Why? Because, it might help President Obama win, not just the second, but also a third term.
“He can’t do that; we have the 22nd Amendment,” you quip. Yes, we do. But imagine the destabilization the Iranian war will cause in a region which is home to a nuclear Pakistan, a bleeding Syria, and a wounded Russia. Add to it the perpetual Arab-Israeli conflict, with China and Japan posturing over deserted islands to its right and a mercurial Arab Spring to its left and all you have is red meat.
A recent Tel Aviv University poll found over 50 percent of Israelis afraid that a war with Iran would endanger the Jewish state. According to retired Israeli defense officials, a preemptive strike would precipitate an unpredictable Middle East war.
If others jumped in and the conflict turned into a Third World War, Americans may prefer to rehire a sedulous president who pulled their car out of the ditch during the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.
That’s exactly what happened during the Second World War when America trusted Franklin Roosevelt with third and fourth presidential terms, partly because he had pulled the country out of the Great Depression.
Wartime presidents can sell a Double Whopper to a vegetarian. As the festinate decision of bombing Iran turns into a global conflict, don’t expect our constitutional law professor turned president to decline his party’s suggestion: if it can be ratified; it can be repealed.
Repealing the 22nd Amendment – which some argue was never vetted publicly – is not unthinkable. In 1947, the 22nd Amendment was debated for merely two hours (in the House) and five days (in the Senate) before 18 states rushed to ratify it. By 1951, it had the required legislative support of more than three quarters of the states.
“Why then,” - you question – “have over 21 attempts to repeal the 22nd Amendment languished and died in the committees without even a Congressional vote?”
That’s like asking why the Whopper’s beef patties were not cooked despite putting it on the grill 21 times. The grill had no burning coal, no blazing propane, and no fire underneath.
But look at today’s world: it’s sizzling.
Talk to the economists and they reckon that the U.S. is effectively bankrupt. Remove the “labeling problem” – Congress’ tendency to keep its liabilities unofficial and off the books – and our national debt climbs to over $200 trillion. Euro is on life support. China is pumping its fist.
Talk to the theologians and they are abuzz with Armageddon scenarios. To them the rampant acceptance, and to some degree, promotion, of the vices of promiscuity, homosexuality, and blasphemy are indicative of the end times.
Talk to the middle class and three-quarters of adults, worldwide, were out of a full-time job in 2011. Nearly half of all Americans doubt that today’s college graduates are ready for the world of work and are even doubtful whether their children will be able to find work at all.
Talk to the rampaging mullahs in the drone-prone parts of the Muslim world and they are sticking to their vaunted “honor.” Talk to the American right, and they see no threat more imminent to human civilization than the threat of “Muslim rage.”
Under such heated circumstances, an amendment that took the States four years to ratify may take the Congress just four tweets to repeal.
Voila! Your burger is ready.
Folks, the Phoenix continues to rise. President Obama went from an abysmal approval ratings of 38 perecnt last year, to a tight race last month, to garnering a strong edge in the swing states last week.
So if you cringe at the idea of “this” president winning a second term, then turn down the heat and think with a cool head. Do you really want a Third World War to dash our hopes and change our dreams? Do you really want to give President Obama a third term?
Mission seekers, don’t push the war agenda during the presidential debates. Forget about your beef with the man and try the vegetarian platter of diplomacy instead.

Iran has infiltrated a team of Quds Force terrorist leaders into the United States to attack from within in 2013, according to a source.

The source within the office of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Islamic regime, said the team is to create instability in America through terrorism should the U.S. fail to accept the regime’s illicit nuclear program, increase sanctions, confront Iran militarily or intervene in the Syrian civil war.
Members of the team, no more than 10 Quds Force officers, each lead cells totaling about 50 terrorists already in the U.S.

The source is risking his life not only to reveal the terror operation but to warn that Iran is pursuing its nuclear bomb program around the clock from several secret sites.

Details of the terror plot, meant to disrupt the West, have been passed on to U.S. officials, who are taking countermeasures.

The source said the team members, unlike the alleged Iranian operative Manssor Arbabsiar, who was arrested in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, D.C. in 2011, are highly trained and sophisticated.

The team leaders are all senior Revolutionary Guard officers who were recruited for this specific mission nine years ago on the recommendation of the Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, and with the approval of security advisers to Khamenei.

Some of these individuals held high-level posts before joining the mission. One served as the security officer in the supreme leader’s office, another was a member of the special forces for intelligence and security in charge of protecting regime officials, two were in charge of security of ground and air transportation, another was a commander of recruiting assets, and others had experience in security and intelligence.

Most of the team members have been in America for a year; a few were successfully placed here about five years ago.

The families of the team members are financially supported by the regime, but team members are financially supported through various means as they do not maintain any contact with Iran.

Two wealthy Iranian businessmen in Iran with ties in Europe are used to finance the team; one routinely travels to the U.S.

One well-established Iranian businessman in America who often travels to Iran was approached by the Quds Force for his collaboration in return for incentives in Iran. He acts as the sponsor of the team, transfers cash to team members, hosts meetings at his residence and passes on information from the regime to the team. He also takes care of any legal issues, leases, contracts and such.

Information and pictures of potential targets have been submitted for Khamenei’s approval, the source added. They include high-voltage towers to create blackouts, cell towers, water supplies, public transportation and various other buildings belonging to the Defense Department and military.

The source said the planned attacks could be greater than what happened on 9/11 and that in the last phase of the attack, al-Qaida operatives will also be involved.

After Osama bin Laden’s death, Khamenei has taken a greater role in leadership on the collaboration with al-Qaida, and according to the source, four top al-Qaida commanders visit Khamenei every two months.

The plan is that if by next six months America does not accept Iran’s nuclear program and either increases sanctions or a military confrontation occurs, the assets have been ordered to carry out their mission. The regime feels it must act by then because current sanctions, which have already had a serious effect on Iran’s economy, could spark civilian rioting.

As reported in the Washington Times on Oct. 5, a secret memo by the regime’s Intelligence Ministry warned that deteriorating economic conditions from international sanctions had greatly increased the possibility of an uprising and urged them to take appropriate action.

The United States has set a March deadline for Iran to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency demands on its nuclear program or face much harsher measures.

The regime believes, the source said, that if the U.S. fails to accept Iran’s nuclear program, Israel will be much more likely to attack its nuclear facilities and military installations.

Previously an exclusive report in WND revealed that terror cells of the Islamic regime were on high alert to attack targets in America. Gen. Massoud Jazayeri, deputy head of Iran’s armed forces, stated that, “In the face of any attack, we will have a crushing response. In that case, we will not only act in the boundaries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, no place in America will be safe from our attacks.”

Iranian officials also see the possible overthrow of Syrian President Bashar Assad as a red line, and with the looming confrontation over their nuclear program, they have taken several measures, one of which is to retaliate against Israel through several fronts and in coordination with their proxies, such as Hezbollah. As reported in WND, 170 ballistic missiles have been pre-targeted on Tel Aviv alone, some with biological warheads. And an attack on America from within would create economic havoc on the fragile U.S. economy.

The source warned that the IAEA has no idea that the Islamic regime is actively working on its nuclear bomb program at secret sites, that it has even enriched uranium to over 90 percent – weaponization grade – and that with the help of North Korea, it is working on a plutonium bomb.

The assumption that Iran is far from accomplishing its goals is a hoax, the source warned. The regime next year will make operational intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the U.S. Armed with nuclear weapons, it would be too late for the world, he said.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has ordered all of the Islamic regime’s armed forces to prepare for war, WND learned Tuesday.

According to a source in the Revolutionary Guards intelligence unit, the regime believes Israel is on the verge of an attack, which could then draw America into the conflict.

Hundreds of ballistic missiles are ready to be launched against Israel and U.S. military bases in the region, the source said, and all terror groups that have long been positioned in Europe and America are ready to act should war break out.

While the regime has called last week’s negotiations held in Kazakhstan “a turning point” between Iran and the 5-plus-1 countries – the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany – it is stalling for time to complete its nuclear weapons development, at which point it believes Israel and the West will have no choice but to accept a nuclear-armed Iran, the source said. However, regime officials do not believe Israel will wait it out and hence the preparations for war, he added.

WND reported exclusively on Feb. 28 about a warning by the regime’s armed forces deputy chief of staff, Brig. Gen. Masoud Jazayeri, that al-Qaida operatives will soon attack America and Europe, even as a second terror team sent by the Islamic regime is about to enter the U.S.

The deputy chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Hossein Salami, recently warned that the regime’s ballistic missiles could devastate the enemy and reach beyond the region.

“The range of our defensive capability expands thousands of kilometers beyond our borders,” he said.

Also recently, Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi talked of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles armed with explosives to be used against the enemy.

With two of its closest allies out of the picture – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez dead and Syrian President Bashar Assad fighting for his life – Iran fears Israel and the West could launch a war not only to stop its nuclear program but also effect regime change, knowing full well that millions of Iranians who are suffering under its policies would join in to topple their government, the source said.

Regime officials have been talking of an imminent coming of the last messiah, advising loyalists to prepare the conditions for such an event. Shiites believe the 12th Imam, Mahdi, will descend to Earth at the time of Armageddon.

Recently, Ali Saidi, Khamenei’s representative to the Revolutionary Guards, told the forces that the Coming is close and that, “The fourth way (of bringing about the arrival of the Mahdi) is by preparing upheaval in the Middle East, and so long as there is not total upheaval in Middle East, then the Imam of the Era (Mahdi) will not arrive.”

Ayatollah Khazali, a member of the Assembly of Experts, the body that chooses the supreme leader, told the regime’s magazine Pasdar Islam (the Guardian of Islam) that the Coming is close and that all enemies of Islam will be destroyed.

“Rest assured that Israel will be destroyed,” he said. “America is also getting weaker every day… our revolution was the preliminary step for the Coming.”

The commander of the Basij forces, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi, in a speech at Sharif University in Tehran, rejected bilateral talks with the U.S. and called any negotiations with America meaningless.

“As long as the U.S. refuses to give up support for the Zionist regime and avoids leaving the Persian Gulf, relations with the U.S. will not be resumed,” Naqdi said, according to Fars News Agency, a media outlet run by the Revolutionary Guards. “The U.S. today is at the peak of its enmity toward Iran.”

In a sign that time was running out, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday warned that Iran’s nuclear program is reaching “the red line,” a reference to the time when Israel might take action.

7,518 Illegal Immigrants from Terror States Caught Crossing Southern US Border in 2011

There are at least 7,518 reasons to get the U.S.-Mexican border under control. That equals the number of [illegal] aliens apprehended in fiscal year 2011 from the four nations that federal officials label “state sponsors of terrorism” plus 10 “countries of interest.”

Since January 2010, those flying into the United States via these 14 nations face enhanced screening. As the Transportation Security Administration announced at the time: “Effective aviation security must begin beyond our borders.” U.S. national security merits at least that much vigilance on our borders.The roaring immigration-reform debate largely addresses Hispanic aliens who illegally cross the border. Far more worrisome, however, are the thousands who break into the United States from countries “where we have concerns, particularly about al-Qaida affiliates,” a top State Department official told CNN.

These include Cubans, Iranians, Sudanese, and Syrians, whose governments are federally designated “state sponsors of terrorism.” As Customs and Border Protection’s “2011 Yearbook of Immigration Statistics” reports, 198 Sudanese were nabbed while penetrating the USA. Between fiscal years 2002 and 2011, such arrests totaled 1,207. (These figures cover all U.S. borders, although 96.3 percent of detainees crossed from Mexico.)

Like other immigrants, most Sudanese seek better lives here. But some may be vectors for the same militant Islam that tore Sudan in two — literally.In FY 2011, 108 Syrians were stopped; over the previous 10 years, 1,353 were. Syria supports Hezbollah, and Bashar al-Assad’s unstable regime reportedly has attacked its opponents with chemical weapons.

Conversely, it was also reported that the Obama-funded Syrian “rebels” tested chemical weapons.
Among Iranians, 276 were caught in FY 2011, while 2,310 were captured over the previous 10 years. Iran also backs Hezbollah, hates “The Great Satan” — its name for the United States — and craves atomic weapons.
The other 10 “countries of interest” are Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen and:

• Afghanistan, the Taliban’s stronghold and current theater of America’s longest war. (Afghans halted in FY 2011: 106; prior 10 years: 681.)
• Nigeria. The land of underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab suffers under Shariah law in its northern provinces. (Respective data: 591 and 4,525.)
• Pakistan, hideaway of the Pakistani Taliban and the late Osama bin Laden (525 and 10,682).
• Saudi Arabia, generous benefactor of radical imams and militant mosques worldwide; birthplace of 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers (123 and 986).
• Somalia. Home of Indian Ocean pirates and al-Qaida’s al-Shabaab franchise. In October 1993, Islamic terrorists there shot down two Black Hawk helicopters, killed 18 U.S. soldiers and dragged several of their bodies through Mogadishu’s streets (323 and 1,524).

The House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight last November published “A Line in the Sand: Countering Crime, Violence, and Terror at the Southwest Border.” This study offers chilling portraits of some who consider the southern border America’s welcome mat.

• On Jan. 11, 2011, U.S. agents discovered Said Jaziri in a car trunk trying to enter near San Diego. Jaziri traveled from his native Tunisia to Tijuana, he said, and paid smugglers $5,000 to sneak him across the border. France previously convicted and deported him for assaulting a Muslim whom he considered insufficiently devout. In 2006, Jaziri advocated killing Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard for creating what Jaziri called sacrilegious drawings of the Prophet Muhammed.
• Somalia’s Ahmed Muhammed Dhakane told authorities in 2011 that he earned up to $75,000 per day smuggling East Africans into America. His clients included three al-Shabaab terrorists. As the House paper states: “Dhakane cautioned that each of these individuals is ready to die for their cause . . .”
• On June 4, 2010, Anthony Joseph Tracy was convicted of conspiring to slip aliens into America. Tracy told federal investigators that Cuban diplomats used his travel agency in Kenya to transfer 272 Somalis to Havana. They proceeded to Belize, through Mexico, and then trespassed into the USA.

Tracy claims he refused to assist al-Shabaab. But officials discovered an email in which he casually wrote: “…i helped a lot of Somalis and most are good but there are some who are bad and i leave them to ALLAH…”

Remember: These anecdotes and statistics involve individuals whom authorities intercepted. No details exist about aliens who successfully infiltrated America.

Update: On Tuesday, the source provided additional new information on the terrorists’ plan for a major attack – that it is to take place within weeks and is planned to be “spectacular,” using a new method. The information was immediately passed on to the appropriate U.S. agency.

Iran has given the go-ahead to operatives of three terrorist groups that have infiltrated the United States to carry out missions, including what is expected to be a Mumbai-style attack on a hotel where innocent bystanders would be killed, WND has learned.

A full report with many details of the missions has been passed on to U.S. officials.

Three targets have been chosen within America for imminent attack, and the terror teams have now cut communications with the operational center in Iran, a sign that they are moving ahead with the attacks, according to a high-level intelligence officer within the Islamic regime.

If only one of the attacks occurs, the regime will consider the operation a success, the source said. Tehran believes, he said, an attack would not be traced back to Iran due to the nationalities of the operators.

One of the planned attacks resemble the Mumbai attack in 2008, the source added, in which a hotel was targeted, hostages were taken and 164 people were killed over several days. India alleges Pakistan used proxies to carry out the Mumbai attack so it wouldn’t be traced back to Pakistan, just as Iran now is using proxies to hide its current terrorism. The information provided by the source provides details of a new jihadist coalition with a focus on creating instability in the U.S.

The source said the regime views the Boston bombing as a successful terrorist attack in which fear was created, U.S. intelligence questioned and a sense of security diminished. There has yet to be any link to a specific group or country.

As WND reported exclusively April 22, the regime’s Quds Forces have done extensive planning on gatherings, events and high-value targets in the U.S., but for two years have focused on events such as the Boston Marathon. The Quds Forces run an extensive network of terrorists out of South Asia.

A Feb. 14, 2010, meeting in Iran either set up the new jihadist coalition or continued the coalition among the Quds Forces, Hezbollah and al-Qaida. The latter coalition was formed years ago by Imad Mugniyeh, the dead mastermind terrorist from Hezbollah, under the direction of Ahmad Vahidi, then the head of the Quds Forces and the current Iranian defense minister, to collaborate on their fight against the U.S.
At the 2010 meeting, Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Quds Forces; Seif Adel, the operational head of al-Qaida; and Mustafa Badr al-Din, the operational head of Hezbollah; devised a plan for operations against the U.S. under a new coalition, dubbed the “Coalition of Muslim Soldiers.” The coalition includes al-Shabaab, an al-Qaida offshoot based in Somalia, and has its central command in the Iranian city of Kerman. Command and control centers are located in the Iranian provinces of Kerman, Khorasan, Khuzestan, Kurdistan, and Sistan and Baluchistan, the source said.

The coalition, led by Soleimani, with Iran the main source of funding, is based on a strategic collaboration and devoid of ideological differences and opinions of Shiite and Sunni Marjas. The main operational commanders, mostly well-known terrorists, are:

1. Gen. Soleimani, the head of the Quds Forces with full power given to him by Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
2. Brig. Gen. Abdolreza Shahlabi of the Quds Forces.
3. Brig. Gen. Hamed Abdollahi of the Quds Forces.
4. Brig. Gen. Hossein Movahedian of the Quds Forces.
5. Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr of the Quds Forces.
6. Seif Adel, the operational head of al-Qaida.
7. Abdul Rahman Yasin of al-Qaida operations.
8. Abu Saeed al-Mesri of al-Qaida in Latin America.
9. Adnan ShokriJuma of al-Qaida in America.
10. Hakimalah Masoud of al-Qaida operations.
11. Mustafa Badr al-Din, the operations head of Hezbollah and the brother-in-law and cousin of the dead terrorist Imad Mugniyah, who now serves as Mugnyiah’s replacement as the military leader of Hezbollah and the deputy to the Quds’ Soliemani.
12. Talal Hamieh, the head of the External Security Organization, strategic planning and funding for Hezbollah in Venezuela. He commutes directly from Venezuela to Damascus, Syria, then to Lebanon and back.
13. Fozi Mohammad Mostafa of Hezbollah operations.
14. Mohammad Ali Hamdi of Hezbollah operations in Toronto, Canada. He targets nuclear power plants and other sites in Canada.
15. Ebrahim Saleh Mohammad al-Yaghoub of Hezbollah operations.
16. Mohammad Ahmad al-Monavar, the operations commander for Abu Nidal.
17. Jahad Servan Mostafa, the operations commander for al-Shabaab in Somalia.

Based on intelligence and infiltration by Western intelligence agencies into institutions, operations and cultural centers of radical Arab Islamists after 9/11, the new coalition recruits non-Arab Islamists from many other nationalities and Arabs from countries not on the hot list for American agencies.

Iran believes that the perception of security in America that has helped empower its actions in the Middle East must be turned 180 degrees, not only to defeat and derail all U.S. calculations based on gathered intelligence but to destabilize the political, economic and social conditions in America, the source said.

Based on that understanding, he said, the U.S. through its military might has kept the fight in the Islamic region and away from its homeland and its allies’ turf. Now continuous operations must be conducted in the U.S. homeland to change that equation, they believe.
More than 2,600 targets, including public places, government buildings and military installations, have been chosen for attack, and reconnaissance has been done. Information about some of the targets, based on direct knowledge of the source, has been given to U.S. officials to neutralize the threat and confront the terrorists. They include specific government buildings, news networks, malls and sports events.
This new coalition has also prepared for a major attack to avenge al-Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden’s killing to satisfy Seif Adel, the operational head of al-Qaida, for his collaboration with the Iranian regime.

The radical regime ruling Iran has set up several channels for financial support of the new coalition with its terrorist activities. Multiple commerce, cultural and financial institutions in the U.S. are part of that network. The connection includes individuals running businesses in Damascus and its connections to al-Qaida operatives in America.

Since 2001, more than $270 million has been invested in the expansion of mosques and Islamic centers in America by institutions in the Iranian city of Qom. As part of the coalition’s plan, some 27 mosques and Islamic centers in America are their target for collaboration, infiltration and recruitment of sympathizers for various missions, including reconnaissance and terrorist acts.

The source said the new coalition, due to its composition of different people in Central Asia, is a very complex organization.

Iranian leaders have given the go-ahead to a coalition of terrorists to attack American soil, in effect all but declaring war on the United States.

As I reported recently and according to a source in the Islamic regime’s intelligence apparatus, Iran created the Coalition of Muslim Soldiers to wreak havoc on the United States and its allies. The goal is to change the field of battle from the Middle East to the American homeland, and the opening salvos — if indeed the Boston bombing wasn’t the first — are due imminently unless U.S. authorities can short-circuit Tehran’s plans.

The source said the regime views the Boston bombing as a successful terrorist attack in which fear was created, U.S. intelligence was questioned and a sense of security was diminished. No link has been established yet to any group or nation for the Boston tragedy, which is the aim of this coalition of terrorists, formed by units of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, al Qaeda and Iran’s Quds Forces.

In a 2010 meeting, Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Quds Forces; Seif Adel, the operational head of al Qaeda; and Mustafa Badr al-Din, the operational head of Hezbollah, devised a plan for continued terrorist operations against America under a new coalition, dubbed the Coalition of Muslim Soldiers. It includes al-Shabab, an al Qaeda offshoot based in Somalia, and has its central command in the Iranian city of Kerman.

After the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists in recent years and again with the increase in sanctions, the Islamic regime’s supreme leader warned that the country’s strategy had changed to face “threats with threats,” a subliminal message that the regime will go on the offensive with terrorist covert operations. More recently, a senior commander of the Islamic regime had warned that terrorism was coming to America.

“If the people of America and Europe do not confront the aggressive policies of their governments, they cannot then remain far from the possible future [terrorist attacks],” Brig. Gen. Masoud Jazayeri, the regime’s armed forces deputy chief of staff, said in a Feb. 23 interview with Fars News Agency. Gen. Jazayeri, objecting to U.S. involvement in the Syrian civil war, warned that explosions similar to those in Syria would take place in other countries.

With the sanctions increasing the danger of an uprising against the regime, the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities and the fight to overthrow Bashar Assad in Syria, which Iran calls its red line, the regime gave the go-ahead to unleash its proxy terrorists on America and its economy and change the focus from the Middle East to America itself.

Targets have been chosen within America, and the terrorist teams have now cut communications with the operational center in Iran, a sign they are moving ahead with the attacks, according to a high-level intelligence officer within the regime.

Iran thinks that if even one of the attacks occurs, the operation would be a success and that it won’t be traced back to Iran because of the nationalities of the operatives, the source said.

Intelligence and infiltration by Western intelligence agencies into institutions, operations and cultural centers of radical Arab Islamists after Sept. 11, 2001, have discovered that the coalition is recruiting non-Arab Islamists from other nationalities and Arabs from countries not on the hot list of American agencies. Just look at the terrorist brothers who attacked the Boston Marathon.

Iranian leaders think the perception of security in America that has helped empower its actions in the Middle East must be turned 180 degrees, not only to derail all U.S. calculations, but to destabilize the political, economic and social conditions in America, the source said.

Iran is playing a dangerous game, one outside the scope of civilized nations. The Obama administration cannot afford to wait until another tragedy like the one in Boston happens.

At the very least, the regime should be put on notice that any terrorist attack on U.S. soil or interests around the world will have severe consequences. If the Iranian regime doesn’t end its pursuit of nuclear weapons and shut down its terrorist operations, the United States must isolate it economically so that its already-battered economy cries uncle — or so its already-fed-up population rises up against the tyranny of the clerics. If and when that happens, the United States must provide the people of Iran the support they need to bring down these international criminals.

If there is another attack on American soil, President Obama must use all the resources at his disposal to ascertain where the order to attack came from. When he does, he must go beyond sanctions and strike at the root of this evil.

UN Warns: Mexican Border 'Global Pathway' to U.S. for Illegals from Horn of Africa

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) recently released a report, "Transnational Organized Crime in Central America and the Caribbean," that identifies both Mexican cartels and street gangs as conduits for individuals from Africa and Asia entering the U.S illegally. The report identifies the Islamic terrorist haven of Somalia as being one of the nations from which the illegal U.S. bound border-crossers are originating.

The UN Threat Assessment--which refers to illegal aliens as “irregular migrants”--states:

Central Americans are not the only ones being smuggled through Mexico to the United States. Irregular migrants from the Horn of Africa (Eritrea, Somalia, and Ethiopia), as well as South Asia (Bangladesh, Nepal, India), China, and other African and Asian states are being smuggled through Central America.

The National Counter-Terrorism Center (NCTC), which serves as the primary organization in the United States Government for integrating and analyzing all intelligence pertaining to counterterrorism, states that much of Somalia was taken over by Al-Shabaab, the militant wing of the Somali Council of Islamic Courts, before it entered a phase of on-and-off control of various key regions of the failed nation.

Similarly, the nonpartisan Council on Foreign Relations in-depth analysis of Somalia states:

Its porous borders mean that individuals can enter without visas, and once inside the country, enjoy an almost complete lack of law enforcement. Somalia has long served as a passageway from Africa to the Middle East based on its coastal location on the Horn of Africa, just a boat ride away from Yemen. These aspects make Somalia a desirable haven for transnational terrorists, something Al-Qaeda has tried to capitalize on before, and is trying again now.

The UN report reveals that it costs approximately $7,500 for an individual to reach the U.S. from Somalia illegally.

The report further reveals that once someone from Africa or Asia enters Central America, their journey into the U.S. follows the same paths and methods used by Mexicans to enter the U.S. illegally.

Huge Influx of Mexican Illegals Putting Strain On ICE, U.S. Shelling out for Hotel Rooms!

A sudden influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico requesting asylum is overwhelming immigration agents in San Diego, forcing agencies to rent hotel rooms for some undocumented families and release others to cities around the U.S.

Documents obtained exclusively by Fox News show Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been paying for hotel rooms for dozens of recently arrived families to relieve overcrowding inside the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa, Calif., processing centers. Some ICE employees are working overtime and others have been asked to volunteer to work weekend shifts. “Duties include intake, placements, transports and release of family groups and unaccompanied minors,” according to a memo obtained by Fox News.


The surge has raised suspicions about what is driving the influx, amid claims that illegal immigrants have learned they can attempt to get asylum by using a few key words — namely, by claiming they have a “credible fear” of drug cartels.


“This clearly has to have been orchestrated by somebody,” said former U.S. Attorney for Southern California Peter Nunez. “It’s beyond belief that dozens or hundreds or thousands of people would simultaneously decide that they should go to the U.S. and make this claim.”


Sources say one day last week, 200 border-crossers came through the Otay Mesa Port of Entry claiming asylum while and as many as 550 overflowed inside the processing center there and in nearby San Ysidro.


“People were sleeping on floors – they had nowhere to put them,” said one source, a long-time border agent and supervisor. “This shouldn’t be happening. Unless there is an immediate and well-publicized policy change, this situation will become another debacle.”


At a hotel near San Diego — which Fox News agreed not to identify for security reasons — ICE vans arrived several times over the weekend with immigrant families. They were escorted to the second floor by two armed, uniformed agents. Two border agents secured the entrance and side door.


Documents obtained by Fox News show that recently on a single day, dozens of illegal immigrants were being transferred to an area hotel where rooms cost $99 a night. Others were released to addresses in Texas, Florida and even Brooklyn, N.Y.


ICE sources say the addresses are almost always bogus. When they don’t show up for court, they are removed by an immigration judge in absentia.
Most of the immigrants came from Mexico, but others listed their native country as Haiti, Romania, Guatemala and Iraq. Some were over age 50, others were under a year old. Thirty were transported to a hotel. Seventy were released around the country.


Fox News spoke to four agencies responsible for the San Diego situation last week. All deferred to the Department of Homeland Security press office in Washington, D.C., which issued this statement:


“Credible fear determinations are dictated by long standing statute, not an issuance of discretion. The USCIS officer must find that a ‘significant possibility’ exists that the individual may be found eligible for asylum or withholding or removal.


“If the credible fear threshold is met, the individual is placed into removal proceedings in Immigration Court. The final decision on asylum eligibility rests with an immigration judge.”


It is during this time – during removal proceedings – when illegal immigrants are released. Many don’t show up, as 91 percent of asylum claims from Mexico are denied.
Asylum claims from Mexico are highly unusual and critics say this is an orchestrated sham – it’s not about getting asylum, they say, but about overwhelming the system and getting a free pass into the U.S. and a court date for which no one will show up.


“Hundreds of thousands of people have never returned and the list of people for whom warrants are outstanding is phenomenal,” said Nunez. “We have a long history of people absconding from immigration hearings of one sort of another, they just blend back into the community.”


ICE sources say an estimated 600,000 to 800,000 illegal immigrants a year do not show up for their court date and disappear into the U.S.


The number of asylum claims is on the rise, almost tripling the last four years. Most come from Chinese, Egyptian and Ethiopian immigrants. Fewer than 200 a year come from Mexico, let alone 200 in a day. However, by claiming they have a “credible fear of persecution” if returned to Mexico, the immigrant is entitled to a series of interviews, hearings, proceedings and appeals that can drag on for years.


The initial evaluation usually is done in the border processing center by an asylum officer employed by USCIS.


An immigration spokesman said last week: “The legal threshold for ‘credible fear’ is broad and low to ensure individuals who may face a ‘significant possibility’ of persecution … have the opportunity to have their case heard before an immigration judge.”


Last week, an asylum officer heard the claims of the “Dream 9,” nine Mexican nationals brought to the U.S. as children. Even though seven of the nine lived, worked and went to school in Mexico without incident, they were granted asylum. Most thought they would be deported.


“The order from Washington are to simply turn these people loose,” said Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform. “All you have to say is you qualify for the Dream Act and or you intent to apply and they’re instructed by their higher ups to simply turn these people loose, to set them free and let them pursue any path they want.”


There are 57 immigration courts and 231 immigration judges. Immigration courts handle 280,000 proceedings each year — an average of 1,243 per year per judge, or four decisions per day.


Asylum can be granted if the applicant has suffered past persecution or has a “well-founded fear of persecution” on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a social group, or political opinion in their native country.

My parents brought me here from the former Soviet Union when I was just 8 years old. At the time I didn’t really understand why I was here, why we left and why my parents were so happy to have arrived in America.


I learned eventually.


Even though I didn’t rationally understand what this nation was about, and what the nation I escaped was, the raw thoughts were there, and they formed into ideas gradually.


I never thought in a million years of leaving the country my parents fought so hard to enter – or the citizenship they worked so hard to attain. I have always been proud of my American citizenship. I joined the military, because I love this country. I serve, protect and defend the Constitution of these United States for those same reasons to this day.


I cannot imagine what these expats are thinking or feeling. But I’m beginning to understand why.

Globally, more U.S. citizens have renounced their citizenship in the first and second quarters than all of 2012 combined, and 2013 is already on track to becoming a record year for renunciations. A total of 1,130 names appeared on the latest list of renunciations from the Internal Revenue Service, according to Andrew Mitchel, a tax lawyer who tracks the data. That is far above the previous high of 679, set in the first quarter, and more than were reported in all of 2012.
While those numbers are still a fraction of the estimated six million Americans living abroad, lawyers say the main trigger for cutting ties with U.S. recently is the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, or Fatca, which requires foreign institutions to disclose the overseas assets of U.S. green-card holders and citizens to the U.S. government.

These people are being harassed and targeted by their own government. “My decision was less about the actual amount of taxes I had to pay, and more about the system,” said one investment banker, who renounced his U.S. citizenship and is now a Hong Kong citizen. “I’m not an ultrawealthy dude. It was the hassle with all the paperwork”
Why?


Because somehow our government feels like it hasn’t sucked enough blood, sweat and tears from its citizens. Because somehow, it wants more. Because somehow, it’s never enough.


Not all of these people are ultra-rich, trying to avoid paying taxes. The US is the only nation in the OECD that taxes citizens no matter where they reside. So these American citizens wind up paying for infrastructure they don’t use, government services they don’t need and funding programs for people with whom they do not live, because many of them have been living outside the United States for years. And they will have to pay that money to the IRS – with penalties and interest.


And then there’s the forms and inevitable bureaucracy, which requires foreign banking institutions to get information on US citizens who happen to have accounts with them and hand it over to the IRS.
The result?

Many Americans residing overseas are reporting banking lock-out. Many foreign financial institutions have simply chosen to eliminate their US citizens and US person client basis in order to minimize their exposure to FATCA reporting requirements, withholding fees and potential penalties.

This is the result – again – of a government that is out of control. This is politicians laying claim to your earnings – no matter where you might reside. This is elected scum thinking it’s entitled to your work and your achievements.


You don’t believe me? Listen to Keith Ellison, who thinks the government has a RIGHT to yet more of your money! Ellison, a Prognazi Marxist representative from Minnesota, says there’s no problem! There’s plenty of money! It’s just the government doesn’t have it!


What Keith Ellison and leeches like him do not understand is that the government is individuals elected by the people. The government is representatives who get their power and authority from the people who elect them. There is no “government right.” Rights belong to individuals, not to an entity called the government, and NO individual has the right to steal another individual’s earnings at the point of a gun!


Government is power.


Government is guns.


We delegate certain rights to the government, such as defense. We have the right to self defense, and we have the right to delegate that authority to our government on a larger scale. That right still belongs to each individual. We do not cede it by delegating it. We simply give the government the authority to act on our behalf.


It is a service, and we pay taxes for that service as a society.


But when that government uses its guns (or the threat of arrest) to relieve us of our rights, that’s when things go wrong.


When that government uses its power to create new “rights” while violating existing ones, that’s when things go wrong.


So when leeches like Keith Ellison claim a “right” to our property and our earnings, it’s time to tell them to stop!


It’s not like we don’t pay enough taxes. Federal, state, local, sales, Social Security, Medicare, property taxes, fuel taxes, federal corporate income tax share, estate tax, fees, licenses, inflation losses, inheritance, deficit allowance, gift taxes, etc.


But Keith Ellison thinks we ought to pay more, and he and his progressive cabal in Congress deserve even more, so they can spend it how they see fit, and that they have a better understanding of how your money should be spent than you do. Because it really doesn’t matter, you see, that you did not ask for the “service” Keith Ellison and the rest of the parasites in Washington want to “provide.”


“Services” like soccer fields for the terrorists being kept at Guantanamo Bay, grad students in Indonesia, tattoo removal programs for gang bangers, research on sex habits of Japanese quail and video games, social and environmental programs in China, museums that obviously could not make a profit on their own and required government funding, “artists” who had the same problem, and genital washing research in South Africa.


And now, the politicians in Washington think they have the right to demand even more of your money to fund even more of their stupidity.
Is it an wonder that Americans are leaving in droves, and giving up their citizenship?


It has become quite obvious that their government has become their ruler, not a service. It has become quite obvious that the deadbeats in Washington that produce nothing have no respect for the hard work and the earnings of the people who elected them.


So they are leaving.


I haven’t given up on this country yet. But I do think that people need to understand that their votes have consequences, and putting freeloaders in power year after year has consequences.


When the rich whom they victimize, and whose bones they pick clean have no more left to give, and those who have had enough have left the country, they will turn to what we now consider the “middle class” as the new “rich” whom they can suck dry. And when the “middle class” becomes indigent, and every producer has either lost everything or left the country, whom will they have left to loot?

Iranian commander: We have targets within America



A top commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards boasted Saturday that his forces have plans in place to attack the United States from within, should the U.S. attack the Islamic Republic.

“America, with its strategic ignorance, does not have a full understanding of the power of the Islamic Republic,” Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami said in a televised interview. “We have recognized America’s military strategy, and have arranged our abilities, and have identified centers in America [for attack] that will create a shock.”

Reports indicate that terrorist Hezbollah forces — allies of Iran — have infiltrated the U.S. and have mapped out targets.

“We will conduct such a blow in which they [America] will be destroyed from within,” Salami said.

This is the second warning by a high-ranking officer of the Guards in two weeks. The chief commander of the Guards, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jafari, addressing Secretary of State John Kerry, said on Jan. 24 that a direct conflict with America is the “strongest dream of the faithful and revolutionary men around the world.”

Kerry had previously said that if Iran did not live up to the agreement reached in Geneva on its nuclear program, “all options are on the table.”

“Your threats to revolutionary Islam are the best opportunity,” Jafari had said. “Muslim leaders for years have been preparing us for a decisive battle.… Do you know how many thousands of revolutionary Muslims at the heart of the Islamic revolutionary groups around the world are awaiting for you to take this [military] option from the table into action?”

Gen. Salami went further, saying the Revolutionary Guards have taken into consideration America’s military ability and different scenarios under which the U.S. could attack Iran via a limited missile or air strike, or even a ground attack.

“All operational bases of the enemy in the region in whatever capacity and location are within our firepower,” Salami warned. “The American military option does not make a difference for us, and they can use this option, but they will have to accept the responsibility of devastating consequences.”

Salami asked whether America could control the spread of any war with the Islamic Republic: “Can they preserve their vital interest in the region in the face of endless attacks by Iran? Can they keep their naval assets and the Zionist regime [Israel] secure?”

Salami said that with the U.S. economy and debt, America is in no position to engage Iran militarily.

The general then taunted Washington, citing Iran’s political and cultural influence in Iraq. “The current has changed for the Americans so much so that they invest [by invading Iraq] and others [Iran] benefit.”
