Right off the get-go I am going to suggest a type of "Mission Statement" be drawn up by the owner, Ryan Ruck, to explain to those who come here what this forum is about and his ideas of its function or purposes.
The "Mission Statement" should be pinned to the top of the forums list. Perhaps also it might include a suggested reading list on this and related topic, the other names which define the Trans Asian Axis (ie: "Shanghai Pact, Security and Cooperation Organization, or as I am fond of calling them "The Kings of the East" as well as the nation states which belong).

A "mission statement" is a great idea!
I was thinking of just that thing for featuring on the website. Featuring it on the message board is also a great idea.
Iwill be working on that.
If anyone has any suggestions for the mission statement, I am starting a suggestion thread in the private administrative forum (not strictly because I want it secret but I would like to see if all those who are allowed can access and post to that area).
Something else I noticed… With the Admins, it seems (at least to me) like the signatures aren't working. Although with others (like Sean) it seems that it is.
Can anyone else see Rick's, Laz's, or my sig?
By the way, if anyone types up their posts in a word processor and then pastes it into the text box to post (like me!), with vBulletin you will have to click on the text box and then use Ctrl+V to paste into it. For some reason, it doesn't support Right Click+Paste. Just make sure you paste plain text! If you don't, it will add a bunch of smilies for some reason.

I see your sig also Ryan but no one else's. I looked through all the options but don't find one for allowing or disallowing the use of signatures within posts. There is one for seeing others' sigs but I have that marked. It may be in your area that it has to be fixed.

Ok. Nevermind Ryan... It has to do with posting the message. You need to check the "show Signature" box before you submit.

Just got the invite from Rick and Ryan today and I'm glad I did. So far I like what I see and think I will fit in well here. The reason I took time off from Anomalies, great place that it is, was because of the flame wars that broke out in pretty much every thread I posted . All I wanted was honest open discussions in the topics I enjoy. I know Sean knows what I'm talking about. Anywho, here's to a great start in a hopefully wonderful and productive relationship. I do believe we were doing important work at Anomalies and hope to do even more here.
FYI Rick, I am currently living in Westminster, just north of Denver for about another 6 weeks.
