Beijing To Host 2nd Round Of Russia-China Security Talks
BEIJING, October 18 (Itar-Tass) - Senior Russian and Chinese officials will meet in Beijing on October 19-21 for a second round of strategic security talks, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said on Tuesday.

Russian Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov will represent Russia at the talks.

The first round was held in Moscow last February. China was represented by Chinese State Council member Tang Jiaxuan.

The parties discussed security cooperation and the struggle against new threats and challenges, interaction on the international scene, mainly within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
