Could a UFO have been found at the bottom of the ocean?
New video footage of a strange, unidentified anomaly has been released after the men of 'Ocean Explorer' discovered a very 'round' object with track marks leading to it that were somehow deeply impacted into the bottom of the sea floor.
Peter Lindberg, the commander of ships parts voyage group the Ocean Explorer, said of the find: "You see a lot of weird stuff in this job but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round...a circle."
Peter won't be diving down to do any further investigating, for fear the object turns out to be absolutely nothing.

I suspect this right off the bat as a load of hooey. Here's why....

Really???? Come on. If it turns out to be "nothing" then no big deal, you spend some time investigating (if you have the ability to do so by diving). If it does, then you're the discoverer, you're rich, so much for it being "nothing".

No, I believe it is better to get some sensationalism out of something like this, and make people BELIEVE it is a UFO, create all sorts of new bullshit conspiracy theory and keep it going in the media and books for years rather than to put it to rest with honest RESEARCH.

Peter Lindberg says it's "up to the world to decide". "It's not in our sphere of interest" since it MIGHT BE NOTHING!? Ad finally "No funds"? Come on.

Now you understand why I AM A SKEPTIC about this crap.

A team of deep sea explorers discovered a large unknown object that has generated all manner of speculation. Sweden's Ocean Explorer found a large round object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea that, to some eyes, looks a bit like a UFO.

While using sonar to survey the Gulf of Bothnia last month, Ocean Explorer commander Peter Lindberg noticed an unusual 60-foot round object. According to the Ocean Explorer website, Lindberg said he had "never seen anything like it" even though has "spent hundreds of hours watching sonar images of the sea floor."

The placement of the object was even more curious. As the team's video shows, there appears to be a long trail of displaced seabed that suggests that the object may have had a rough landing.

Lindberg and his team are hardly tinfoil-hat wearing UFO chasers. They are veteran sea scavengers who search for sunken ships. In 1997, the team famously found the Jonkoping, a sunken ship that turned out to be filled with 3,000 bottles of valuable champagne.

While the object seems unusual, it's entirely possible that it could have occurred naturally. Lindberg refused to speculate on the object's origins, but in doing so he may have generated even more conjecture, making reference to one of the most famous and mysterious sites in the world.

"Since it might be nothing we cannot afford spending funds just to have a look at it," he adds. "Even if it might be a 'new' Stonehenge standing on the bottom."

Freaky, right? Though, because it’s so hard to tell what that really is by those sonar photos, the discovery could be anything, even something as boring as a rock formation with striations on the ocean floor from an ice age or plates shifting or anything geological.

Seriously. A treasure worth far far more than it's weight in gold? The first recovered UFO. If they're professional treasure hunters and had ANY evidence of it being legit, they'd leverage themselves to the hilt to recover it.

A team of salvage divers has discovered an unexplained object resting at the bottom of the Baltic Sea near Sweden.
"This thing turned up. My first reaction was to tell the guys that we have a UFO here on the bottom," said Peter Lindberg, the leader of the amateur treasure hunters.


Sonar readings show that the mysterious object is about 60 meters across, or, about the size of a jumbo jet. And it's not alone. Nearby on the sea floor is another, smaller object with a similar shape. Even more fascinating, both objects have "drag marks" behind them on the sea floor, stretching back more than 400 feet.


"Could this be the Star Wars Millenium Falcon, a plug to an inner world or a marine version of Stonehenge?" asks CNN's Brooke Bowman:

Well, it could just be another shipwreck. Or, mud.


But Lindberg says the ship theory doesn't really hold up because of the unusually large size of the objects. "Of course it would be something from another ship but it's quite big," he told CNN. Lindberg notes that some observers have speculated that the objects may be Russian warships built around the end of the 1800's. However, Lindberg points out that not only were those ships much smaller, they were not patrolling the Baltic during that era.


The Baltic Sea is a literal treasure trove for salvage teams and a "shipwreck laboratory" for researchers. The sea's low salinity levels help preserve objects that sink to the bottom. "Right now, we know about 20,000 objects, mostly shipwrecks, in the Baltic Sea. But I think there may be more than 100,000," said sonar expert Ardreas Olsson, "I'm not sure what you will see when you go down. But I'm excited. It's going to be interesting to see what it is."


The Ocean Explorer team first made their find back in August and had no plans to return to the scene. For now, Lindberg is waiting for calmer waters in the Baltic, possibly in May, before taking his salvage team to the bottom for a closer look at the mysterious objects. They originally had no plans to return to the spot, but the spike in interest from the public has led them to begin planning a return trip.
