Haven't posted much lately,but for Rick, and dealing with booze, I reckon I'll force myself. As to mead, the question is a bit more complicated for me. I seem to recall trying the stuff, but at the time I was hardly what anyone would call a credible witness, so I'll have to take a pass on that one. I CAN say with certainty that I prefer beer ( vienna style lagers being my personal favorites, Negra Modelo, Killians for cheap), or about any non-poisonous liquid, to most store-bought wine, although Hubers here locally makes a heck of a good applejack and raisinjack (both of which came with a doozy of a hangover as well, as I recall). I don't drink much or often any more, having pretty well exhausted that particular exercise in my first 40 or so, but if it's to be anything other than a beer on a hot day, it'll probably have a worm in the bottle, need I say more? And as for the Renfair thing, first, I'd really like a pic of Rick in a doublet, just for comparison you know. We have something here, settlers days and the like, where people dress up in frontier garb and sometimes shoot black powder. As long as there's actual shooting and I can wear my jeans, it's cool.

i have a couple of renfest parody things i wrote up, when i track them down i'll post them up for everyone's reading enjoyment (or anger, if you happen to love renfests.)

1) People trying to push "Green" on us (there's even a new GREEN channel on cable)
2) People who are liberals'
3) people who seem to like socialism
4) people who like to re-enact the Civil War
5) People who like to re-enact the days of "Daniel Boone" (ref: Daniel Boone Festival, in Oct. in Knox Cty Ky.... lived through that as well).
6) Acting
7) Singing in public.
8) Riding a bicycle with those damned tights on.
9) Throwing beads at chicks who show their boobs (Ref: Martigras)
10) Women showing their boobs so you will throw beads at them.
11) Muslim Women and their Burkas - Trying to push time back several thousand years.
12) Sharia Law....

Shall I continue?

I didn't mean I OBJECTED to such things. I was merely commenting that there are certainly weirder things out there than RenFest... and to be honest, I've seen a lot of "boobage" there. lol
