bench Hill after the fumble. Dalton and the gang did great. Like say though terribly long season.

Yeah, I saw the news about the Ravens' loss to Oakland!

Crazy to see the Ravens at the bottom of the division standings below the Brownies even! Wonder what that portends for the game against them coming up next Sunday.

A weak Ravens team this year is a good thing for the Bengals for sure.

I ended up missing a good bit of the first half due to technical difficulties with my home theater PC I've been dealing with but got them ironed out and was able to catch the 2nd half.

What a slug fest it was between the two teams!

Some really great plays made by the Bengals' offense but some missed opportunities as well.

A 3-0 start to the season! I'm loving it!

First time for an 0-3 start for Baltimore too.

A 4-0 start to the season! First time in 10 years.

A decent showing by the Bengals today. Started off well, slacked off, then turned on the gas to hammer the final nails in.

Next week is going to be very interesting against Seattle though! Will be one to watch for sure.

Bengals doing a smashing job of keeping the Cardiac Cats nickname alive and well!

Looked strong opening, started making missteps to give up 17, and then a strong 17 point comeback to tie and then win in OT with a nail-biting FG.

I do think they could have improved on the time management near the end of the game. They should have had more time to score and instead really seemed to waste it. Should have had more No Huddle going on.

That said a 5-0 record is a 5-0 record! First time since they 1988 when they went to the Super Bowl!

    6-0

I honestly never thought I'd see a Bengals record like that in my lifetime.

They looked a little shaky starting out letting the Bills draw first blood but then they put it in gear and did work with only a minor stumble or two throughout.

Getting their bye week next week and then coming back to take on the Steelers.

I was cheering them on the last time they went 6-0 in 88. They also went 6-0 in 75 but I was not even one year old.

    Hey, I resemble that remark!

You've got to do something on Sunday so what better than an excuse to eat copious amounts of flame cooked meat and consume an equal amount of beer?

Denver at 7-0? What the hell is going on here? World's gone all sideways.

    LMFAO! I know!

First time the Bengals have been 7-0 in their entire franchise history.

Yesterday's game looked very shaky at first.

Neither offense nor defense looked all that good, though defense did a good job keeping the Steeler's score to a minimum. Got held to a couple field goals.

Then all of the sudden in the 4th they put in gear, scored a TD, and made a couple good plays to pull it out.

    Awesome!

Unreal! 8-0 after a win over the Browns tonight!

To be honest, the game was a bit of a snoozer during the first half but they came out in the 2nd and made it more interesting. I think they were being a bit complacent at first.

Great job by Tyler Eifert with 3 TDs in the game! He's really turned into a great investment by the team.

I do like the new Salute To Service team gear. Thinking about getting a hoodie and hat but I have so many jackets already, I just don't know that it'd be worth spending $80 to get one when it might not get worn more than a couple times a year. Will have to think about it...
