(CNSNews.com) -- Eighty percent of Muslim Americans approve of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president, according to a newly released survey conducted by the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, a partnership between Gallup and the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.
According to the survey, 65 percent of Jewish Americans approve of the job Obama is doing; 60 percent of atheists, agnostics, and those of no religion approve; 50 percent of Catholics approve; 37 percent of Protestants approve and 25 percent of Mormons approve.
Although published this month, the survey of Muslim Americans was actually completed on April 9. (In Gallup’s overall polling in the week that ended April 10, Obama’s approval was at 45 percent, slightly higher than the 42 percent it hit last week.)
Obama’s approval among Muslim Americans has declined since 2009 but still remains far higher than the approval President George W. Bush’s won among Muslim Americans in 2008. In that year, only 7 percent of Muslim Americans said they approved of the job Bush was doing.
In 2009, 84 percent of Muslim Americans said they approved of the job Obama was doing. That dropped to 78 percent in 2010 and then rose to 80 percent this year.
The Abu Dhabi Gallup Center says it interviewed 3,883 self-identified Muslim Americans between Jan. 1, 2008 and April 9, 2011 to get its polling trends in that community. The interviews were part of Gallup’s ongoing polling of at least 1,000 American adults 350 days per year.

Obama to host iftar dinner at White House to celebrate Ramadan

Continuing a tradition first started by one of the nation’s Founding Fathers, President Obama will host an iftar dinner Wednesday evening at 8:30 in the State Dining Room to celebrate the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The president is no stranger to the sunset fast-breaking meal – he likely attended many as a boy in Indonesia – but Wednesday’s event comes with a star-studded guest list and an agenda: reaching out to an important, and often embattled constituency.
#5 What’s the purpose of Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calender and a time during which 1.7 billion Muslims around the world – including 2.5 million in the US – observe an obligatory fast from dawn until sunset. It was in Ramadan that the Koran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, an event Muslims mark by fasting, reading the Koran, performing additional prayers, and giving in charity.
The Arabic word for fasting, sawm, means "to refrain," and Muslims believe the entire body fasts during Ramadan – the tongue from backbiting, the eyes from seeing unlawful things, and the ears from listening to gossip or obscene language, for example. As such, Ramadan acts as a month-long exercise in discipline, cleansing, and refocusing one’s attention on worshipping God.
#4 What is Iftar?
Each day of Ramadan, millions of fasting Muslims eagerly await iftar, the evening fast-breaking meal. Muslims break their fast at sunset, usually with a date and a glass of water – a tradition that goes back to Muhammad – followed by an assortment of cultural dishes.
The iftar meal is usually made with family and friends, often at home, sometimes in the mosque. As the hunger pangs of fasting Muslims are meant to be a stark reminder of those without food and material comforts, Muslims are also instructed to feed needy members of the community during iftar.
#3 Who started the White House iftar event?
Believe it or not, Thomas Jefferson hosted the first White House iftar. Mr. Obama referred to that historic iftar when he hosted his own White House iftar dinner in 2010.
“Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been a part of America,” Obama said. “The first Muslim ambassador to the United States, from Tunisia, was hosted by President Jefferson, who arranged a sunset dinner for his guest because it was Ramadan – making it the first known iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago.”
The actual dinner took place precisely at sunset on Dec. 9, 1805, for Sidi Soliman Mellimelli, Tunisia’s Muslim envoy to the United States, who was visiting Washington for six months regarding a piracy dispute.
Though the practice quickly fell out of favor, first lady Hillary Clinton rekindled the tradition in 1996 by hosting a dinner to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of Ramadan. And under President George W. Bush, the White House iftar became an annual ritual. Mr. Bush hosted eight iftar dinners during his eight years in office in an effort to reach out to Muslim Americans and emphasize that America was not at war with Islam.
#2 Who’s on the guest list?
The Obamas are expecting about 120 guests, including elected officials, religious and grassroots leaders in the Muslim-American community, and leaders of other faiths.
Word already leaked that Arizona Cardinals safety Hamza Abdullah and Minnesota Vikings safety Husain Abdullah were excused from practice to attend the White House iftar. The brothers drew national attention last year for fasting from food and drink throughout Ramadan (which coincides with National Football League training camps), a challenge for athlete on long, hot days.
“I’m still in shock over it,” Hamza Abdullah told the Arizona Republic. “I’m still waiting to get to the airport and they say, ‘OK, it’s fake.’ ”
Other guests include Rep. Keith Ellison (D) of Minnesota, the first Muslim elected to Congress, and Rep. André Carson (D) of Indiana, who is also Muslim.
Attendees in past iftars have included Dalia Mogahed, the director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies; Farah Pandith, the State Department’s special representative to Muslim communities; Ambassador Akber Ahmed, a professor of Islamic studies at American University; and Ingrid Mattson, the director of the Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations at the Hartford Seminary in Connecticut.
#1 Why is Obama's event particularly significant to Muslim Americans?
In the minds of many American Muslims, Wednesday’s iftar no doubt marks a significant triumph, especially with Obama as its host.
When Obama delivered his inaugural address 2-1/2 years ago, Muslims felt they had helped elect someone who understood them and would work to repair relations with Muslims across the globe, says John Esposito, director of the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in Washington.
“His election was very transformational for many Ameican Muslims,” says Professor Esposito. “They could identify with him on multiple levels – he had lived in Indonesia, a Muslim country, his father and stepfather came from a Muslim background ... then of course, from his inauguration to his first international address in Cairo, he showed an attention to Muslims that other presidents hadn’t.”
Those feelings are reflected in a recent Gallup poll, which shows Obama’s 2008 election was a transformational event for Muslims in America and across the world. Muslim Americans give Obama an 80 percent approval rating in the poll, the highest of any religious group. (At 65 percent, American Jews are a distant second.) By contrast, the approval rating for Bush, who started the annual White House iftar tradition, was 7 percent in 2008.
“The gestures he’s made demonstrate a sense of respect for Islam and Muslims and a knowledge of the tradition and issues,” Esposito continues. “All of those things have reinforced a sense of identification, which was doubly reinforced after Bush proved to be disappointing.”

At the Iftar dinner, a White House sponsored Ramadan event, President Obama says "Islam has always been part of our American family." Obama also says "this has been especially true over the past 10 years," referring to the attacks on September 11, 2001. Here's what he said:

Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) — Even U.S. President Barack Obama took notice of them. Now, New Yorkers may do, too, as the Arab world’s first superheroes make their screen debut at the New York Film Festival.
Naif Al-Mutawa yesterday presented “THE 99,” his series starring supernatural characters. His creations have also appeared as comics, alongside Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. They are based on the 99 attributes of Allah mentioned in the Koran, such as wisdom, generosity and tolerance.
Batina, which stands for the Hidden, is a Burqa-wearing character from Yemen, while Hazel-eyed Widad, or the Loving, has long lustrous brown hair and originates from the Philippines.
The giant Jabbar, or the Powerful, is a native of Saudi Arabia and resembles the Hulk. His sneeze can bring down a house and his touch can shatter a brick. These are some of Al-Mutawa’s heroes on a mission to conquer evil.
“It was about creating positive role models for my kids that are based on our culture but are universal in nature,” Al- Mutawa says in an interview. “It doesn’t matter what religion you are, it doesn’t matter if you have a religion — they are basic human values.”
The 40-year-old clinical psychologist from Kuwait says he came up with the idea in 2003 while in a London cab. It’s all about “secularizing religious content”, he says. Western heroes such as Batman and Superman are based on biblical archetypes, and he wanted to create the same from the Muslims’ holy book, he says.

Twin Towers
It was also an attempt to alter the global perception of Islam, following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center’s twin towers in New York in 2001. The comics have made a “dent” in how the religion is perceived globally, he says.
“If you get bitten by a snake you become afraid of rope,” Al-Mutawa says. “Our message keeps getting tied to bombs and guns. My thinking was if I go back to the same place where the bad guys pulled their messages and in their place put tolerant multicultural messages, they just become bad guys with bad ideas and you delink them from the religion.”
In his April 2010 speech at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship in Washington, Obama praised “THE 99” and its creator for spreading tolerance, saying the comic books were “most innovative” and “captured the imagination of so many young people.”
Prisoner Torture
Al-Mutawa, who has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, worked with former prisoners of war in Kuwait and survivors of political torture at in Bellevue Hospital in New York. Helping people who have been prosecuted because of their religious and political beliefs led him to the project.
“I heard too many stories of people growing up to idealize their leaders as heroes only to be tortured by them,” Al-Mutawa says in an interview in Dubai before travelling to New York.
A total of 26 half-hour episodes was created out of Al- Mutawa’s comics with the help of entertainment company Endemol, a writer in Hollywood, and production by a U.K. company and India’s Sanraa Media. The sequence of four TV series, which are being translated into various languages, is showing in New York.
Discovery Channel bought the rights for the series in the U.S., Cartoon Network in Asia and MBC in the Middle East.
Like all superheroes, there’s a big market for merchandise. Al-Mutawa is looking for the right partners to create a feature film and games. The first theme park based on the characters was developed in Kuwait and talks are continuing on a second park in an Arab Gulf country, he says, declining to be more specific.
Promoting the series, let alone making a feature film, will not be the easiest task for Al-Mutawa, who said he was accused of radicalizing kids and trying to spread shari’ah law through “THE 99.”
Wearing jeans and a black jacket, he speaks at an art gallery showing his TV shows before the festival. With a documentary film on the making of “THE 99” planned for release on Oct. 13 in the U.S., Al-Mutawa says he hopes people will realize “we are not the bad guys.”

Multiple reports now circulating of President Obama quickly taking the side of Muslims against American soldiers who were simply following orders to remove and burn materials taken from terrorist detainment cells in Afghanistan – including already defaced copies of the Koran.
While there exists an argument that Barack Obama is simply hoping to diffuse the agitation among Afghans that the destruction of some copies of the Koran has caused – that argument falls short of explaining the aggressive tone the Commander in Chief so quickly took against the very American soldiers his administration so often uses as political props when the opportunity presents itself to the Obama re-election campaign. Those soldiers were simply following orders – and initial reports are already suggesting those copies of the Koran that were destroyed had already been defaced by the captured terrorists who were using them to communicate to each other – sharing the Koran within the prison facility:
A military official said the materials were removed from the detainee center’s library because they had “extremist inscriptions” on them and there was “an appearance that these documents were being used to facilitate extremist communications.
That information – which certainly the president is aware of, did little to lessen his promise to Muslims that he would seek out and punish those Americans responsible:
I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident,” Obama wrote. “I extend to you and the Afghan people my sincere apologies.”
The president concludes the letter: “The error was inadvertent; I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible.”
What an honor and privilege it must be for those soldiers to serve this Commander in Chief who so quickly turns against them in order to seek favor among the very enemies those soldiers are directed to defeat. And don’t forget – it was not so long ago that senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett – the same one who political insiders deem the defacto president within the Obama White House, told a high ranking U.S. military officer to go fetch her another drink during an exclusive D.C. dinner party.

President Barack Obama and Turkey’s controversial Islamist prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan have become such bosom buddies that Erdogan is giving Obama advice on raising his American daughters.
Obama, who met with Erdogan March 25 at the nuclear summit in South Korea, has already met with Erdogan numerous times. He touted their relationship as a “friendship” in a January interview that was hyped by Erdogan’s press allies.
The two met in South Korea on Sunday, Eastern Time, to discuss Syria’s civil war and Iran’s nuclear weapons program, but they also talked about the president’s two daughters, Malia and Sasha, Obama said during a press conference, according to a White House statement.
“The bottom line is that we find ourselves in frequent agreement upon a wide range of issues… [and] because he has two daughters that are a little older than mine — they’ve turned out very well, so I’m always interested in his perspective on raising girls,” Obama said.
One of Erdogan’s two daughters, Sumeyye, is entering Turkish politics via her father’s Islamist party, according to the Turkish press.
She wears Islamist-style clothes that obscure her hair and shape.
In Sept. 2010, the then-29 year old met with her father and U2 singer Bono while wearing a scarf that covered her hair and throat, long-sleeves that covered her forearms and a baggy overcoat that hid her figure.
In Feb. 2011, Sumeyye attended a meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York while wearing a tight head-scarf that hid her hair and throat. She was accompanied by Erdogan’s wife, Ermine, who wore a head-to-toe black cloak.
Obama’s daughters, 13 year-old Malia and 10 year-old Sasha, dress far more liberally in typical American fashion.
The first lady, Michelle Obama, is a feminist and does not wear head scarves or throat scarves and often leaves her arms bare.
By openly acknowledging Erdogan’s advice on child-rearing, Obama “didn’t realize what he’s saying,” said Barry Rubin, an expert on Turkish politics.
Obama likely made the error, Rubin said, “because he is so unselfconscious and is not used to having to think through his remarks.”
Still, “it is shocking that [Obama suggests] he takes child-raising advice from a radical Islamist,” whose wife dresses in black cloaks or tight headscarves when traveling in the West, said Rubin.
Overall, the White House statement about the meeting “goes beyond polite praise and good manners and practically slobbers over a repressive, pro-Iran leader whose hatred for Israel is literally hysterical,” said Rubin.
The White House statement included statements by both Obama and Erdogan, but no press questions.
“I just want to say how much I appreciate the opportunity to once again meet with my friend and colleague, Prime Minister Erdogan … I find Prime Minister Erdogan to be an outstanding partner and an outstanding friend on a wide range of issues,” Obama began.
Erdogan responded to Obama by saying, “My dear friend, Barack, thank you very much for a very fruitful meeting today,” and then sketched out his plans to visit Iran’s theocratic government this week and to arrange a U.S-Turkey summit in June, before he ended with the comment that, “I also told you about my daughters.”
Over the last decade, Erdogan has pushed Turkey in an Islamist direction, rolling back the country’s secular laws — including laws that curb the wearing of Islamist headscarves — jailing many journalists, cooperating with Iran’s theocracy, spurring hostility towards Israel and demanding Israel apologize for forcibly stopping a May 2010 Islamist flotilla that was launched from Turkey.
In January 2009, he angrily walked out of a public event with Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres after accusing Israel of attacking Arabs and killing Arab children.
In contrast, Obama told Newsweek in January that Erdogan is one of five foreign leaders with whom he shares “friendships and the bonds of trust.”
“I think that if you ask them, [Germany’s] Angela Merkel or [Indian] Prime Minister Singh or [Korea’s] President Lee or [Turkey’s] Prime Minister Erdogan or [U.K.] David Cameron would say ‘We have a lot of trust and confidence in the President … We think he’s paying attention to our concerns and our interests,’” he told Newsweek interviewer Fareed Zakaria.
Unlike George W. Bush, Obama frequently mentions his daughters at political events.
During the South Korea trip, for example, he twice cited his daughters during a speech about nuclear weapons policy that took place Monday morning Korean time, or Sunday evening ET.
He told the audience that he had not used a social-media network to anonymously praise himself, adding “maybe my daughters have.”
He also used his two daughters to buttress his campaign-trail criticism of Rush Limbaugh after the radio personality had ridiculed an activist law student for demanding that a Catholic university pay for her birth-control services. “I thought about Malia and Sasha … I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way… I don’t want them attacked or called horrible names because they’re being good citizens,” Obama said at White House March 6.
In June 2011, Obama told NBC that, “I could not ask for better kids … I’m not anticipating complete mayhem for the next four, five years [although] I understand teenage-hood is complicated.”
However, he added, “I should also point out that I have men with guns that surround them often.”

NEW YORK – As a student at Harvard Law School, then-bachelor Barack Obama’s practice of wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger puzzled his colleagues.
Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.
Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no God except Allah.”
Sincere recitation of the Shahada is the sole requirement for becoming a Muslim, as it expresses a person’s rejection of all other gods.
Egyptian-born Islamic scholar Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D., examined photographs of Obama’s ring at WND’s request and concluded that the first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it.
“There can be no doubt that someone wearing the inscription ‘There is no god except Allah’ has a very close connection to Islamic beliefs, the Islamic religion and Islamic society to which this statement is so strongly attached,” Gabriel told WND.
“Dreams from My Real Father” producer Joel Gilbert, an Arabic speaker and an expert on the Middle East, was the first to conclude that Obama’s ring, reportedly from Indonesia, bore an Islamic inscription.
Photographs published last week by the New Yorker from Obama’s time at Occidental College, taken by fellows students, indicate that the ring Obama wore three decades ago is the one he is wearing in the White House.
Barack Obama
As WND reported in July, previously published photos have shown Obama wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger continuously from 1981 at Occidental, through graduation at Columbia in 1983, in a visit to Africa in 1988 and during his time at Harvard from 1988 to 1991. But none, until now, have displayed the ring with enough detail to identify it as the one he currently is wearing.
WND reported a satirical edition of the Harvard Law Review published by students in 1990 contains a mock Dewers Scotch profile advertisement poking fun at Obama. Among a list of Obama’s “Latest Accomplishments” is: “Deflecting Persistent Questioning About Ring On Left Hand.”
The comment suggests the ring was a subject of student curiosity at the time and that Obama was not forthcoming with an explanation.
He still has not explained why he wore the band on his wedding-ring finger before he married Michelle.

Gabriel, born to Muslim parents in Upper Egypt, grew up immersed in Islamic culture. He memorized the Quran at age of 12 and graduated in 1990 with a Masters degree from the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo, the preeminent Sunni Muslim institution of learning.
He explained that on Obama’s ring, the declaration “There is no god except Allah” (La Ilaha Illallah) is inscribed in two sections, one above the other.
On the upper section, “There is no god” is written in Arabic letters, from right to left: Lam, Alif, Alif, Lam, Ha.
On the lower section is “except god,” written in Arabic letters from right to left: Alif, Lam, Alif, Alif, Lam, Lam, Ha.
In the lower section, the word “Allah” is written partially on top of the word “except,” noted Gabriel, the author of “Islam and Terrorism” and “Journey Inside the Mind of an Islamic Terrorist.”
It is common in Islamic art and Arabic calligraphy, especially when expressing Quranic messages on jewelry, to artfully place letters on top of each other to fit them into the allotted space.
The exhibit below shows how the Arabic inscription fits over the two parts of the Obama ring.

‘First-rate accent’
In an interview during the 2008 presidential campaign, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof questioned Obama about his Islamic education in Indonesia, where he lived from 1967 to 1971.
After acknowledging that he once got in trouble for making faces during Quran study classes in his elementary school, Obama recited for Kristoff the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, the Adhan.
The prayer incorporates the Shahada, the expression of Islamic faith, with each line repeated twice:
Allah is supreme! Allah is supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet
Kristof noted Obama recited the prayer in Arabic “with a first-rate accent.”
“In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as ‘one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset,’” Kristoff wrote.
Gabriel told WND that a person wearing a ring with “There is no God except Allah” demonstrates the significance of Islam in his life.
“Christians never use the statement,” he pointed out. “By wearing the Shahada on jewelry, a person communicates that Allah is in control of all circumstances. Allah controls you; Allah is the one and only one.”
Obama, who attended Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago for two decades, has repeatedly insisted he is a Christian.

‘Blessed statement in Islam’
Gabriel emphasized the importance of the Shahada in the profession of faith in Islam.
“Muslims recite the Shahada when they wake up in the morning and before they go to sleep at night,” he said. “It is repeated five times every day in the call to prayer in every mosque. A single honest recitation of the Shahada in Arabic is all that is required for a person to convert to Islam.”
Gabriel believes it would be impossible for Obama not to be aware of what is written on the ring, calling it a “blessed statement in Islam.”
“By wearing this religious statement on one’s hand, it connects the person to Islam,” he said. “It is worn in hopes that Allah’s protections would be with the person, in hopes of gaining favor with Allah.”
He affirmed that Muslim men do wear gold rings, despite prohibitions in Islamic law.
“Though Islamic law prohibits the wearing of gold jewelry by men, it is a widely accepted custom, even in strictly Muslim countries,” he said. “The wearing of gold rings is even more acceptable when it contains a religious message, such as ‘There is no god except Allah.’”
He noted there is also widespread acceptance of men wearing gold jewelry in non-Arab Islamic societies such as Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Pakistan, where Muslims generally understand that Muslims are subject to strong influences of local non-Arab cultures.
“Therefore, even though technically prohibited, a Muslim man wearing a gold ring is not looked down upon, especially if the jewelry reflects a love of Islam and a connection to Islamic society,” he said. “An even greater level of acceptance is for businessmen who deal with infidels, because such a person would be regarded as a person of influence.”
“Now we have a new context for what Obama meant when he told the Islamic audience in Cairo that he has ‘known Islam on three continents,” Gilbert said. “He also told the Cairo audience that he considered it part of his responsibility as president of the United States ‘to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.’
All religious Muslims are by definition required to defend Islam.”

The Obama wedding ring
The ring was mentioned in a New York Times article in 2009 recounting the Obamas’ wedding.
In the story, Jodi Kantor described its “intricate gold design,” noting it came from Barack Obama’s boyhood home of Indonesia and was not traditional, like Michelle’s.
Kantor wrote:
Just before the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. pronounced Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson man and wife on the evening of Oct. 3, 1992, he held their wedding rings – signifying their new, enduring bonds – before the guests at Trinity United Church of Christ. Michelle’s was traditional, but Barack’s was an intricate gold design from Indonesia, where he had lived as a boy.
There was no mention in the article that Obama already had been wearing the ring for more than a decade.

Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.
Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: ‘There is no God except Allah.’
The Shahada is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, expressing the two fundamental beliefs that make a person a Muslim: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s prophet.
Sincere recitation of the Shahada is the sole requirement for becoming a Muslim, as it expresses a person’s rejection of all other gods.
Egyptian-born Islamic scholar Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D., examined photographs of Obama’s ring at WND’s request and concluded that the first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it.
‘There can be no doubt that someone wearing the inscription ‘There is no god except Allah’ has a very close connection to Islamic beliefs, the Islamic religion and Islamic society to which this statement is so strongly attached,’ Gabriel told WND.
‘Dreams from My Real Father’ producer Joel Gilbert, an Arabic speaker and an expert on the Middle East, was the first to conclude that Obama’s ring, reportedly from Indonesia, bore an Islamic inscription.

Barack Obama with “Mama Sarah,” his step-grandmother
Since his inauguration, President Obama’s family in Kenya has been on a mission to use the Obama name to transform Kenya from the nation’s current Christian majority to an Islamic majority that will spread Islamic law, or Shariah, through the country.
Arab researchers Walid and Theodore Shoebat have documented the claims in a special report that translates an explosive television interview never before seen in the West.
In the interview, Musa Ismail Obama, President Obama’s first cousin in Kenya, told the Arabic-language satellite TV network Al-Jazeera that the Saudi Arabian royal family has developed a strong relationship with the Obama family in their home village of Kogelo in Alego, Siaya District, West Kenya.
Musa took pains to explain the need to proselytize Islam in Kenya, which is in line with the desire of wealthy Saudis to transform Kenya into a majority Muslim country.
Walid Shoebat pointed out that an article in the Arabic-language newspaper Al-Arab acknowledged the importance of the Obama name to the efforts of the Kenya family to expand the position of Islam in the country. Shoebat noted the article describes President Obama as a Muslim, referring to “President Obama’s Islamic faith.”

“After President Obama was inaugurated, the Muslim side of the Obama family in Kenya boomed, and it went from rags to riches overnight,” the Shoebats write in their report. “They became one of the most influential families in western Kenya and even extended their fundraising empire to Saudi Arabia.”
Musa, in the TV interview, said the Saudi royal family invited him and Sarah Obama to be their personal guests to the Hajj, the obligatory Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. They were given with red-carpet treatment at the Saudi royal court, complete with a special security escort.

In partnership with the Saudi royal family, the Obama family in Kenya has devised a plan to follow President Obama’s call for education in the United States with a project to expand education in Kenya, with the special twist of expanding Islam in the African nation and establishing Islamic law.
The foundation raises 90 percent of its funds from donors in the United States and Europe, solicited as humanitarian aid for orphans and underprivileged children, including children affected by HIV/AIDS.
The Shoebats note, however, that in the “shocking interview,” Musa Ismail Obama disclosed “all the troublesome detail that typically gets hidden in an English translation.”
The bulk of the Sarah Fund, as it turns out, goes not to widows and orphans but to provide scholarships to study Shariah at the most influential Wahhabist centers in Saudi Arabia.”
“It’s all a jihadi Kenyan scam,” commented Walid Shoebat. “And it’s not as though President Obama is unaware of his Kenyan family workings, since Musa on Al-Jazeera disclosed that President Obama’s favorite uncle, Sayid Hussein Obama, was selected by Obama and by the family in Kenya to act as the main conduit in relaying the family’s activities to the White House.”
Sayid accompanied Sarah to Washington, D.C., in January 2009, to attend Barack Obama’s inauguration.

“Musa, Sayid’s sidekick, has become the public promoter of Mama Sarah’s non-profit and the family’s key advertiser to the social efforts in Kenya,” Walid explained. “Musa carefully selects specific Arab media on which to appear, seeking venues where he can ask wealthy Islamic audiences for financial assistance.”
As a precondition of granting interviews, Musa insists that no questions will be asked regarding any details of family communications with President Obama and that discussions of political views will be off limits.
“Musa tells just enough to connect the dots to the wealthy Arab audience of Al-Jazeera,” Walid Shoebat continued. “He relays the message to raise all necessary funds, since his mission is to transform Kenya to an Islamic majority by using the Obama household name and his grandmother’s non-profit organization.”
Shoebat emphasized that the Sarah Obama Benevolent Fund has little to do with secular education or the care for widows and orphans, and Musa apparently has never mentioned anything in any Arabic media in regard to helping the HIV-infected.
Most of the funds go toward Saudi Arabia’s “most virulent Wahhabi Shariah centers,” Shoebat explained, including the Islamic University in Medina, Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca and the University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.
Shoebat noted President Obama’s Uncle Sayid Hussein Obama is involved with the al-Qaida-affiliated Muslim World League, citing Saudi media.
Shoebat’s translation reads:
“His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League, and a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia in Makkah received on Monday Mr. Saeed Hussein Obama, Kenyan businessman, and uncle of President Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, who paid a visit to the Muslim World League, accompanied by a number of Kenyan graduates from Saudi universities.”
Shoebat explained that several Muslim World League employees have worked with al-Qaida. He said Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida gained material support and sponsorship, along with protective cover, from Muslim World League offices around the world.
In the Al-Jazeera interview, Musa explained how the Obamas even send recruits to Umm Al Qura University in Mecca.
“I studied Arabic and Shariah at the Islamic university in Medina in Saudi Arabia,” Musa told Al-Jazeera, while relating how he visited Umm Al Qura University with his uncle Sayid.
“We also in the month of Muharram visited the dean of Umm Al Qura University, me and my uncle Sayid. The nature of the visit was to facilitate scholarships to send students from Kenya to Umm Al Qura.”
The Shoebats explained Umm Al Qura University is “a paragon in Wahhabist education.” The university takes pride, they said, “in being the first to print the works of Muhammad Abdul Wahhab, the founder of the most virulent brand of Islam.”

The Obamas fundraising empire is so successful the excess students have had to be diverted from Saudi Arabia to nearby Doha in Qatar.
“When [the students] submit an application to Sarah Obama Benevolent Fund, they expect to get what they want, but we are flooded,” Musa explained in the Al Jazeera interview.
Learning of the flood of students sent to the Wahhabi universities in Saudi Arabia, the Al-Jazeera interviewer asked, “So you are opening an avenue in other universities?”
Musa said the excess students were sent to nearby Doha, after Musa visited and made the necessary arrangements.
Following up, the Al-Jazeera interviewer asked Musa, “Do all these scholarships involve studying Arabic and Shariah?”
Musa explained, “Some of those do not involve Shariah, like medicine or engineering.”
Al-Jazeera then asked what the majority of students were sent to Qatar to study.
“The majority of course is Shariah schools,” Musa explained, “because my connections in the institutions [in Qatar] is with Shariah schools”

To be fair, our country was setup to be tolerant of all religions. What that basic principal does not include is elevation of people to high offices who use that principal to compromise such offices to convert others under a different structure. That is a passive takeover.

In 2006 Barack Obama took a trip to Kenya on the taxpayer’s dime.
While visiting Kenya as a guest of the government Obama campaigned for socialist Raila Odinga, who claims he is Obama’s cousin.
Odinga’s opponents said Odinga was using Obama “as his stooge.”

Trade Aid Monitor reported:[INDENT]Kenyan businesses lately are increasingly becoming recipients of U.S. government largesse, as the Obama Administration, among pursuing other endeavors, aims to expand “livestock-related economic opportunities” in that nation. Although this and other recently released presolicitation notices for unrelated programs serve as advance alerts to potential vendors—and therefore do not offer cost estimates and other details— a review of U.S. government contracting actions nonetheless indicates a spike of activity in Kenya in a variety of sectors.
The White House is committing to a five-year effort to “improve the inclusiveness and competitiveness” of the livestock industry specifically in Marsabit and Garissa counties, Kenya, according to a presolicitation notice released April 12 that U.S. Trade & Aid Monitor located via routine database research.
The Feed the Future-related initiative, known as the Resilience and Economic Growth in the Arid Lands-Accelerated Growth, or REGAL-AG, program, will be carried out by contractors hired by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), according to the document.
The agency did not disclose the project’s estimated cost: “No additional information regarding this planned RFP [Request for Proposals] is available at this time.”
USAID that same day separately alerted potential contractors to the launching of yet another endeavor in that nation, known as the Kenya Agricultural Value Chain Enterprises, or KAVES, program.
The KAVES presolicitation notice simply states the agency’s intention “to use full and open competition for the contract, which will be performed in Kenya. USAID intends to release the solicitation within the next 45 days.”

Everybody from the Gates Foundation to the IRP to the Carnegie Foundation and more just loves lavishing time and attention on "Granny Sarah," the charming third wife of the President's late grandfather, making "Granny Sarah" the President's step-grandmother.
Yet step-grandmother or no, in Africa and the Middle East, "Granny Sarah" is a celebrity with both stature and clout. Think of her as a senior combination of Kate Middleton and Hillary Clinton. Someone whose family relationship has bequeathed her rock star status, which she then wields deftly in the world of politics and international affairs by raising bucks. The latter in the service of Islam and Sharia.

Why on earth would people like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the IRP, the Carnegie Corporation, Catholic Relief Services, Greenpeace, the Guardian, and a prominent U.S. government agency like the CDC ever in a thousand years get hooked in with someone who is using her celebrity to promote a culture endorsing wife-beating, the stoning of women, and killing gays?
The answer is to be found in the lovely-sounding Mama Sarah Obama Children Foundation, its website found here. Begun after President Obama rose to fame -- its very existence a direct result of Sarah Obama's fame as the President's step-grandma -- the foundation was begun as the Sarah Obama Benevolent Fund Institute. The Mama Sarah Foundation has five very benign goals that have attracted gullible Westerners like flies to honey. They all revolve around orphans, children with HIV/AIDS, and educating poor children.
The buzz words that attract these gullible Westerners are all there. "Suffering orphans." "Vulnerable children."
"HIV/AIDS." "Needy children" who are being helped to "achieve their dreams irrespective of their humble background."
The missing word in these goals -- a word that is in fact missing completely from the Mama Sarah website?
That's right. The missing word is "Sharia."
Yet sitting down for that video-taped interview with Al Jazeera, an interview that was televised not without intention to rich Islamic extremists everywhere, Musa Obama says this of the Mama Sarah Obama fund in responding to questions about the foundation's scholarships:[INDENT] Q. So then you open opportunities for other universities? Do all these scholarships involve studying Arabic and Sharia?
A. Uuu…hhh the majority of course is Sharia schools because I have strong connections and relationships with primarily Sharia institutions. Now of course we are beginning to have a strong need for doctors and engineers, and lawyers so our students also need to study these things….
And this (bold emphasis mine):
It (the Mama Sarah fund) provides services for orphans, there's about 50 orphans, in madrases (sic), in elementary and secondary schools…. There are also students, praise to be Allah, they get scholarship…
And of his own education? Musa Obama says:
"I studied Arabic and Sharia in Medina in Saudi Arabia."
The interviewer notes that the Obama family is a "Muslim family" and thus: "…you keep Sharia in a very strong way?"
"Yes, of course," replies Musa.
Where do these Obama-funded scholarships -- the money raised because of the family connection to the President of the United States -- take the recipient?
"Many obtained scholarships to Islamic universities. Very soon some of them will be going to Islamic Universities in Medina and other places in Saudi Arabia."
Full stop. Let's parse, step by step.
Beginning with this reference:
Cousin Musa is introduced as "a memorizer of the Koran and is a teacher in Kenya." Musa is visiting Al Jazeera in Doha (the capital of Qatar) after his "return from the pilgrimage in Mecca. In Saudi Arabia."
The purpose of Cousin Musa's drop-by? To discuss:
..the relationship of Obama's family with the American president and the living conditions of the Muslims in Kenya and also discuss the Sarah Benevolence Institute. Sarah is the grandmother of President Obama...
The interviewer stipulates an apparent agreement with Musa not to discuss any political issues, and with that the interview is off and running.
There is "continual communication" between the Obamas of Kenya and "his excellence, the President of the United States," says Musa., adding "Praise be to Allah that relationship is very well." Most of the "continual communication" between "his excellence" and his family comes through Uncle Sayid "who we participated in the Hajj with, may Allah be praised, when we came with grandma last year."
The discussion moves to all of the people in the poverty of West Kenya who want something from the Obamas because of their famous relative, and the resulting creation of the Sarah Hussein Obama Institute for Benevolence.
The Institute was "created to aid the people," says Musa.
When the Obama family went to the Hajj last year, says Musa, they were invited to the Saudi king's royal quarters. It seems the Obamas thought they were too late for the pilgrimage to Mecca and Granny Sarah wrote a letter to the Saudi Ambassador. Things happened quickly and the Obamas were invited by the Saudi royals to make the trip. Especially, says the interviewer, "because you are a Muslim family."
When the interviewer asks whether anything was requested of the Obamas while in Mecca, Musa declines to answer for political reasons.
The conversation turns to Sarah's Benevolence Institute, now formally known as the Mama Sarah Obama Children Foundation.
And immediately becomes more than a charming family story of an American president's family tree.
Many people in Sarah's village and throughout West Kenya wanted to be associated with the Obama name. The usual business or political types. But there was also a desire -- fulfilled -- for education and scholarships for students. What kind of education? Scholarships? Scholarships to where?
"It [the Mama Sarah fund] provides services for orphans, there's about 50 orphans, in madrases (sic)….
What was it then-Secretary of State Colin Powell said about madrassas back in 2004 when testifying before the House Appropriations Committee? Powell testified that madrassas were a breeding ground for "fundamentalists and terrorists."
In an October 16, 2003 memo to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other top Pentagon officials, then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld posed this question about the role of madrassas:
Today, we lack metrics to know if we are winning or losing the global war on terror. Are we capturing, killing or deterring and dissuading more terrorists every day than the madrassas and the radical clerics are recruiting, training and deploying against us?
Newt Gingrich is long on record discussing the threat of "the spread of Radical Islamism through mosques and madrassas."
Even the liberal Brookings Institution has taken issue with the IRP's Peter Bergen on the subject of radical Islam being cultivated in Pakistan's madrassas.
And yet there is the President's cousin Musa calmly sitting on Al-Jazeera discussing how Mama Sarah's fund "provides services…for madrases."
And the scholarships? Says Musa:
"Many obtained scholarships to Islamic universities. Very soon some of them will be going to Islamic Universities in Medina and other places in Saudi Arabia."
The interviewer gets back to the funding of Mama Sarah's Obama Foundation. Where does it come from? "The funding comes from people of benevolence in Western countries , and even some in Kenya. 90% comes from non-Muslims who fund Sarah's Benevolence Institute." This includes charitable institutions in the United States.
How much funding? Well, Musa wasn't sure because it all related to "students who are getting scholarship." Then he says this of Mama Sarah's Foundation:
A. It provides services for orphans, there's about 50 orphans, in madrases, in elementary and secondary schools….There are also students, praise to be Allah, they get scholarshi…
Q. Scholarship to where?
A. To the Islamic University, in Medina. We also in the month of Muhharam visited the dean of Umm al-Qura University, me and my uncle Sayid, and some of the friends, and the nature of the visit was to facilitate scholarship, to send students to Umm al-Qura. My presence also in Doha, I met some of the brethren who work in the Waqf ministry. And of course I'm going to visit Qatar, and the goal will be to provide scholarships to students.
Q. You mean student scholarships?
A. Scholarships, oh yes. Because they are such a huge number. Because when they send an application to Sarah Obama Benevolence Fund they expect to get what they want. Since these [universities] are flooded.
So.
By Musa's account of what Granny Sarah is up to, the goal is to use her fame as the step-grandmother of the President to bring in the big bucks for her foundation. The lure for gullible Westerners is the Obama name and the whole business about needy children and HIV/AIDS.
In fact, the money is also used to indoctrinate kids in the ways of Sharia.
And who responds to this interesting game?
Up steps the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In the name of providing a better understanding of "global health issues," the Gates Foundation makes a $300,000 grant to the International Reporting Project. On whose advisory board sits the New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson and the above-mentioned others. The IRP uses the Gates money in June of 2012 to send a dozen journalists to Mama Sarah's front door in her Kenyan village. The obvious purpose: to get the message out about the wonderful Obama Foundation and all it is doing for women and needy children.
This time, there was a bit of an interesting snag. The Guardian, the left-leaning British paper, sent along a reporter by the name of Martin Robbins. Mr. Robbins was apparently semi-awake, although, sadly not alert.
Suspicious that he was being had, but in the style of left-wingers everywhere, Robbins is aghast to find out that Granny Sarah opposes abortion. What? Obama's grandmother is pro-life?!!!! Instantly one can see Robbins mark her down in left-wing fashion as some sort of conventional Western-style right-winger. A change in color, goes the implication, and this woman could be Pat Robertson's grandmother.
It turns out that another journalist is present on this trip. A fellow Brit named Julia Manning of the Daily Mail. Ms. Manning digs out a memorable quote from Granny Sarah when asking how men should treat their wives. Replies Sarah:
"The disobedient wives should be beaten."
Startled, Manning makes sure of what she thinks all these foreign journalists sent by the IRP and funded by the Gates Foundation have just heard. Did Granny Sarah just say it was fine and dandy for men to beat their wives? Replies a casually steely Granny Sarah:
"Yeah, they should be beaten."
Martin Robbins is now beside himself. How can this be? Barack Obama's own grandmother believes in the physical abuse of women? One can almost see Robbins' brain shivering in un-comprehension.
Does Robbins get it? Well, no. Not once does it dawn on Robbins that there is a direct connection between this lovely senior celebrity African woman -- and Sharia. Which specifically advocates wife-beating.
There is not a single mention of Sharia in Robbins piece.
Neither is there a word about Sharia from the Carnegie Corporation. Carnegie funded Tulane University's Laura Murphy as a Carnegie Corporation of New York Social Entrepreneurship Professor. And sent her straight to Mama Sarah's door where, Murphy excitedly reported, she talked with Mama Sarah about their "mutual interest in kitchen gardens and using good nutrition and herbal medicine to treat infection -- just one of the many challenges facing AIDS-affected families and children in the region."
Whether Professor Murphy shares an interest in sending those "children in the region" off to learn about wife beating, stoning women and killing gays Carnegie does not report.
Nor is there a whisper of the Obama Sharia connection from the Catholic Relief Services. The CRS has an absolutely gushing report on Mama Sarah here. Among the superlatives ("Humanitarian") comes the news that the CRS is "partnering" with Mama Sarah. Partnering in what? Apparently in a program to grow "cassava" ( a potato-like plant) funded by… the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Greenpeace, the far-left environmental group, was so wild about Granny Sarah that they sent a team to install solar panels on her roof. Posting an excited story headlined: "Yes We Can! Mama Obama Loves Solar Power!"
Last but not least in this circus is the U.S. government's Centers for Disease Control. It is the CDC that provided the IRP journalists funded by Bill Gates with, in Robbins words, a "stereotypically American convoy of five bright white trucks" to whisk the IRP journalists to Mama Obama's door.
Does anyone wonder why the Libyan furor has erupted? Does anyone wonder why, as reported here, former State Department security officer Eric Nordstrom said that trying and failing repeatedly to get security for the American Consulate in Benghazi had convinced him "the Taliban is on the inside of the building"? Meaning inside the U.S. State Department?
What is happening with the Mama Sarah Obama Children Foundation is a perfect example of what the Center for Security Policy means when it says that:
U.S. national security leaders, academia, the media and society as a whole have been rendered all but incapable of recognizing (Sharia) as part of the enemy jihad.
The rich irony?
The Democrats spent an entire convention talking about the GOP's alleged "war on women" (which erupted because there was opposition to demands that the government pay for Sandra Fluke's birth control) and advertising themselves as pro gay marriage.
Meanwhile the family of the President of the United States -- the man Democrats re-nominated in such loving fashion with Sandra Fluke herself taking the podium -- is using Barack Obama's name to raise money to educate African kids in the ways of Sharia. To learn about why it is OK to beat wives, stone women to death, and kill human beings for being gay.
This is exactly the reason that 14-year old Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by Taliban gunmen and is now, airlifted to Britain for surgery, fighting for her life. Why was Malala shot? That's right. She was fighting sharia and all those "soldiers of Allah." Malala was fighting exactly the people Mama Obama is using President Obama's name to fund.
Where is Sandra Fluke? Or those Hollywood actresses appearing in Obama TV ads -- actresses Scarlett Johansson, Kerry Washington, and Eva Longoria? Where are all those rich gay Obama contributors? Where is the mainstream media?
Not a peep. Not a peep.
The Taliban mentality is apparently inside more than just the State Department.
It's inside the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation, the International Reporting Project and its advisers from mainstream media advisors like The New York Times, as well as the Catholic Relief Services, Greenpeace, and the U.S. taxpayer-funded Centers for Disease Control.
The bottom line?
If one really wants to know what killed Ambassador Stevens, two Navy SEALs and a State Department employee, it is thinking just like this.

Obama’s controversial relationships with radical figures like Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi have been well-publicized in recent years.
Prior to his academic career in the United States, Khalidi worked for Yasser Arafat’s Palestine Liberation Organization when it was classified by the State Department as a terrorist group.
Less well-known is a cluster of Chicago businessmen who formed an Arab-American network at the heart of Obama’s political apparatus. Ray Hanania, a Chicago-based Arab-American journalist and activist, described the network in a 2007 interview with Chicago magazine as “a small cluster of activists” in the business community who were politically involved.
Chief among them was Obama mentor Tony Rezko. Born in Aleppo, Syria, home of strongman Bashar al-Assad, Rezko migrated to the U.S. in the late 1970s and built a political and financial empire in Chicago and Springfield, the Illinois capital.
Rezko is now serving a 10-year federal prison sentence following his convictions on federal fraud and bribery charges related to disgraced Gov. Rod Blagojevich and state contracting.
Rezko offered Obama a job at his Rezmar Corp. after he finished at Harvard Law School, but the new lawyer instead accepted a position at a Chicago firm with close personal and professional ties to Rezko. Their relationship steadily deepened in the years thereafter.
For example, Obama asked Rezko to assess the $1.6 million Hyde Park/Kenwood home that he and Michelle were considering buying in 2005, a controversial transaction that Rezko’s wife assisted by purchasing an adjoining lot for $625,000. (The owner of the home and adjoining lot insisted that they be sold together.)
Rezko and his Arab-American business associates have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Obama’s political campaigns. Following Rezko’s conviction, though, Obama donated to charity at least $85,000 in Rezko contributions to his 2008 presidential campaign.
The Chicago Sun-Times estimated Obama received at least “$168,308 from Rezko and his circle,” while ABC News put the total to be as much as $100,000 higher than the amount claimed by Obama.
While he was in the Illinois Senate, Obama helped key Rezko associates gain appointments to the state board that controlled health facility contracting for building expansions.
Once his associates were appointed, Rezko sought kickbacks from contractors favored by his friends in a process that became the heart of the federal case against him.
When Obama became chairman of the state Senate health committee that oversaw appointments to the medical board, among his first acts was to gain fast-track passage of a bill to reduce the board from 15 to nine members, thus making it somewhat easier to gain the panel’s approval for contracts.
Rezko then used his connections with Blagojevich to stack the restructured board with his political cronies. Their appointments were confirmed by Obama’s committee, then sent to the Senate floor.
Soon thereafter, contributions from Rezko and his health board allies began pouring into Obama’s campaign coffers, according to federal and state campaign finance data.
Rezko associate Dr. Michel Malek, for example, donated $15,000 to Obama after gaining appointment to the health board.
Dr. Imad Almanaseer, another Rezko ally appointed to the health board, initially gave Obama $3,000. Over the next three years, he and members of his family donated nearly $10,000 more to Obama.
Fortunee Massuda, another Rezko associate, donated $2,000 in January 2004 shortly after winning her assignment to the key panel.
Other Rezko allies who were not on the health board also contributed to Obama. Elie Maloof was granted immunity by federal prosecutors after he told U.S. attorneys he funneled two $10,000 contributions to Obama through Rezko. Prosecutors noted Maloof’s assertion in their opening arguments at Rezko’s trial, but no additional charges were filed.
Rezko business partner Abdelhamid Chaib donated $10,000 to Obama, then was convicted on federal corruption charges in 2010 after trying to pressure a Chicago hospital executive to steer contracts to Rezko companies.
Another Rezko partner, Ali Ata, was a key witness during Rezko’s 2008 federal corruption trial. He donated $5,000 to Obama’s campaign and claimed to have given an additional $10,000 in “straw donations.”
Ata was a former president of the Chicago Chapter of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee.
Ata also was an investor with Rezko and Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-British businessman and former Iraqi Baathist who was on a terror watch list and thus barred from entering the United States.
Rezko asked federal authorities in 2004 to permit Auchi to join him in Chicago for a business deal, according to the New York Times.
Stuart Levine, Rezko’s former partner and the government’s star witness in the Rezko trial, testified that Obama met Auchi at a private Rezko reception held at Chicago’s Four Seasons hotel.
Auchi wired $3.5 million to Rezko during the 2008 trial. Federal prosecutors asked for Rezko’s bail to be revoked when they discovered the Auchi wire transfer.
Another Rezko supporter was Mustafa Abdalla, who donated $1,000 to Obama. Abdalla put up property as collateral for Rezko’s bail.
Rezko was a generous financial supporter of Chicago-based Arab-American activist groups, including the Arab American Democratic Club, or AADC, and the Arab American Action Network, or AAAN.
Rezko was involved in the AADC with Khalil Shalabi. Shalabi was fired from a state government job in 2007 after the Illinois inspector general reported he had been fundraising at work for Rezko and Blagojevich.
The Obamas attended several AAAN dinners, including one honoring Khalidi. More recently, Hatem Abudayyeh, AAAN’s executive director, attended an April 22, 2010, Obama policy briefing, according to White House visitor logs.
In September 2010, FBI investigators raided Abudayyeh’s Chicago home reportedly seeking evidence of AAAN being used as a conduit for funding to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and other Middle Eastern terrorist groups.

I have never entertained the idea that Obama was a Muslim and always believed he was a socialist. But Obama’s behavior over the last four years regarding Islam has convinced me that Obama has a Socialist/Islamic centered world view – a combination that is not uncommon in many parts of the Muslim world.
Having been a journalist in Egypt for six years in the’70s, I have witnessed socialism with an Islamic twist to be a popular political ideology, especially amongst Arab journalists and intellectuals. Socialism and even communism have managed to survive in the ruthless Islamic political system as an alternative to full-fledged Shariah.
The two ideologies blended together in the Baath Party in Syria, Iraq and socialist regimes in Egypt and Yemen. One major difference between the two ideologies is that Islam uses Allah, while socialism uses atheism, to fight the God of Christianity. Free democracies such as the United States are alien to Islam and socialists because they regard government as a servant to the people and believe that human rights are from God and not from government or Shariah.
Having said that, both Shariah and socialism united in their envy of Western society and needed to change it. That is when Obama became the savior of both Islam and socialism. He embodied both ideologies, socialism and Islam, and was groomed for years to help the socialist and Islamic causes inside America. The claim that Obama is a Christian was a silly joke, but a necessary lie for the greater cause of changing America to fit the goals of socialists and Islamists.
Obama became the one, the savior of both Islam and socialists. For that Obama had to deny who he really was. That is why Obama’s actions and words never added up. At the recent Catholic charity dinner speech, Obama did not seem just to be kidding when he said that Romney uses his middle name, Mitt, and “I wish I could use my middle name.” Obama was referring to his Islamic middle name of Hussein. In Obama’s mind he was not ashamed for having deceived America, but he blamed America for putting him in this quagmire of having to deny his true pride in his middle name.
That brings us to an important discovery by WND in an article by Jerome Corsi entitled:
“Obama’s ring: ‘There is no God but Allah.’” The article shows close-up photos of a ring still worn by Obama today in the White House and that he has been wearing since his visit to Pakistan as a young man. The ring, which later also became his wedding ring, has very tiny and discrete Arabic calligraphy that means nothing to Americans, but to Arabic speaking people like myself and Dr. Mark Gabriel, means a lot. Such Islamic calligraphy is common all over the gold markets in the Muslim world. I am not a writing expert, but I can clearly see on the ring the word “La Ilaha IllaAllah.” Such a sentence in Arabic has a lot of the letters A and L, which in Arabic are simply a straight line like the number one.
Now, I am sure that Obama defenders will claim that the calligraphy design on his ring has nothing to do with Arabic letters, but that it just happens to be similar design of the Arabic Shahada. The ring is just another coincidence in the many coincidences throughout Obama’s life, just like his pastor, Rev. Wright, that does not express support to America, its Constitution or its Judeo/Christian heritage. Muslim or not, Obama has no problem misleading the American public by telling them he is a Christian when he is not, so why shouldn’t he tell them he is not a Muslim when he is?
For the sake of “hope and change” Obama found it convenient to say he is Christian. Obama would have better represented himself in the eyes of America if he was honest about his faith because lying about one’s religion is major deception and is not the everyday policy lies of politicians. The only religion on earth that advises its followers to lie about being a Muslim in a majority non-Muslim country is Islam.
That adds to the suspicion about Obama, his faith and why he favors Islam so much. Lying for the purpose of jihad in Islam is also not only allowed, but an obligation to be proud of and a means to blame the enemies of Islam for one’s lies.
Shariah law states: “Lying is obligatory if the purpose is obligatory.” Incidentally, Obama never criticizes Shariah and has people in his administration that defend Shariah. All of that take us to the same direction; why is Obama acting so much in favor of Islam?
That brings us to the current debacle in Libya, which can only be understood if we understand Obama’s worldview on the “the Muslim World.” Like the so-called “moderate” Muslims, Obama insists Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and blames previous American foreign policy and Israel for Islamic anger.
Obama narrowed down the problem of Islamism to al-Qaida while embracing other Islamic groups as moderate, such as the Muslim Brotherhood. By doing that Obama dismissed the long history of terror of the Muslim Brotherhood, which gave birth to al-Qaida and hundreds of other terror groups.
Nothing in Obama’s world is the fault of Islam, and that is why he ordered the Fort Hood massacre to be classified as workplace violence and not Islamic terrorism.
Obama believes that he uniquely understands the Muslim world and will bring a new era of peace with Islam, at least during his administration. There are also strong rumors in Egypt that when Obama met with the Egyptian foreign minister, he confided in him that he was a Muslim and that he would help the Islamic cause in America after he passed his health-care bill.
But as president of the United States, Obama was in a quagmire between protecting American lives and being loyal to Islam and appeasing his Islamic friends. Placing American Marines in U.S. consulates in dangerous terror-infested Islamic countries was going to jeopardize a bloody confrontation between American security and Islamists.
That was also going to discredit Obama’s theory of Islam having nothing to do with terrorism. Also, if Obama were to confront militarily Muslim jihadists in Islamic countries, his whole theory that he has brought a new page in American/Islamic relations would fall apart and he would be no different from his predecessors, Bush or Reagan.
That explains why the demands for American security instead of Libyan security by U.S. Ambassador Stevens went unanswered. Obama did not want to deal with the possibility that American Marines would shoot at Muslim attackers to save American lives.
Whether Obama secretly considers himself Muslim or not, his suspicious behavior in Libya supports those who believe he is a Muslim. According to Shariah, it is a capital crime for a Muslim individual or leader to shoot Islamists for the purpose of protecting Americans. That would make Obama a violator of Shariah and an apostate.
Obama in Libya acted like he does not want to upset Muslims, and that he does not want to shoot on Muslim attackers. With the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Islamists and jihadists made it clear to us that they couldn’t care less about Obama, his appeasement, his apology and even his Islam. They could not put on hold their jihad or restrain themselves for an American president who wanted to help build a better image of Islam to the world. They could not play the game with Obama and refrain from jihad even during the Obama presidency.
Jihadists declared that Obama, Muslim or not, is just another American president who should not be trusted. The Muslim world has no respect for authority or the rule of law and that is what Islamic Shariah produces in all Muslim countries and that is why Islamic angry mobs recently were torching Obama’s effigy in anger.
It is unfortunate that it took a tragedy in Libya and the lives of decent Americans to prove that Obama is unfit to be president. Obama has fooled many Americans for four years, and that is why when he sees the face of Romney he is reminded of a reality he could not fully eliminate. Obama knows the game is over and his presidency is over.

Progress in Realizing the President’s Vision of Enhanced Science and Technology (S&T) Partnership in the Muslim World
Top 17 S&T Activities June 4, 2009 – June 4, 2010
1. Science Envoys: Three of America’s most prominent scientists traveled and engaged with counterparts in Morocco, Egypt, Indonesia, and other countries.
2. OPIC Fund: The OPIC Global Technology and Innovation Fund attracted almost $2 billion in private investment to support technological development projects to be implemented in Muslim communities around the world.
3. Center of Excellence on Water: USAID and State Department began the creation of a Middle East Water Center after extensive consultations across the region.
4. Center of Excellence on Climate Change: USAID and the State Department began the creation of an Asia Regional Climate Change Center after extensive consultations across the region, with an anticipated initial focus on water-scarcity issues.
5. Gulf Nuclear Energy Infrastructure Institute: This newly established institute—a collaborative effort involving the State Department, Department of Energy (DOE), Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, UAE Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, Sandia National Laboratory, and Texas A&M University’s Nuclear Security Science & Policy Institute—will work with Gulf States through regional workshops and follow-up bilateral training to assist those states that decide to pursue nuclear energy with the tools to do so in a safe, secure, and safeguarded manner.
6. Entrepreneurship Summit: This summit brought together successful business and social entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, development bankers, and other business experts to discuss ideas and share experiences with a view toward creating support networks that will help promote development in Muslim communities.
7. Expanded Science Corps: Secretary of State Clinton committed to expanding the number of Environment, Science, Technology, and Health (ESTH) officers at embassies, with new positions already being filled in the Middle Easter and North Africa (MENA).
8. Regional R&D Collaboration: The State Department launched six new Middle East Regional Cooperation projects to fund applied research and S&T cooperation involving institutions in Jordan, West Bank/Gaza, Tunisia, and Israel on topics in agriculture, environmental protection and global and regional health.
9. Bilateral R&D Collaboration: The United States and Indonesia concluded a new S&T Agreement and the United States provided a doubling of financial support for S&T agreements with Egypt and Pakistan.
10. Frontiers of Science Program: The U.S. National Academy of Sciences expanded this program to support linkages between young scientists in the United States and Southeast Asia, with planned expansion to additional regions as well.
11. MENA POWER 2010: The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) sponsored a Middle East and North Africa technology and projects forum to match MENA policymakers and project stakeholders in the electric power sector with U.S. providers of equipment and service solutions
12. Energy:
Memorandum of Understanding for Clean Energy Cooperation: DOE partnered with UAE’s multi-billion-dollar Masdar City clean energy initiative, with delegates and DOE officials outlining an initial work plan.
Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation: Secretary Chu signed this MOU during his visit to the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, in Riyadh, to facilitate partnerships with DOE national laboratories, U.S. universities and scientific institutions.
Feasibility Studies: USTDA supported extensive feasibility studies throughout the region to determine potential capabilities for geothermal energy, solar energy, and smart grid technology.
13. Information Communication Technology:
Iraq Science and Technology Virtual Science Library project was officially transferred to Iraqi government control and administration. 7500 users are now registered, 95% of the university population is participating, 1,000,000 articles have been downloaded to date, and publications by Iraqi authors are increasing apace and expected to reach about 300 this year.
NSF supported a host of electronic networking programs, including implementation of a multi-million-dollar broad-band internet linkage to Egypt and Pakistan, and provided support to involve Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France, and nearly all countries in North Africa in a network for research on new materials for renewable energy.
Maghreb Digital Library. The State Department supported the establishment of a Digital Library for the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania) to support development in S&T, increase access to digitized scientific data and research, and encourage partnership and networking.
14. Health:
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) jointly hosted a Health Dialogue with Ministers of Health from the OIC member states in Geneva on the margins of the World Health Assembly. Concrete steps were outlined for enhanced collaboration.
The National Institutes of Health conducted training in tobacco control, injury and trauma, bioethics and genetics. This included meetings among twelve regional nations across MENA and SE Asia, leading to the creation of new programs in medical schools in the participating nations.
15. Water: The U.S. Geological Survey supported extensive training in collection and analysis of water samples, workshops on water contamination, training on the establishment of digital water resources data systems, and consultation on the establishment of water quality laboratories across the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia.
16. Space: NASA signed agreements with several nations for future collaboration on space programs. NASA now has agreements with 30 of the world’s more than 50 Muslim-majority nations.
17. Pollution: The Environmental Protection Agency has teamed up with Indonesia and Jordan to create programs aimed at decreasing air pollution in both nations. Breathe Easy Jakarta and Jordan’s Environmental Rangers are just two of the programs implemented to increase public participation and enforcement and accountability in the fight against pollution. 1. Global Engagement Fund: S&T collaboration is an important part of the new $100M Global Engagement Fund submitted to Congress for FY2011. 2. US-Egypt Year of Science 2011: This year-long enterprise will celebrate US Egypt engagement in science, promote interest among Egyptian youth in science-related careers and research, and promote digital engagement among the Egyptian science community with US peers and institutions. 3. New Science Envoys: The Administration will name three new envoys, with plans to travel to Central Asia, East and West Africa, and Southeast Asia. 4. Science, Technology, and Innovation Conference 2011: This conference will include representatives from Muslim communities around the world in cooperation with Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and other key stakeholders. 5. White House/OSTP Digital Knowledge Networking Event: This major international event will bring together ICT leaders from public and private foundations involved in electronic knowledge sharing, technology, education, and development, along with other experts, to move from idea to realization of a significant increase in on-line knowledge-sharing in science and technology. 6. Middle East Energy Efficiency Center: DOE, State, and USAID will launch an effort in the Middle East to promote and enhance regional cooperation in science and technology, focusing on six energy-efficiency initiatives. 7. Challenges & Awards: EPA/USAID will launch a challenge to drive innovation for water technologies serving international and domestic constituencies. 8. Forest Conservation: The Department of Interior will work with several nations to preserve nature reserves and protect endangered species. 9. Eye on the Earth – Abu Dhabi 2010: EPA will co-sponsor this event to address the establishment of a global environmental information network. 10. Joint Ocean Exploration: NOAA’s research vessel Okeanos Explorer and the Indonesian research vessel Baruna Jaya will make a pioneering joint mission to the “Coral Triangle” in the Indo-Pacific region in the summer of 2011.
