Russian Soldiers To Be Trained In China
SOCHI, September 8 (RIA Novosti) - Russian servicemen will be sent to China for training, the Russian defense minister said Thursday.

"The Defense Ministry plans not only to provide training for Chinese servicemen but also to send our officers to China," Sergei Ivanov said after a session of the Russian-Chinese military cooperation commission.

He said Russia needed military experts who could speak Chinese. More than 500 military students from China study at Russian military universities, Ivanov said.

"No other country has so many Chinese students from the military," he said. According to Ivanov, military training is no less essential for military cooperation than weapons supplies.
