Airline safety

I hope this doesn't jinx our luck, but it seems we have been blessed with very few major airline crashes in the last few years.
I have flown only once since 2001, mostly because of medical reasons, but I admit I always feel a little nervous being on airlines.


The media is lately reporting on airport delays, which I have no problems with by the way. I hope our pilots and ground controllers do not become more interested in schedules over safety.

From what I read Denver International Airport has wierd stuff happening, but then again my tinfoil hat may need a little adjustment.

I go out of Colorado Springs. Why in the hell should I travel half way across the state just to fly out of an airport when I can grab a cab, go 6 miles to the airport to my south, catch a connection in, say Dallas, or Atlanta and fly out to a nice, beautiful, TROPICAL vacation spot (where it will be warm, sunny, palm trees, beach, beer.... more beer, rum, beer and well... you get the idea) --
