FNC has reported there are thousands in the streets fighting with the police right now.
Also the government has shut down the cell phone systems and the internet. There are about 80 million people in Egypt - and very little way to get information out.
Fox News had several cameras smashed by the authorities as have several other news agencies. The government appears to be trying to prevent ANY information from getting out at this point.

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt's benchmark index recorded its biggest drop in over two years Thursday, plummeting more than 10 percent as anti-government protests rattled investor confidence and left Hosni Mubarak's regime facing its most serious challenge in years.
The EGX30 index closed down 10.5 percent to 5,646.50 points, capping a two day slide that brought its year-to-date losses to almost 21 percent. The market had tumbled 6.25 percent just 15 minutes into the session before trading was temporarily suspended. But the pause seemed to cement investor fears, and the drop continuing with the market's resumption.
The day's drop built on a 6.1 percent decline on Wednesday — a plunge fueled by the massive anti-government protests that mirrored earlier demonstrations in Tunisia that led to the ouster of that country's president.
"It's clear today that the inability to control the situation in the streets yesterday is panicking investors," said Ahmed Hanafi, a broker with Guthour Trading. "The drop we saw yesterday is being repeated. At this rate, it's going to continue to fall hard."
The protests began on Tuesday, with tens of thousands of demonstrators engulfing the capital, Cairo, and other cities, and clashing with riot police in violence that left at least six people dead. The violence and protests, albeit on a smaller scale, continued Wednesday, shattering expectations that they would be summarily quashed by the powerful security forces.
"The weakness in the market is stronger after trading was suspended," said Mostafa Abdel-Aziz, a broker with Beltone Financial, a regional investment bank based in Cairo. "During the break, investors had a chance to assess the situation."
The continued fall in the index — the biggest single day drop since October 2008 — reflected their unease, he said, adding that some shares had dropped by as much as 25 percent. All sectors were affected.
The anger on the streets has focused on the 82-year-old Mubarak and his government, with protesters calling for his ouster and demanding action to end a litany of economic and political ills including rising food and housing prices, unemployment, a widening income distribution gap that has fueled poverty in the Arab world's most populous nation.
While Egyptian officials have boasted about healthy economic growth figures, critics have argued that the ambitious economic reforms launched in 2005 — and which led to GDP growth rates of over 7 percent just a few years ago — have done little more than make the rich even richer.
The pummeling on the stock market hits at the core of some of the Mubarak regime's main accomplishments. The president, who has ruled Egypt for nearly 30 years, has built his legacy continuing and expanding the open market policies launched by his predecessor, Anwar Sadat, in the 1970s.
State industries have largely been privatized, the Egyptian real estate sector was one of the few in the world that escaped largely unscathed from the global economic meltdown in 2008 and 2009 and the banking sector fared well given it was not victim to the subprime mortgage mess that helped precipitate the world's worst recession in over six decades.
Traders said that investors had hoped to see indications at least of an end to the unrest in the country, where roughly 40 percent live on or below the World Bank determined poverty line of under $2 per day.
But expectations that the rallies would continue Friday, the start of the weekend in much of the Arab world, have undercut that hope. Nobel peace laureate Mohamed ElBaradei is expected to take part in rallies in Cairo on Friday, according to his spokesman. His presence could, if not further galvanize the demonstrators, at least place at their forefront an internationally respected diplomat — a move that could further force the government's hand.
"There's a very big question mark about the weekend, and no one wants to hold a long position," said Abdel-Aziz, adding that the media coverage of the protests has contributed to the negative sentiment on the market and has particularly affected foreign investors' perspective.
"It's a huge panic, and it's a huge panic for internal reasons," he said. "This is new for the market. The panics before used to be for external reasons" such as the Dubai's financial meltdown or a reaction to declines in major international stock markets.

LONDON—Escalating anti-regime protests in Egypt are increasing perceptions of political risk in the region, pressuring currencies and driving up the cost of insuring government debt against default.
Foreign banks have total exposure of $44 billion as of the end of September, according to the Bank for International Settlements. European banks lead the league tables, with French institutions accounting for the largest share.
The cost to investors of Egyptian debt insurance has gone up 25% this week, adding pressure on debt issued by other governments in the region as investors worry about the spread of political instability.
Street protests against the 30-year rule of President Hosni Mubarak come hard on the heels of riots by pro-democracy activists in Tunisia, who forced their own autocratic leader, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, out of office.
Egypt's five-year credit default swap spread rose Friday to 410 basis points, 22 basis points wider than Thursday's closing level and up from 312 basis points at the end of trade last Friday, according to data-provider Markit.
A rise of one basis point in the cost of five-year CDS equates to a $1,000 rise in the annual cost of protecting $10 million of debt for five years. CDS, a measure of default risk, are derivatives that function like a default insurance contract for debt. If a borrower defaults, sellers compensate buyers.
CDS don't trade on all sovereign debt in the region, but those that do saw similar moves Friday. Morocco, Israel, Qatar and Saudi Arabia all traded wider.
Each country has its own idiosyncratic story, but investors' perceptions of North Africa are shifting as the political instability continues.
"Uncertainty is increasingly breeding extreme caution from investors, holding back, at least in the short term, foreign direct investment and portfolio flows, with non-negligible effects on growth and the financing of large current account deficits, notably in Egypt," said analysts at Barclays Capital.
"This naturally weighs on the credit profiles of some of the countries in the region," the analysts added.
Morocco's CDS spread was 12 basis points wider on the day at 192 basis points, compared with 156 basis points last Friday, according to Markit. Israel's was 12 basis points wider at 137 basis points, compared with 115 basis points last Friday.
The region is undergoing "a repricing of political risk," one strategist said. After a long period of calm, reflected by relatively tight CDS spreads, these levels have ratcheted up in line with the spreading volatility.
The Egyptian CDS spread was around 240 basis points before the anti-government riots in Tunisia that toppled the government there Jan. 14.
While the CDS on Saudi Arabia barely trades, its pricing has been pushed up by around 20 basis points since last Friday to sit at 95 basis points.
In currency trading, the Egyptian pound is under selling pressure, and the forwards market in the Saudi Arabian riyal shows that traders are positioning for a fall in that currency over the next three months.
The Turkish lira and Israeli shekel are also falling, in part because of the blow to investor sentiment toward the region.
"The unrest is certainly having a bit of an impact on sentiment on other currencies in the region," said Nigel Rendell, emerging markets currency strategist at RBC Capital Markets.
The Saudi Arabian riyal is a pegged currency and doesn't move from SAR3.75 against the dollar. But the forwards market for the riyal has been under highly unusual pressure for the past two days, signaling that investors are positioning themselves for a future drop in the currency.
"That sends off alarm bells," said Hisham Al Kurdi, chief currencies dealer in the region for BNP Paribas in Manama, Bahrain.
European banks had total exposure of $37.5 billion as of last September, according to the Bank of International Settlements in Basel. The sums include claims on Egyptian banks, the public sector, businesses and households.
According to the BIS, French banks' exposure was relatively large at $17.1 billion at the end of Sep. 2010; German banks' claims on Egypt stood at $1.1 billion; Italian banks' exposure was $6.2 billion, while UK banks' exposure was $10.6 billion.
The exposure of U.S. banks was relatively low at $5.1 billion, according to the BIS. Japanese banks were listed as having exposure of less than $1 billion.
The BIS said total international exposure may be even larger because total foreign claims don't include exposure to derivatives contracts, guarantees and credit lines.

I heard it from Fox News Channel. I am working (at work) and have the computer news feed turned on and listening to it live.
I take about 90% of what they say as gospel because they tend to validate their news, and if they don't they say so - "We can't verify this independently yet..." is something they will say. So far, they haven't done this.
