This is everything you need to build a rifle except the receiver. Actually, you will need a rear sight or optic of some sort but other than that the kit is complete.

A complete upper is typically in the $300-$450 range alone. The bolt carrier group is typically another $150-$200. Then the various other parts like the grip, stock, charging handle, etc. needed to finish it off would probably come to, at a minimum, roughly another $75-$100.

So, with the lower and the parts kit I linked, you can put yourself together a complete AR for just under $600! That's a really great deal! It's not going to be anything to write home about but you'll have a nice, solid shooter.
