Saw an interview with Hammond after his latest crash. I think it was a lot worse than they revealed. He said repeatedly, he won't be driving dangerous cars any longer. His wife and kids want him alive.

The electric beast caught fire and burned to the ground. And I think he suffered a broken leg among other injuries. Coulda been tragic.

Yeah, I agree. Hammond has lucked out majorly twice. That jet powered dragster was a pretty serious accident as well.

If you saw the premiere episode, at the end, they showed a view from the top of the hill down and from the car up the hill. It didn't look so bad looking down at the car but looking up the hill, that was a serious embankment he went down. The fact he made it out alive is definitely a testament to the engineers and builders at Rimac.
