Anyone know boiler piping?
I think I've got this pretty good. *I updated it with valves and such*
The boiler is a modulating condensing Crown Bimini 90k btu unit. I may up that to 90k since both of those units only modulate down to 30kbtu.
I've done a heat loss calculation for the house and the fin/tube baseboards match it at design day.
The key here is a boiler loop and secondary loop, separated by a taco low loss header. The boiler loop is driven by a Grundfos 15-58 three speed pump that I expect will be on 1 or 2 and the secondary loop is driven by a grundfos Alpha. The alpha precludes the need for differential bypass valves since it auto adapts to pressure changes when the zone valves open or close.
There are only stubs for the Indirect water heater because I'm not putting one in at this time.
The only thing I'd like is a bigger low loss header, but the Taco is $300 and everything else is hundreds more to start. I realize I could use closely spaced tees but I like the LLH.
