i do the same deletes on my sites as well, there are so many spam accounts that get created it ain't funny.

It is not an automated deletion process. The board is set up to periodically notify 0 post users that it is possible the account could be deleted if we go through and "clean house".

And if that is a direct copy and paste of the message, it looks like I need to go and clean up the grammar of whoever wrote it!

I'm a sailor. I keep track of the hours for the resume.

I'm planning a trip to BVI in a few months and shooting for a 40ish boat, have a crew already and we're going to island hop for a few days. ONCE I do that - then I will probably stop counting hours.

It's all about "How big a boat can you handle, and how well can you handle the bigger boat" for me. The wife and I want to eventually retire to a 40' boat and we're working toward that goal so each thing is a step in that direction.

Well, we're glad you're here.

You're probably one of a very few that would consider this a "great site". I've found that too many of the people I dealt with over there, CF and the other site were closed minded, arrogant people who think that there's no need for security, classification or even personal protection.

It is really too bad that people live in some kind of a fantasy world that prevents them from keeping an open mind about the real dangers of this world.

I'm not saying they shouldn't ENJOY life, or be happy... only "aware". Most do not "get it".

I don't think that it's a matter of not caring - I think they are just hoping someone ELSE will watch out for them. It ain't gonna happen...and that's why I'm here checking in on what's REALLY going on as often as I can.

Problem is this... it is people like ME who watch out for others. I check on my neighbors, I know what's going on around me. I call the cops if necessary, and I stepped in front of a car on Friday afternoon with a basket because some asshole was doing 40mph in the parking lot and nearly took out a couple of old ladies.

I don't understand where people think it ISN'T our job to help and protect others.

Careful there. I've heard of several people who have "accidently" lost their "registered" guns overboard while fishing. Usually in REAL deep water too...
