Democrats Force Trump’s Education Nominee To Answer 1,397 Questions In Writing — Obama’s TWO Had 109, Combined

    CHRISTIAN DATOC

    11:15 AM 01/24/2017

Democrats are blocking the confirmation of Donald Trump’s Secretary of Education nominee Betsy Devos by forcing her to answer 837 written, followup questions from her Senate confirmation hearing.

“Mrs. Devos’ Senate opponents are grasping for straws,” Sen. Lamar Alexander said of the decision in a post for Medium. “We didn’t have time to question her, they say, even though she met with each one of them in their offices, and her hearing lasted nearly an hour and a half longer than either of President Obama’s education secretaries.”

Alexander notes that while answering followup questions is customary practice for nominees, the number is astronomically higher than any other nominee in the position’s history.

Case in point, Devos’ 837 followups — 1,397 if you include all the questions within a question — is “25 times as many follow-up questions as Republicans asked of either of President Obama’s education secretaries.”

Arne Duncan, Obama’s first Secretary of Education, was forced to answer 53 written, follow-up questions.
Do You Think Democrats Are Too Tough On Betsy DeVos?
Obama’s second, John King Jr., answered 56.“Even though they disagree with her, Democrats should also promptly confirm Betsy DeVos,” Alexander wrote.

“Few Americans have done as much to help low-income students have a choice of better schools.”

“She is on the side of our children. Her critics may resent that, but this says more about them than it does about her.”

Democrats introduce bill to take nuclear football out of Trump's hands

    By Edmund DeMarche

    Published January 25, 2017

    FoxNews.com

Two Democratic lawmakers introduced legislation Tuesday that would prevent President Trump from launching a nuclear weapon without a obtaining a congressional declaration of war.

Foreign Policy reported that the bill was introduced by Sen. Edward Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif. The article notes that Lieu has a paper sign outside his office that reads, “Alternative Fact Free Zone.”

Under current law, the U.S. president can order a first-use nuclear strike even if the U.S. is not under nuclear attack.

Trump was asked by ABC News Wednesday about the responsibility of receiving the nuclear codes and responded that it was a “very sobering moment." “It’s very, very, very, scary in a sense.”

During the campaign, Hillary Clinton made it a point hit Trump on his temperament and what she called his erratic use of Twitter. She said, “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.”

Markey said in a statement that nuclear war is the “gravest risk to human survival," and he is concerned that Trump suggested in the past that he would consider a launch against terrorists.

Markey was likely referring to Trump's comments in March, when he was asked a hypothetical question about an ISIS strike and responded, “I would never take any of my cards off the table.”

Trump was also criticized during the campaign when he said, “Let it be an arms race” with Russia.

The bill has gained support from various global disarmament groups and former-Secretary of Defense William Perry, who served under President Clinton.

In August, The New York Times wrote extensively on the president's responsiblity with nuclear codes. The report said that it is up to the president to decide whether a nuclear attack on the U.S. was real, and, in turn, could have only minutes to decide if it warranted a nuclear response. The sitting president could launch as many as 925 warheads—about the equivalent of 17,000 Hiroshima bombs.

“There’s no veto once the president has ordered a strike,” Franklin C. Miller, a nuclear specialist who held White House and Defense Department posts for 31 years, told The Times. “The president and only the president has the authority to order the use of nuclear weapons.”

The New York Times report said a spokesman for the National Security Council refused to say if there is anyone in the chain of command who could overrule a president’s order.

The Independent newspaper reported that, in the event of a U.S. nuclear strike, Trump would essentially be giving his Secretary of Defense the authority to authorize the launch. If his secretary refuses, he could be fired and the president would turn to the second-in-command.

“Between the time he (the president) authorizes one and the time it’s carried out, there are other people involved.”

Democratic congressman: President Trump is 'mentally unstable'

    By Chris Massie, CNN
Updated 1:06 PM ET, Sat January 28, 2017

    Story highlights

    • "I do believe the president is mentally unstable," Gallego said.
    • This man is not normal. He is not acting normal," he added.

(CNN) Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego said Friday that he thinks President Donald Trump is "mentally unstable."

"Yes, I do believe the president is mentally unstable," Gallego, a Democrat, said on KTAR News 92.3 FM's Mac & Gaydos. "I've said this thousands of times."

Gallego made similar comments on CNN in August when Trump was the Republican nominee, arguing at the time that, "this man is unstable, he's unfit to be a presidential candidate."

Gallego, who was among the members of Congress to boycott Trump's inauguration, said in the interview that he would not work with Trump because the president has not been transparent and because he is "not normal."

"I will not work with President Trump because President Trump has not been clear and transparent with what occurred during this election," Gallego said. "I will not work with him to get an infrastructure bill until he releases his taxes, his disclosure to make sure that he's not starting a kleptocracy. He should not try to stop or impede a investigation into the election interference in this election. There's a lot of things that's wrong with this president. Being Republican by the way is not bad. I think any other Republican would be very much easier to work with. This man is not normal.

He is not acting normal. And there's nothing that he's done at this point for me that he's proven that I should work with him. And I don't think it's gonna change."

In the interview, Gallego also said that he saw the motivation behind building a border wall between Mexico and the United States as a "symbol of racism."

"I see the motivation behind it as a symbol of racism," he said, before going on to say that Trump "wants to scare the white people about the brown people."

"When you're doing it like Donald Trump is, without any forethought, without actually planning, and by the way, no funding, because Mexico somehow is supposed to pay for it, which they're not, you're basically doing it just for pure political reasons and you're stoking up one of the worst segments of the United States in terms of some deep-seated racism towards people that are Latino," the congressman said.

Warren: I’m opposing Trump’s ’dangerous’ Education pick

    BY JORDAIN CARNEY - 01/27/17 02:16 PM EST 253

    © Greg Nash

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Friday said she will vote against President Trump’s nominee for Education secretary, calling Betsy DeVos unqualified for the job.

"It is hard to imagine a less qualified or more dangerous person to be entrusted both with our country's education policy and with a trillion-dollar student loan program," Warren said in a statement. "Congress should reject Mrs. DeVos's nomination."

She added she will "vote against Betsy DeVos's nomination to serve as Secretary of Education because her nomination is not in the best interests of the young people."

Warren verbally sparred with DeVos during her confirmation hearing last week, grilling her on the knowledge of the federal student loan program she’d be in charge of overseeing, as well as what she will do to rein in for-profit colleges.

When Warren pressed DeVos to commit to enforcing a gainful employment rule, DeVos said she would "review" the rule to make it was effective.

Warren on Friday said she believes DeVos wouldn't be "a cop on the beat" or "commit to using the Department's many tools and resources to keep students from getting cheated."

Warren also pointed to DeVos’s positions on K-12 education as problematic.

"Not only are her ideas completely uninformed by experience with public schools, but the evidence is clear that her privatization theories are bad for students," she added.

DeVos has yet to get the support of a single Democrat. She was included on a list of cabinet picks that Democrats considered top targets.

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) said earlier this week that every Democratic senator would vote against DeVos.

DeVos only needs 50 votes to be confirmed, and the GOP has a 52-seat majority in the Senate. So Democrats could only stop her if three Republicans voted against her.

Senate Democrats bash Trump's immigration ban; emotional Schumer vows fierce Hill opposition

    January 29, 2017 FoxNews.com

Senate Democrats on Sunday attacked President Trump’s recently imposed ban on immigration from several mostly-Muslim countries -- calling the order unconstitutional and seizing on some refugees and green card holders being detained this weekend at U.S. airports to fuel their political outrage.

“He has established a target of refugees,” Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, the Senate’s second-ranking Democrat, told “Fox News Sunday.”

Trump on Friday issued an executive order that includes a 120-day suspension of the U.S. refugee program and a 90-day ban on travel to the United States by citizens of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

Durbin spoke after a hectic Saturday at New York’s John. F. Kennedy International Airport and other airports across the country -- where dozens of refugees or people with green cards were detained or stopped for additional vetting.

“They just sprung this on us,” Durbin said about the executive order. “Refugees are the most carefully vetted visitors who come into this country.”

Durbin also thanked a Brooklyn judge (the first of several federal judges across the country) who late Saturday issued emergency orders to temporarily bar the administration from deporting people from the seven countries.

Top White House officials late Saturday and early Sunday rushed to defend the program and pointed out that President Obama identified the seven countries from which immigration has been banned.

“These are countries that have a history of training, harboring, exporting terrorists,” Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, said twice on “Fox News Sunday.”

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that 75 to 80 percent of Americans agree with the policy change, amid terror attacks in the United States and elsewhere around the world in which the perpetrators have been linked to such countries.

“We don't want people that are traveling back and forth to one of these seven countries that harbor terrorists to be traveling freely back and forth between the United States and those countries,” Priebus said.

Hours after Durbin spoke, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, at a press conference, vowed to fight the executive order “with every fiber of my being.

The New York lawmaker also argued that Trump’s order was “unconstitutional” and vowed Senate Democrats would try, in the GOP-controlled Congress, to reverse the order.

“Mr. President, I’m here to tell you that I will fight this,” said Schumer, who sniffled back tears as he stood alongside several children and adult immigrants impacted by the ban.

Trump also faces public opposition from at least a handful of congressional Republicans including Sens. Jeff Flake, of Arizona; Ben Sasse, of Nebraska, and Rob Portman, of Ohio.

"This was an extreme vetting program that wasn't properly vetted," Portman said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

CAIR: We Will Not Allow Trump to Change the ‘Tradition of America’

    by Pam Key30 Jan 2017823

    http://www.breitbart.com/video/2017/...ition-america/

Monday at a press conference announcing a lawsuit filed by the Committee on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) against President Donald Trump’s executive order halting immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries to the United States, organization executive director Nihad Awad they would “not allow Donald Trump to change the tradition of American and the future of this country.”

Awad said, “Donald trump is hurting who we are as Americans. And therefore the way we see this lawsuit is it is really the law versus Donald Trump. It is American traditional values of openness, human dignity and respect versus Donald Trump.”

He added, “We are very proud of you because you are assuring me as a plaintiff, and all Americans that law is the law and due process and equal protection is what makes America great, and not what Donald Trump is doing. So my message to my brothers and sisters in the communities and to fellow Americans — we thank you. We thank you for being who you are. And we assure refugees and people who would like to come to America and respect the law that they will have that equal opportunity and we will not allow Donald Trump to change the tradition of American and the future of this country. Thank you.”

California Democrat to First Lady: ‘Show Us Your Papers!’

    Nancy Skinner (Twitter

    byASSEMBLYMAN TIM DONNELLY30 Jan 2017839

California State Sen. Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) isrenewing a demand to see First Lady Melania Trump’s immigration papers — an issue Democrats first raised during the election campaign.

Skinner expanded on her demand in an interview with Politico this week: “No one in the Trump operation has released any of the documentation to indicate what was the circumstance, or whether she had full legal status. … We only know they had a lawyer look at whatever papers she chose to give.”

In 2010, when Arizona passed a controversial immigration law that allowed state and local law enforcement officers to check the immigration status of anyone stopped for another valid purpose, Democrats — especially in California — objected that it empowered local police to “demand your papers.” That, they said, conjured images of the Nazi Gestapo.

For the past six years, the Los Angeles City Council has boycotted Arizona over the law —even though the implementation has been subject to court battles, and in the end, many of the most controversial clauses were thrown out or abandoned.

Ironically, Democrats continue to refer to Trump in “Nazi” terms.

According to Variety, Actress Lily Tomlin, who was speaking to reporters backstage at the recent Screen Actors Guild awards, compared Donald Trump’s executive orders on immigration to the actions of the Nazis.

You’ve got to change the laws, just like he’s changing, Trump is changing the laws now. He’s trying to change the laws. You know, my mind is going too fast. I wanna think about the fact that, you know, I don’t wanna make this comparison, I’m not making it any way, but the Nazis, they changed the laws if they didn’t agree with them. They just changed them and they could do whatever they wanted.

Tomlin added, “Oh my gosh, I feel like I’m talking to someplace in Germany many decades ago.”

Tim Donnelly is a former California State Assemblyman.

Disgraceful: Nancy Pelosi Claims Democrats are “Doing the Lord’s Work”

By Onan Coca January 31, 2017

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) must have some very screwed up ideas of the kind of work that God wants done on our planet.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe the Senate Minority leader had the audacity to claim that Democrats were “doing the Lord’s work” and Republicans were “dishonoring” God. This is the same Nancy Pelosi whose own church leadership says she should be denied communion for her comments on abortion and whose religious leader has castigated on multiple occasions. She has not right or foundation to dictate to anyone what is and is not “God’s work.”
Nevertheless Pelosi said of Republicans, “They pray in church on Sunday and they prey on people the rest of the week. And while we’re doing the Lord’s work, ministering to the needs of God’s creation, they are ignoring those needs which is to dishonor the God who made them.” Pelosi later added of Democrats that “we don’t wear religion on our sleeve, but maybe we should.”

On their face, Pelosi’s comments are disgusting and untrue. Today’s Democrat Party has abandoned Christianity, and we know this from the times that they’ve voted God’s name off of their party platform and from the times they’ve BOOED God’s name at their National Convention.

Moreover, the Democrat Party now actively supports policies that stand in a diametric opposition to the revelation of God in Scripture. On sexuality, marriage, family, abortion and more, the Democrats oppose the Christian view of life and godliness on countless issues.
In particular, in regard to abortion, Nancy Pelosi and her comrades gleefully embrace the shedding of innocent blood and the sacrifice of our children for the comfort of their parents. This is something that God uses quite strong language to speak against in the Bible.
In Jeremiah 32:35 God calls the practice of child sacrifice an “abomination,” in Ezekiel 20:26 he promises to make anyone practicing such things “desolate,” in Ezekiel 20:31 he tells his people not to “defile” themselves by participating in such a practice… and in Leviticus 20:2-5 God explains that the punishment for killing your innocent child is… death.
    Leviticus 20:2-6
2 “Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 I myself will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, to make my sanctuary unclean and to profane my holy name. 4 And if the people of the land do at all close their eyes to that man when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death, 5 then I will set my face against that man and against his clan and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in whoring after Molech.
6 “If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.
Nancy Pelosi is deluding herself if she believes that the Democrat Party is “doing the Lord’s work.” The Democrat Party is an engine of pure evil on our planet today, and they quite literally embrace the works of evil in their rhetoric and actions.

Sarah Silverman calls for military overthrow of ‘fascist’ Donald Trump

Actress Sarah Silverman called for a military coup against President Trump on Wednesday night in the midst of violent riots in Berkeley, California.

In a screaming all-capital-letters tweet exhorted her almost 10 million followers to “wake up & join the resistance,” a term from World War II that anti-Trump rioters have used to define themselves.

She then outlined her preferred scenario for the violent overthrow of the legitimately elected government, still in all capital letters.

“Once the military is w us fascists get overthrown. Mad king & his handlers go bye bye,” Ms. Silverman posted.

She ended her post with four heart emojis, presumably signifying love.

How the Left plan to fight Trump wherever he goes
    The Washington Post
Perry Stein, David A. Fahrenthold 20 hrs ago

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Saturday evening march began at Trump Plaza, a high-rise apartment building President Trump hasn’t actually owned since 1991.

    Fine.

    It still has the name.

It was a good place to start.

From there, the marchers headed south, walking along the Intracoastal Waterway that separates West Palm Beach from ritzy Palm Beach island. They stopped shortly after 7 p.m. when they reached the bridge across from Mar-a-Lago.

They brought signs and glow sticks to wave, hoping they would be visible across the dark water and the great green lawn of the club from up in the private apartment that is now the “winter White House.”

If Trump sees those green lights, he’ll know that his critics have followed him home.

“He likes to think that everybody loves him. We’re showing him that we don’t,” said Lisa Wright, 53, an IT consultant from Broward County who was marching along the waterway Saturday night.

Joe Raedle/Getty Images In Palm Beach, Fla., Saturday, anti-Trump protesters carry a flag-draped coffin said to symbolize the death of democracy.Around 7:30 p.m., about 200 of the 1,200 marchers made it across the bridge to the back gates of Mar-a-Lago.

Across the street, a few dozen pro-Trump people waved American flags, but the spectacle was the protesters, beating drums, singing and chanting.

This is the reality of Trump’s honeymoon-free presidency.

Having sought to create unprecedented disruption in Washington, his critics will now seek to bring unprecedented disruption to his life as president — including demonstrations that follow him when he travels and protests that will dog his businesses even when he doesn’t.

Already this week, Trump — the most unpopular new president in modern times — canceled a trip to the Harley-Davidson factory in Milwaukee, where local groups had planned to protest his appearance; the White House said the protests were not the reason for the cancellation.

And, around the business empire that Trump still owns, his critics treat each location as an avatar for the president.

Jabin Botsford/The Washington Post Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s Palm Beach, Fla., property, is being targeted by protesters this weekend. There have been small gestures of pique: lipstick graffiti on the sign at Trump’s golf course in Los Angeles; and a plan for a mass mooning of his hotel in Chicago. There have also been more organized efforts to take time and money away from family businesses — a boycott of stores selling Ivanka Trump’s clothes and a campaign to flood Trump businesses with calls demanding that the president divest from his holdings.

For Trump’s opponents, these demonstrations are a way to change his behavior by denting the president’s own self-image as a popular man with a successful business.

The risk, for them, is that protests meant to shame Trump will consume energy that could be used to beat him by winning elections and swaying votes in Congress.

A protest “gets under his skin,” said Michael Skolnik, a filmmaker and prominent liberal organizer in New York who supports this sort of demonstration. He said he hoped that, somehow, getting under the president’s skin might turn out to be a good long-term political strategy.

“What if Trump can’t come out of bed for four days? That could happen,” Skolnik said.

In the later days of his presidency, George W. Bush faced protests outside his Texas ranch from people opposed to the Iraq War. During President Barack Obama’s travels, he sometimes faced demonstrations from liberals pushing him to do more on immigration or the environment.

But neither one faced organized protest movements at the start of their presidency, condemning the president across multiple policy areas. Trump does.

It began the day after his inauguration, when more than 1 million people marched in Women’s Marches in Washington, across the country and around the globe. It continued the next weekend, when thousands of people gathered at airports to protest Trump’s executive order on immigration, which barred refugees and all visitors from seven *Muslim-majority countries.

It continued this past week as the administration was consumed by the chaos that the entry ban set off.

In New York City, for instance, hundreds of bodega markets owned by Yemeni Americans closed Thursday to protest the same ban.

“You know how Yellowstone National Park is built on one of the world’s biggest volcanoes?” said Ben Wikler, the Washington director for MoveOn.org, a liberal activist group. “It feels like that just exploded in terms of grass-roots energy.”

Trump has dismissed these protests — operating on the theory that he doesn’t need these protesters to like him and that their anger might help him by pushing others closer to him. On Twitter, for instance, the president cast the Women’s March as a massive outpouring of sour grapes.

“Was under the impression that we just had an election!” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Why didn’t these people vote?”

On Friday — after a pair of violent protests on college campuses where conservative provocateurs were invited to talk — Trump seemed to lump these small groups of unruly protesters in with the rest of his critics from the other events.

“Professional anarchists, thugs and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” he said, although there is no evidence that any significant number of demonstrators are being paid.

Across the country, other groups have directed their unhappiness toward Trump at his business empire, which he still effectively owns, although Trump says he has shifted the management to his executives and adult sons.

“I am scoping it out right now,” said a woman snapping photos of the sign outside Trump’s golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., near Los Angeles. She gave her name only as “Diane” and said she was scouting the site for a protest.

“People are p----- and feel they can’t do anything, but we want to hit him where it hurts,” she said. “I don’t think he wants people near his businesses. We want to hit him where it hurts most — his money.” On an earlier day, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department took a vandalism report — somebody crossed out “Trump” on the sign with lipstick and wrote a Spanish swear word there.

Others were more organized about their efforts.

One group, Grab Your Wallet, was started in October after The Washington Post obtained a 2005 video of a taping of “Access Hollywood” in which Trump bragged about groping women.

Shannon Coulter, who helps lead the group, said she had a visceral reaction after that when she encountered Ivanka Trump-branded items while shopping. Ivanka Trump had continued to campaign for her father after the tape’s release.

“I kind of had [Trump’s] words ringing in my ears,” she said. She helped launch a boycott campaign, which has grown to include more than 60 companies — including the Trump Organization’s own hotels and golf courses, business that carry Ivanka Trump merchandise and businesses whose leaders supported Trump during the election.

Coulter said her Facebook group has thousands of people connected to it. What they want, she said, is to “shop the stores we love with a clear conscience and without any bad memories.”

Now, three businesses that her group targeted for boycotts have severed or loosened their connections to the Trumps.

Nordstrom said it would stop selling Ivanka Trump merchandise, Nieman Marcus stopped selling her jewelry on its website and the chief executive of Uber, the ride-hailing company, pulled out of Trump’s business advisory council.

Another campaign offers Trump’s critics a more direct — but possibly less productive — way to respond to Trump. It lets them call one of his companies at random and complain to whomever answers the phone.

“Until he divests, these [businesses] are embassies of the White House,” said Scott Goodstein, the co-founder of Creative Majority PAC. He also runs Revolution Messaging, the Washington firm that set up the system.

The system connects callers to one of 30 Trump business phone numbers. It could be a hotel front desk. It could be a restaurant. Goodstein said they encourage callers to “have fun with it.” For instance, if a restaurant employee offers to help make a reservation, one might say: “I have a reservation — that Donald Trump is not taking this job seriously.”

Since this effort started in December, the PAC says it has facilitated 33,000 phone calls and been blocked by 51 Trump Organization phone numbers. He said it’s having the desired effect by squeezing Trump’s business in a way that would squeeze the man himself.

“It’s definitely having an effect on Trump’s businesses,” Goodstein said. “And I’m sure that President Trump will know that this act of dissension is taking place.”

But Alan Garten, chief legal officer for the Trump Organization, said in a telephone interview that the phone calls have not interfered with the business. And even if they did, he said, Trump would not know about it because he has resigned from his management roles.

“There’s a complete separation,” Garten said. “He may read [about] it in the newspaper, that I don’t know.”

Fahrenthold reported from Washington. Sandhya Somashekhar and Wesley Lowery in Washington, Bill Dauber in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and Lori Rozsa in West Palm Beach contributed to this report.

LEFTIST ELITES PROTEST A NEW REVOLUTION

“We deserve to be in in charge.”

    February 6, 2017
    Daniel Greenfield

The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox. It will be brought to you by BMW. The German luxury automaker is a key advertiser at GQ. And GQ is the headquarters of the Resistance. That's a vlog by Keith Olbermann who returned from his exile at an ESPN Elba to denounce Trump.

"I am Keith Olbermann," Keith Olbermann barks to the peasants and workers of GQ who are taking a break from reading an article on '$100 Cologne that Smells Like Nothing', "This is the Resistance."

The Resistance is Remy Martin and Coach. It’s the ‘Best Silver Nail Clippers for Men to Buy Now’ and ‘7 Skincare Treatments Men are Asking for in 2017’. It’s the SAG Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.

It’s the self-important people and the beautiful people rising up against the democratic oppression of the working class and proclaiming courageously in one voice, “We deserve to be in in charge.”

When the revolution isn't at GQ (The Most Radical Dress Socks to Wear Right Now), it's at Vanity Fair where Graydon Carter denounces Trump (Donald Trump: A Pillar of Ignorance and Certitude) with a byline photo of himself taken by Annie Leibovitz smiling smugly from his skyscraper office.

Maybe the resistance is Reed Hastings, the billionaire CEO of Netflix, who used his wealth catering to the tastes of urban elites, to lobby to raise the taxes of the middle class. Hastings whined that President Trump's moves to protect Americans were "so un-American it pains us all.”

Who are these 'us'? It might be Warren Buffett, Google's Eric Schmidt and Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, with whom Hastings had joined to support Hillary Clinton. Or it might be the CEOs of Lyft, Airbnb and Twitter, to name a few, who have jointed the anti-Trump “resistance” of wealthy elites.

It's no coincidence that the most vocal outcries against President Trump's measures have come from urban elites and the corporations that cater to their whims. It's easy to spot the class divides in the scoffing at Andrew Puzder, CEO of the company behind Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, getting a cabinet position instead of Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg who had been tipped for Treasury Secretary by Hillary.

Carl's Jr and its 4 Dollar Real Deal are a world away from Facebook's Gehry designed Menlo Park headquarters. As much as a WWE tournament is from Conde Nast's Manhattan skyscraper.

It's hard to imagine a clearer contrast between coastal elites and the heartland, and between the new economy and the old. On the one side are the glittering cities where workforces of minorities and immigrants do the dirty work behind the slick logos and buzzwords of the new economy. On the other are Rust Belt communities and Southern towns where working people actually used to make things.

Facebook's top tier geniuses enjoy the services of an executive chef, treadmill workstations and a bike repair shop, all walled off from East Palo Alto's Latino population and its crime and gang violence. But who works in Facebook's eleven restaurants or actually repairs the bikes in the back room? Or looks through the millions of pictures posted on its timelines to screen out spam, pornography and violence?

Behind the illusion of a shiny new Facebook future are Mexicans getting paid a few dollars an hour to decide if that Italian Renaissance painting you just shared violates its content guidelines.

If you live in the world of Facebook, Lyft, Netflix and Airbnb, crowding into airports and shouting, "No Borders, No Nations, Stop The Deportations" makes sense. You don't live in a country. You live in one of a number of interchangeable megacities or their bedroom communities. Patriotism is a foreign concept. You have no more attachment to America than you do to Friendster or Myspace. The nation state is an outdated system of social organization that is being replaced by more efficient systems of global governance. The only reasons anyone would cling to nations and borders are ignorance or racism.

The demographic most opposed to President Trump is not a racial minority, but a cultural elite.

This isn't a revolution. The revolutions happened in June and November. Brexit and Trump were revolutions. The protests against them are a reaction by the overthrown establishment.

Somewhere along the way the political projects of the left ceased to be revolutionary. The left won. It took control of nations and set about dismantling them. Its social and economic agendas became law. It ruled through a vast interconnected system of bureaucracy, media, academia, non-profits and corporations. In Europe, democracy nearly vanished. In America, there were still elections, but they didn't matter very much. A Republican president could tinker a little, but he couldn't change things. The left would throw its ritualistic tantrums if he limited abortion funding or invaded Iraq. But around the isolated controversies, everything else would go on moving further to the left.

The left had come to envision its victory as inevitable. Its leaders enjoyed a secular right of kings bestowed on them by historical materialism. And so they couldn't see the revolution coming.

The inevitable elites and their power were overthrown. The little people they had been stepping on stormed the castle. All their pseudoscience polls had failed to predict it. Suddenly the future no longer belonged to the City or to Palo Alto. And its denizens poured out into the streets to protest.

The protests are taking place in the name of oppressed minorities, but like any dot com logo, that's branding. They are actually an angry reaction by an overthrown elite to a people's revolution.

This isn't really about Muslims. The angry protesters know as little about Islam as they do about rural Iowa. But borders and airports are an important metaphor. President Trump said, "A nation without borders is not a nation." And that's exactly what the left wanted. No borders and no nations.

If you make tangible goods or have a mortgage, you are more likely to want borders and a nation. If on the other hand you deal in intangibles, in strings of numbers, in data on global servers, in movies and music, then borders are an unreal abstraction. If you get your rides from Uber, your house from Airbnb, your entertainment from Netflix and your dates from Tinder, if you don't actually own anything, and have no plans for a family or anything more permanent than a virtual existence, who needs a nation?

Nations are ideals grounded in real things. Our elites exist in an unreal world filled with unreal things. Their system is based on using communications technology to organize the world in new ways. They have grown so dazzled by the potential of that organization that they ignore what is underneath.

That metaphor became reality with Brexit and Trump. The country rebelled against the city. People who were in the business of making and doing real things rose up against a virtual economy.

The elites are unable to understand the nationalistic and territorial impulses of either their own citizens or Islamic terrorists. Their strange social-plutocratic fusion of Marxism and technocracy sees it as a problem of sharing the wealth. All the popular uprisings can be put down with a bigger welfare state. Redistribute more of the profits from Facebook to Muslims and Trump voters. Problem solved.

But the problem can't be solved by enlarging the welfare class. It's a gaping cultural chasm.

People need meaning. It is meaning that gives them a sense of worth. The angry leftist reactionaries find meaning in their post-everything world. The shattering of this world has driven them into the streets. And yet they can't grasp that it was the shattering of their world that drove so many working people to vote for Brexit or Trump. They refuse to comprehend that nations have meaning to more people than their post-national world order of interchangeable multicultural megacities does or that most people want something tangible to hold on to, including land and family, even if it requires labor and sacrifice.

It was a war between Davos, Conde Nast, GQ, Soros, MSNBC, Hollywood, Facebook and America. And America won.

The "resistance" is a collection of elites, from actors at award shows to fashion magazines to tech billionaires, decrying a popular revolt against their rule. They are not the resistance. They are dictators in exile. They had their chance to impose their vision on the people. And they lost.

The protests aren’t a revolution. They’re a counterrevolutionary reaction by a fallen establishment.

The revolution will not be brought to you by BMW, by a Davos conference, by $100 cologne that smells like nothing or by Facebook lobbying. It will be brought to you by making America a free nation again.

Senate Votes To Gag Elizabeth Warren After Anti-Sessions Outburst

    by Tyler Durden
    Feb 7, 2017 10:32 PM

Not The Onion. Following a scathing speech against Trump's nominee for Attorney General, Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell said Senator Elizabeth Warren had "impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama," violating the so-called 'Rule 19'. By a vote of 49-43, Senator Warren was then barred from speaking on the floor until Senator Sessions nomination debate is complete (likely tomorrow evening).

Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), who was presiding over the the Senate during the Massachusetts Democrat's speech - who at times was repeating words being said to him by GOP Senate floor staff - initially interrupted Warren to warn her that she was on the brink of violating the rule.

As The Hill reports, the drama on the Senate floor comes after McConnell interrupted Warren's speech accusing her of breaking the upper chamber's guidelines.

“The senator has impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama,” McConnell said from the Senate floor.

“I call the senator to order under the provisions of Rule 19.”

Under the Senate’s “Rule 19,” senators are not allowed to “directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator."

Warren offered a blistering speech against Sessions's nomination, arguing he wouldn’t stand up to Trump’s “campaign of bigotry.”

“He made derogatory and racist comments that should have no place in our justice system,” she said.

“To put Sen. Sessions in charge of the Department of Justice is an insult to African-Americans.”

Warren quoted a 1986 speech from the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) who referred to Sessions as a “throwback to a shameful era” and a “disgrace” to the Justice Department.

McConnell defended the decision, noting Warren had been warned.

"Sen. Warren was giving a lengthy speech. She had appeared to violate the rule. She was warned. She was given an explanation," he said after the vote. "Nevertheless, she persisted."

McConnell also specifically pointed to Warren quoting a letter from the late Coretta Scott King, civil rights activist and wife of Martin Luther King Jr., as evidence that she had broken the rules.Coretta Scott King wrote in 1986, during Sessions's failed confirmation hearing for a federal judgeship, that he “had used the awesome power of his office to chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens" as a U.S. attorney in Alabama. When Warren said she was "surprised" by McConnell's actions and asked to continue, the Republican objected and was backed up by Daines, effectively ending Warren's speech.

Warren rejected McConnell's move, tweeting to her millions of followers that

"I will not be silent while the Republicans rubber stamp an AG who will never stand up to the @POTUS when he breaks the law."

Of course, Democrats did what they do best in response - unleashed a social media frenzy of hurt fellings capped by the hashtag #LetLizSpeak.

But Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) - the Senate's top Democrat - had the last word... "If the average American heard someone read a letter from Coretta Scott King ... they would not be offended, It seems to me that we could use Rule 19 almost every day on the floor of the Senate. This is selective enforcement."

Maxine Waters Calls For Impeachment If Trump Campaign Colluded With Russia

    14009

    by Pam Key16 Jan 20171,155

Monday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said if President-elect Donald Trump or staff on his campaign had “collusion” or “exchanges of information,” with Russian government officials about former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, that would justify impeachment.

    Partial transcript as follows:

WATERS: When John talked about him being ill legitimate, he talked about the fact about whether or not the Russians did play a role in determining what happened in our elections and also I think John was talking about there are going to be more investigations to determine whether or not Trump or his advocates — people associated with him on his staff on the campaign, whether or not there was some collusion, exchanges of information, and whether of not they were strategizing together and I think that’s what he was trying to describe. Other people are trying to talk about this democracy and whether or not once you question whether someone’s legitimate that you are questioning whether or not the democracy works. People, you know, don’t want it to be that you’re deciding that somehow the electoral system doesn’t work, the democracy doesn’t work, et cetera. He’s talking about this unusual occurrence where in fact we know that the Russians played an important role and they tried to support Mr. Trump and they tried to make sure that Hillary Clinton didn’t get elected. So I think that’s a legitimate discussion.

MATTHEWS: Let’s talk about where that leads to. You raised a good point. If we find out that somebody on behalf of Donald Trump was on the phone or email relations with somebody in Russia or the ambassador from Russia and there was some sort of, as you call it, collusion, then what? Does that make Trump subject to impeachment? What do you mean by the term if there’s connection, collusion — your term.

    Watch (Part 2):

WATERS: Here’s what I’m trying to get to—if we discover that Donald Trump or advocates played a role in helping to devise strategy, if they are the ones came up with crooked Hillary, if they are the ones that came up with she’s ill or there is something wrong with her energy and the way he basically described her in the campaign, I think that is something that would put the question squarely on the table whether or not he should be impeached.

MATTHEWS: So you think you could have impeachable offense before you take office, in other words?

WATERS: I think that at the point that investigation discovered and can confirm and document any of that — that that they had a role in helping to strategize, they had a role in attempting to determine the outcome in many ways that they used the information that they got from the DNC when they hacked into our email, et cetera — If that was used against Hillary Clinton in someway, yes, I think that’s impeachable.

"He Will Die In Jail" - Intelligence Community Ready To "Go Nuclear" On Trump

by Tyler Durden Feb 15, 2017 8:15 PM

After nearly two full days of media hysteria following the forced resignation of General Michael Flynn as National Security Advisor, a resignation which the Trump administration attributed to a 'trust issue' rather than any concerns over the legality of his actions, Trump took to twitter to ask why no one within the media seemed to care about the mass leaks being "illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy" before describing the actions as "very un-American."

The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 14, 2017

Information is being illegally given to the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost by the intelligence community (NSA and FBI?).Just like Russia
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017

The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy. Very un-American!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017

And earlier today at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump again called out the intelligence community saying they continue to commit "criminal acts" in leaking intelligence reports.
"Papers are being leaked, things are being leaked. It's a criminal action, criminal act. People are trying to cover up for a terrible loss that the Democrats had under Hillary Clinton."

"I think it's very unfair what's happened with General Flynn and the documents and papers that were illegally leaked."
Here's @POTUS comments on Flynn being treated "unfairly" and allegedly being targeted by Democrats: pic.twitter.com/tUJVJkcqrX
    — Tom Namako (@TomNamako) February 15, 2017

As it turns out, at least according to former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler, the folks within the intelligence community aren't taking too kindly to being called out by the President for their "criminal acts" or to being referred to as "very un-American." By way of reminder, this is the same John Schindler who ended his relationship with the Naval War College after he was caught in a sexting scandal...
it was not Schindler’s unhinged comments that brought him to official disgrace. It was, ironically, his inappropriate use of communications technology.

The former employee of the premiere signal intelligence agency of the world stupidly decided to send a picture of his penis to a person he met on the internet. The picture, along with a corresponding email where Schindler said he was not in a traditional marriage, were made public by Twitter user @Currahee88. According to @Currahee88 the information was released to shame Schindler though Schindler initially speculated he may be the victim of an intelligence operation.

Schindler was subsequently put on leave from the Naval War College pending a review. The review was completed with the result reportedly told to Schindler in late July that he was out at the Naval War College. He was apparently given the option of resigning rather than being fired, which he took.
But we digress. In a series of tweets posted earlier today, Schindler relayed the very blunt thoughts of a "senior intelligence community friend":

    "Now we go nuclear.
IC war going to new levels. Just got an EM fm senior IC friend, it began: "He will die in jail."

US intelligence is not the problem here.

The President's collusion with Russian intelligence is.

Many details, but the essence is simple.

    — John Schindler (@20committee) February 15, 2017

Now we go nuclear. IC war going to new levels. Just got an EM fm senior IC friend, it began: "He will die in jail."https://t.co/e6FxCclVqT
    — John Schindler (@20committee) February 15, 2017

So when efforts to spin a Russian hacking narrative fail to sway an electorate in the desired direction of the intelligence community, we guess treason is the logical next step?

'Wake Up!': Kucinich Says Intel Community Making 'Unprecedented' Effort to Upend Trump

    Feb 14, 2017 // 11:56am

Former U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) was a guest Tuesday on "Mornings with Maria" discussing how the intelligence community is seeming to upend President Donald Trump in the wake of Michael Flynn's resignation as national security adviser.

The former Democratic presidential candidate and Fox News contributor said the bigger issue here is that the phone conversations between Flynn and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were intercepted and leaked to the media.

"The American people have to know that there's a game going on inside the intelligence community where there are those who want to separate the U.S. from Russia in a way that would reignite the Cold War," Kucinich said. "That's what's at the bottom of all this. It's early in the morning, it's Valentine's Day, but wake up America!"

He said he believes money is a factor for those looking to cash in on any conflict between the U.S. and Russia.

"What's going on in the intelligence community with this president is unprecedented," he said. "They're making every effort to upend him. Who knows what the truth is anymore?"

Kucinich said Trump must get a hold of the intelligence community because he believes there is "definitely something going on" to undermine the president.

Later in the day, two U.S. officials told Fox News that a Russian spy ship was spotted patrolling off the East Coast of Delaware, the first such patrol since Trump took office.

Watch the full interview with Kucinich above, and tell us your thoughts in the comments section.

Spies Keep Intelligence From Donald Trump on Leak Concerns

Decision to withhold information underscores deep mistrust between intelligence community and president

    Updated Feb. 15, 2017 11:45 p.m. ET 1210 COMMENTS

U.S. intelligence officials have withheld sensitive intelligence from President Donald Trump because they are concerned it could be leaked or compromised, according to current and former officials familiar with the matter.
The officials’ decision to keep information from Mr. Trump underscores the deep mistrust that has developed between the intelligence community and the president over his team’s contacts with the Russian government, as well as the enmity he has shown toward U.S. spy agencies. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump accused the agencies of leaking information to undermine him.

In some of these cases of withheld information, officials have decided not to show Mr. Trump the sources and methods that the intelligence agencies use to collect information, the current and former officials said. Those sources and methods could include, for instance, the means that an agency uses to spy on a foreign government.
A White House official said: “There is nothing that leads us to believe that this is an accurate account of what is actually happening.”

A spokesman for the Office of Director of National Intelligence said: “Any suggestion that the U.S. intelligence community is withholding information and not providing the best possible intelligence to the president and his national security team is not true.”
Intelligence officials have in the past not told a president or members of Congress about the ins and outs of how they ply their trade. At times, they have decided that secrecy is essential for protecting a source, and that all a president needs to know is what that source revealed and what the intelligence community thinks is important about it.

But in these previous cases in which information was withheld, the decision wasn’t motivated by a concern about a president’s trustworthiness or discretion, the current and former officials said.
It wasn’t clear Wednesday how many times officials have held back information from Mr. Trump.

The officials emphasized that they know of no instance in which crucial information about security threats or potential plotting has been omitted. Still, the misgivings that have emerged among intelligence officials point to the fissures spreading between the White House and the U.S. spy agencies.
Mr. Trump, a Republican, asked Monday night for the resignation of Mike Flynn, his national security adviser, after the White House said the president lost trust in him, in part, because he misstated the nature of his conversations with the Russian ambassador.
On Wednesday, Mr. Trump castigated the intelligence agencies and the news media, blaming them for Mr. Flynn’s downfall.
“The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by ‘intelligence’ like candy. Very un-American!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

Mr. Trump doesn’t immerse himself in intelligence information, and it isn’t clear that he has expressed a desire to know sources and methods. The intelligence agencies have been told to dramatically pare down the president’s daily intelligence briefing, both the number of topics and how much information is described under each topic, an official said. Compared with his immediate predecessors, Mr. Trump so far has chosen to rely less on the daily briefing than they did.
The current and former officials said the decision to avoid revealing sources and methods with Mr. Trump stems in large part from the president’s repeated expressions of admiration for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his call during the presidential campaign for Russia to continue hacking the emails of his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Russia stole and leaked emails from Mrs. Clinton’s campaign to undermine the election process and try to boost Mr. Trump’s chances of winning, an allegation denied by Russian officials.
Several of Mr. Trump’s current and former advisers are under investigation for the nature of their ties to Moscow, according to people familiar with the matter. After Mr. Flynn’s dismissal, lawmakers have called on the government to release the transcripts of his conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and to disclose whether Mr. Trump was aware of or directed Mr. Flynn’s conversations.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D., Calif.), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said he has heard concerns from officials about sharing especially sensitive information with Mr. Trump.
“I’ve talked with people in the intelligence community that do have concerns about the White House, about the president, and I think those concerns take a number of forms,” Mr. Schiff said, without confirming any specific incidents. “What the intelligence community considers their most sacred obligation is to protect the very best intelligence and to protect the people that are producing it.”
“I’m sure there are people in the community who feel they don’t know where he’s coming from on Russia,” Mr. Schiff said.

Tensions between the spy agencies and Mr. Trump were pronounced even before he took office, after he publicly accused the Central Intelligence Agency and others of leaking information about alleged Russian hacking operations to undermine the legitimacy of his election win. In a meandering speech in front of a revered CIA memorial the day after his inauguration, Mr. Trump boasted about the size of his inaugural crowd and accused the media of inventing a conflict between him and the agencies.
In a news conference on Wednesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, Mr. Trump again lashed out at the media and intelligence officials, whom he accused of “criminal” leaks about Mr. Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador last December.
Mr. Trump didn’t explain Wednesday why he asked for Mr. Flynn’s resignation. Instead, he suggested the leaks and the media were to blame for his ouster.
“General Flynn is a wonderful man. I think he’s been treated very, very unfairly by the media,” Mr. Trump said. “And I think it’s really a sad thing that he was treated so badly.”

“I think in addition to that from intelligence, papers are being leaked, things are being leaked,” Mr. Trump said. “It’s criminal action. It’s a criminal act and it’s been going on for a long time before me but now it’s really going on.”
Reviving his line of criticism against intelligence officials during the transition, Mr. Trump said the “illegally leaked” information was from people with political motivations. “People are trying to cover up for a terrible loss that the Democrats had under Hillary Clinton,” Mr. Trump said.

A person close to Mr. Trump said he was reluctant to let go of Mr. Flynn because Mr. Flynn had vigorously supported him at a stage of his presidential campaign when few people did. Mr. Trump also felt Mr. Flynn did nothing wrong in his conversations with the U.S. ambassador to Russia and had good intentions.
“They both continue to support each other,” this person said.
For intelligence veterans, who had hoped that Mr. Trump’s feud with the agencies might have subsided, Wednesday’s comments renewed and deepened concerns.
“This is not about who won the election. This is about concerns about institutional integrity,” said Mark Lowenthal, a former senior intelligence official.
“It’s probably unprecedented to have this difficult a relationship between a president and the intelligence agencies,” Mr. Lowenthal said. “I can’t recall ever seeing this level of friction. And it’s just not good for the country.”

Several congressional probes are examining Russia’s alleged meddling in the election. On Wednesday, the Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee requested a Justice Department briefing and documents related to Mr. Flynn’s resignation, including details of his communications with Russian officials.

Priebus Exposed As Leaker, Responsible For Feeding Media During The Events Of Yesterday

Posted by Sam Di Gangi | Feb 15, 2017 | Breaking News, Top Article

GOP leader Reince Priebus has been a thorn in Trump’s side and the new media that supported him since day one. Now it seems that his days be numbered in terms of his post with the White House.

When Trump was gaining support on the way to his White House win over Crooked Hilary, Reince Priebus was not a help, but a detriment. He was hellbent on stopping independent media, which loved Trump, from getting any access whatsoever to the GOP Convention in Cleveland (authors note; it happened to me personally) even though it was the independent media that was exposing the lies of the fake mainstream media outlets like CNN and ABC.

eince Priebus inside the White House.

Priebus only grudgingly got onboard the Trump train because to not do so would have caused a terrible loss for the GOP, even though some diehards, like the traitorous war criminal George W. Bush, did not support Trump still. When Trump appointed Priebus to White House Chief of Staff, many loyal to Trump were seeing that the swamp was draining but that the gas was still present. Now that Priebus has been found to have been the head of the snake that lead to Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s downfall, that awful smell may be departing since it is rumored that he is next on the Trump chopping block.

Priebus has been as disloyal to Trump as he was towards the voting block and new media that rose to elect him. Sure, it was Flynn that chose to lie and put his own head in the noose by discussing Obama era sanctions with others and then denying it, but it was Priebus that has done everything in his power to undermine everyone affiliated with Trump.

Trump chose Rex Tillerson (pictured) to have final say over the choices of United States Ambassador, a fact that Priebus knew, but ignored.

There are signs galore that Priebus is also eying the elimination of Steve Miller, Steve Bannon, and Kellyanne Conway in an effort to turn Trumps administration away from the swamp drainers and towards the kind of watered down and useless Republicanism that has caused most of America to detest them.
******** have uncovered that it was Priebus himself who fed what they call “red meat” to the mainstream media that he supported over the smaller and more factual news outlets during the campaign, just like it was/is Priebus who said that Trump was “isolated, a clueless child” who was “wandering about in a bathrobe” of which he does not even possess, and who’s White House is in “disarray.” Priebus conned his way into his post by portraying himself as a man who could make Trump’s ideas a reality in a divided Congress, but that seems to have been simply words used to trap Trump in a grip of betrayal.

Priebus is so ill-fitted for his job that he thinks that a man that Trump had to sue should be chosen to work with the president that sued him!

The agency chiefs and staff members that Priebus has chosen have been most of the people that America voted against when they sent Jeb Bush, Paul Ryan, “Little” Marco Rubio, and even Chris “toll bridge” Christie off from the debate stage. The people that he is choosing to help Trump meet his goals are puppets who’s loyalty lies firmly with Obama, Clinton, and those that have made America the exact opposite of “great.”

Beyond that, Priebus trampled a promise that Trump made Rex Tillerson which said that it was he who had the final word regarding the top ten ambassador nominations that were to come up, not Priebus. Instead of honoring this, Priebus gave the list to the president without even consulting Tillerson, a move that saw 15 choices given to Trump based on what they gave to Trump in donations, something that Trump did not know that Tillerson had not vetted. In other words, just like he silenced pro-Trump voices at the RNC, Priebus tried to silence due protocol within the Trump administration and keep “pay for play” alive and well in the casino of the swamp.

This is displayed beyond all argument by the fact that Priebus has promised Buchan that he would be the Ambassador to Spain even though Tillerson was livid that he never got his promised say in how things needed to be executed, as promised by Trump prior. Before anyone suggests that Tillerson is some kind of control freak, according to ********, Buchan is a ” failed hedge fund manager and serial tax evader who owned a company that was part of a lending syndicate Trump sued.” Not only was it rude of Priebus to suggest Buchan, but it was what Trump would likely call, “stupid.”

The same kinds of “pay for play” politics that got Clinton mocked and which Trump is opposed to was the kind of donor lift gift jobs that Priebus wants to see in Trump’s administration.

The corruptions (found in the above-sourced article) outlined in 14 full paragraphs shows Buchan and his ties to Hunter Global Investors Offshore Fund Ltd which was ” was put into “voluntary liquidation”, issues with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the legally questionable Newcastle Investment Corp, and even The George and Sarah Buchan Foundation which seems to be almost as crooked as the Clinton Foundation in many ways.

From there the facts only get more strange and untrustworthy and when completed, it shows that for Priebus to suggest such a terribly mismatched and dishonest person to be in an administration that is aiming for the utmost in honesty works to define why Priebus must be shown the door.

What America is seeing right now is not the failing of the new and still blossoming Trump administration, but more of a ringside seat to how good politicians get broken down from within their own ranks. The problem is not that Trump is choosing awful people, but rather that there are not enough good, moral people in Washington with any experience who can be trusted to not be part of what has ruined the United States of America to begin with. Not many people have the experience that Priebus has, but with the level of corruption and filth that come with him, he is just not going to work for Mr. Trump moving forward.

Priebus is one of the reasons the Green Card confusion was a glaring error in Trump’s travel ban.

So as the swamp drains and the nations sighs a huge sigh of relief, let us not forget that we need to remain ever on guard against the RINO’s, neocons, and pay for play specialists who are hoping to get close to Trump since they assume that he does not know any better. The world is quickly discovering that Donald Trump means to keep his word and those that get in the way of such promise keeping will be given the Flynn treatment. In the case of Priebus, it can not happen soon enough.
