I finished book 2 over the weekend. It was ok but not as good as the first. I'm 12% into the last book and while it shows some promise, I can only hope it improves over the second book.

I did DL castigo Cay and I will read it. His characters have a tendency to make me angry...like the Judge who awards custody to the mother after the mother's lesbian bull dyke girlfriend beats up the father and then blames the incident on the father. The judge says something like "We shouldn't expose the child to aggressive male tendencies when he can be brought up in a stable lesbian relationship". lol.

I did like that George Soros, I mean, Peter Arkinos was killed by a dive-bombing drone.

I guess my issue with the second book was that there weren't enough good guy wins. One can hope that this third book pokes fingers into eyeballs at a faster clip.

I felt the same way about book #2. LOL!

I could have sworn I read somewhere that Bracken did want to convey that the good guys don't always win with that book but maybe I'm imagining things.

I guess my other issue with book 2 is that "We can't find FBI Guy, so he must be in Sandy Eggo trying to kidnap his kid with a fugitive murderess"

    It's a bit of a stretch.

London Bridge Trading Assault Pack for $60 - http://lbtinc.com/vets13.html

Black or Tan. Free shipping. Only thing is there is no sheet frame but with some HDPE sheet, you can make your own pretty easy if you feel like you need one.

LBT is great gear. I have one of their sleep system carriers (picked up discount as surplus) and even for just a sleep system carrier it is great quality. For the quality of their gear, that's a pretty good price for the pack.

Keep in mind that it is an Assault/3-Day pack so it is about the size of a large regular backpack, not a big pack like the MOLLE II or ILBE/FILBE.

Yes, LBT most certainly not to be confused with LGBT.

    Another PSA deal!

You thought the $59.99 lowers were good? How about $49.99?

    http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...wer-safe-fire/

These are a little different in that they have a molded in trigger guard instead of a standard trigger guard. Not really much of a deal. My XCR has a molded in trigger guard. The hinged trigger guard is really only meant to allow use with a winter gloved hand but these molded in trigger guard are generally large enough to accomplish that. Only other thing of note is that these are labeled "Cal .223/5.56" instead of the more popular "Cal Multi" which could be an issue if changing calibers in some places depending on laws.

PSA has another $49.99 lower from the same manufacturer above - http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...ire-15163.html

This one has a standard trigger guard.

    Anyone need a 1911?

Mil Spec for $329 shipped: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...s_id/411539079

    Tactical for $345 shipped: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...%22+Parkerized

Bud's Gun Shop is a reliable place to buy from and Rock Island Armory is a good gun!

Also Bud's has 90 day layaway with 20% down and it counts as the advertised cash price.

They're made in the Philippines so that's likely why.

Check the reviews on them. They're considered a solid, reliable pistol.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to jump into 1911s with one myself.

Just curious, anyone seen any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals on 3.5" internal hard drives 3TB or larger? Preferably under $100 shipped.

If you didn't sign up for Palmetto's mailing list, here's their Black Friday sales section: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...ck-friday.html

Keep checking back regularly. They're adding more stuff and some stuff that shows up "Out Of Stock" has occasionally been replenished.

20% off AR500 steel body armor. Use code "BlackFriday".

It's a bit heavier than ceramic or poly but it works. Curved is preferable. You will need a Kevlar backer to deal with spall.
