That definitely looks like a jet contrail, namely one made at altitude. It is very thin and completely unlike the California trail which was very wide.

I also don't think it was headed in a vertical direction as the person being interviewed states. As for its speed, it could well have been a military aircraft operating just below supersonic since it was over land.

Another ‘Mystery Missile’ in the Skies Over Texas?

Last November, the Pentagon dismissed rumors of a mysterious missile launch off the coast of California, claiming it was the contrail of an airplane landing in Los Angeles.

Two months later, the Pentagon may once again have to battle rumors of a “missile” launch, this time off the southern coast of Texas. Video via KIII-TV:

Dunno Phil. Could be. In the other one we could at least see the body producing the clouds. I've seen similar things here after contrails start to fall apart, HOWEVER, I will say that the winds aloft on a level are generally in the same direction whereas you can have winds aloft that change directions at various heights.... could cause that too

In case you can't guess, this is the aftermath of a MISSILE LAUNCH!

Specifically, a certain kind of missile using SOLID FUEL rockets.

SPECIFICALLY, this is the launch of one of the shuttle missions!

So, does this picture add or detract from evidence of the California plume.

Adds to the evidence in CA.

I don't have any of the videos or photos any more here. But several of them after the rocket plume started to break up looked exactly like that.

That "missile" was exactly that, a missile that had a solid fuel booster.
