Pompeo, Mattis Call on China to Remove Its Missiles From Spratly Islands

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defense James Mattis during talks with Chinese officials said the United States wants Beijing to withdraw its missiles from the Spratly islands in the South China Sea, the State Department said in a press release.

"The United States called on China to withdraw its missile systems from disputed features in the Spratly Islands, and reaffirmed that all countries should avoid addressing disputes through coercion or intimidation," the release said after Pompeo and Mattis met with Chinese diplomats and security officials at the State Department.

Earlier, Chinese Foreign Affairs Director Yang Jiechi, alongside Pompeo and Mattis at a joint press conference, said the situation in the South China Sea is moving "toward greater stability." According to the release, both countries during the talks, the second US-China Diplomatic and Security Dialogue, agreed to support a peaceful resolution of disputes, overflight issues and other lawful uses of the sea in the region.

In May, Mattis said that despite Chinese President Xi Jinping’s pledge not to militarize the Spratly Islands, Beijing had moved weapons there. In turn, Beijing said that it had the sovereign right to send troops to any part of its territory.

The Asia-Pacific region has several territorial disputes in the South China and East China seas that involve Brunei, China, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Beijing considers the Spratly archipelago as its territory, although a Hague-based court concluded that there was no legal basis for China's maritime claims.

China Building More Nuclear Attack Subs Than US Knew About - Report

US think tanks and the Pentagon have underestimated the number of Chinese nuclear submarines under construction, a new analysis suggests.

Pictures taken of the Bohai Shipyard and Longpo Naval Facility show that China has more nuclear attack subs in development than previously believed, Defense One reported Tuesday. The report said there is one extra submarine under construction that the Pentagon previously did not account for.

Nevertheless, there are fewer operational nuclear subs than Western institutions believed, namely the US Department of Defense and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the report says.

Beijing on Macron's EU Army Proposal: China Has Never Been Threat to Europe

CSIS and Pentagon estimates of China's ocean-going nuclear force pegged the number of operational Jin- or 094-class submarines at four. Yet two of these underwater boats "appear not to be in operation," said Catherine Dill of the James Martin Center of Nonproliferation Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, as quoted by Defense One.

Notably, the Pentagon's 2018 China Military Report and CSIS' China Power group both stated that four 094-class submarines are active.

By comparison, Russian nuclear forces feature nine strategic nuclear submarines "that provide continuous military patrols in the sea," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in May 2017, Sputnik reported. "The Russian Navy is also planning to increase the number of strategic nuclear submarines to 13, including seven ‘Boreys' with ‘Bulava' missiles," he said.

The US nuclear-armed submarine fleet features 14 Ohio-class submarines, which are comparable in size to Russia's Borey-class and China's 094-class subs.

Senior Chinese Military Officer Calls For Attacks On US Ships In The South China Sea

    By Ryan Pickrell, Business Insider

on The South China Sea is a powder keg, and one senior Chinese military officer seems interested in lighting the fuse even further.

Dai Xu, a People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) senior colonel and president of the Institute of Marine Safety and Cooperation, suggested last weekend that the Chinese navy use force to counter US freedom-of-navigation operations in the South China Sea, Taiwan News reported Sunday. He spoke at a conference hosted by the nationalist, state-backed Chinese tabloid Global Times.

“If the U.S. warships break into Chinese waters again, I suggest that two warships should be sent: one to stop it, and another one to ram it,” he said. “In our territorial waters, we won’t allow U.S. warships to create [a] disturbance.”

Dai, famous for his hawkish rhetoric, argued that U.S. Navy freedom-of-navigation operations, or FONOPS, are provocations aimed at undermining China’s sovereignty rather than an actual attempt to ensure freedom of navigation in international waters. The U.S. Navy regularly sails destroyers and cruisers past Chinese-occupied territories in the South China Sea, while U.S. Air Force bombers tear past on routine overflights that often ruffle Beijing’s feathers.

The most recent FONOP occurred in late November when the U.S. Navy sent the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville to challenge Chinese claims near the Paracel Islands.

The Global Times is known for its often provocative articles, intentionally designed to appeal to an alternative audience and differ from the more rigid state media outlets like Xinhua. Dai’s rhetoric at the conference is consistent with that trend, as he seemed to welcome an increase in tension, suggesting that confrontation in the South China Sea could create an opportunity for mainland China to retake Taiwan.

“It would boost the speed of our unification of Taiwan,” he told the conference. “Let’s just be prepared and wait. Once a strategic opportunity emerges, we should be ready to take over Taiwan.”

Dai’s comments about the use of force in the South China Sea comes on the heels of a near-miss incident that occurred in September when a Chinese Luyang-class destroyer confronted the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Decatur during a FONOP in the Spratly Islands.

During the “unsafe” incident, the Chinese vessel reportedly made preparations to ram the American warship, forcing it off course. The showdown was characterized by one foreign policy expert as “the PLAN’s most direct and dangerous attempt to interfere with lawful US Navy navigation in the South China Sea to date.”

Is China Preparing for WAR Against US?

    By Paul Antonopoulos

BEIJING, China – The biggest source of tension in relations between Beijing and Washington is the question of free navigation in the South China Sea and the status of Taiwan. These are the two main reasons that could trigger an armed confrontation between China and the United States, according to experts.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered the country’s military to accelerate its training and prepare for a possible war, the South China Morning Post reported.

“All military units must correctly understand major national security and development trends, and strengthen their sense of unexpected hardship, crisis and battle,” said the country’s leader during a meeting with the administration of the Chinese Central Military Commission.

China’s armed forces must “prepare for a comprehensive military struggle from a new starting point”, he said. “Preparation for war and combat must be deepened to ensure an efficient response in times of emergency.”

Xi Jinping seeks to increase the Chinese Army’s defensive capability since the start of its warrant in 2012. The issue highlights that in 2019, the Chinese leader plans to step up activities in this direction.

Earlier, the Chinese military newspaper also warned troops to prepare for war .

The main areas of potential conflict are the South China Sea and Taiwan, which the Asian giant considers as its rebel province, which should rejoin Beijing.

The United States represents an opponent for Beijing in both areas. Washington insists on free navigation in the waters of the South China Sea, which would imply the possibility of carrying out patrol missions in the area.

In addition, the US expresses its support for Taiwan and opposes Beijing’s territorial claims. On the island there is no US embassy, however, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), in fact, carries out embassy functions.

In October 2018, two US Navy ships crossed the Taiwan Straits, causing concern to China.

At the same time, AIT director William Brent Christensen pointed out that any attempt to determine Taiwan’s future with non-peaceful means poses a threat to regional security and warned that the US will not allow that to happen.

Meanwhile, retired Chinese People’s Liberation Army (FARC) Colonel Yue Gang has suggested that the US does nothing more than seek pressure on Beijing in the context of the Sino-US trade war.

“Over the coming year, the US might use Taiwan and the South China Sea as bargaining chips to get what it wants from China with regards to the trade war,” he said. “And there is always the possibility of increased independence calls from Taiwan.”

China's reaction to US Navy operation: We have missiles

By Brad Lendon, CNN 57 mins ago

China claims to have deployed missiles "capable of targeting medium and large ships" days after the latest US Navy "freedom of navigation" operation near contested islands in the South China Sea, state media announced.

The deployment of the DF-26 ballistic missiles in China's remote northwest plateau, originally announced Tuesday on China Central Television, follows a mission from the US guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell, which steamed close to the Paracel Islands, the previous day.

Capable of hitting targets 3,400 miles (5,471 kilometers) away with nuclear or conventional warheads, the DF-26 was dubbed the "Guam killer" by analysts at the time because it would allow China to bring unprecedented firepower to the US island territory -- home to Andersen Air Force Base and other key US military installations.

The 1.3 million-square-mile South China Sea has seen increasing tension in recent years, with China aggressively asserting its stake amid conflicting claims from several Southeast Asian nations.

"McCampbell sailed within 12 nautical miles of the Paracel Islands to challenge excessive maritime claims and preserve access to the waterways as governed by international law," US Pacific Fleet spokesperson Lt. j.g. Rachel McMarr said in a statement.

China accused the US of trespassing into its territorial waters.

"The US action violated the Chinese laws and international laws, infringed China's sovereignty, damaged regional peace, security, and order," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said on Monday. "China will take necessary actions to protect state sovereignty."

Citing an anonymous expert, the Global Times said the DF-26 missile mobilization "is a good reminder that China is capable of safeguarding its territory."

Beijing has built fortifications on contested islands, landed long-range bombers and last year President Xi Jinping, who claims the area has been Chinese territory since "ancient times," oversaw China's largest-ever naval parade there.

The DF-26 missile system originally entered active service in the People's Liberation Army Rocket Forces last April. It was unveiled during a military parade in 2015 in Beijing in 2015.

"Foremost among China's military assets capable of reaching Guam, the DF-26 IRBM represents the culmination of decades of advancements to China's conventional ballistic missile forces," a 2016 report from the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission said.

According to a report from the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, China may have an anti-ship version of the DF-26 under development -- and may have even tested it in 2017.

Tuesday's Global Times report, citing an unnamed expert, said the DF-26 was deployed in China's northwest as it was protected from opposing anti-missile forces in that area.

Despite Chinese warnings, the US is unlikely to stop challenging Beijing's claims in the South China Sea.

Washington says China's construction and fortification of man-made islands puts trillions of dollars of trade, travel and communications under the thumb of Beijing.

"The Trump administration is not going to back off in the face of Chinese pressure," Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst in defense strategy and capability at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in Canberra, told CNN in December.

Any US withdrawal would "severely undermine (US) credibility and encourage the Chinese to be more assertive and bold," he added.

The McCampbell's "freedom of navigation" operation on Monday was the US Navy's first of 2019. Analysts said the US performed one about every eight weeks last year.

One operation almost resulted in a collision between a US destroyer, the USS Decatur, and the Chinese one that challenged it, the Lanzhou, in September.

The two vessels came within 45 yards (41 meters) of each other near the contested Spratly Islands, with the US Navy saying at the time that the Chinese warship "conducted a series of increasingly aggressive maneuvers accompanied by warnings for Decatur to depart the area."

After the incident, some pro-Beijing commentators called for China's navy to go even further.

"If a US warship illegally enters into Chinese territorial waters again, two Chinese warships should be sent, one to stop it and the other to bump against and sink it," Dai Xu, president of China's Institute of Marine Safety and Cooperation, was quoted as saying in an article on the Chinese military's English-language website.

Meanwhile, President Xi reportedly started 2019 by ordering the country's military to enhance combat readiness.

Speaking at a meeting of the Central Military Commission in Beijing on January 4, Xi said the PLA should "upgrade commanding capability of joint operations, foster new combat forces, and improve military training under combat conditions," according to a state media report.

China Activates "Ship Killer" Dong-Feng Missiles After US Navy Buzzes Disputed Islands

    by Tyler Durden
    Wed, 01/09/2019 - 21:35

China has activated its "ship killer" Dong Feng ballistic missiles after a US navy ship traveled within 12 nautical miles of the Parcel Islands "to challenge excessive maritime claims and preserve access to the waterways as governed by international law," according to a US Pacific Fleet Spokesman.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/sites/defa...?itok=yMUMfBk8

In the 1990s, China laid claim to all of the Parcel Islands using a straight baseline around the entire archipelago, which it has labeled the Xisha Islands. The boundary is not recognized by international maritime law, while Vietnam and Taiwan have also laid claim to the islands.

The USS McCampbell (DDG-85) passed by the disputed island on Monday, during which "The Chinese side immediately sent military vessel and aircraft," according to China's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Lu Kang, adding that they warned the ship to leave."

The deployment of the DF-26 missiles was reported by China's state-controlled Global Times, which tweeted a montage of brave and loyal Chinese servicemen driving Xi's Dongs to various locations in China set to the theme song of your average 1990s action movie. The missiles will not be positioned near the Taiwan Strait or the actual disputed islands - instead, the truck-mounted weapons have been sent to China's more remote plateau and desert areas.

"A mobile missile launch from deep in the country’s interior is more difficult to intercept," said an expert quoted by the Global Times, who claimed that the DF-26 has a range of 4500km, more than enough to cover the entire South China Sea.

"The DF-26 is China’s new generation of intermediate-range ballistic missile capable of targeting medium and large ships at sea," warned the Times," adding "It can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads."

"During the initial phase of a ballistic missile launch, the missile is relatively slow and not difficult to detect, making it an easier target for enemy antimissile installations. After the missile enters a later stage, its speed is so high that chances for interception are significantly lower," reads the report - which points out that it could hit a US naval base in Guam - located in the middle of the Pacific.

"The report is a good reminder that China is capable of safeguarding its territory," reads the report.

Another video of the DF-21D set to yet more action movie music shows a CGI simulation of the Dong-Feng unsheathing at high altitude before its warhead reenters the earth's atmosphere and decimates a fleet of ships with what appears to be a nuclear blast.

The US Navy's territorial test came weeks after Australian media published details from a speech by one of China's leading military commanders where he recommended sinking two US aircraft carriers to resolve the ongoing territorial dispute.

During a wide-ranging speech on the state of Sino-US relations, Rear Admiral Lou Yuan told a Shenzhen audience that the current trade spat was 'definitely not simply friction over economics and trade," but a "prime strategic issue."

His speech, delivered on December 20 to the 2018 Military Industry List summit, declared that China’s new and highly capable anti-ship ballistic and cruise missiles were more than capable of hitting US carriers, despite them being at the centre of a ‘bubble’ of defensive escorts.

“What the United States fears the most is taking casualties,” Admiral Lou declared.
He said the loss of one super carrier would cost the US the lives of 5000 service men and women. Sinking two would double that toll.

“We’ll see how frightened America is.” -News.com.au

Beijing has become more aggressive in recent years over the disputed islands - asserting sovereignty over the entirety of the South and East China seas despite an international arbitration court rejecting their claim, according to News.com.au.

International law also prohibits Beijing to enforce territorial rights to the waters around artificial islands - which China has recently built on what was previously coral reefs.

China has demanded that all nations respect a 12 nautical mile (22km) boundary around them.

"We will continue to take necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and security," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu.

Secret, Leaked Speech by Chinese Defense Minister Demonstrates China's Intent to Destroy America

Submitted by Dave Hodges on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 - 13:04.

"The central committee believes, as long as we resolve the United States problem at one blow, our domestic problems will all be readily solved. Therefore, our military battle preparation appears to aim at Taiwan, but in fact is aimed at the United States, and the preparation is far beyond the scope of attacking aircraft carriers or satellites.

    - Chinese Defense Minister Gen. Wei Fenghe

This is the first part of a multipart series which exposes China's intention to go to war with the United States. Part One is based upon the idea that the Chinese fully intend on not just conquering America, but destroying America.

A recent speech made to the CCP in Communist China speaks to the resolve and historical overview that exists in China with regard to not just invading the United States, but to decisively destroy the country and kill as many Americans as possible. The content of this speech was leaked to John Moore. Paul Martin forwarded me the copy. I have spent the previous 12 hours gathering opinions and statements from my very best sources. Sometimes, my sources can be a bit slow to respond. However, all but one of the people I solicited opinions from answered within a couple of hours of receiving this. To a man, they believe everything in the report, however, many expressed extreme surprise that this content wou: "l'd be discussed in such an open political environment. The universal consensus is that this is authentic and does represent the majority philosophy of the CCP.

In two successive articles, I am going to highlight some quotes and relate the material back to the present day relationship between China and the United States.

China Is Not, Never Has Been, Or Will Ever Be an American Ally

For another report on another day, I firmly believe that when, not if, the Red Dawn invasion of the United States commences, the Chinese will be among the invading armies. That is why the Chinese-controlled Hollywood forced the producers of the remake of Red Dawn (2012) to change the identity of the invading force from Chinese to North Korean. I believe the script hit too close to home.

Recently, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) conducted an online survey conducted by sina.comand one of the key questions that they asked was the following:

“Will you shoot at women, children and prisoners of war,” more than 80 percent of the respondents answered in the affirmative, exceeding by far our expectations as expressed by the Chinese Defense Minister.

General Wei went on to say:

The central issue of this survey appears to be whether one should shoot at women, children and prisoners of war, but its real significance goes far beyond that. Ostensibly, our intention is mainly to figure out what the Chinese people’s attitude towards war is: If these future soldiers do not hesitate to kill even non-combatants, they’ll naturally be doubly ready and ruthless in killing combatants. Therefore, the responses to the survey questions may reflect the general attitude people have towards war...The purpose of the CCP Central Committee in conducting this survey is to probe people’s minds. We wanted to know: If China’s global development will necessitate massive deaths in enemy countries, will our people endorse that scenario? Will they be for or against it?
Subsequently, General Wei deems the Chinese people ready for war and we can expect the brutality of invading Chinese military force to be off the charts. It is clear that the CCP intention is to commit genocide against American citizens and they simply wanted to see if there people were on board with the intention and they apparently are.

The Chinese View Themselves as the Master Race on the Planet

The Chinese view Americans, and pretty much everyone else with contempt. They believe that they, and they alone are the master race and are entitled to rule the planet. This is the Chinese version of Americans 19th Century Manifest Destiny.

...we can assert that we are the product of cultural roots of more than a million years, civilization and progress of more than ten thousand years, an ancient nation of five thousand years, and a single Chinese entity of two thousand years. This is the Chinese nation that calls itself, “descendents of Yan and Huang,” the Chinese nation that we are so proud of. Hitler’s Germany had once bragged that the German race was the most superior race on Earth, but the fact is, our nation is far superior to the Germans. During our long history, our people have disseminated throughout the Americas and the regions along the Pacific Rim, and they became Indians in the Americas and the East Asian ethnic groups in the South Pacific...We all know that on account of our national superiority, during the thriving and prosperous Tang Dynasty our civilization was at the peak of the world. We were the center of the world civilization, and no other civilization in the world was comparable to ours. Later on, because of our complacency, narrow-mindedness, and the self-enclosure of our own country, we were surpassed by Western civilization, and the center of the world shifted to the West.

..In reviewing history, one may ask: Will the center of the world civilization shift back to China?

Comrade He Xin put it in his report to the Central Committee in 1988: If the fact is that the center of leadership of the world was located in Europe as of the 18th Century, and later shifted to the United States in the mid 20th Century, then in the 21st Century the center of leadership of the world will shift to the East of our planet. And, “the East” of course mainly refers to China.

This is the goal of Chinese foreign policy: To shift the center of world civilization back to China by any means possible.

THE CHINESE MODEL FOR EXPANSION IS BASED UPON NAZI GERMANY WITH ONE EXCEPTION

Companion Thread: Axis new alliance strategy to isolate U.S. from its allies before war

It is clear from Wei's remarks that the Chinese are going to follow Hitler's regime plan, with one exception. They fully plan to tight control over media and social media (Google-based Social Credit System) and they plan state-sponsored domination and brainwashing of the schools.

When we decide to revitalize China based on the German model, we must not repeat the mistakes they made.
Specifically, the following are the fundamental causes for the defeat of Germany and Japan:
    First, they had too many enemies all at once, as they did not adhere to the principle of eliminating enemies one at a time;
    Second, they were too impetuous, lacking the patience and perseverance required for great accomplishments;
Third, when the time came for them to be ruthless, they turned out to be too soft, therefore leaving troubles that resurfaced later on.]

This statement made by the Chinese Defense Minister should send chills up and down the spines of every American. Let's break down this three-tiered statement:

    • The Chinese will focus on defeating only one enemy, the United States.
    • The Nazis lacked patience. The Chinese are willing to bide their time and plan their military conquests over a larger time frame.
    • The Germans were to soft, meaning that they were not brutal enough and did not kill enough people.

    Conclusion

This concludes exposing the fact that the Chinese want war at any cost. Their philosophies have been stated and why we still have diplomatic relationships with them is mind-boggling. In Part Two, we will explore the reasons behind their desire for war.

Leaked Document Shows Chinese Intent to Commit Mass American Genocide Followed the Occupation of America

Submitted by Dave Hodges on Friday, July 12, 2019 - 12:31.

The reason that the United States remains today is that it has never seen war on its mainland. Once its enemies aim at the mainland, the enemies would have already reached Washington before its congress finishes debating and authorizes the president to declare war. But for us, we don’t waste time on these trivial things.

From Leaked Address to the CCP by the Chinese Defense Minister

    Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fengh

This is the second part of this series which describe the genocidal intentions that the Chinese toward America and this part establishes the Chinese intention to takeover America and use that leverage to get the rest of the world to capitulate to Chinese authority. Part One can be accessed here. Part One established the fact that the CCP intends to commit genocide against America before fully occupying the country. Information from this CCP speech given by defense Minister of Defense is shared here with an analysis.

The Main Motivation for Aggressive Chinese Military Policy

The lack of living space for China's 1.3 billion people is the central problem which is threatening the economics and life-span of the Chinese. To the Chinese this is an issue of economic survival.

The first issue is living space. This is the biggest focus of the revitalization of the Chinese race. In my last speech, I said that the fight over basic living resources (including land and ocean) is the source of the vast majority of wars in history. This may change in the information age, but not fundamentally. Our per capita resources are much less than those of Germany’s back then. In addition, economic development in the last twenty-plus years had a negative impact, and climates are rapidly changing for the worse. Our resources are in very short supply. The environment is severely polluted, especially that of soil, water, and air. Not only our ability to sustain and develop our race, but even its survival is gravely threatened, to a degree much greater than faced (Nazi) Germany back then.'

...solving the “issue of America” is the key to solving all other issues.
First, this makes it possible for us to have many people migrate there and even establish another China under the same leadership of the CCP. America was originally discovered by the ancestors of the yellow race, but Columbus gave credit to the white race.
We the descendants of the Chinese nation are entitled to the possession of the land! It is said that the residents of the yellow race have a very low social status in United States. We need to liberate them.
Second, after solving the “issue of America,” the western countries in Europe would bow to us, not to mention to Taiwan, Japan and other small countries. Therefore, solving the “issue of America” is the mission
assigned to CCP members by history.

The relationship between China and United States is one of a life-and-death struggle.” Of course, right now it is not the time to openly break up with them yet. Our reform and opening to the outside world still rely on their capital and technology, we still need America. Therefore, we must do everything we can to promote our relationship with America, learn from America in all aspects and use America as an example to reconstruct our country... we must not forget that the history of our civilization repeatedly has taught us that one mountain does not allow two tigers to live together...We also must never forget what Comrade Xiaoping emphasized “refrain from revealing the ambitions and put others off the track.” The hidden message is: we must put up with America; we must conceal our ultimate goals, hide our capabilities and await the opportunity.

Weapons of Choice to be Used Against America

The Chinese are very specific. They do not believe that they can kill enough American through conventional means to effect a change. It is clear that they are not going to use nuclear bombs as this would invite the destruction of the planet.

In history, when a country defeated another country or occupied another country, it could not kill all the people in the conquered land, because back then you could not kill people effectively with sabers or long spears, or even with rifles or machine guns. Therefore, it was impossible to gain a stretch of land without keeping the people on that land. However, if we conquered America in this fashion, we would not be able to make many people migrate there. Only by using special means to “clean up” America will we be able to lead the Chinese people there. This is the only choice left for us. This is not a matter of whether we are willing to do it or not. What kind of special means is there available for us to “clean up” America? Conventional weapons such as fighters, canons, missiles and battleships won’t do; neither will highly destructive weapons such as nuclear weapons. We are not as foolish as to want to perish together with America by using nuclear weapons, despite the fact that we have been exclaiming that we will have the Taiwan issue resolved at whatever cost. Only by using non-destructive weapons that can kill many people will we be able to reserve America for ourselves.
It is clear that the Chinese plan to commit genocide against the United States so they can occupy our country. They do not want a shared occupation, they want sole occupancy. And how will they accomplish this? They will use bioweapons and genetic weapons that will not kill the Chinese on American soil. The following quote should speak to their resolve to commit genocide against America before occupying the country.

We must prepare ourselves for two scenarios.
If our biological weapons succeed in the surprise attack [on the United States, the Chinese people will be able to keep their losses at a minimum in the fight against the United States.
If, however, the attack fails and triggers a nuclear retaliation from the United States, China would perhaps suffer a catastrophe in which more than half of its population would perish.
That is why we need to be ready with air defense systems for our big and medium-sized cities. Whatever the case may be, we can only move forward fearlessly for the sake of our Party and state and our nation’s future, regardless of the hardships we have to face and the sacrifices we have to make. The population, even if more than half dies, can be reproduced. But if the Party falls, everything is gone, and forever gone!

It is clear that when the Chinese have successfully deployed their shields over their cities, they will commence the bio and genetics weapons attack against the United States

Biological, Genetic Weapons Will Be the Weapons of Choice

The intent of the Chinese war plan is clear. They will lure the United States into a conflict over Taiwan in an attempt to weaken the United States.

This will be followed by the use of biological, genetic based weapons that will kill many American (bio weapons intended for Blacks, Whites and Latinos and they would spare the millions of Chinese presently living in American which is a subgoal of the Chinese war plan.

Biological weapons are unprecedented in their ruthlessness, but if the Americans do not die then the Chinese have to die.
If the Chinese people are strapped to the present land, a total societal collapse is bound to take place.
According to the computation of the author of Yellow Peril, more than half of the Chinese will die, and that figure would be more than 800 million people!...The relationship between China and United States is one of a life-and-death struggle...

Chinese should not kill other Chinese, would we have liberated China?
As for the several million Chinese living in the United States, this is of course a big issue.
Therefore in recent years, we have been conducting research on genetic weapons, i.e. those weapons that do not kill yellow people.
But producing a result with this kind of research is extremely difficult. Of the research done on genetic weapons throughout the world, the Israeli’s is the most advanced. Their genetic weapons are designed to target Arabs and protect the Israelis. But even they have not reached the stage of actual deployment. We have cooperated with Israel on some research. Perhaps we can introduce some of the technologies used to protect Israelis and remold these technologies to protect the yellow people. But their technologies are not mature yet, and it is difficult for us to surpass them in a few years.
If it has to be five or ten years before some breakthroughs can be achieved in genetic weapons, we cannot afford to wait any longer.

Certainly, in spreading Comrade He Xin’s views, we cannot publish the article in the party newspapers, in order to avoid raising the enemy’s vigilance. He Xin's conversation may remind the enemy that we have grasped the modern science and technology, including "clean" nuclear technology, gene weapons technology as well as biological weapons technology, and we can use powerful measures to eliminate their population on a large-scale.

We know that the Chinese control the drug cartels, therefore to some extent, they control Mexico.

I believe the delivery systems for the planned bioweapons and genetics weapons attack will come from weaponized immigration.

Whether it come from a Red Dawn which would likely be initiated after the Chinese attack upon Taiwan. The weapons could also be dispersed by the several covert Chinese troops stationed in America and are, for example, running most of the solar energy farms.

An Additional Motive for the Chinese to Attack

Interestingly, the Chinese view the NWO as a supreme threat to their continued existence. In his speech to the CCP, Wei Fengh noted the following:

If you get on the website using key words to search, you will find out that a while ago, comrade He Xin pointed out to the Hong Kong Business News during an interview that: "The US has a shocking conspiracy." According to what he had in hand, from September 27 to October 1, 1995, the Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachëv Foundation, funded by the United States, gathered 500 of the world’s most important statesmen, economic leaders and scientists, including George W. Bush (he was not the US president at the time), the Baroness Thatcher, Tony Blair, Zbigniew Brzezinski, as well as George Soros, Bill Gates, futurist John Naisbitt, etc., all of the world’s most popular characters, in the San Francisco Fairmont hotel for a high-level round table conference, discussing problems about globalization and how to guide humanity to move forward into the 21st century.

According to what He Xin had in hand, the outstanding people of the world in attendance thought that in the 21st century a mere 20% of the world’s population will be sufficient to maintain the world’s economy and prosperity, the other 80% or 4/5 of the world’s population will be human garbage unable to produce new values. The people in attendance thought that this excess 80% population would be a trash population and "high-tech" means should be used to eliminate them gradually.

Since the enemies are secretly planning to eliminate our population, we certainly cannot be infinitely merciful and compassionate to them.

Comrade He Xin's article came out at the right time, it has proven the correctness of our tit for tat battle approach, has proven Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s great foresight to deploy against the United States military strategy.

This means that the CCP are quite the conspiracy theorists. They obviously believe in the depopulation efforts which includes 5G, chemtrails, GMO's, certain vaccines, etc. Wei Feng made it clear that they take this globalist assault upon humanity very seriously and are using this as one of the motivators for their planned actions; against the globalists and they perceive the NWO and America as one in the same.

    Conclusion

After reading the leaked Chinese document which contained Wei Fengh's comments about the CCP's intentions toward America, IA m reminded of the movie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. In the movie, alien spores land on Earth and take over people's bodies while they sleep. These spores colonized America much in the same way that the Chinese plan to colonize the United States.

China Is Extremely Angry, And They Now Consider The United States To Be Enemy #1

    by Michael Snyder

Have relations between the United States and China finally reached the point of no return? At this moment, it would be difficult to overstate how angry the Chinese are with the United States. Chinese officials are firmly blaming the United States for the enormous political protests that we have witnessed in Hong Kong in recent weeks, and on Thursday President Trump slapped another round of tariffs on Chinese imports. Sadly, most Americans aren’t even paying much attention to these developments, but over in China everyone is talking about these things. And of course the truth is that they aren’t just talking – the Chinese are absolutely seething with anger toward the U.S., and they aren’t afraid to express it.

Let me give you a perfect example of what I am talking about. One of the most highly respected news anchors in China, Kang Hui, actually used an expletive when referring to the United States during a news broadcast earlier this week.

Normally I would never have such language in one of my articles, but this comment made headlines all over the globe, and I think that it is very important for all of us to understand what the Chinese are saying about us. So since this is a news item of critical importance, I have decided not to censor this quote at all. The following comes from the New York Times

“They stir up more troubles and crave the whole world to be in chaos, acting like a shit-stirring stick,”
Mr. Kang said on the usually stolid 7 p.m. national news program on CCTV, China’s state broadcaster. The expletive quickly became one of the most-searched-for phrases on Chinese social media.

In a follow-up video on a CCTV social media account, Mr. Kang boasted about how he had taunted the United States.

“If a handful of Americans always stir up troubles, then we are sorry,” he intoned. “No more do we talk about certain issues. We will also target you. We will bash you till your faces are covered with mud. We will bash you till you are left speechless.”

Could you imagine Anderson Cooper saying something similar about China on CNN?

And actually Mr. Kang likely has far more viewers than Anderson Cooper does.

Most Americans spend very little time thinking about relations with China, but over in China they are absolutely furious with us right now, and the developing situation in Hong Kong is one of the biggest reasons for that anger. Millions of people have flooded the streets of Hong Kong in recent weeks, and it appears that the Chinese have decided that enough is enough. According to Bloomberg, U.S. officials are closely watching “a congregation of Chinese forces on Hong Kong’s border”…

The White House is monitoring what a senior administration official called a congregation of Chinese forces on Hong Kong’s border.

Weeks of unrest in the Chinese territory have begun to overwhelm Hong Kong’s police, who have found themselves in violent clashes with protesters. China warned Monday that the civil disorder had gone “far beyond” peaceful protest after police deployed tear gas over the weekend.

Could it be possible that Chinese forces could soon storm across the border?

And there have also been other signs that China is about to do something drastic

And also on Wednesday, Chen Daoxiang, the commander of China’s military garrison in Hong Kong — which holds around 6,000 troops — said his forces were “determined to protect national sovereignty, security, stability and the prosperity of Hong Kong.” His remarks came as China released a new propaganda video which include armed forces practicing shooting at protestors, after which he underscored his support for the city’s chief executive for “rigorously enforcing the law.”

Yes, Hong Kong is now technically part of China. But according to the agreement that was signed when the British handed over Hong Kong, the city is supposed to be allowed to govern itself to a large degree until 2047

After taking over Hong Kong in a war in the 1800s, Britain returned it to China in 1997 with an important stipulation:

The city would partly govern itself for 50 years before fully falling under Beijing’s control. So until 2047, the expectation was that the city and the mainland would operate under the principle known as “one country, two systems.”
So if China ends up sending troops into Hong Kong to end the political protests, the Trump administration will be extremely upset, and tensions between our two nations will go up several more notches.

A new development in the trade war is the other reason why the Chinese are so angry with us right now.

After President Trump hit China with new tariffs on Thursday, China’s ambassador to the United Nations warned that the Chinese are prepared to implement “necessary countermeasures”

China’s new ambassador to the United Nations, Zhang Jun, said Beijing would take “necessary countermeasures” to protect its rights and bluntly described Trump’s move as “an irrational, irresponsible act.”

“China’s position is very clear that if U.S. wishes to talk, then we will talk, if they want to fight, then we will fight,” Zhang told reporters in New York, also signalling that trade tensions could hurt cooperation between the countries on dealing with North Korea.
In other words, the Chinese are not going to back down one bit, and they are going to hit us back hard.

And Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said similar things when she addressed reporters on Friday

“China will not accept any form of pressure, intimidation or deception,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a press conference Friday.

China‘s Ministry of Commerce released a statement that said Beijing would impose countermeasures.

“The U.S. has to bear all the consequences,” the statement said. “China believes there will be no winners of this trade war and does not want to fight. But we are not afraid to fight and will fight if necessary.”

In the end, it is very true that there “will be no winners” in this trade war. The Chinese know where our pain points are, and they will not be afraid to fight dirty.

A rapidly deteriorating relationship with China is a big part of the scenario that we have been anticipating. As I discussed yesterday, it is exceedingly unlikely that there will be a trade deal between the United States and China before the 2020 presidential election. And to be honest, it is far more likely that our conflict with China will escalate well beyond just a “trade war” in the months ahead.

The two largest economic superpowers on the entire planet are now locked in a monumental struggle for dominance, and it is going to result in a tremendous amount of economic pain for the entire planet.

Unfortunately, most Americans are completely and utterly clueless about what is going on, and so most of them are still convinced that everything is going to be just fine.

An interesting Beijing news interview with a Russian, Chinese and American defense foreign policy panel discussing China's military modernization and threats it outlines in its new white paper.

The Point: China's latest defense policy explained

    Published on Jul 28, 2019

On Wednesday, China issued its latest national defense white paper, the first since President Xi Jinping launched major military reforms in 2015.

The document sets out China's defense policy, and highlights the "diverse and complex security threats" facing China, at a time when some Western countries are disregarding China's contribution to global peace.

But just what are the threats facing China? And what exactly is China's role in maintaining international security?

Guests: Michael O'Hanlon, senior fellow and director of research for the Foreign Policy Program at Brookings Institution; Alexander Nekrassov, former Kremlin advisor; You Dongxiao, associate professor at National Defense University.

    Default Re: War With China?

China Threatens EMP Attack in South China Sea
    AP Photo/Jim Gomez

Chinese state media on Tuesday rather unsubtly decided this would be a good time to chat with a panel of “experts” about the possibility of using an electromagnetic pulse weapon (EMP) against American ships that enter portions of the South China Sea illegally claimed by Beijing.

The timing suggests it was a bit of saber-rattling by a Communist Party nervous about its power and prestige after the Wuhan virus disaster, but some degree of escalation in the South China Sea has long been a concern for the U.S. Navy and ships from across the free world.

To put it bluntly, an EMP strike on U.S. warships would involve detonating a small nuclear warhead above them, but China’s state-run Global Times threw in some speculation about “low-energy laser devices” to keep their saber from rattling too loudly:
To counter US’ repeated trespasses into Chinese territorial waters, the Chinese military has the option of using new approaches, including the deployment of electromagnetic weapons, Song Zhongping, a Chinese military expert and commentator, told the Global Times on Tuesday.

Firing at US warships is not a good choice unless the US fires first, and that would result in the start of a China-US military conflict, Song said, noting that bumping into US ships might also not be a good counter, as lessons have been learned from the Black Sea bumping incident between the Soviet Union and US in 1988.

But the use of electromagnetic weapons, including low-energy laser devices, could be viable, as they can temporarily paralyze US ships’ weapon and control systems without visible conflict but can send a strong warning, according to Song.

Electromagnetic weapons can emit electromagnetic waves that can potentially jam electronic devices of target vessels and will not cause casualties, military observers said.

The US accused a Chinese destroyer of using lasers on February 17 on its patrol aircraft near Guam, even though it was the US aircraft that had initially conducted repeated close-in reconnaissance that interrupted the Chinese fleet’s normal navigation and training. This is a good example and could be applied more, Song said.
This is almost as dishonest a framing of the February laser incident, and others like it, as the Chinese fairy tale about a U.S. Army lab developing the coronavirus.

The Chinese laser attack on a U.S. Navy aircraft flying over international waters on February 17 was unprovoked, unprofessional, unsafe, and a clear violation of both maritime law and safe-conduct policies for the region endorsed by Beijing.

These EMP threats were prompted by the most recent series of U.S. Freedom of Navigation operations (FONOP) in the South China Sea, which essentially involve sailing through waters claimed by China to demonstrate that international freedom of navigation will be protected. The Chinese are particularly exercised by the presence of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt and its strike group in the region, and while the Global Times did not explicitly mention it, the USS Theodore Roosevelt’s visit to Vietnam was deeply troubling to Beijing.

“This is the third time in just a week US warships are known to have trespassed into the South China Sea: US guided missile destroyer McCampbell on March 10 trespassed into China’s territorial waters in the Xisha Islands, and amphibious assault ship America and littoral combat ship Gabrielle Giffords sailed in operations in the South China Sea on Friday,” the Global Times complained.

“Xisha Islands” is China’s name for the Paracel Islands, which the guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell sailed near on March 10. Vietnam and Taiwan both have claims in the Paracels. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) claimed it “warned” the American ship to leave, while the U.S. Navy said the ship completed its “security and stability operations” normally.

USS America and USS Gabrielle Giffords conducted joint operations in the South China Sea on Friday to test unified command and control and practice tactical maneuvers. The ships do not appear to have ventured into the waters claimed by China.

“By combining America’s lethality provided by the Navy-Marine Corps Team with the speed and maneuverability of a littoral combat ship, we’re forging new ways to operate together in one of the most important regions in the world,” Expeditionary Strike Group 7 commander Rear Adm. Fred Kacher said.

The PLA pulled a few deliberately provocative maneuvers of its own on Monday, sending a flight of warplanes across the Taiwan Strait in a rare night exercise. The Taiwanese scrambled their own fighters to “shadow, intercept, and disperse the Communist warplanes,” according to Taiwan’s defense ministry.

The South China Morning Post quoted analysts who said Beijing wanted to send one of its periodic threats to Taiwan while also demonstrating the coronavirus epidemic has not weakened the PLA:
“In addition to enhancing all-weather capability of its military fleet, the communist warplanes’ fly-by is aimed at sending out the message that it is business as usual with PLA war games despite the coronavirus outbreak in mainland China,” said Alexander Huang Chieh-cheng, a professor of international affairs and strategic studies at Tamkang University in Taipei.

He said the PLA’s night drill was also aimed at testing the response of forces such as the United States and telling them that the mainland’s air force can carry out night-time combat operations.

“Of course, it is also aimed at intimidating Taiwan,” Huang said.

The Global Times portrayed the night exercise as a warning to Taiwan that will become more frequent if “secessionist forces remain stubborn and continue their secessionist activities.”

The Chinese state newspaper curiously quoted only Taiwanese sources about the incident, but slipped in a comment from an unnamed “military expert” who said Monday’s flight was unprecedented proof that the PLA “is fully capable of launching military operations on the island at any time of a day.”

China is up to no good. The virus was set off to disable the West and our alliances. This was an all out biological attack.

China is getting ready to attack us, and will do some thing very, very soon.

This isn't supposition, this is based on the shit they are doing in the South China Sea lately, and on the virus. The timing, everything is pointing to some dangerous shit building up, including the things we're doing here in the USA.

I don't think it started out as one but I think, like our Commies, they aren't letting a good crisis go to waste.

I don't believe that. I think they originally started this thing to release on Hong Kong to settled them down. How often do flues start in Hong Kong? Pretty damned often. And I think they managed to infect a few people and send them off to other countries, THEN it accidentally got out there in Wuhan.

Special Report: The Coronavirus Pandemic's Wall Street Connections (27:21)

A rampant plague covers the world. The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) cover-up at the beginning of the epidemic accelerated the spread of the virus. The outbreak has now infected about 90% of the world’s countries and territories. There are over one million confirmed cases in the United States.

And the number of deaths in America from the epidemic has exceeded by several times those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attack and the attack on Pearl Harbor combined.

Over the past few decades, the economic strength of the CCP has continued to expand with the help of financing from the United States, led by Wall Street. The CCP’s ruling model based on information manipulation and violent oppression has never changed.

Today, the CCP’s power poses a major threat to American lives, financial security, and to U.S. national security. What risks have we long overlooked?

What kind of solutions can we find from the wisdom of our founding fathers? We believe that investigating and exposing the truth is the only way that we can remain safe. Sign the petition to investigate, condemn, and reject the Chinese Communist Party.

In coronavirus aftermath China threatens takeover of US aviation: Ex-Cheney Deputy National Security Adviser

Unless Congress acts, most of the commercial aircraft operating in America could soon be owned by Chinese companies!

Among the key takeaways for U.S. leaders from the current coronavirus crisis is the importance of supply chains and the need to protect them from bad actors willing to use them against us. Top concern on the minds of most Americans at this point is the government of China.
Much attention has been given, appropriately, to medical and technology supply chains as the coronavirus pandemic has swept across America. A lesser-known supply chain vulnerability exists, with similar potential impact on our economy and way of life, in the airline industry.

United Airlines sold 22 of its planes to the Bank of China in April because it was starved for revenue during the pandemic. This could be just the beginning. (This is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!)

Unless Congress acts, most of the commercial aircraft operating in America could be owned by Chinese companies.
China is exploiting two of the U.S.’s greatest strengths: Massive economic might and openness to world commerce. The coronavirus is providing an opportunity for a long-term play to weaken us.

For now, American aviation is the envy of the world. A majority of the world’s commercial planes are made in the U.S. Commercial flights here are frequent, inexpensive and safe. In fact, English is the universal language of aviation because America’s engineering and economic dominance anchor the industry.
But the pandemic-caused economic slowdown threatens to change all that.

More than half of the 7,000 commercial airliners flown in the U.S. are owned not by U.S. airlines but by companies that lease the aircraft to them. Airlines might initially buy the planes themselves, but they often later sell them to finance companies that lease them back to the airlines. These “sell and leaseback” transactions generate capital that is routinely used to buy new aircraft and pay for a variety of infrastructure improvements.

This back-and-forth arrangement, which has become embedded in the aviation system over the past 25 years, has helped keep the cost of air travel low enough for tens of millions of Americans to fly both regularly and safely.

Many of the ultimate owners of aircraft leasing companies are U.S.-based public employee pensions, university endowments and other institutions whose shareholders are middle-class Americans.
These days, many airplanes are parked unused on tarmacs across the country and are rarely in the air.

As a result, nearly all passenger airlines have asked their lessors – the leasing companies that actually own the idled aircraft – for financial assistance. Leasing companies are being forced to restructure leases and accept delayed rent payments.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act failed to address leasing companies’ vulnerability. That needs to be fixed or China will win.

Here’s how China wins. When U.S. airlines can’t pay their monthly rent on aircraft, leasing companies are left holding the bag. These companies stand to lose up to 95 percent of their income.

Because they have financial support from the federal government, airlines won’t go out of business. But the companies that actually own the aircraft they fly will.

What will happen to these aircraft if the companies that own them fail? One likely scenario is that they will be purchased for pennies on the dollar by Chinese leasing companies. Since there really is no “private sector” in China, the Chinese government will own the plane you are flying on.

In 2006, no aviation leasing companies existed in China. Today, there are more than 40 of them. They receive the active support of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In January 2019, CCP-supported Chinese leasing companies owned more than 20 percent of global commercial aircraft by value. Today, the Chinese share has increased to 26 percent.

According to flightglobal.com, these companies are “closely tied to Beijing’s policy agenda.” That agenda includes undermining and then taking over key U.S. industries ranging from health care to computers. Aviation is a huge part of that plan. Chinese leasing companies manage 16 percent of the U.S. passenger airline fleet, a number that could skyrocket.

Unless the federal government steps in to assist America’s aviation leasing industry, commercial aviation will be at the mercy of Chinese predators.

Aircraft leasing companies aren’t asking for a lot. All they need is access to CARES Act loans, which would be fully repaid. In the end, taxpayers wouldn’t lose a dime, but America’s essential aviation industry would be protected from a hostile takeover by China.

Wouldn’t it by ironic if the Chinese coronavirus that got us all sick, caused thousands of deaths in America, wrecked our economy and, in turn, we rewarded them by turning over control of our aviation industry as well?

    Congress shouldn’t let that happen.

The Chinese Communist Party is readying two new aircraft carriers for deployment off the coast of Taiwan that could lead to a military confrontation with the US ships in the region, as the relationship between the two global powers has become strained by trade issues and the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.

The ships Liaoning and Shandong, part of the People’s Liberation Army navy, are conducting military readiness drills in the Yellow Sea but are expected to move into the South China Sea to Pratas Island for invasion mock battles, CCP-controlled Global Times reported.

Noting Chinese President Xi Jinping’s assertions of territorial control over most of the waterway and lack of respect for the sovereignty of countries in the region, like Taiwan, the “risk of a military confrontation in the South China Sea involving the United States and China could rise significantly in the next eighteen months,” the Council on Foreign Relations said in a report issued last week.

The think tank said the US has a “strong interest” in stopping China from taking control over the South China Sea to keep the waterway open for navigation and secure international supply chains.

“The United States is also at risk of being drawn into a military conflict with China in this region as a result of U.S. defense treaty obligations to at least one of the claimants to the contested territory, the Philippines,” the council said.

President Trump, who has accused Beijing of misleading the world on the coronavirus pandemic, has been sparring with Xi over China’s trade policies, which he said are stacked against US corporations.
“We could cut off the whole relationship” with China, Trump told “Fox Business” earlier this month.

Those comments led to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi accusing the US of pushing the two countries to the “brink of a new Cold War.”

“China has no intention to change, still less replace, the United States,” Wang said. “It’s time for the United States to give up its wishful thinking of changing China and stopping 1.4 billion people in their historic march toward modernization.”

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday ordered the military to scale up the battle preparedness, visualising the worst-case scenarios and asked them to resolutely defend the country's sovereignty.

Xi, 66 who is also the General Secretary of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) and head of the two-million-strong military with prospects of lifelong tenure in power, made the remarks while attending a plenary meeting of the delegation of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and People's Armed Police Force during the current parliament session being held here.

Xi ordered the military to think about worst-case scenarios, scale up training and battle preparedness, promptly and effectively deal with all sorts of complex situations and resolutely safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, state-run Xinhua news agency reported, without mentioning any specific issues that posed a threat to the country.
His comments came in the backdrop of the continuing standoff between the militaries of India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Several areas along the LAC in Ladakh and North Sikkim have witnessed major military build-up by both the Indian and Chinese armies recently, in a clear signal of escalating tension and hardening of respective positions by the two sides even two weeks after they were engaged in two separate face-offs.

The nearly 3,500-km-long LAC is the de-facto border between the two countries.

The US-China military frictions were also on the rise with the US navy stepping its patrols in the disputed South China Sea as well as the Taiwan Straits. Washington and Beijing are also engaged in a war of words over the origin of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi criticised the attempts of some US politicians to blame China for the pandemic. The US, he said, was pushing ties with China to "the brink of a new Cold War".

On May 22, China, the second-largest military spender after the US, hiked its defence budget by 6.6 per cent to USD 179 billion, nearly three times that of India, the lowest increment in recent years amidst the massive disruption caused to the communist giant's economy by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his meeting with a PLA delegation on Tuesday, he stressed on achieving the targets and missions of strengthening the national defence and armed forces for 2020, while maintaining effective epidemic control on a regular basis.
He listened to speeches by the military deputies on fulfilling epidemic control tasks, strengthening training amid the epidemic, and accelerating capacity building on biosecurity defence, among others.

Commending their role in battling the COVID-19, Xi said the people's armed forces have once again proven themselves to be heroic forces that can be fully trusted by the Communist Party and the people.

Xi said the epidemic has brought a profound impact on the global landscape and on China's security and development as well.

Xi demanded reform and innovation to address new situations and problems exposed in the epidemic and ordered accelerating the research and development on COVID-19 drugs and vaccines by tapping the advantages of military medical research.

Noting that this year marks the end of the 13th five-year plan for military development, Xi said extraordinary measures must be taken to overcome the impact of the epidemic to ensure major tasks on the military building are achieved.

On defence expenditure, Xi said “every penny must be well spent to produce maximum results”.

Xi has been stressing on the troops battle preparedness ever since he came to power in 2012 insisting on real time exercises to win wars.

He has also revamped defence forces, cutting the PLA's strength by three lakh troops and enhanced its naval and air power as Beijing expanded its influence abroad.

Meanwhile, a Chinese expert commented that unlike the previous standoffs between the Chinese and Indian armies, the latest border friction was not caused by accident, but was a planned move of New Delhi.

"India has been crossing the boundary line into the Galwan Valley region and entering Chinese territory. Indian soldiers have also deliberately instigated conflicts with their Chinese counterparts. If India failed to stop such provocations as soon as possible, it will impact on Beijing-New Delhi ties - and may even exceed the sort of intensity of the Doklam standoff, an article in the state-run Global Times written by Long Xingchun, president of Chengdu Institute of World Affairs, said.

India has said the Chinese military was hindering normal patrolling by its troops along the LAC in Ladakh and Sikkim and strongly refuted Beijing's contention that the escalating tension between the two armies was triggered by trespassing of Indian forces across the Chinese side.

The Ministry of External Affairs said all Indian activities were carried out on its side of the border, asserting that India has always taken a very responsible approach towards border management. At the same time, it said, India was deeply committed to protect its sovereignty and security.

"Any suggestion that Indian troops had undertaken activity across the LAC in the Western sector or the Sikkim sector is not accurate. Indian troops are fully familiar with the alignment of the Line of Actual Control in the India-China border areas and abide by it scrupulously," MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said at an online media briefing last week.

"Illegal Act": China Condemns US Military Flight Over Taiwan

While Washington and Taipei have no formal diplomatic ties, the United States is Taiwan's strongest international supporter and main arms supplier.

    Beijing:
China on Thursday condemned the US military for the "provocative" flight of one of its aircraft over Chinese-claimed Taiwan, saying the move infringed upon China's sovereignty and contravened international law.

China considers democratically ruled Taiwan its own territory and one of its most sensitive diplomatic issues, regularly denouncing the United States for its support of the island.

A US C-40A, a military version of the Boeing 737, entered Taiwan air space with permission, though it did not land at any Taiwan airports, Taiwan's Defence Ministry said on Tuesday

China's Taiwan Affairs Office said the US aircraft had "harmed our sovereignty, security and development rights, and contravened international law and the basic norms of international relations".

"It was an illegal act and a seriously provocative incident," the office said in a statement carried by state media.
"We express strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition."

The US Seventh Fleet said the US Navy aircraft was on a routine logistics flight from the Kadena air base in Japan to Thailand but was re-routed by Taiwan to avoid "an exercise on its east coast." "The C-40 flew a cleared route provided by Taiwan air traffic controllers that went through their airspace and over the island and was never in the Taiwan Strait," it said in a statement.

"There were no interactions or intercepts from any aircraft during the flight."Taiwan is entirely separately governed from China and controls its own air space. On the same day as the US aircraft flew over the island, Taiwan's air force had to warn off several Chinese fighter jets which briefly entered Taiwan's air defence identification zone.

Taiwan has repeatedly complained about Chinese drills near the island.

The United States has stepped up its military activities near the island too, with semi-regular US Navy voyages through the narrow Taiwan Strait that separates the island from China. While Washington and Taipei have no formal diplomatic ties, the United States is Taiwan's strongest international supporter and main arms supplier.

China's Big Surprise (Years In The Making): An EMP Attack?

Authored by Peter Pry, op-ed via The Hill,

The coronavirus pandemic has exposed dangerous weaknesses in U.S. planning and preparation for civil defense protection and recovery, and those weaknesses surely have been noticed by our potential enemies: China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and international terrorists.

The U.S. spent decades, and billions of dollars, supposedly preparing for biological warfare. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the departments of Defense and Homeland Security are supposed to have contingency plans to protect the American people from lethal biological weapons such as anthrax and genetically engineered smallpox, which could have mortality rates of over 90 percent.

But our defenders have not even been able to competently cope with COVID-19, which has a mortality rate under 1 percent. The White House took over management of the pandemic, apparently to compensate for the failure of the U.S. government to have adequately stockpiled such basics as ventilators, masks and pharmaceuticals.
Hostile foreign powers surely have noticed the panicked, incompetent U.S. response to the virus that shut down a prosperous U.S. economy, self-inflicting the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. The nationwide lockdowns brought shortages of all kinds, exposing societal and critical infrastructure fragility — and causing widespread fear.

Adversaries also have noticed the ongoing U.S. “cold civil war.” According to federal authorities, radicalized young people on both sides of the political divide and criminals have been infiltrating recent protests — rioting, toppling statues and setting fires. The swelling counter-culture anarchy and self-condemnation is reminiscent of 1968, a year of riots and anti-war protests in America that is recognized by most historians as the psychological turning point toward U.S. defeat in the Vietnam War.

North Korea applauds America’s domestic chaos as proof that democracy does not work and the future belongs to totalitarian states such as China. America looks fragile to dictators who would replace the U.S.-led world order with a new one dominated by themselves. China, for example, has been planning to defeat the U.S. with an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) and cyber “Pearl Harbor” attack for a quarter-century. As I warned the Senate Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security in 2005, Chinese military writings — such as the following excerpt — make reference to U.S. vulnerability to EMP attacks:

“Some people might think that things similar to the ‘Pearl Harbor incident’ are unlikely to take place during the information age. Yet it could be regarded as the ‘Pearl Harbor incident’ of the 21st century if a surprise attack is conducted against the enemy’s crucial information systems of command, control and communications by such means as electronic warfare, electromagnetic pulse weapons, telecommunications interference and suppression, computer viruses, and if the enemy is deprived of the information it needs as a result. Even a super military power like the United States, which possesses nuclear missiles and powerful armed forces, cannot guarantee its immunity. … In their own words, a highly computerized open society like the United States is extremely vulnerable to electronic attacks from all sides. This is because the U.S. economy, from banks to telephone systems and from power plants to iron and steel works, relies entirely on computer networks.”

As noted in a May 14, 1996, People’s Liberation Army newspaper about a surprise attack on U.S. critical information systems:

“When a country grows increasingly powerful economically and technologically... it will become increasingly dependent on modern information systems... The United States is more vulnerable to attacks than any other country in the world.

So it is very bad news, more than a year after President Trump issued an Executive Order on Coordinating Resilience Against Electromagnetic Pulses, that the Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have done nothing to protect the national electric grid or other critical infrastructures that sustain the lives of 330 million Americans.

Instead, non-expert bureaucrats conduct endless studies and conferences to wrangle over technical issues — in effect, reinventing the wheel regarding EMP — that were resolved long ago by real EMP experts. The “coordination process” for national EMP preparedness is the same kind of bureaucratic fumbling that Washington regards as “action,” which gave us the biological warfare unpreparedness and inability to properly respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hopefully, the U.S. Navy is better prepared to cope with an EMP attack than are DOE and DHS. A nuclear EMP attack against U.S. aircraft carriers is the key to victory in China’s military doctrine, as noted in a Feb. 12, 2000, article in the official newspaper of the Shanghai Communist Party Central Committee:

“The weak points of a modern aircraft carrier are: 1) As a big target, the fleet is easy for a satellite to reconnoiter and locate. … 2) A high degree of electronization is like an Achilles’ heel for an aircraft carrier fleet, which relies heavily on electronic equipment as its central nervous system. These two characteristics determine one tactic.” Therefore, military strategist Ye Jian said in the article in Jiefang Ribao: “The possession of electromagnetic pulse bombs (missiles) will provide the conditions to completely destroy an aircraft carrier fleet, and the way to complete victory in dealing with aircraft carrier fleets.”

In March 2020, a panel of China’s military experts threatened to punish U.S. Navy ships for challenging China’s illegal annexation of the South China Sea by making an EMP attack
    — one of the options they considered least provocative because the crew would be unharmed, but most effective because the ship would be disabled. Now three U.S. aircraft carriers are in the Pacific to challenge China’s aggression in the South China Sea.
