Pre-school children were asked the following question

"In which direction is the bus pictured below traveling?"

Look carefully at the picture.

Do you know the answer?

The only possible answers are "left" or "right."

Okay, I'll tell you.


The pre-schoolers all answered "left."

When asked, "Why do you think the bus is traveling in the left direction?" they answered:


"Because you can't see the door."


Feel pretty silly now, don't you?

Here's another one I found going through some old e-mails I thought you would like to read.

When asked this riddle, 80% of kindergarten kids got the answer, compared to 17% of Stanford University seniors.

What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich need it, And if you eat it, you'll die?

I know the answer, do you?

Its nothing. Nothing is greater than God, nothing is more evil than the devil. The poor have nothing, the rich need nothing. And if you eat nothing, you're definitely going to die.
