J&G also has VERY cheap Tapco polymer AK magazines.
$4.99 to be exact.

Can't say I've ever seen anything bad about them but, with all the surplus steel AK mags out there, naturally these aren't as popular. I don't think they have steel reinforced feed lips or locking lugs though. Still, at that price...
Just want to preface this with the fact that I don't know anything about the vendor.
Philippine 1911 Tactical for $409 - http://grabagun.com/armscor-ri-tact-...5-bl-fc-1.html

Copes is good to go buying from.

I just picked up a Water Sterilization Bag (apparently you just dump water in it and it comes out sterilizedNope, not what it is. See thread in the Survival Forum on it...) but it ended up basically being a wash, the shipping ate up the discount.![]()

Cheap plate carrier for anyone in a more arid environment.
British Osprey plate carrier in their Desert DPM camo pattern, $55 - http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...aspx?a=1653700
I saw someone say you can dye it green and get decent results but I never saw any pics.
I'd take either set for my possible use at some point. I figure it like a boyscout principle, be prepared. Not saying hide and wait, as i live a life in public, but prepare for the worst and work toward the best. Note I did not use hope there. Hope is essential in many ways but it is also a way to control masses. Sit and hope. Work toward a goal.
Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet has 25% off your order AND free shipping all weekend!
ETA: Took advantage of the sale to pick up a 5 gallon field shower (perfect for camping!) and a couple miscellaneous pouches to finish off my stealth gun case/GHB.
London Bridge Trading Company running a Valentine's Day sale: http://lbtinc.com/vday14.html
Some good prices on a couple packs (vector can attest to the quality) and a couple of wheeled loadout bags at decent prices.
Palmetto State Armory has Vortex Strikefire and SPARC optics on sale.
Vortex SPARC - $150
Vortex Strikefire - $120
I have both and they're both good, budget optics plus if there's anything wrong with them, Vortex will take care of you!
Vermont Army Navy is running a 20% off order total and free shipping over $99. Sale is good through 2/17.
Palmetto has a "Six Mags and a Bag" sale on right now: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...and-a-bag.html
6 PMAGs and a 36" black, soft rifle case for $90. Reviews of the bag are very favorable.
Just got my Recover grips in the mail today.
I opened it, eager to put it on my 1911, and was greeted to this...
I emailed a contact at Recover and had a reply within the hour. They're sending me a replacement set.
Impressions of the one good piece... Feels a little on the light side material-wise but it may be a bit deceptive as it probably works best when paired with the other side. I did note there was a little excessive plastic flashing around some of the edges (you can see this in the full-size pic) but, it didn't look like it would affect anything and wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed with a little work with a razor.
Also, putting it up to my Rock Island 1911, I noticed a few small gaps here and there between it and the firearm. I suspect that's only because they've made it universal for most 1911s and have to take into account some slight dimensional differences between manufacturers.
To be fair, this isn't a thorough review since this is only me looking at the one good piece that was in the shipment. My initial impressions still bear out that this is a highly cost effective solution for adding a rail to a non-railed 1911.
Not a special sale per se but a good price on some portable water storage.
Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet recently had some used 5 gallon military water cans on sale for $17. When I looked at the listing on their site, I saw they only had 2 left and decided to go ahead and buy the remaining 2. With shipping, it ended up being just over $50, from Columbus, OH no less (I really hate their shipping costs).
I then found out you can get these brand new for about the same price.
Olive Drab 5 Gallon Water Can
Tan 5 Gallon Water Can
Just purchase $50 and you get free shipping.
These are the exact same cans as the ones I bought from USRO.
They are very thick plastic. Much thicker than your standard Blitz gasoline cans so no worry about easily puncturing them. More comparable to the plastic in 55 gallon barrels you'll find out there. They have a screw vent and a smaller screw on cap for controlled pouring. They work real well!
Since mine were used, I washed them out with bleach water and let a bleach solution sit in them for a few days. Filled them up with water and treated the water with a teaspoon of bleach. No need to do that with these new ones though treating the water for long term storage couldn't hurt.
Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet is having a 30% sale on Cold Weather Gear through April 7: http://www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com/category-s/372.htm
Most of their cold weather clothing is decent gear but in oddball sizes. However, one of the things included in the category is the Portable Field Shower.
I was impressed enough with the one I bought previously during their camping gear sale I decided to pick up another with this sale.
Normal price on the shower is $24.99. With the sale you'll save $7.50 making it $17.49. It is most certainly worth that price. It is made of a very heavy duty rubber that is designed to heat up the water with solar heating which it claims it will do even in overcast conditions.
With it at that price, if that's all you get, you'll qualify for the $5 flat shipping for orders under $20. If you get 2 you'll qualify for the $7 flat rate shipping for orders under $50.
Centerfire has VEPR semi-auto 12ga shotguns, already in "converted" configuration, for $800 shipped.
That's a really great deal! That's only a little bit more than I've got in my converted Fury and you don't have to worry about all the work and headache. These also have magazine wells and there are available options for magazines.
They've also got some Shooters Arms 1911s for $350 but I've never heard of Shooters Arms and don't know anything about them. ETA: Just did some quick looking. They are made by another Philippines manufacturer but I saw people saying their quality isn't as good as Armscor/Rock Island/Citadel.
