Leftists Call Oklahoma Beheading Workplace Violence- Unbelievable! They also are using a 3 year old photo of him in an attempt to portray him as a clean cut American instead of a man who had converted to radical Islam. (See the photo above from Bland Donut.) Watch MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry disregard the “Islam” factor below. I guess she missed the press conference which happened right after the beheading when Muslims surrounded the cops and started screaming “Praise Allah”

    Whatever

CNN reporting Alton Nolen is saying he did it because of being fired, and he felt oppressed at work because of his religion, but that he did not do it for ISIS - although he was inspired by them to do beheadings as a means to kill people.

Local Muslims in Oklahoma Shout ‘Praise Allah’ After Woman’s Decapitation

in Faith, News, Opinion / by Prissy Holly / on September 27, 2014 at 1:14 am /
After the nation learned the horrific news of a woman being beheaded in Moore, Oklahoma, at the hands of a Muslim lunatic, posts began to surface on Twitter as to the behavior of the Muslim community in that area. Tweets by several users allege that shortly after the press conference was held by Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis, a group of around 40 Muslims gathered around the police, several shouting, “Praise Allah!” while others gathered and read passages out of their Qurans.

About 5 of the probably 40 muslims are actually sayin praise Allah after this news conference on the beheading in Oklahoma

They asked PD many questions but I was unable to hear. I personally heard a few saying praise allah but most of the 40 were just listening.

If most Muslims in America are “moderate” and “peaceful,” then why are these Muslims cheering for this man instead of condemning his heinous act of violence against this woman? It makes you wonder what these people are being taught in their local mosques if their immediate reaction is to support a man who would decapitate a woman in cold blood in the name of their “peaceful” religion.

here's the asswipe that killed a poor woman in OKC.

Read this and understand what we're up against now.

    Allah Made Me Do It

Allah Made Me Do It, Front Page Magazine, Daniel Greenfield, September 29, 2014
You might as well argue that Islam has nothing to do with Islam.
    **************
Stop me if you’ve heard this story before.

A Muslim convert who recently became very religious beheads a woman while reportedly shouting Islamic phrases. The authorities rush to convince everyone in sight that it has nothing to do with Islam.

I’m not talking about Alton Nolen in Oklahoma at the end of September, but Nicholas Salvador in the UK at the beginning of September. Salvador, a Nigerian Muslim convert, beheaded an 82-year-old European woman with a foot-long blade. Nolen killed a 54-year-old American woman with a 10-inch blade.

The bios of both men are fairly similar to the beheaders of British soldier Lee Rigby. The perpetrators were Nigerian converts to Islam. Alton Nolen was a black convert to Islam. They had a history of criminal behavior followed by a conversion to Islam and the inevitable bloody ending.

On his Facebook page, Nolen posted, “Sharia law is coming!!!” The killers of Lee Rigby had chanted for Sharia law in the streets of London. That is the same Sharia law of stonings and beheadings.

It is the law of the Koran which states, “When you meet the unbelievers in Jihad smite at their necks until you have slaughtered many of them.” (Koran 47:4)

Or as Nolen quoted after posting a gory beheading photo on his Facebook page, “Thus do we find the clear precedent that explains the peculiar penchant of Islamic terrorists to behead their victims: it is merely another precedent bestowed by their Prophet.”

The quote underneath the beheading photo backed that up, “I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off of them.”(Quran 8:9-13)

An unbeliever is anyone who isn’t a Muslim.

This latest “Nothing to do with Islam” atrocity follows the Islamic State’s beheading of two Americans. These acts were admired by an Oklahoma City nursing home worker who was arrested for threatening a female co-worker with an ISIS style beheading on account of her being a Christian.

Again, nothing to do with Islam. Much like the Islamic State beheadings which we have been told also have nothing to do with Islam.

This sort of “Nothing to do with Islam” beheading pops up now and again.

A decade ago Ariel Selloul was nearly decapitated in Texas by Mohammed Ali Alayed. Mo had recently gotten religion and become a devout Muslim. His victim was Jewish.

Before Mohammed got serious about Islam, the two men had been friends.

Again, it had nothing to do with Islam. At least that’s what the authorities said.

Around the same time a Jewish disc jockey was murdered in Paris by a Muslim friend who announced, “I killed a Jew, I will go to paradise. Allah made me do it.”

The Muslim killer, Adel Amastaibou, had threatened a Rabbi and a pregnant Jewish woman before. Instead the authorities decided that he was mentally ill.

Nothing to do with Islam. Not a thing.

And so we have a rash of mysterious beheadings and vicious stabbings that we know nothing about except that they have nothing to do with Islam. The more they obviously seem to have something to do with Islam, the more it has to be denied that they had anything to do with Islam.

Alton and Adel, Mohammed, Mujahid and Ismail, the latter two being the Muslim names of the Lee Rigby killers, have nothing to do with Islam. Even the Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam.

And yet Alton Nolen decided that beheading had quite a lot to do with Islam. All he had to do to figure that out was open a Koran. Expecting to convince Muslims to believe that the Koran has nothing to do with Islam will be even harder than convincing them that beheadings and the Islamic State have nothing to do with Islam.
You might as well argue that Islam has nothing to do with Islam.

The CVE programs under Barack Obama keep promising to counter the Islamic narrative on Twitter, but instead Twitter is full of ISIS Jihadists displaying severed heads as trophies and quoting the appropriate verses from the Koran.

Obama denounces ISIS as un-Islamic for beheading people while leading a coalition against them which includes Muslim countries that use beheading as an Islamic punishment. The Saudis recently beheaded a man accused of sorcery. What’s the difference between the Islamic State and the Saudis? They both have lots of oil, terrorists and a penchant for beheading people, but the Saudis have better public relations.

Maybe when the Islamic State starts funding chairs at Georgetown and UCLA, and donating to the Clinton Global Initiative, it’ll start getting better press.

The Saudis can’t possibly be un-Islamic because the establishment’s official definition of Islam comes from them. Even the idea of denying that the Islamic State is Islamic is a Saudi strategy. But if Alton Nolen is un-Islamic then ISIS is un-Islamic and if ISIS is un-Islamic then Saudi Arabia is un-Islamic. And then Islam, whose holy book contains numerous verses calling for the brutal murder of non-Muslims, must also be un-Islamic.

Perhaps then there really isn’t an Islam. Or rather there are two Islams.

One is the oriental Unitarianism of the Western imagination whose practitioners are liberals with prayer rugs. The other is a grim relentless Jihad of murderous men who chant the Koran while severing heads. This is the Islam of the Arabian imagination. It is not always what it is, but to them it is the purity of what it should be.

The convert to Islam rarely becomes a liberal with a prayer rug. To become devout is to become more certain, not less certain. And that certainty ends in Jihad. It ends in a murder commanded by Allah.

The real Islam’s symbols carry powerful meanings. The beheading is the final and ultimate meaning. By killing non-Muslims in the name of Allah, its followers become Allah, they gain the power of life and death, to kill and enslave, to rob and rape; they become the murderous masters of creation.

When they say that “Allah made me do it” what they really mean is that the part of them that wants to kill, to rob and rape, to burn and kidnap, made them do it. By submitting to Allah, the Muslim becomes Allah. When he kills, it is Allah killing. His religion is reducible to his will to kill. This is ISIS. This is Islam.
It has nothing to do with the imaginary Islam of the liberal. It has everything to do with the real Islam.

Major Fail For Lib TV Panel Downplaying OK Beheading As Another Beheading Threat Surfaces

In one post, Nolen warned that Sharia law is coming to America.

Referring to the Oklahoma beheading suspect as a “gentleman,” MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry and panel over the weekend tried to downplay the potential terrorism aspect of the gruesome crime, calling it “workplace violence.” Harris-Perry — generally known as an apologist for the Left and a staunch defender of progressive political correctness — led a discussion that tried to persuade viewers of the insignificance of the suspect’s ties to Islam.
Since the beheading of a worker at a food processing plant in Moore, Oklahoma last week, it’s come to light that the alleged killer, 30-year-old Alton Nolen, is affiliated with a mosque in Oklahoma City and has numerous Facebook posts referencing Islam and jihad. In one post, Nolen warned that Sharia law is coming to America.

Nolen, who is recovering from a gunshot wound that stopped his murderous rampage, is expected to be charged today with first-degree murder.
Also over the weekend, it was reported that another Oklahoma man has been arrested for threatening to behead a co-worker. Via breitbart.com:
In what the local media is calling “a bizarre coincidence,” police arrested a fired Oklahoma City nursing home worker on Friday after he allegedly threatened to cut off a co-worker’s head.
Via The Oklahoman: Jacob Mugambi Muriithi, 30, is being held in the Oklahoma County jail on a terrorism complaint. His bail is set at $1 million.
“We take these threats very seriously,” Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said.
Muriithi, a native of Kenya, worked at Bellevue Nursing Home in northwest Oklahoma City, according to police. His arrest Friday coincided with the revelation that fired Vaughan Foods worker Alton Alexander Nolen/Jah’Keem Yisrael had beheaded a co-worker after he was fired the day before.

What we know about Alton Nolen, who has been charged with murder in the Oklahoma beheading case

By Abby Ohlheiser September 30 at 11:48 AM Follow @abbyohlheiser
Alton Nolen was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder and assault in the decapitation of a former co-worker at a processing plant in Oklahoma.
The gruesome nature of the attack coupled with the religious adherence of the suspect has attracted significant attention to the case, from well beyond the borders of Moore, a community previously known for a devastating EF5 tornado that killed more than two dozen people and destroyed 1,000 homes.
The beheading has also sparked endless speculation — not to mention considerable debate over what to call it.

Alton Nolen in March 25, 2013, photo provided by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. (Oklahoma Department of Corrections/Associated Press)
Here’s what we know about Nolen so far.
Nolen was fired just before the attack

Police say Nolen, 30, entered a Vaughan Foods processing plant shortly after being fired from the company on Thursday afternoon. He was fired just before the incident, in a separate building, after which he headed to the plant and attacked Colleen Hufford, 54. Nolen stabbed Hufford with a knife commonly used at the plant and “severed” her head from her body, according to police.
Nolen then attacked 43-year-old Traci Johnson, another employee, before he was stopped by the company’s chief operating officer, Mark Vaughan. Vaughan, a reserve deputy with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department, shot Nolen, stopping the attack. Both Nolen and Johnson were hospitalized.
Johnson was released from the hospital Saturday, after receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds. Nolen remains in stable condition.
It’s still not clear why Nolen was fired. According to CNN, a law enforcement official said Nolen told investigators that he felt “oppressed” at work, and that he wanted a raise. Another official told the cable network that Nolen was in trouble at Vaughan Foods for performance issues — and for trying to convert his co-workers to Islam.
    He has a criminal record

Nolen was convicted on drug charges, and for assault and battery of a police officer and escape from detention in 2011. He served two years of a six-year sentence before being released in 2013, according to Oklahoma Department of Corrections records.
Department of Corrections spokesman Jerry Massie told the Associated Press that Nolen earned an early release because of his good behavior (he had no misconduct reports during his time in prison) and for completing two programs aimed at teaching coping and transition skills to inmates before they re-enter society. Nolen also received credit for time served in a county jail before his conviction.
    Nolen is a Muslim convert

A Moore police spokesman told reporters last week that the department enlisted the help of the FBI because of Nolen’s religion, his recent proselytizing efforts and the nature of the crime. “Information was obtained that he recently started trying to convert several employees to the Muslim religion,” Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said in a statement on Friday.
The statement continued: “Due to the manner of death and the initial statements of co-workers and other initial information, the Moore Police Department requested the assistance of the FBI in conducting a background investigation on Nolan.”
State Department of Corrections records indicate that Nolen has a handful of religious tattoos, including one of an Arabic greeting that translates to “peace be upon you.” He also has a “Jesus Christ” tattoo and one of praying hands, according to the offender record.
His Facebook page — which a federal law enforcement official described to The Washington Post as “provocative” — featured, among other things, a photo of Osama bin Laden. The wide range of photos available on the page also included a depiction of a beheading, and several messages pertaining to Islam.
Nolen’s relatives told the Associated Press that the suspect grew up in a non-denominational, Christian church. It is believed he converted to Islam during his incarceration.
A prominent Muslim leader in the Moore area told the Oklahoman that several attendees of his mosque remember Nolen visiting for prayers. Saad Mohammad, a spokesman for the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, denounced Nolen’s attack, saying it went against the principles of Islam. “He is as far away from Islam as he can be,” Mohammad said.
Mohammad added that the Islamic Society stepped up security at the facility in the wake of Nolen’s workplace attack, as a precaution against any potential retaliation targeting their community.
The FBI is treating the case as “workplace violence”

Nolen’s religious adherence and the fact that the victim was beheaded have led some — including Texas Gov. Rick Perry — to question why law enforcement officials and the media have not called the attack a “terrorist” act.
“Any rational-thinking American,” Perry said Monday, “is going to look and this and go this is more than just normal workplace violence.” Similarly, a group of eight Oklahoma state House representatives calling themselves the “Counterterrorism Caucus” released a Monday statement using the beheading to call for a “public discussion about potential terrorists in our midst and the role that Sharia law plays in their actions,” as the Oklahoman reported.
However, the question here isn’t as simple as a hunch based on reported details. For instance, the FBI uses a specific definition of terrorism in its investigations. In order to be considered a terrorist act, an instance of violence must “appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping.”
This, presumably, is partly why the FBI is not currently treating the alleged attack as a terrorist act. Speaking to The Post, two federal law enforcement officials said the FBI was currently looking at the attack as an instance of workplace violence, and that there’s no indication Nolen was mimicking the recent beheadings carried out by the Islamic State.
The Post’s Mark Berman took a closer look at the debate over what to call attacks like this one.
    Nolen’s family is ‘in shock’

After the attack, Nolen’s mother and sister spoke out in a Facebook video message. “My heart is just so heavy right now,” his mother said. “I want to apologize to both families because this is not Alton.”
The attack, she said, was out of character for her son. “I know my son. My son was raised up in a loving home,” Joyce Nolen said. “My son was raised up believing in God. That’s what he believed.”
Karla Dunn, who grew up with Nolen and his younger siblings, said in an interview with KOCO that she remembers a younger Nolen as “very polite. He was, you know, very humble. His whole family was very polite, very humble.” She added, “He was really just a normal person.”
Nolen’s sister, Megan Nolen, said the family was “still in shock,” adding: “We’re praying for both of the victims’ families.”

    Interesting information....

Alton Nolen DOC record matches Jah'Keem Yisrael Facebook tattoo photos

    By Michael Bates on September 29, 2014 1:47 AM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Tattoo photos in the Facebook profile of someone calling himself Jah'Keem Yisrael matches tattoos named in the Department of Corrections record of Alton Alexander Nolen, the man eyewitnesses say beheaded a worker at a food processing plant in Moore, Oklahoma, on Thursday.

A number of websites uncovered the profile and suggested that it belonged to Nolen. Like Nolen, Yisrael graduated from Idabel High School and went to Langston University for college. The "selfies" in the profile strongly resemble the Oklahoma Department of Corrections mugshots of Nolen. But there has been some doubt, because the the profile uses "alton.threadgill" in the custom URL.

The Facebook profile shows an intensifying interest in Islam over the last year or so, praises Osama bin Laden, includes a cover photo of heavily armed Taliban, and praises sharia law and beheading.

But a photo in Jah'Keem Yisrael's August 15, 2010, Facebook post shows a man (apparently the owner of the Facebook profile) with arm tattoos that match the DOC's records for Nolen. (Click to see full size.) The left forearm shows the word "JUDAH" in script capitals. The right forearm shows a tattoo of praying hands.

The DOC record for Alton A Nolen, DOB 08/16/1984, lists the following "Body Marks":

    TAT ABDOM: NCIC AS-SALAAMU ATAIKUM
    TAT CHEST: NCIC JESUS CHRIST
TAT L ARM: NCIC RIP LIL KRIS, JUDAH
TAT R ARM: NCIC PRAYING HANDS
The gaps in Jah'Keem Yisrael's Facebook timeline match up with the DOC record. No posts from September 20, 2010, until August 23, 2012, when he writes, "Feelin So Gud 2 B N Da City At Da Halway House....At dis moment im walkin round wit my shirt off n boi boi lol Yeh jst got thru job untin and she said sho my chest." The tone of his posts is in that vein until April 3, 2013, when he posts, "Allahu Aikbar Allahu Aikbar....." After about October, the posts are almost exclusively Islamic-themed.

Another confirmation of the tattoo: In a February 5, 2014, post, Jah'Keem Yisrael writes that the Twelve Tribes of Israel are today black Africans, Latin Americans, and American Indians and says in a comment (evidently responding to someone whose comments are not visible to the public),

The true jews that's here in Amerika today known as the black man was sold to the white man by the Africans because we weren't from there. Were from Israel. The Roman persecution put an end to the biblical jews known as the tribe of Judah which is tatted on my left forearm lol.

Among the more alarming recent Facebook entries:

On March 7, 2014, Jah'Keem Yisrael posted a set of three photos, writing:

Sharia Law will takeover (aka) Allah swt Law -Matthew 5:30 Cut the hands off the thieves, Deuteronomy 22:23-24 Stone to death the adulters, Any woman showing her hair in public must be shaved off 1st Corithians 11:5-7.. If your against the Sharia Law your against God. Now you know what freedom u guys are fighting for.

    Islam is the true religion

    ****InfoFromAMuslim****

The photos include a man holding a newspaper headline, "Islam will dominate the world / Freedom can go to hell", a graphic photo of a decapitation, and a photo of a woman in white middle-eastern dress being whipped in public by a hooded figure in black. (Click the links to view a screenshot of these photos posted to Facebook. WARNING: Photos are graphic.) The caption embedded in the decapitation photo reads,

Thus do we find the clear precedent that explains the peculiar penchant of Islamic terrorists to behead their victims: it is merely another precedent bestowed by their << Prophet >>:

"I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." Qur'an 8:9-13

On the same date, he posted two more photos, one showing two boys prostrating themselves in prayer, the other showing four young boys in white head-coverings firing handguns.

    He wrote:

If Allah (swt) Blesses me with an child, This for sure will be his status!!!!!!!
On March 30, 2014, he posted a salute to Osama bin Laden, writing:

"Do not say that those slain in the cause of God are dead. (They are alive, but you are not aware of them)" (2:154). Osama Bin Laden (Salayi Wa Alayi Salaam Ameen)

The phrase in parentheses seems to be some form of the Arabic phrase meaning "Peace Be upon Him," a phrase often used in connection with Muhammad and other prophets.

Who is beheading suspect Alton Nolen?

Official: Nolen told investigators he felt oppressed at work -- particularly over not getting a raise

    By Michael Pearson CNN
    POSTED: 10:48 AM Sep 29 2014 UPDATED: 9:46 PM Sep 29 2014

New details about suspect in Oklahoma beheading

    (CNN) -

He calls himself Jah'Keem Yisrael on Facebook. But he grew up as Alton Nolen, a good kid raised in a loving home, said a woman who identified herself as the mother of the Oklahoma beheading suspect in an online posting.

Nolen, 30, is expected to be formally charged in last week's fatal attack at the Moore, Oklahoma, food processing plant from which he'd just been fired.

Police accuse him of beheading one woman and attacking another before being shot by the company CEO, also a reserve deputy. Nolen was in stable condition Monday.

Charges will include first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon, according to Jeremy Lewis, spokesman for the Moore police.

The spokesman said Nolen was cooperative and forthcoming with detectives.

"He wasn't trying to hide anything," Lewis told CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront."

Nolen allegedly told investigators that he felt oppressed at work -- particularly over not getting a raise, a law enforcement official said.

While his Facebook page included images of Osama bin Laden and an apparent beheading, there's no indication that Nolen was motivated by terrorism, a second law enforcement official said.

Whatever the motivation, the violent image was at odds with the one offered by those who said they were his sister, mother and friends -- none of whom said violence was part of his personality.

"My son was raised up in a loving home," the woman who identified herself as his mother said in a Facebook posting Sunday. "My son was raised up believing in God. My son was a good kid. I know what they're saying he done, but I'm going to tell you this: That's not my son."

The video was posted to the Facebook page of a woman named Megan Nolen, who said she was Alton Nolen's sister.

"Alton, my brother, he's always been a great person, a loving person," Megan Nolen said in the post. "He's always been a people's person, he's never been a violent person, so for something like this to have happened, we're all still in shock right now."

The brutal attack also seemed out of character to Karla Dunn, who was friends with Nolen's younger siblings, according to CNN affiliate KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.

"He was really just a normal person," Dunn told the station. "He was polite. If you asked him to do something, he did it. It was like no red flags actually that I could ever think of."

At some point, that no-red-flags life seems to have taken a turn. In 2006, CNN affiliate KOKI-TV in Tulsa reported, Nolen was arrested after a police officer saw him throw bags of crack cocaine and marijuana out a car window as he was being pulled over for traffic violations.

Out on probation in 2010, he was stopped for an expired tag when a trooper learned he had outstanding arrest warrants, KOKI reported. He struggled with the trooper, then escaped only to be arrested 12 hours later, the station reported.

In 2011, he was convicted on drug, resisting arrest and escape charges and sent to prison.

In online prison records related to that incident, authorities note that in addition to a "Jesus Christ" tattoo on his chest and praying hands on his right arm, he had the Arabic words for "peace be upon you" tattooed on his abdomen.

The Facebook page where Nolen posted under the name Yisrael -- confirmed by police to be his -- features a cover photo of fighters holding a machine gun and a rocket propelled grenade launcher.

It also features numerous messages related to Islam but offers no hint he was planning an attack or that it had anything to do with his religion. The law enforcement official who spoke to CNN on Monday said Nolen had watched beheading videos, but it was unclear if they were linked to ISIS.

And another law enforcement official told CNN on Monday that there was no indication of a link to terror.

Nolen's problems at work including getting in trouble for his performance and for trying to convert co-workers to Islam, the second official said.

While it's unclear when Nolen himself converted, his Facebook page abruptly changed from posts featuring song lyrics, talk about football and other topics to posts almost exclusively related to Islam in April 2013 -- shortly after he was released from prison.

Among the posts are screeds condemning the United States as "wicked" for failing to help Palestinians during the recent hostilities with Israel.

    His last post condemned masturbation.

CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. —The second victim who was stabbed in the Vaughan Foods plant attack Thursday had filed a complaint against the suspect that led to his suspension, according to court documents released Tuesday.

Detectives said Alton Nolen, 30, admitted to beheading Colleen Hufford and attempting to behead Traci Johnson.

According to court documents, Nolen, an employee of Vaughan Foods, was suspended Thursday following the investigation of a complaint that was submitted by Johnson.

Nolen left Vaughan Foods' human resources office and drove to his apartment and retrieved a large bladed knife that he placed in his shoe, police said.

He then returned to the business in Moore and walked into the office where Hufford was and cut her throat and beheaded her, according to detectives. Nolen then grabbed Johnson and cut her across her throat and the left side of her face with the knife, officers said.

An off-duty Oklahoma County reserve officer who works at Vaughan Foods then shot Nolen, according to court documents. Detectives said Nolen agreed to talk with them and admitted to beheading Hufford and attempting to behead Johnson.

Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn announced in a Tuesday news conference that he has charged Nolen with first-degree murder.

Nolen, who was shot several times, is expected to be released from the hospital as early as Tuesday. Monday afternoon, detectives met with the Cleveland County district attorney to go over what charges he will face.

Mashburn said Nolen was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

“He exploded out of the car, hit me in the chest and pushed me back," said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Betsy Randolph, who was assaulted by Nolen. "I lifted my hand up thinking my finger was gone."

After assaulting Randolph, Nolen went on the run and was captured 12 hours later. Looking back now, Randolph explained she wished she’d done things differently.

“I wish I’d have killed him,” shared Randolph.

He was released from prison in March 2013 and still is on parole.

Nolen was reportedly fired just minutes before he went on the rampage, police said.

In addition to the Moore police investigation of the incident, the FBI is also investigating. They are trying to determine if Nolen has ties to any Islamic terrorist groups. If such connections are found, federal charges could also be filed.

Prosecutor: Oklahoma man charged in beheading was out to get revenge

Oklahoma Department of Corrections / AP
This March 21, 2011, photo provided by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections shows Alton Nolen, of Moore, Okla. Prison records indicate that Nolen, the suspect in the beheading of a co-worker at an Oklahoma food processing plant Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, had spent time in prison and was on probation for assaulting a police officer.

NORMAN, Okla. — An Oklahoma man who had been suspended from his job was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder in the gruesome beheading of a co-worker, who was attacked from behind as the man sought revenge, a prosecutor said Tuesday.
Alton Nolen, 30, could face the death penalty for Thursday's deadly attack on Colleen Hufford, 54, at the Vaughan Foods plant in Moore. He also faces two assault charges.
The FBI is also investigating, given Nolen's interest in beheadings and a recent surge in Middle East violence. Nolen had recently converted to Islam but Cleveland County Prosecutor Greg Mashburn said it appeared the attack was tied more to Nolen's suspension.
Mashburn said Vaughan's human resources department had suspended Nolen earlier Thursday after another co-worker, Traci Johnson, had complained she had had an altercation with Nolen "about him not liking white people."
The prosecutor said Nolen grabbed a knife at home and "returned to get revenge." He walked into the plant's administrative office in suburban Oklahoma City and came across Hufford first, Mashburn said. According to the prosecutor, Nolen attacked Hufford from behind, severing her head, before turning his attention to Johnson, 43, who was repeatedly stabbed but survived.
The company's chief operating officer, Mark Vaughan, a reserve sheriff's deputy in Oklahoma City, leveled a rifle at Nolen and fired, striking him once and stopping the attack.
Mashburn said it was "highly likely" that he would seek the death penalty against Nolen, but would confer first with Hufford's family.
While the FBI is investigating, and while he believed Nolen may have been using Arabic terms during the attack, Mashburn said the attack seemed to be tied more to the complaints against him.
"It had more to do with race rather than trying to convert people," Mashburn said. He said there was a "back and forth with Ms. Johnson and that led her to make a complaint to the HR department."
At a news conference in Norman, the prosecutor said he would "vigorously prosecute" the murder charge but that it was more appropriate to leave any questions about a possible terrorism component to the FBI.
"There was some sort of infatuation with beheadings. It seemed to be related to his interest in killing someone that way," Mashburn said. "Other than that, it seemed to be related to his being suspended earlier in the day."
Nolen's mother and sister posted a video message on Facebook over the weekend saying they were shocked and saddened by the allegations against him.
"My son was raised up in a loving home. My son was raised up believing in God," his mother, Joyce Nolen, said in the video. "Our hearts bleed right now because of what they're saying Alton has done."
A cousin, 29-year-old James Fulsom, told The Associated Press that as recently as February, Nolen did not mention his conversion in conversations.
Oklahoma prison records show Nolen was released from prison in March 2013 after serving two years of a six-year sentence on charges that included assaulting a police officer and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Nolen received no misconduct reports during his incarceration at five separate facilities, Department of Corrections spokesman Jerry Massie said. Nolen completed his probation in March of this year.

Call Oklahoma beheading what it is: Terrorism

    • She says denying this avoids new realities in war on terror: It's online, can affect us at home
    • We risk tarnishing Muslim-Americans, overwhelmingly peace-loving, she says

(CNN) -- Colleen Hufford, 54, was beheaded by Alton Nolen during a surprise attack at a Vaughan Foods plant in Oklahoma last week, according to police. Thankfully, before the terrorist -- yes, terrorist -- could behead another victim, Traci Johnson, he was shot by the company's CEO, Mark Vaughan, who is also a deputy sheriff.

The terrorist survived. Hufford, a wife, mother, and grandmother, did not. Her husband of 25 years was outside Vaughan Foods that afternoon, waiting to pick her up as he did every day, when he learned she was the victim of a terrorist attack.

It was a terrorist attack, and everyone knows it. Why won't the government say so? The Washington Post reports that the FBI found "no indication that Alton Alexander Nolen was copying the beheadings of journalists in Syria by the Islamic State ... adding that they are treating this as an incident of workplace violence."

Workplace violence? You can't be serious! Oh wait -- the FBI must mean "workplace violence" as in the case of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the terrorist convicted in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that killed 13 people and left many more wounded. Oh yeah, I remember that extremist attack carried out by a "soldier of Allah" -- but that's just workplace violence. It doesn't mean anything that Hasan is writing letters from death row to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, begging to become a citizen of the self-procaimed Islamic State. Just a guy who got angry at work.

How dumb do you think we are? Fort Hood was an act of terrorism, the beheading of Hufford was an act of terrorism, and it's time the FBI, the President, and all of us started calling it that.

There are three reasons. First, it's important to give this barbaric crime the label it begs for -- not just because of the charges it should carry and the punishment that should be handed down, but because it's important, at every turn, to draw a very clear distinction between ISIS extremists and the silent majority of Muslims who are just as horrified as non-Muslim Americans

More than 100 Muslim clerics and scholars just condemned ISIS, outlining in 17 pages why ISIS' actions are an "offense to Islam, Muslims and to the entire world." They, too, are unfairly tarnished with every barbaric, terrorist act performed in the name of their religion.

Second, it's essential if we want to win the war on terror that we understand how technology has changed that war since 9/11.

President Obama admitted that the United States "underestimated" ISIS. And in his speech before the United Nations, he described ISIS as a "network of death" that must be defeated. I agree. And this "network of death" has managed to reach beyond the confines of Syria and the Middle East.

Officer: I wish I'd killed him

    Beheading suspect facing murder charge

Thanks to the barbaric beheading videos, ISIS is in our living rooms and our news feeds and on our minds. And that's exactly how ISIS wants it.

It makes those snuff videos precisely so we'll watch and talk about it, and so terrorists like Nolen will be inspired to perform acts of terrorism on U.S. soil. You can try to downplay the connection to ISIS by calling Nolen a lone wolf, a copy cat or a nut case, but there is evidence of a very real connection these lone wolves feel to terrorists, and we'd better stop ignoring it and passing it off as "workplace violence."

After ISIS beheaded Americans James Foley and Steven Sotloff and British aid worker David Haines, Algerian terrorists kidnapped and beheaded French hiker Herve Gourdel.

Just last month Australian authorities uncovered and stopped an alleged terrorist plot to kidnap a random person who would be beheaded in a "demonstration killing."

Nolen may not have been part of an active ISIS cell waiting around to make a coordinated strike, but he is a terrorist who sympathized with and was inspired by Islamic fundamentalist militants.

Just last week, an ISIS leader, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, released a 42-minute recorded speech directed toward "lone wolf" operations encouraging terrorists like Nolen. "Do not ask for anyone's advice and do not seek anyone's verdict, kill the infidel whether he is civilian or military."

I don't know if he watched this ISIS recruitment video, but apparently Nolen did watch beheading videos online. According to an article by Michael Daly in The Daily Beast, in March Nolen posted one to his Facebook page, under the pseudonym Jah'Keem Yisrael, with the caption:

"This do we find the clear precedent that explains the particular penchant of Islamic terrorists to behead their victims, it is merely another precedent bestowed by their Prophet." He also added a citation from the Quran: "I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers; smite ye about their necks." "Smite" means a heavy blow or stroke with a weapon. The terrorist who killed Colleen Hufford "smote" her neck when he cut it, reportedly with the same knife he used to slice produce when he worked at Vaughan Foods.

According to Daly, Nolen posted photos of Osama bin Laden, other jihadis, and the Twin Towers burning. The Christian Science Monitor reported he wrote: "She (the Statue of Liberty) is going into flames. She and anybody who's with her." He posted photos of a woman being flogged, Daly wrote, with the words "Islam will dominate the world.
    Freedom can go to hell."

There's nothing but evidence that Nolen was copying the ISIS beheadings in Syria. So let's drop the political correctness for once and call the Oklahoma beheading what it is -- terrorism.

Rick Perry: White House must address beheading

By KENDALL BREITMAN | 9/29/14 9:21 AM EDT Updated: 9/29/14 5:44 PM EDT

Rick Perry said on Monday that the Obama administration will have to address the beheading of an Oklahoma woman in what the Texas governor noted closely resembles an act of terrorism.

“At some point in time, the administration does have to address this as what is appears to many people that it is — and that is an act of violence that is associated with terrorism,” Perry said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

On Thursday, Alton Nolen, 30, allegedly attacked two women at a Vaughan Foods plant in Moore, Oklahoma. During the attack, one woman was beheaded. Investigators have discovered that Nolen had recently converted to Islam and had made radical Islamic comments on social media. According to two FBI officials who spoke to The Washington Post, the incident is being treated as an act of “workplace violence.”

“I think Americans are confused about what this is,” Perry said. “This is a clear case of an individual going in and doing something that does not meet their definition of ‘workplace violence,’ so I think any rational thinking American is going to look at this and go, ‘This is more than just normal workplace violence.’”

During the interview, Fox News’ Steve Doocy said that if the incident was not connected to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, after the group had released its own beheading videos, then “it’s the craziest connection ever.”

Perry said the act “seems to fall into that type of activity” but said to “give the appropriate time to really do the investigation to make sure that this is in fact the case.”

On Monday, Moore police officers will officially present murder and “other charges” against Nolen to the district attorney, according to The Associated Press.

The Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn held a press conference today offering new details in the case of Alton Nolen, the man accused of beheading and stabbing coworkers at Vaughan Foods in Moore, Okla.

Here are five new facts we learned from the press conference:
    1. Nolen confessed

Mashburn said Nolen confessed to the attack at Vaughan Foods.
    2. Nolen went home to get the knife before the attacks
After meeting with the company’s human resources officials, Nolen drove to his house to retrieve a knife to use in the attacks.

    3. Traci Johnson was targeted by Nolen
Nolen sought out Johnson whom Mashburn said had complained to company officials about him.

    4. Nolen charged at Mark Vaughan

Nolen was charging at Vaughan, the company’s chief operating officer and a reserve deputy sheriff, as Vaughan was shooting at Nolen, attempting to stop the attack.

    5. Colleen Hufford was attacked from behind

Mashburn said Nolen attacked Hufford from behind upon entering the warehouse.

Criminal charges were filed against Alton Nolen Tuesday morning following the gruesome acts that took place Thursday at Vaughan Foods in Moore.

Nolen, 30, was charged with first-degree murder with malice aforethought and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon in Cleveland County District Court.

According to the affidavit filed with the charges, Nolen, an employee at Vaughan's, had just been suspended due to a complaint at the business.

"He had been in an altercation at work earlier that day," said District Attorney Greg Mashburn.

Nolen left the human resources office, drove to his residence “for the sole reason to retrieve a large bladed knife” and then returned to the business with his knife in his shoe with the intention of assaulting an employee, the affidavit said.

Colleen Hufford, 54, was killed and Traci Johnson, 43, sustained several stab wounds. Nolen allegedly grabbed Hufford from behind during the incident and after decapitating her, moved to Johnson. Johnson was cut across the throat and left side of her face before Nolen was shot, the document states.

COO of Vaughan Foods Mark Vaughan, also an Oklahoma County Reserve officer, shot Nolen with a rifle. Nolen remains hospitalized under police guard and is expected to be arrested and jailed later this week.

Johnson was released from the hospital over the weekend.

Nolen openly admitted to beheading the first victim and attempting to behead the second victim with the knife he retrieved from his apartment, the affidavit said.

"We will fully prosecute each crime and make sure he gets held accountable," Mashburn said.

Because Nolen had been recently trying to convert his co-workers at Vaughan to the Muslim faith, the FBI was brought into the investigations. Mashburn said Tuesday the FBI is looking into Nolen's history and the relationship he would have to any groups.
