Haha! Was this your introduction to Clarkson, Hammond, and May?

If so, I'd recommend going back and watching all 21 seasons of Top Gear with them (don't worry, the British seasons were only 10-13 episodes which we seem to be going to here in the US) as well as the specials and the presenters' other works (All 3 have done their own independent works like James May's Toy Stories and James May Drinks To Britain and, Richard Hammond's Crash Course, etc.).

And good news! No, it's not the new Dacia Sandero... All of the previous Top Gear seasons from 2 onward are available on Prime Video right now! You're not missing a lot with Season 1. It wasn't even the trio as we know it. Didn't hit it's stride until May joined the cast in Season 2.


I thought the opening was amazing! Hits you right in the feels, especially when you've been following their journey the whole way and get to see the reunion.



In fact, I'm going to go rewatch it shortly.

I watched it this morning. Very entertaining. I've seen a number of the top gear episodes but I didn't follow it religiously. This seems to be a decent evolution of the series.

Just got back from Beaver Creek and watched the first episode of GT. Really enjoyed the opening. Hothouse Flowers has been one of my favorite bands for decades. Great surprise having them perform for the kickoff. The lads have certainly gotten on in years, as have I.

Curious about the addition of Mike Skinner in the place of the Stig. Seems a bit of a controversial contrast with the "all things British" feeling of Top Gear. Might be interesting.

I also see GT as an evolution of Top Gear. Very much looking forward to episodes to come.

I wasn't too sure about Mike Skinner as I, admittedly, don't know a whole lot about him. I've never really been into NASCAR.

He can definitely drive though:

Totally worth the wait!
