Site Not Available

I'm not sure if my DNS server is having issues or what, but maybe half the time I try to access the site it doesn't load at all. Seems to be like every other day or something.

I'll try to get more information next time it happens to add more detail to this thread.

Hmm, I got a Server not found error when trying to post this, refreshing the page posted it though.

We've changed some DNS info and I suspect that what you are seeing is simply the DNS info propagating to the ISPs.

This morning is the first time in two weeks, to the day, I've been able to access the site, thought I had been banned! Nice to see it back up.

It was I believe a DNS issue, and had nothing to do with your own ISPs. I have been pestering Olav to check it for days and apparently he and Ryan changed some DNS settings or something. I had same problems from home as well. So, I doubt that Sean, me and Jag all were doing something wrong.

I COULD access the site SOMETIMES from home, but rarely.

Finally got the site to load today! Hopefully everything is all fixed.

I started with some probs 2 days ago, and they've steadily gotten worse.

I keep getting the "Site not avail" message.

I thought they were as well. Olav had made some changes and I figured it might take a couple days for the DNS info to propagate to the ISPs servers. But, it looks like there are still problems cropping up. I've had it happen a few more times myself.

totally weird. My site is on the same set of IPs... dunno why mine works and this doesnt.

Lately TAA seems to give me 'not found' on first try. I reload and it will appear. There was one thing odd today though. I hit reload and it appeared without the top button bar. I hit reload again and it appeared.

One other issue I am having.

I cannot currently send a "quick reply". I have to go advanced to make it work.

What you said echos what I have occasionally experienced (excluding the top bar part).

Not sure what would be causing the problem with the Quick Reply. Try clearing your cache to see if that will help.

The site just loaded great for me. My cache is set by default to clear when closing so its never really full anyway, so that really can't be it so much. Trying quick reply now.

Olav sent some notes yesterday about changing the DNS information again, and he knew it was for sure now. He was able to SSH into my machine at my house and go out from there for traceroutes and other things. So, once he saw what I could see the lights came on I guess.

Is Olav on the staff functions here?

And no Rick, Olav is only registered as a regular user since he's never expressed, to me, an interest in being on TAA staff.
