Hi guys, day late as usual, but I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We had broccoli casserole and chicken aboard the ship. I think if all the foods I've ever had, that casserole is the best on the planet. It has 8 ingredients in it, and all of them come together to make an awesome dish (if anyone wants recipe let me know, I'll get it for you to try out).
So - here's to all of you and wishing every day to be a Thanksgiving day!

America is still here.
A New President takes office in January.
We survived (barely) Obama's rule.
It's time to be thankful that someone was looking out for this country.... and I'd say God was only one of the important figures this time around.
Veterans, Americans (REAL Americans, not these assholes calling themselves Liberals/Progressives/Marxist/Democrats), Republicans, some Democrats and a LOT of people who won't claim a party at all voted their PRINCIPLES and removed the assholes out of America. For now.
Freedom people, isn't free. It costs time, money, lives.
Now, all of you, forget politics. Go hug your kids, wives, girl friends, families, husbands or whomever is part of your family. Pat your friends on the back.
And remember that in another few months we will have to deal with the new guy, and keep him in line too. And in four years we start over.
America is here to stay for now. Keep up the good work, keep up the spirit and keep up the faith.
This country was built on the backs of dead people, a lot of them - British and British subjects who would later find themselves being called "Americans".

The final of 3 turkeys I cooked between last weekend and Thanksgiving.
Over at my brother's...
I get tasked with cooking the birds because they come out so awesome! I've had many, many people tell me that they don't like turkey because it's always so dry but they try mine and love it.
Just follow Alton Brown's deep fried turkey recipe and you'll never eat another roast turkey again. Guarantee.
That said, I do think I'm going to try smoking a turkey here soon. I picked up a bunch on markdown at $0.37/lb, mostly for dog food, but I'll probably save one to smoke.
