VIDEO: Veterans to Obama: You Turned Your Back on Us, So We Will Turn Ours on You…Literally

President Obama’s visit to Delaware was not met with all cheers and admiration as his photo-op shots might suggest. BuzzPo reports that a group of 25 veterans decided to show Obama just what they think about his poor treatment of America’s veterans. Eric Reed, founder of Gun Rights Across America, spoke with the organizer of the back turning protest, Martin Nicholson.

A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, Nicholson gives the command to around 25 veterans to turn their backs to Barack Obama’s passing motorcade at approximately the 35-second mark. (Watch Video Below) They remain with their backs turned until the 1:08-mark.

    http://www.tpnn.com/2014/07/18/video...-youliterally/

Reed reports on his conversation with Nicholson, who also happens to be the Northeast Regional Coordinator for Gun Rights Across America.
When I spoke with Nicholson earlier today, he stated “Obama’s not doing anything to protect our veterans. He wants to ban the importation of the AK-47 rifle, but he refuses to help our veterans who were shot at by them!” Nicholson also advised that he’ll be at the Delaware State Capitol Building with a group this Saturday, to protest the large amount of illegal aliens flowing into Delaware.

I think I speak for all of us when I say, I can’t ever remember a U.S. President who has disrespected our men and women who have honorably served the nation they love, more than Barack Hussein Obama. Seeing our veterans awaiting the passing motorcade to send that man the message of their disapproval can be summarized with one epic phrase: “OOH-RAH!”
Delaware Online reports that Oath Keepers and Three Corners Patriots were also present to participate in this protest. Believing that Obama should be focusing on other issues around the country, like the VA Scandal and the illegal alien invasion, rather than being in Delaware for a photo-op, protest organizer Nicholson said, “We feel he’s turned his back on us veterans, so we’re going to turn our backs on him as he drives by on his motorcade to show our appreciation that he does not care about us veterans.”
Participant John Stroud added, “Take care of your own first. There are Americans that need help first. I think there are more important things you could be doing than coming to Delaware to look at a bridge.”

A third of Americans support Obama's impeachment

A new CNN poll shows that 33% of U.S. voters believe President Obama should be impeached while a majority (65%) think he should keep his Oval Office.

Sarah Palin has a third of Americans in her corner.

A new CNN poll shows that 33% of U.S. voters believe President Obama should be impeached while a majority (65%) think he should keep his Oval Office.

But those pushing for an Obama ouster are just a hair more than the scoffers in 2006 who called for W. Bush's impeachment.

In 2006, year two of Bush’s second term, 30% of Americans responded that Bush should go.

At that time, 48% responded that Bush had “gone too far” by expanding the power of the presidency.

In 2014, 45% responded that Obama had gone too far.

Impeachment chatter started this summer, when Palin declared Obama’s failed governance made him worthy of the “I-word.”

But other Republicans, while critical of the President, have tried to tone down her red meat rhetoric.

“I‘ve met Sarah Palin a few times, I like her, I think she’s entitled to her opinion — say whatever she wants to say. My view would be, at this point, pushing for impeachment isn’t productive,” former Vice President Dick Cheney told CNN.

“I’m not prepared, at this point, to call for the impeachment of the president. I think he is the worst president of my lifetime... but I think that gets to be a bit of a distraction just like the impeachment of Bill Clinton did,” he added.

Current House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has also said he disagrees with Palin's impeachment talk.

Obama could be impeached, White House aide says

Gregory Korte, USA TODAY 10:41 a.m. EDT July 25, 2014

WASHINGTON -- A top aide to President Obama said it's possible that Obama could be impeached by the Republican-con
    trolled House of Representatives.

House Speaker John Boehner's decision to proceed with a lawsuit against the president has "opened the door" to the third presidential impeachment in the nation's history, Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters at a Friday breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor.

"Impeachment is a very serious thing that has been bandied about by the recent Republican vice presidential nominee and various others in a very un-serious way," he said, referring to former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

Boehner has said he disagrees with that strategy, but Pfeiffer said "it would be foolish to say Republicans would not consider going down that path."

    ONPOLITICS

Boehner disagrees with Sarah Palin on impeaching Obama

Pfeiffer was quick to add that "no one has alleged anything that is even six universes from what is generally considered" to be an impeachable offense.

Impeachment is the bringing of charges against a president or federal judge by the House of Representatives. A president can only be removed after a trial on those charges by the Senate.

Michelle Obama to backers: Write 'big fat' checks

First lady Michelle Obama had some pretty basic advice Thursday for Democrats in Chicago.
    Write big checks.

At a fundraiser in the Windy City, Mrs. Obama talked about this year's congressional elections, and told donors that "there is something you can do right now today to make a difference -- and that is to write a big fat check."

She added: "I kid you not. I'm going to be honest with you. That's what we need you to do right now. We need you to write the biggest fattest check that you can possibly write."

Contributing money is "the single most impactful thing you can do right now," Mrs. Obama said.

"When you dig deep, when you max out," she said, "that translates into staff hired and offices opened and ads running where they need to run."

BREAKING: House Committee Votes to Officially Approve Lawsuit Against Obama

    Posted on by tomfernandez28

President Obama has blatantly and admittedly abused his Executive power. There has been a growing sense that he must be stopped, and the balance of power between the Executive and Legislative branches restored.
Speaker of the House John Boehner announced last month that he intended to sue Obama over his “abuse of power”.
A House Committee has been working on the potential lawsuit, and has narrowed down the scope to just Obamacare, namely Obama’s numerous unilateral delays and changes to the law.

Boehner Puts A Stop To The White House’s School Yard Impeachment Dare

    By Cultural Limits on • ( )
There will be no sticking of Republicans’ tongues to the proverbial flagpole
Nice try, White House, but the Republican leadership isn’t falling for it even if the entire administration needs to go to jail:
Talk of impeachment was cooked up by a White House desperate for something to rally Democrats ahead of November’s elections, House Speaker John A. Boehner said Tuesday, flatly ruling out any action on the controversial suggestion.

“We have no plans to impeach the president. We have no future plans,” Mr. Beohner said. “Listen, it’s all a scam started by Democrats at the White House.”

Democrats have acknowledged impeachment talk has been good for their fundraising, but also say there’s some fire behind all the smoke. On Tuesday, congressional Democrats circulated a list of GOP candidates and sitting lawmakers who have said they want to see President Obama be impeached. SOURCE – The Washington Times
No president in American history has deserved to be impeached more than Barack Obama, but due to the political climate and some basic realities, like, the Senate not being in Republican control, any attempt to do so would be chalked up to a political stunt no matter how sincere the effort. It’s basically a nuclear option for both sides when public opinion finally is turned all the way against the Obama regime.

If there was any argument with this move, it is completely blaming the White House for putting impeachment into the public discussion. That started with a conservative pundit who whipped up a frenzy. As all sources are reporting, it did wonders for Democratic fundraising.

George Washington warns the nation in his Farewell Address, that love of power will tend to create a real despotism in America unless proper checks and balances are maintained to limit government power 1796 | The Portable Library of Liberty

    by Mr. Blacksheep on 07/29/2014

The first President, George Washington, warns the nation in his Farewell Address, that love of power will tend to create a real despotism in America unless proper checks and balances are maintained to limit government power:

“It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free Country should inspire caution in those entrusted with its administration, to confine themselves within their respective Constitutional spheres; avoiding in the exercise of the Powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position.”

White House, National Security Council declare leaked Obama/Netanyahu call ‘totally false’

.@statedeptspox on leak of purported xcript of Obama/Bibi call: "If true, would be a severe violation of a private diplomatic discussion.”—
    Matt Lee (@APDiploWriter) July 29, 2014

The transcript of a phone call between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has allegedly been leaked to Israel’s Channel 1, prompting the U.S. State Department to call the leak “a severe violation of a private diplomatic discussion.”

An English transcript of the alleged phone call can be found at the Times of Israel. As translated by the Times, the call begins:

Barack Obama: I demand that Israel agrees to an immediate, unilateral ceasefire and halt all offensive activities, in particular airstrikes.

Benjamin Netanyahu: And what will Israel receive in exchange for a ceasefire?

BO: I believe that Hamas will cease its rocket fire — silence will be met with silence.

BN: Hamas broke all five previous ceasefires. It’s a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of Israel.

BO: I repeat and expect Israel to stop all its military activities unilaterally. The pictures of destruction in Gaza distance the world from Israel’s position.

The White House has told The Daily Beast’s Eli Lake that the transcript is a fake.

Never before has Americans been subjected to such an unrelenting streak of disgraceful and antithetical controversies, political havoc and chaos

The time to rid our nation of the Communist plague is now!

    By Obie Usategui July 29, 2014 | Comments| Print friendly |

Never before in the history of our nation have Americans been subjected to such an unrelenting streak of disgraceful and antithetical controversies, political havoc and chaos such as that we have endured under the Barack Obama administration. Never before in the history of the nation, has there been such divisiveness amongst the classes, the races and the peoples in general, such as what we now see under an Obama reign plagued with discord, envy, resentment, and anger like never before seen in this noble land.

The metamorphosis of the United States of America in the last six years, simply said, is just unheard of; out-of-control - a testament to one man’s pre-election commitment to“fundamentally transforming” the nation, made on October 18, 2008. As every new day dawns, Americans wake up to yet new scandals, both at home and abroad. From Benghazi to Afghanistan, to Libya, to Egypt, to North Korea and Iran’s defiant built-up of their nuclear programs; to a dejected Benjamin Netanyahu waging war against the Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas - Palestine’s terrorist protégé, preempted from a back-up commitment of its foremost ally, the United States of America; to Russia’s President and KGB’s favorite son Vladimir Putin’s all-out effort to regain the Soviet’s might and sovereignty over the Ukraine and other former satellite states of the pre cold-war era; to a downed Malaysian plane carrying 23 Americans shot by Russian supplied missiles to insurgent Ukrainian separatist forces.

From a nation now indebted by 17 trillion dollars to a downtrodden healthcare system now adhering to a law inconspicuously concealed from mainstream Americans; to a disparaged V.A. Administration, ultimately responsible for the death of an unknown number of war-veterans. From an unmanageable mass exodus south of the border to femme-fatale IRS’s Lois Lerner infamous coverup of the agency’s attempts to hinder certain organizations’ futile attempts to gaining tax exempt gratifications solely based on their political views and preferences… the nation’s chaotic turmoil is, simply said, irrepressibly out of control.
Obama: A controversial impostor of dubious birth-rights; with Islamic origins, born to Communist parents, cared to by Communist grandparents; professed tutor of the Saul Alinsky’s model

All the while, at center-stage of the dismantlement is none other than our clownish President, Barack Obama, given fully to priorities such as staging fund-raising “photo-ops”. And, yes, all the while, as mainstream Americans derisively disengage themselves from politics altogether as they have for the most part of the last decades, hence, emboldening the mayhem culprits to continue doing as they please. This is, mind you, the same cadre of Americans that elected this man to be our president in 2008 and then again, in 2012.

Beware, if you will, of allowing ourselves to continue looking upon this universe of American separatists as merely naive, incredulous, disbelieving, skeptical, doubtful, or unconvinced, as they are not. They were, for such time as the rest of us, succumbed to a Freudian spell of romantic acceptance, which had us believing they meant no harm whatsoever, but the truth is, they did. They harbored the same resentments and envies, such as those harbored by their President Barack Obama; the same as those relied upon by Karl Marx’s and Friedrich Engels’ in their Communist Manifesto of 1848 while rallying support for a world-wide revolution of the workers of the world.

Barack Obama, the President of the United States of America; a controversial impostor; a man of dubious birth-rights; a man of Islamic origins, born to Communist parents, cared to by Communist grandparents; a professed tutor of the Saul Alinsky’s model clamoring for the destruction of the United States of America. The same Barack Obama whose political career was launched with the fund-raising efforts of one of America’s most devout inbred terrorist, Bill Ayers. A community organizer using his post to plant the seeds of envy amongst the needy in Chicago’s disenfranchised South Side district; Barack Obama, a brethren of Jeremiah Wright’s hate-filled church crying for the damnation of America, while mentoring his favorite son.

Barack Obama, an impostor, now leading a nation, through his Doctrine of Conciliatory Appeasement, choosing to release the most renown enemy-combatants in Guantanamo Bay to rejoin in their unfulfilled campaigns to destroy the infidels of the West while clamoring for the administration’s patriotic endeavoring in returning to America a disgruntled soldier, known to his peers as an alleged deserter.

I am not so much incensed at our enemy, as I am at my ideological allies as even the most stout defenders of democracy and free enterprise have succumbed to our enemy’s lexicon of untruths. My heart shrunk the other day as I listened to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly contending that “Communism” would never get a foothold in the United States of America. With all due respects to someone I respect highly as I do Mr. O’Reilly, I dare say, Communism can not only get a foothold in our nation…it already has. To wit, Mr. O’Reilly, Communism is now found everywhere you turn; Communism is prevalent in the halls of Congress; in the courts of the land; in the professors of every major university; in a contentious media; in Hollywood’s film industry. We are ubiquitously surrounded everywhere we turn. Our homeland’s security efforts are fervently focused strictly on foreign terrorism, while our in-bred terrorists, born and raised right here in the United States, are irrationally unattended to, going about their missions self-assured and undeterred, albeit causing unspeakable damage without firing a shot. Our succumbing to the untruths becomes rather apparent in our misguided approach to the interpretation of words such as: socialism, liberal, leftist and the like, all but water-down versions of the real thing: Communism. Yet, these surrogates have been usefully adopted by all Americans, good or bad and are no longer destined to raising the warning flags of the dangers that now abound us, as well they should.

And then, of course, there is [the] ultimate aberration, perhaps the leading cause for the prevalent state of deterioration. [The] ultimate denial, if you will; the one which claims that Communism will probably take traction everywhere and anywhere except in the citadel of democracy, in the ultimate bastion of freedom- the great United States of America. And while I can understand the nature and magnitude of the aberration given the nation’s long-standing history upholding its values and freedoms at whatever price, a tradition willed to us by the Founding Fathers, this is, still, the greatest political misnomer, ever - one wisely used by the enemy; a reinvention of reality to instill in all of us a sublime impossibility mode; one which discourages and dampens our historical spirit to defend the Constitution against the encroachment and infringements now self-evident throughout every fabric of our government.

To all of you in denial, I offer this citation, together with my plea to wise-up to reality before it’s too late. To wise-up to the reality that “redistribution of the wealth”, lies at the heart and remains the very essence of Communism, not socialism. To wise up to the fact that Barack Obama is not, per se, a one-man’s politically misguided agenda, but a much more ingenious, highly sophisticated, and powerful movement whose clout on the American political landscape, managed to elect a Communist to lead the nation to its present state of decline in a perverse road to its ultimate demise. Do not bewilder yourselves anymore as to the irrational behavior of a leader that seems not to care about anything, other than a continued conveyance of disentanglement, no matter what the issue is. Do not concern yourselves anymore as the truth is, he [our President] doesn’t really care. The fact remains that, if you think about it, Barack Obama has really completed the job he was set out to complete. Whether we like it or not, and whether they realize it or not, a majority of Americans today embrace Communism and/or its postulates as a desirable and sought-after political path. The war between the “haves” and the “have nots” has gone full- fledged. Economic success, once considered, America’s ultimate objective worthy of striving to attain through hard work and dedication, is today chastised by the poor, the lacking, the less-fortunate as an undesirable trait, de-facto, making those who attain it, ideal targets for re-distributing their rightfully earned wealth with everyone else, regardless of their worthiness or capabilities - a disheartening incentive to America’s historical entrepreneurial spirit.

Whether we care to admit it or not, Barack Obama’s administration is tainted by a trail of bloodshed from the death of bounteous unsuspecting American heroes, gone to their graves believing, still, in a nation once willing to go the war for the sake of defending one of their own sons. All noble Americans should look upon the impeachment of Barack Obama no longer as far-reaching alternative to saving the nation but as an impending obligation on all honorable men of the land. No longer should we look upon the proponents of an impeachment proceeding as radical right-wing conservative extremists but merely as pragmatic realists whose ultimate desire is the restoration of our country to its former glory. Impeachment, I repeat, should not be thought of as an outlandish solution, but instead as [the] only reasonable elucidation to the nation’s encumbered state of desecration. I bid you farewell with a steadfast reminder to all good men in the land, that the time has come to stand up for what we believe in. The time to impeach this Barack Obama impostor is now. The time to rid our nation of the Communist plague now proliferating all facets of our lives is now. The time to prevent Hillary Clinton to continue where Barack Obama leaves off is now. The time to save our nation is now. The time is now! The time is now! Now! God save America. God save us all.

When I was a kid, I whined when the "President was on ALL the channels" (there were three).

Today - I can only say that *I* didn't whine all that much as a kid when the President was actually on and blocked my cartoons or TV show. Today though...

Obama: ‘I’m Going To Have To Act Alone’ On Border Crisis

President Barack Obama says House Republicans are trying to pass the most extreme and unworkable version of an immigration bill even though they know the bill isn’t going anywhere.

Republicans are pushing legislation that could clear the way for eventual deportation of more than 500,000 immigrants brought here illegally as kids and address the surge of immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Obama says Republicans know that legislation won’t succeed in the Senate. He says Republicans aren’t even trying to solve the problem. He says they’re just trying check a box leaving town for their annual August recess.

House Republicans are “trying to pass the most extreme and unworkable versions of a bill that they already know is going nowhere,” Obama stated.

Obama says while Congress is away, he’ll have to make tough choices about immigration challenges himself. He’s alluding to executive action he’s said he’s considering to deal with immigrants in the U.S. illegally.

“I’m going to have to act alone,” Obama said, because the government is running out of money to deal with it.

House Republicans pushed legislation on Friday that could clear the way for eventual deportation of more than 500,000 immigrants brought here illegally as kids and address the surge of immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

After more than a year of inaction on the contentious issue of immigration, House GOP leaders were optimistic about securing tea party and other conservative support for two bills that Republicans can highlight when they return home to voters during Congress’ five-week summer break.

    Votes were expected late Friday.

Good old Sheila Jackass Lee. Wonder if they've found the flag on Mars the astronauts put there...

Congresswoman Who Co-Sponsored Bush Impeachment Bill Said Democrats Never Tried To Impeach Bush

    July 31, 2014

During a floor speech on Wednesday night, Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee voiced her opposition to the House Republican lawsuit against President Barack Obama and said that Democrats had never moved to impeach former President George W. Bush when he was in office.

“A historical fact that President Bush pushed this nation into a war that had little to do with apprehending terrorists,” Jackson Lee said. “We did not seek an impeachment of President Bush, because as an executive, he had his authority. President Obama has the authority.”

It's an odd thing for Jackson Lee to say, because it was just six years ago that she helped lead a movement to impeach Bush by co-sponsoring a bill accusing him of high crimes and misdemeanors.

“She misspoke,” Jackson Lee’s spokesman Mike McQuerry told Yahoo News on Thursday morning. He declined to elaborate on what she meant to say.

Some members of the GOP conference have stoked talk of impeachment, but House Speaker John Boehner has said there are no plans to pursue it. However, last night the House approved a lawsuit against the president, voting 225-201 to force him to carry out provisions in the 2010 health care law that his administration has postponed. Democrats say Republicans are using it merely as an election-year political ploy, because they know an impeachment effort would not succeed.

Despite Democratic protests on the House floor, however, party lawmakers seem downright gleeful about the exercise after fundraising successfully from the lawsuit and talk of impeachment.

    Default Re: Impeach Obama

Just wanted to post this here. Mark Levin discussed this on his show last week and I thought it was interesting. I have the Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers but I've never had a chance to read through them.

    The Federalist No. 65

The Powers of the Senate (continued)

    New York Packet
    Friday, March 7, 1788
    [Alexander Hamilton]

To the People of the State of New York:

THE remaining powers which the plan of the convention allots to the Senate, in a distinct capacity, are comprised in their participation with the executive in the appointment to offices, and in their judicial character as a court for the trial of impeachments. As in the business of appointments the executive will be the principal agent, the provisions relating to it will most properly be discussed in the examination of that department. We will, therefore, conclude this head with a view of the judicial character of the Senate.

A well-constituted court for the trial of impeachments is an object not more to be desired than difficult to be obtained in a government wholly elective. The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated POLITICAL, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself. The prosecution of them, for this reason, will seldom fail to agitate the passions of the whole community, and to divide it into parties more or less friendly or inimical to the accused. In many cases it will connect itself with the pre-existing factions, and will enlist all their animosities, partialities, influence, and interest on one side or on the other; and in such cases there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.

The delicacy and magnitude of a trust which so deeply concerns the political reputation and existence of every man engaged in the administration of public affairs, speak for themselves. The difficulty of placing it rightly, in a government resting entirely on the basis of periodical elections, will as readily be perceived, when it is considered that the most conspicuous characters in it will, from that circumstance, be too often the leaders or the tools of the most cunning or the most numerous faction, and on this account, can hardly be expected to possess the requisite neutrality towards those whose conduct may be the subject of scrutiny.

The convention, it appears, thought the Senate the most fit depositary of this important trust. Those who can best discern the intrinsic difficulty of the thing, will be least hasty in condemning that opinion, and will be most inclined to allow due weight to the arguments which may be supposed to have produced it.

What, it may be asked, is the true spirit of the institution itself? Is it not designed as a method of NATIONAL INQUEST into the conduct of public men? If this be the design of it, who can so properly be the inquisitors for the nation as the representatives of the nation themselves? It is not disputed that the power of originating the inquiry, or, in other words, of preferring the impeachment, ought to be lodged in the hands of one branch of the legislative body. Will not the reasons which indicate the propriety of this arrangement strongly plead for an admission of the other branch of that body to a share of the inquiry? The model from which the idea of this institution has been borrowed, pointed out that course to the convention. In Great Britain it is the province of the House of Commons to prefer the impeachment, and of the House of Lords to decide upon it. Several of the State constitutions have followed the example. As well the latter, as the former, seem to have regarded the practice of impeachments as a bridle in the hands of the legislative body upon the executive servants of the government. Is not this the true light in which it ought to be regarded?

Where else than in the Senate could have been found a tribunal sufficiently dignified, or sufficiently independent? What other body would be likely to feel confidence enough in its own situation, to preserve, unawed and uninfluenced, the necessary impartiality between an individual accused, and the representatives of the people, his accusers?

Could the Supreme Court have been relied upon as answering this description? It is much to be doubted, whether the members of that tribunal would at all times be endowed with so eminent a portion of fortitude, as would be called for in the execution of so difficult a task; and it is still more to be doubted, whether they would possess the degree of credit and authority, which might, on certain occasions, be indispensable towards reconciling the people to a decision that should happen to clash with an accusation brought by their immediate representatives. A deficiency in the first, would be fatal to the accused; in the last, dangerous to the public tranquillity. The hazard in both these respects, could only be avoided, if at all, by rendering that tribunal more numerous than would consist with a reasonable attention to economy. The necessity of a numerous court for the trial of impeachments, is equally dictated by the nature of the proceeding. This can never be tied down by such strict rules, either in the delineation of the offense by the prosecutors, or in the construction of it by the judges, as in common cases serve to limit the discretion of courts in favor of personal security. There will be no jury to stand between the judges who are to pronounce the sentence of the law, and the party who is to receive or suffer it. The awful discretion which a court of impeachments must necessarily have, to doom to honor or to infamy the most confidential and the most distinguished characters of the community, forbids the commitment of the trust to a small number of persons.

These considerations seem alone sufficient to authorize a conclusion, that the Supreme Court would have been an improper substitute for the Senate, as a court of impeachments. There remains a further consideration, which will not a little strengthen this conclusion. It is this: The punishment which may be the consequence of conviction upon impeachment, is not to terminate the chastisement of the offender. After having been sentenced to a prepetual ostracism from the esteem and confidence, and honors and emoluments of his country, he will still be liable to prosecution and punishment in the ordinary course of law. Would it be proper that the persons who had disposed of his fame, and his most valuable rights as a citizen in one trial, should, in another trial, for the same offense, be also the disposers of his life and his fortune? Would there not be the greatest reason to apprehend, that error, in the first sentence, would be the parent of error in the second sentence? That the strong bias of one decision would be apt to overrule the influence of any new lights which might be brought to vary the complexion of another decision? Those who know anything of human nature, will not hesitate to answer these questions in the affirmative; and will be at no loss to perceive, that by making the same persons judges in both cases, those who might happen to be the objects of prosecution would, in a great measure, be deprived of the double security intended them by a double trial. The loss of life and estate would often be virtually included in a sentence which, in its terms, imported nothing more than dismission from a present, and disqualification for a future, office. It may be said, that the intervention of a jury, in the second instance, would obviate the danger. But juries are frequently influenced by the opinions of judges. They are sometimes induced to find special verdicts, which refer the main question to the decision of the court. Who would be willing to stake his life and his estate upon the verdict of a jury acting under the auspices of judges who had predetermined his guilt?

Would it have been an improvement of the plan, to have united the Supreme Court with the Senate, in the formation of the court of impeachments? This union would certainly have been attended with several advantages; but would they not have been overbalanced by the signal disadvantage, already stated, arising from the agency of the same judges in the double prosecution to which the offender would be liable? To a certain extent, the benefits of that union will be obtained from making the chief justice of the Supreme Court the president of the court of impeachments, as is proposed to be done in the plan of the convention; while the inconveniences of an entire incorporation of the former into the latter will be substantially avoided. This was perhaps the prudent mean. I forbear to remark upon the additional pretext for clamor against the judiciary, which so considerable an augmentation of its authority would have afforded.

Would it have been desirable to have composed the court for the trial of impeachments, of persons wholly distinct from the other departments of the government? There are weighty arguments, as well against, as in favor of, such a plan. To some minds it will not appear a trivial objection, that it could tend to increase the complexity of the political machine, and to add a new spring to the government, the utility of which would at best be questionable. But an objection which will not be thought by any unworthy of attention, is this: a court formed upon such a plan, would either be attended with a heavy expense, or might in practice be subject to a variety of casualties and inconveniences. It must either consist of permanent officers, stationary at the seat of government, and of course entitled to fixed and regular stipends, or of certain officers of the State governments to be called upon whenever an impeachment was actually depending. It will not be easy to imagine any third mode materially different, which could rationally be proposed. As the court, for reasons already given, ought to be numerous, the first scheme will be reprobated by every man who can compare the extent of the public wants with the means of supplying them. The second will be espoused with caution by those who will seriously consider the difficulty of collecting men dispersed over the whole Union; the injury to the innocent, from the procrastinated determination of the charges which might be brought against them; the advantage to the guilty, from the opportunities which delay would afford to intrigue and corruption; and in some cases the detriment to the State, from the prolonged inaction of men whose firm and faithful execution of their duty might have exposed them to the persecution of an intemperate or designing majority in the House of Representatives. Though this latter supposition may seem harsh, and might not be likely often to be verified, yet it ought not to be forgotten that the demon of faction will, at certain seasons, extend his sceptre over all numerous bodies of men.

But though one or the other of the substitutes which have been examined, or some other that might be devised, should be thought preferable to the plan in this respect, reported by the convention, it will not follow that the Constitution ought for this reason to be rejected. If mankind were to resolve to agree in no institution of government, until every part of it had been adjusted to the most exact standard of perfection, society would soon become a general scene of anarchy, and the world a desert. Where is the standard of perfection to be found? Who will undertake to unite the discordant opinions of a whole commuity, in the same judgment of it; and to prevail upon one conceited projector to renounce his infallible criterion for the fallible criterion of his more conceited neighbor? To answer the purpose of the adversaries of the Constitution, they ought to prove, not merely that particular provisions in it are not the best which might have been imagined, but that the plan upon the whole is bad and pernicious.

Retired Lt. Col. Ralph Peters joins Sean Hannity in the first video below to provide a damning judgement on Barack Obama, specifically Obama’s claim that he wasn’t aware of the rise of ISIS or the threat they posed, despite Obama being briefed for over a year by the intelligence community, Obama ignored those briefings, because he simply didn’t want to know, according to Peters. He goes on to assert that he believes Barack Obama has a “real psychological problem,” and that he “he can’t face responsibility, and certainly not the responsibilities of his office.”

The second clip is when Peters joins Megyn Kelly on the Kelly File where Peters explains Obama’s disconnect, stating Obama has a “psychological aversion” to bearing responsibility and making decisions, as he details what he has observed of Obama’s actions, or lack thereof, public statements, and strange reactions.

That brings us to a troubling report by DW Ulsterman which claims that DC sources describe a phone call between the British Prime Minister and Barack Obama as “bizarre.” The report states the PM had to wait 20 minutes before he could be connected and Obama was “nearly incoherent”, slurring his words heavily and even at one point “giggling as the Prime Minister struggled to focus the conversation on the terrorist threats in the Middle East.”

The President of the United States was said to be “out of it” during a conversation that has staff for the Prime Minister privately describing to their D.C. counterparts as “bizarre.”

    Listen to Peters below.
