just watched the show. savage's book "trickle up poverty" focuses on the same trends of marxist-leninist ideals and tracing them from WWI communists up to obama.
my words amount to literally 2cents. but i'd like to pass on these words on how to combat the socialist (and eventually communist) takeover of our country:

use our #1 commonality to "rejoin" our american heritage: judeo-christian values!! i don't mean ram them down people's throats. don't teach it in school as a religion! teach it as a VALUE! Teach that our constitution was based on judeo-christian values. use that common ground to get latins and black american's back on American patriotism. DO NOT teach that any other religion (or lack thereof) is evil! Instead, do JUST the opposite: ANY attack on ANY religion is evil! IT"S THE ONLY WAY!!!!!
you know, it's funny. i steered away from christian churches a LONG time ago. why? they were all hypocrites and elitists. a "lot" of the hard leaning leftists I know have this same opinion. so i say this to you, TAA, do not JUDGE anyone! PRACTICE the word of God, do not preach it to those who may have deaf ears. live the life of a poor man around men who have money. live the life of a person who isn't "so smart" around the intellectual elite. live the life of a person who isn't "good looking" around the "cute and fancy". live the life of a person who has made a mistake around people who have never made one. ONLY then, will you understand suffering and why american's are angry at one another. christianity is supposed to teach that we are all equal. but yet we create and indulge in mechanisms to compare our worth to our neighbors.

Alright, had a chance to view this DVD the other night.
Great value for $21 delivered! Excellent production value and a lot of information detailing Communism's plans from its inception and how its plan is in progress.
The only real "con" I can see with this video is that if you've spent any significant amount of time here on this site, you are less likely to learn anything new. There wasn't a lot of new information I picked up but I did learn how some of these leftist groups network and fit together. The only other thing some might construe as a "con" is that the video gets into discussion of the Judeo-Christian heritage of our nation but, I think that is integral when discussing about keeping America rooted in its founding and this documentary doesn't do so in an overbearing manner.
I would also add, this is the first time I have seen in video my interpretation of the Left/Right political scale. If you watch this, you'll see what I mean.
I will say, I believe it is and will be an excellent tool for your family and friends to introduce them to what is in essence the big picture of what is going on in the world today. The video came with a couple business style cards with the URL and video information on them. I've got a couple Conservative coworkers that I plan to give those cards to and encourage them to order the video. While they are good Conservatives, I don't think they understand the depth and breadth of what is happening and this video will be invaluable in informing them.
I highly recommend picking up this documentary if not to learn from yourself then to make a habit to show to family, friends, and anyone else receptive.

Had a discussion last night with my niece, who is the daughter of my sister who passed away last year.
She is voting for this "Gary Johnson" clown. Posted some stuff on FB (you two might have seen some of the blathering, not sure) where she was saying that she was voting for him because "None of the above" wasn't listed and that she liked his policies better than Romney or Obama.
After a long discussion I came to realize that actually she doesn't know shit about policies. She just reads a few things, makes a decision based on something she "heard" in an ad. (She said "Romney said let Detroit go bankrupt" and I had to find a link to prove that isn't what he actually said. She was... aghast... that he didn't say it. How could all those people telling her this be LYING?

The fact that we have to dumb stuff down for "the cud chewing sheeple" is bad enough. What's worse is stubbornness of people like her (and others I know) who've made up their minds based on emotional BS that has been fed to them before we could get there with the facts.
In other words, this race is still going to be damned close and they will NEVER believe that Obama can do a worse job than he has and Romney is going to "destroy the planet".
