    Interesting alert.

Imminent Terrorist Attack Warning By Feds on US Border

    Janet08/29/20141 Comment

High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED).

A terrorist warning as been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

Yet Obummer won’t secure the border. He doesn’t have a strategy, nor does he give a damn. It looks like the American people will have the task of defending this country, should anything happen. It’s a shame we have piss poor leadership in Washington DC.

Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Violent crimes are so rampant in Juarez that the U.S. State Department has issued a number of travel warnings for anyone planning to go there. The last one was issued just a few days ago.

Intelligence officials have picked up radio talk and chatter indicating that the terrorist groups are going to “carry out an attack on the border,” according to one JW source.

“It’s coming very soon,” according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.

The disturbing inside intelligence comes on the heels of news reports revealing that U.S. intelligence has picked up increased chatter among Islamist terror networks approaching the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. While these terrorists reportedly plan their attack just outside the U.S., President Obama admits that “we don’t have a strategy yet” to combat ISIS. “I don’t want to put the cart before the horse,” the commander-in-chief said this week during a White House press briefing. “I think what I’ve seen in some of the news reports suggest that folks are getting a little further ahead of what we’re at than what we currently are.”

The administration has also covered up, or at the very least downplayed, a serious epidemic of crime along the Mexican border even as heavily armed drug cartels have taken over portions of the region. Judicial Watch has reported that the U.S. Border Patrol actually ordered officers to avoid the most crime-infested stretches because they’re “too dangerous” and patrolling them could result in an “international incident” of cross border shooting. In the meantime, who could forget the famous words of Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano; the southern border is “as secure as it has ever been.”

    Judicial Watch

These new revelations are bound to impact the current debate about the border crisis and immigration policy.

Ok... Let's think like a Terrorist.

    1) Send some people to a place full of drug cartels.

    2) Don't infiltrate, ASK for help.

    3) Learn the language

    4) Get familiar with the region, the people, the trafficking of drugs

    5) Help FUND the drug cartel, be NICE to them

    6) get several mean trained, use them as teachers - takes about a year. They've been there AT LEAST A YEAR.

    7) Infiltrate the US using the same, known, tested routes the illegals use

    8) have the cartel (who already has people here) set you up, get you in place and leave you on your own.

    9) Set up your targets

    10) Kill/blow up/ destroy/ attack your targets

Do you think this is NOT something these guys aren't capable of accomplishing?

Laptop reportedly seized from ISIS hideout hints at bio weapons attack

    Posted on
    Fox News:
A laptop reportedly recovered from an Islamic State jihadist contained a hidden trove of secret plans, including weaponizing the bubonic plague, and lessons on disguise, bomb-making and stealing cars.
A man identified by ForeignPolicy.com as Abu Ali, a commander of a moderate Syrian rebel group in northern Syria, told the publication the black laptop was seized earlier this year in a raid on an ISIS hideout in the Syrian province of Idlib, close to the border with Turkey, and belonged to a Tunisian jihadist.
“We found the laptop and the power cord in a room,” Ali told ForeignPolicy.com. “I took it with me.”
Initially, it appeared the computer had been scrubbed, but on closer inspection, thousands of secret files were discovered on the hard drive, which was not password protected, Ali said.
ForeignPolicy.com was permitted to copy of thousands of files, which were in French, English, and Arabic. The information included videos of Usama bin Laden, ideological justifications for jihad and tutorials on how to carry out the Islamic State’s deadly campaigns.
But most chilling were files that indicated the computer’s owner, identified as a Tunisian national named Muhammed S. who joined ISIS in Syria after studying chemistry and physics at two universities in Tunisia, was teaching himself how to manufacture biological weapons, in preparation for a potential attack that could have been catastrophic on a global scale. A 19-page document in Arabic included instructions on how to develop biological weapons and how to weaponize the bubonic plague from infected animals.
“The advantage of biological weapons is that they do not cost a lot of money, while the human casualties can be huge,” the document states.

ForeignPolicy.com was permitted to copy of thousands of files, which were in French, English, and Arabic. The information included videos of Usama bin Laden, ideological justifications for jihad and tutorials on how to carry out the Islamic State's deadly campaigns.
But most chilling were files that indicated the computer's owner, identified as a Tunisian national named Muhammed S. who joined ISIS in Syria after studying chemistry and physics at two universities in Tunisia, was teaching himself how to manufacture biological weapons, in preparation for a potential attack that could have been catastrophic on a global scale. The document includes instructions for testing the weaponized plague before using it to attack.
"When the microbe is injected in small mice, the symptoms of the disease should start to appear within 24 hours," the document says.
While some Islamic scholars have said the use of weapons of mass destruction is prohibited, the material on the seized computer included a fatwa, or Islamic ruling, permitting it.
"If Muslims cannot defeat the kafir [unbelievers] in a different way, it is permissible to use weapons of mass destruction," states the fatwa by Saudi jihadi cleric Nasir al-Fahd, who is currently imprisoned in Saudi Arabia. "Even if it kills all of them and wipes them and their descendants off the face of the Earth."
Foreign Policy verified that the computer's owner had indeed attended a Tunisian university and studied chemistry and physics there until some time in 2011.
Thousands of Tunisians have gone to Syria to join Islamic State, according to an estimate from Tunisia's government.
Foreign Policy noted that the information on the laptop does not indicate that Islamic State possess biological weapons. But it does show they are seeking them.
"The real difficulty in all of these weapons ... [is] to actually have a workable distribution system that will kill a lot of people," Magnus Ranstorp, research director of the Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies at the Swedish National Defence College, told the publication. "But to produce quite scary weapons is certainly within [the Islamic State's] capabilities."

Found: The Islamic State's Terror Laptop of Doom

Buried in a Dell computer captured in Syria are lessons for making bubonic plague bombs and missives on using weapons of mass destruction.

    Share +

ANTAKYA, Turkey — Abu Ali, a commander of a moderate Syrian rebel group in northern Syria, proudly shows a black laptop partly covered in dust. "We took it this year from an ISIS hideout," he says.
Abu Ali says the fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), which have since rebranded themselves as the Islamic State, all fled before he and his men attacked the building. The attack occurred in January in a village in the Syrian province of Idlib, close to the border with Turkey, as part of a larger anti-ISIS offensive occurring at the time. "We found the laptop and the power cord in a room," he continued, "I took it with me. But I have no clue if it still works or if it contains anything interesting."
As we switched on the Dell laptop, it indeed still worked. Nor was it password-protected. But then came a huge disappointment: After we clicked on "My Computer," all the drives appeared empty.
Appearances, however, can be deceiving. Upon closer inspection, the ISIS laptop wasn't empty at all: Buried in the "hidden files" section of the computer were 146 gigabytes of material, containing a total of 35,347 files in 2,367 folders. Abu Ali allowed us to copy all these files -- which included documents in French, English, and Arabic -- onto an external hard drive.

A screenshot of material found on the computer. The files appear to be videos of speeches by jihadist clerics. (Click to enlarge.)

The laptop's contents turn out to be a treasure trove of documents that provide ideological justifications for jihadi organizations -- and practical training on how to carry out the Islamic State's deadly campaigns. They include videos of Osama bin Laden, manuals on how to make bombs, instructions for stealing cars, and lessons on how to use disguises in order to avoid getting arrested while traveling from one jihadi hot spot to another.

But after hours upon hours of scrolling through the documents, it became clear that the ISIS laptop contains more than the typical propaganda and instruction manuals used by jihadists. The documents also suggest that the laptop's owner was teaching himself about the use of biological weaponry, in preparation for a potential attack that would have shocked the world.

The information on the laptop makes clear that its owner is a Tunisian national named Muhammed S. who joined ISIS in Syria and who studied chemistry and physics at two universities in Tunisia's northeast. Even more disturbing is how he planned to use that education: The ISIS laptop contains a 19-page document in Arabic on how to develop biological weapons and how to weaponize the bubonic plague from infected animals.

"The advantage of biological weapons is that they do not cost a lot of money, while the human casualties can be huge," the document states.

The document includes instructions for how to test the weaponized disease safely, before it is used in a terrorist attack."When the microbe is injected in small mice, the symptoms of the disease should start to appear within 24 hours," the document says.

The laptop also includes a 26-page fatwa, or Islamic ruling, on the usage of weapons of mass destruction.

When contacted by phone, a staff member at a Tunisian university listed on Muhammed's exam papers confirmed that he indeed studied chemistry and physics there. She said the university lost track of him after 2011, however.

A photo of Muhammed S. found on his laptop. This image has been digitally altered.

Out of the blue, she asked: “Did you find his papers inside Syria?” Asked why she would think that Muhammed’s belongings would have ended up in Syria, she answered, “For further questions about him, you better ask state security.”

An astonishing number of Tunisians have flocked to the Syrian battlefield since the revolt began. In June, Tunisia’s interior minister estimated that at least 2,400 Tunisians were fighting in the country, mostly as members of the Islamic State.

This isn't the first time that jihadists have attempted to acquire weapons of mass destruction. Even before the 9/11 attacks, al Qaeda had experimented with a chemical weapons program in Afghanistan. In 2002, CNN obtained a tape showing al Qaeda members testing poison gas on three dogs, all of which died.

Nothing on the ISIS laptop, of course, suggests that the jihadists already possess these dangerous weapons. And any jihadi organization contemplating a bioterrorist attack will face many difficulties: Al Qaeda tried unsuccessfully for years to get its hands on such weapons, and the United States has devoted massive resources to preventing terrorists from making just this sort of breakthrough. The material on this laptop, however, is a reminder that jihadists are also hard at work at acquiring the weapons that could allow them to kill thousands of people with one blow.

"The real difficulty in all of these weapons ... [is] to actually have a workable distribution system that will kill a lot of people," said Magnus Ranstorp, research director of the Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies at the Swedish National Defence College. "But to produce quite scary weapons is certainly within [the Islamic State's] capabilities."

The Islamic State's sweeping gains in recent months may have provided it with the capacity to develop such new and dangerous weapons. Members of the jihadi group are not solely fighting on the front lines these days -- they also control substantial parts of Syria and Iraq. The fear now is that men like Muhammed could be quietly working behind the front lines -- for instance, in the Islamic State-controlled University of Mosul or in some laboratory in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the group's de facto capital -- to develop chemical or biological weapons.

In short, the longer the caliphate exists, the more likely it is that members with a science background will come up with something horrible. The documents found on the laptop of the Tunisian jihadist, meanwhile, leave no room for doubt about the group's deadly ambitions.

"Use small grenades with the virus, and throw them in closed areas like metros, soccer stadiums, or entertainment centers," the 19-page document on biological weapons advises. "Best to do it next to the air-conditioning. It also can be used during suicide operations."

Colorado has had 60 cases of all types of plague since 1957, and nine people have died. Twelve cases of plague have occurred in the past decade in the state. The state’s investigation is ongoing, House said.

Possible Bubonic Plague Death in Colorado

    C O L O R A D O S P R I N G S, Colo., June 20

Tests show bubonic plague is present among prairie dogs in a field near the city's airport, and county health officials are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man who had plague-like symptoms.
Dr. Tisha Dowe, head of the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment, on Tuesday ordered warning signs posted to keep people out of the area. A man who lived near the prairie dog colony died Monday after suffering symptoms similar to those caused by the plague. Tests to determine the cause of death will take several days, officials said. The plague is deadly in humans if left untreated. It spreads through bites from infected fleas. County health officials collected fleas and at least one dead prairie dog from the colony and shipped them to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to test for plague. Dowe said the man who died, whose name wasn't being released immediately, frequently rode a bicycle through the area where the infection was found.

Bubonic plague confirmed in La Plata County woman

A La Plata County woman has contracted bubonic plague, according to the San Juan Basin Health Department.
The woman was hospitalized Saturday before she was released to recover at home, Flannery O'Neil, a spokeswoman for the department, said Monday.
O'Neil said the department is investigating how the woman was exposed to the plague.
The last case of bubonic plague in La Plata County — which lies in a region of the nation that predominantly sees the disease — was in 2006. A case was also confirmed in nearby Archuleta County in 2012, O'Neil said.
The bubonic plague is not transferable among humans, but rather is often spread through animals.
Bubonic plague causes sudden onset of fever, headache, chills and weakness, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The bacterial infection is treated with antibiotics.
"In recent decades, an average of seven human plague cases have been reported each year nationwide," the department said.
Four other cases of plague — specifically the pneumonic plague — have been reported in Colorado this year. All of those sickened lived in Adams County, according to state health officials.
There have been 64 cases of human plague in Colorado since 1957, nine of which were fatal.
Officials say the best way to protect yourself against plague is to use insect repellent, avoid wild, sick or dead animals and eliminate rodent habitats.

Terror 'Chatter' on Rise as 9/11 Anniversary Approaches

    Friday, 29 Aug 2014 08:37 AM
    By Melissa Clyne

In the lead up to the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States, intelligence officials are seeing a significant rise in "chatter" among terror groups, The Washington Times reported.

On Aug. 9, a Twitter account listed as #AMessageFromISIStoUS shows a picture of the Old Republic Building in Chicago – located on North Michigan Avenue – with a person holding a piece of scrap paper with Arabic scrawled on it that translates as "soldiers of the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria will pass from here soon," WGN reported.

Another tweet shows someone holding a smart phone with a picture of the ISIS flag with the White House lit up at night in the background.

One tweet accompanying the pictures says: "we are in your state/ we are in your cities / we are in your streets. You are our goals anywhere." Another reads: "we are here #america near our #target sooooooooooooon."

The same twitter account also posted video of the beheading of American journalist James Foley, who is a graduate of Chicago’s Northwestern University.

Before Sept. 11, 2001, the intelligence community also saw an uptick in "chatter," but deciphering it has become increasingly difficult, according to the Times, because like al-Qaida, ISIS also has targeted the United States.

Earlier this month, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers told CBS News that because of ISIS, America is in more danger today than it was in the lead up to the 9/11 attacks.

"Before 9/11, there were single-level threat streams coming to the United States," he said on "Face the Nation."

"So, pretty serious. Obviously they got in and conducted the attacks on 9/11. Now you have multiple organizations, all al-Qaida-minded, trying to accomplish the same thing,"

Ret. Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, now a military analyst for Fox News, implied Saturday on "America’s News HQ" that the missing Malaysian airliner could reappear as part of a Sept. 11 terror plot, according to
    Breitbart News.

"On the seventh of September, a major news network and publishing network are going to put out a book," McInerney said. "It is going to be earth shattering of what's happening and what happened. The fact is we may even see a 9/11/14 MH-370 surface again. We should go to DEFCON 1, our highest state of readiness and be prepared as we lead up to 9/11."

Imminent Terrorist Attack Warning By Feds on US Border

    AUGUST 29, 2014

Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

These new revelations are bound to impact the current debate about the border crisis and immigration policy.

EXCLUSIVE: Breitbart Texas Verifies ISIS Border Threat With Leaked Doc

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Breitbart Texas has exclusively obtained a leaked document warning federal agents about an ISIS-related terrorism threat across the entire US-Mexico border. Though the document focuses on the Texas-Mexico border, Breitbart Texas has confirmed that federal agents across the entire US-Mexico border have received the ISIS terror warning.

The document was released by the Texas Department of Public Safety and warned that ISIS was actively promoting and encouraging supporters to take advantage of the porous Texas-Mexico border to carry out terrorist attacks against US citizens.

The document attributed the increased interest by ISIS to a report done by journalist James O'Keefe. Though the report did not mention O'Keefe by name, it showed images of O'Keefe crossing the porous Texas-Mexico border while wearing an Osama bin Laden mask.

In addition to the report, U.S. Border Patrol Agents confirmed that the U.S. Border Patrol agency was indeed taking the threat seriously. A Border Patrol agent in the Laredo Sector told Breitbart Texas that they had credible information that ISIS was attempting to find individuals and groups in Nuevo-Laredo Mexico to assist in gaining entry into the united states.

A Border Patrol agent in the El Paso Sector would only tell Breitbart Texas that a warning was issued to agents pertaining to ISIS.

The Border Patrol agent spoke to Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity.

Judicial Watch first reported on a threat from ISIS being issued to federal agents in El Paso agents earlier in the day. They claimed that their sources warned of an imminent terrorist threat. Breitbart Texas was unable to identify any sources in federal law enforcement agencies to verify that a specific and imminent terror plot was currently under way. Breitbart Texas spoke with the president of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton. He said, "This is a dire situation and I can't emphasize enough the seriousness of the threat posed here. If your law enforcement sources do not have the information we have, they are being ill-served by their leadership. We put this out to protect the safety of law enforcement and citizens along the border. this is a public safety announcement."

ELEVEN MISSING LIBYAN JETLINERS RAISE FEARS OF SUICIDE AIRLINER ATTACKS ON 9/11

Egypt set for military intervention as Libya spirals toward failed state

In this image made from video by The Associated Press, smoke rises from the direction of Tripoli airport in Tripoli, Libya, Sunday, July 13, 2014. Rival militias battled Sunday for the control of the international airport in Libya's capital / AP

    BY: Bill Gertz

Islamist militias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners last month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa.

Intelligence reports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S. government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one or more of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month on the date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiar with the reports.

“There are a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,” said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happen with hijacked planes.”

The official said the aircraft are a serious counterterrorism concern because reports of terrorist control over the Libyan airliners come three weeks before the 13th anniversary of 9/11 attacks and the second anniversary of the Libyan terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the Benghazi attack, which the Obama administration initially said was the result of a spontaneous demonstration against an anti-Muslim video.

A senior State Department counterterrorism official declined to comment on reports of the stolen jetliners.

A second State department official sought to downplay the reports. “We can’t confirm that,” he said.

Meanwhile, officials said Egyptian military forces appear to be preparing to intervene in Libya to prevent the country from becoming a failed state run by terrorists, many with ties to al Qaeda.

Libya remains an oil-rich state and if the country is taken over completely by Islamist extremists, U.S. counterterrorism officials believe it will become another terrorist safe haven in the region.

The officials said U.S. intelligence agencies have not confirmed the aircraft theft following the takeover of Tripoli International Airport in late August, and are attempting to locate all aircraft owned by two Libyan state-owned airline companies, as security in the country continued to deteriorate amid fighting between Islamists and anti-Islamist militias.

Video surfaced on Sunday showing armed fighters from the Islamist militia group Libyan Dawn partying inside a captured U.S. diplomatic compound in Tripoli. The footage showed one fighter diving into a pool from a second-story balcony at the facility.

Tripoli airport and at least seven aircraft were reported damaged during fighting that began in July. Photos of the airport in the aftermath showed a number of damaged aircraft. The airport has been closed since mid-July.

The state-owned Libyan Airlines fleet until this summer included 14 passenger and cargo jetliners, including seven Airbus 320s, one Airbus 330, two French ATR-42 turboprop aircraft, and four Bombardier CJR-900s. Libyan state-owned Afriqiyah Airways fleet is made up of 13 aircraft, including three Airbus 319s, seven Airbus 320s, two Airbus 330s, and one Airbus 340.

The aircraft were reportedly taken in late August following the takeover of Tripoli International Airport, located about 20 miles south of the capital, by Libyan Dawn.

Al Jazeera television reported in late August that western intelligence reports had warned of terror threats to the region from 11 stolen commercial jets.

In response, Tunisia stopped flights from other Libyan airports at Tripoli, Sirte, and Misrata over concerns that jets from those airports could be on suicide missions.
Egypt’s government also halted flights to and from Libya.

Military forces in North Africa, including those from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt have been placed on heightened alert as a result of intelligence warning of the stolen aircraft.

Egyptian military jets reportedly have conducted strikes inside Libya against Libyan Dawn positions recently, and U.S. officials said there are signs a larger Egyptian military incursion is being planned.

Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah al-Sisi was quoted as denying Egyptian air strikes into Libya have taken place but suggested that military action is being considered.

Secretary of State John Kerry last week told his Egyptian counterpart that the United States would speed up the delivery of Apache attack helicopters, although it is not clear the Apaches would be used in any Libyan operations.

Egypt’s military-backed government appears to be seeking a more significant role in regional security after the Obama administration helped engineer the ouster of Libyan strongman Moammar Qaddafi in 2011. Since then, the Obama administration, through its announced policy of “leading from behind,” has stood by while Libya gradually has spiraled into chaos.

The Libyan government announced Sunday that it no longer controlled the capital of Tripoli.

“We announce that the majority of the ministries, institutions, and associations in the capital Tripoli are no longer under its control,” a government statement said.

Libya’s parliament in August declared both Ansar al Sharia and Libyan Dawn as terrorist organizations working to overthrow the government.

Ansar al Sharia, which is based in Benghazi, recently publicized on social media that it has obtained large numbers of more sophisticated weapons, including SA-6 surface-to-air missiles, anti-aircraft guns, rocket-propelled grenades, shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, assault rifles, and armored vehicles. The group is closely aligned with al Qaeda-linked rebels in Syria.

Abderrahmane Mekkaoui, a Moroccan military expert, told Al Jazeera television, which first reported the airline theft Aug. 21, the alert regarding the stolen jetliners was preventive and covers the region from Cairo to Lagos Nigeria.
Mekkaoui said the jets being held by the Libyan group called Masked Men Brigade that was designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the State Department in December.

The Masked Men Brigade is linked to al Qaeda and Ansar al Sharia—the group behind the Benghazi terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2012.

Until the Libya Dawn takeover of the airport, announced Aug. 24, two other militia groups, known as Al Qaqa and Al Sawa controlled the airport and all aircraft belonging to Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah Airways.

Mekkaoui said “credible intelligence” reports given to states in the region indicated the Masked Men Brigade “is plotting to use the planes in attacks on a Maghreb state” on the 9/11 anniversary.

Counterterrorism expert Sebastian Gorka said that if the theft is confirmed, the stolen aircraft could be used in at least two ways.

“The first would be how commercial airliners were used on Sept. 11, 2001, literally turning an innocent mode of mass transit into a super-high precision guided missile of immense potency,” said Gorka, who holds the Maj. Gen. Charles Horner chair at Marine Corps University in Quantico, Va.

“The second tactic could be to use the airframe with its civilian markings as a tool of deception to insert a full payload of armed terrorists into a locale that otherwise is always open to commercial carriers,” he said.
Michael Rubin, a counterterrorism specialist with the American Enterprise Institute, said commercial jetliners in the hands of terrorists could be formidable weapons.

“Who needs ballistic missiles when you have passenger planes? Even empty, but loaded up with fuel they can be as devastating,” Rubin said.

“Each plane could, if deployed by terrorists to maximum devastating effect, represent 1,000 civilian casualties.”

Among the potential targets are urban areas and economic targets, like Saudi Arabia’s oil fields.

“Anyone who has ever flown over Saudi Arabia at night can see refineries like Yanbu lit up like Christmas trees against the blackness of the desert,” Rubin said. “One Saudi security officer once told me that they would only have about 90 seconds to shoot down a hijacked plane from the time it left international airspace to impact in one of the region’s most important refineries.”

Rubin said in 2003 a Boeing 727 went missing in Africa fueling concerns about a terror attack on the U.S. consulate in Karachi.

“What is striking is that more than a decade later, the United States hasn’t taken the need to safeguard what are effectively giant guided missiles seriously,” he said.

A former Libyan general, Khalifa Haftar, has been leading anti-Islamist forces. His group has access to Libyan air force MiG jets that have conducted strikes on Libyan Dawn positions in recent days. Haftar also has conducted military raids in Benghazi.

The United Nations Security Council on Aug. 27 announced plans for new sanctions on Libyan militias and terrorists. In a resolution the U.N. warned of the “growing presence of al Qaeda-linked terrorist groups and individuals operating in Libya.”

Well, here you go. Bill Gertz said it.

WFB’s Bill Gertz: Obama Administration ‘Trying to Play Down’ Missing Libyan Airliners

    Posted on
    By Larry O’Connor:

Washington Free Beacon senior editor Bill Gertz appeared on WMAL radio in Washington, D.C., Wednesday morning to discuss his exclusive story on 11 missing airliners from the Tripoli airport.

“(U.S. Intelligence is) concerned they could be utilized in a 9/11-style attack,” Gertz said of the planes. “If they don’t use them in suicide attacks, they could also be used to transport some of these Islamist groups to expand their reach.”

“It seems like the State Department, the Obama administration, is trying to play down these reports, but the people I talked to were fairly concerned about them,” Gertz said. “Again, they are trying to locate these jets. I don’t think the CIA has a full handle on where all of the aircraft from the airlines were. There are a number of airports in the region that are within close distance to Tripoli International, so they’re obviously looking at these places and trying to get a count of how many aircraft are there.”

When co-host Brian Wilson asked specifics with regard to how Gertz’s sources responded to the reports of the missing jets by saying the “can’t confirm” the reports, Gertz explained that “can’t confirm” in this context was not meant as a denial, but “they’re trying to play down by saying ‘well, we can’t confirm them.’ That’s kind of bureaucrat speak within the United States government.”

“You have to understand the politics of Libya right now,” Gertz said.”You have a congressional inquiry spinning up to look at the 2012 terrorist attack at the diplomatic compound in Benghazi. So that would be my only speculation as to why they’re playing it down.”

    Alert! Imminent Terrorist Attack! Alert!

(I don't know the veracity of this yet...)

Imminent Terrorist Attack Warning By Feds on US Border—Ft. Bliss Increases Security

    September 4, 2014

tags: Ciudad Juarez, homeland security, ISIS, judicial watch, Obama administration

    Irene Garcia
    8/31/2014
    Source …..

Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED).

Specifically, the government sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas.

“It’s coming very soon,” according to another high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, JW’s sources say. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.

But two days after JW published this report Ft. Bliss implemented increased security measures. The statement that went out to the media attributes the move to several recent security assessments and the constant concern for the safety of military members, families, employees and civilians. However, El Paso’s newspaper credited JW’s Friday piece about ISIS terrorists planning an attack on U.S. soil from Juarez as a possible factor.

In the meantime, who could forget the famous words of Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano; the southern border is “as secure as it has ever been.”

Fort Bliss changes gate access policy through Tuesday morning

Two gates restricted to military ID cardholders; 4 key gates stay open to public
By David Burge / El Paso Times
    Posted: 08/31/2014 11:57:07 AM MDT

FORT BLISS >> Motorists wanting access to Fort Bliss for the rest of the Labor Day holiday weekend may have to make some adjustments to which gates they use and allow a little extra time to get onto the installation.

Two gates to Fort Bliss that have been open to civilian traffic will be restricted to individuals with Department of Defense identification through 5 a.m. Tuesday, post officials announced Sunday.

The Biggs main gate and Sergeant Major North gate will only be open to people with Department of Defense identification cards, including soldiers, family members and civilian employees at the installation, until Tuesday morning. Other motorists coming to those gates will be directed to go to gates still open to civilian traffic.

Motorists were also reminded that they and all occupants are subject to random searches and inspections, which has always been the policy.

Four key gates remain open to everyone, however, and provide access to different areas of the post.
The changes are the "results of several recent security assessments and our constant concern for the safety of military members, families, employees and civilians," according to a press release.

No specific threats or incidents were cited in the announcement. But military installations like Fort Hood have been hit with several high-profile active-shooter incidents in recent years, and there was a report last week by a conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, which alleges that ISIS terrorists are present in Juárez and are planning attacks on U.S. soil.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said that they were "unaware of any specific, credible threats to the U.S. homeland" from terror group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

All Department of Defense ID cardholders and civilians possessing a valid state-issued driver's license may still access Fort Bliss through the Cassidy, Buffalo Soldier (formerly Robert E. Lee), Fred Wilson and Old Ironsides (formerly known as Global Reach) gates.

The Pershing, IBCT-North and Sheridan gates will remain closed through the weekend to all traffic. Other gates, such as Constitution, are normally closed on the weekends and nonduty hours anyway.

The gates that remain open to the public provide access to virtually all of the installation.

The Cassidy and Buffalo Soldier gates provide entry to the older part of Fort Bliss, now called West Bliss, which houses the Garrison Command and many civilian-run support agencies like Morale, Welfare and Recreation. The Fred Wilson gate provides access to William Beaumont Army Medical Center.

The Old Ironsides gate provides access to East Bliss, including the 1st Armored Division headquarters, several brigades and tenants like Joint Task Force North, which lends Department of Defense support to counter-narcotics efforts.

"Other than random inspections, there shouldn't be an inconvenience to those visiting," read a statement issued to further explain the initial announcement.

Although the new restrictions expire at 5 a.m. Tuesday, after the Labor Day weekend, the post press release also said "additional future changes to Fort Bliss access controls can be expected."

Department of Defense spokesman Mark Wright said he was not aware of any department-wide edict to increase security this holiday weekend.

The main Biggs gate, which is closed to civilian traffic through 5 a.m. Tuesday, provides direct access to the Centennial Club and the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.

If you need to get there, you can use Old Ironsides (Global Reach) gate and then take a left on Sergeant Major Boulevard to get to those facilities.

Angie Tabat is an Army wife who has lived on Fort Bliss for three years and goes on and off post several times a day, using different gates.

She said there are so many gates at Fort Bliss, you only have to travel a few minutes to find one that is open.

"The gates that are closed right now shouldn't cause any major inconveniences, other than maybe a slight change in routine for some folks who typically use those gates," she said in an email.

Tabat also said she trusts the post's leadership to make the best decisions to keep everyone safe.

"Acting with an abundance of caution can never be a bad thing," she said. "As a family member and someone who lives on post, I want them to institute whatever changes they deem necessary for as long as they deem necessary. I have confidence in our leaders and decision makers. I know the safety of Fort Bliss is first and foremost in their minds at all times."

Officials urge travelers to plan accordingly and give themselves more time to access the post.

Fort Bliss has had an "easy-access policy" in recent years and has encouraged members of the El Paso public to eat and watch movies at Freedom Crossing and attend concerts, ceremonies and other events at the installation.

One of the members of Congress, Republican Trent Franks, asked at a hearing of the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives to the Assistant Attorney General of the Human Rights Division of the Justice Department, Thomas Perez, or freedom of expression in relation to the criticizing religions -as guaranteed in the First Amendment of the Constituent never criminalized. Perez refused to confirm this.

Barack Obama on June 4, 2009 at the University of Cairo: 'We're sorry'

"Muslims are the best part of America '
Given the background of every American Perez would at least have to be. Highly suspicious Perez -who recorded it in 2008 for the radical American Muslim movement racist New Black Panther Party (NBPP) - for example, spoke in 2009 the following words at the national conference of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC):

"As-Salamu Alaykum to you all ... MPAC is an organization that not only the best of the American Muslim community represents, but best of all America. I came here to make sure you are in the fight against inflammatory, fear and hate forces far too prevalent in our country. "The power of the American government (Obama) behind you

Support for Hamas and Islamization USA
However, what the sowing of hatred is concerned the MPAC itself a very dubious past. As Salam al-Marayati, claimed the founder of MPAC, at the same conference that Israel was behind the attacks on 9/11. Leader and board member Mahdi Bray is an overt anti-Semite and a mosque in Florida raised money for the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas, whose official aim the destruction of the Jewish state and the extermination of the Jewish people.

Last year, Perez met with hardcore Islamist Mohamed Magi, head of the Islamic Society of North America that openly seeks the Islamization of the United States Magi also advocates the introduction of penalties for people who criticize Islam (Koran) texts calling for murder and violence against non-Muslims and discrimination against women, minorities, and justified. Dissenters

"Criticism of Islam forbid Orwellian plan
The powerful Islamic bloc in the UN has been trying to criminalize and prohibit. Criticism of Islam worldwide since 1999 Officially, it goes into the draft legislation on criticism of all religions, but all proposals made so far under the UN were made were concerned solely with criticism of Islam. According to Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice is therefore 'nothing more than an attempt to give Islam. Special protection' Even in the eyes of the organization Human Rights First violates the concept of freedom of expression.

Carl Moeller, head of Open Doors USA, compares the 'devious' UN plan even with the term "doublespeak" from George Orwell's famous novel, "1984." The Muslim countries will be abusing the law to justify their global violent assassination campaign against Christians because they alone confessing Jesus Christ as "critical" and "insult" of Islam interpret according to him.

Obama as supreme Dhimmi. The G20 Summit in London, Wednesday, April 1st 2009, President Barack Obama demonstrates here - with his back to the camera - his new approach to the Middle East. As befits a consummate Dhimmi: first deep bow to King Abdullah Islamist dictator of Saudi Arabia, the closest ally of the United States in the Middle East. Obama knows why he is better very bow to the Saudi king, but deep: 15 of the 19 terrorists who WTC on 9/11 to ashes, were Saudis like Osama bin Laden that was.
French President Nicholas Sarkozy is smiling looking down on. American Dhimmi In his imagination he saw the head of Obama already rolling on the floor. Fortunately, the Saudi king at that time no scimitar in his hands, because otherwise it would be one of the shortest careers of an American president have been. Right Rear (pink tie) Dhimmi Number One of the World: Ban Ki-Moon. The Secretary-General of the United Nations draws always present when Islamist leaders and their dhimmis come together.
