Wow, Ryan. Your road seems busier than I recall from last summer.

Is it over or is there more to come?
Stay safe. Don't let anyone do anything stupid.

Okay, just got back from trying to get into the village. Spent an hour sitting in traffic on the 2 lane highway into town just to find out that it was blocked with debris.
They would have let us through with family in the town but were told we'd have to go another way in.
Word is that everyone is okay but the village is pretty heavily damaged.
With word that everyone was okay and had things under control, I decided to just turn around and head home. Going to wait until tomorrow to try and get in again.
One Death Reported in Moscow, Damage Widespread in Clermont County
Here are some pictures from sitting in traffic:March 2, 2012
Clermont County officials now say there is one confirmed death in the village of Moscow. Search and rescue operations are underway in that area after massive storms nearly wiped out the main part of the village.
The name of the person who died has not been released. Officials say the body is still buried in the debris of a building there.
Local 12 has learned that one church, Calvary Baptist, was leveled and there are multiple reports of damage.
The public information officer says 20 homes are confirmed damaged. Local 12's Rich Jaffe is in Moscow near the Zimmer Plant. He says the village is "just gone." There are injuries there as well.
Local 12 will update the situation in Clermont County as soon as it is released.
One of the heavy rescue trucks from Cincinnati FD:
Hamilton County Urban Search And Rescue (I'm in Clermont County, the next county east):
They had another USAR truck with a forklift attached to the back (like the lumber delivery trucks) but I couldn't get a pic in time.
There were vehicles coming from municipalities an hour and 15 minutes away. I counted probably at least a dozen different agencies with at least 3 dozen marked vehicles and as many POVs. Lots of heavy rescue, search and rescue, and incident command vehicles. I'd estimate in the time I was sitting there, I saw probably at least $5 million in emergency vehicles roll by.
By the way, should be over now that the cold front has moved through.
The storms are making their way east now.
Nice, cold front stabilizes the air.

Yeah, bottom line, everyone seems to be okay. They all were able to get sheltered before the twister hit.
Word that it is just the roof gone may have been premature, don't know for sure.
The village is on the flood plain for the Ohio and as such many of the homes have a cinderblock 1st floor and normal residence on the 2nd. Word is the "top is gone". No idea if it is the roof or the whole residence section of the house.
All reports of damage I'm getting are 3rd hand at best so I can't confirm anything and won't know for sure until we can get into town.
Oops, I think you posted that to the wrong thread Rick.
The weather is headed here now. Well, maybe. The tornado watch is over West Virginia now and coming this general direction. Seems a bit played out and we had a lot of rain today that cooled us down.
Glad it seems you family is ok. Also, Ryan, years ago didn't you live in the village of Moscow? I seem to recall sending you something in the mail and using that city as part of the label. Hmm..
Just got another update. My brother's wife's parents house is actually destroyed, not porch gone.
Their neighbor across the street was killed.
Just got a picture of my brother's sister and husband in-law's house.
Not the brick house (that house was over 110 years old and fortunately vacant) but the one behind it to the left.
Some video from the local news.
At 1:34 that is my brother's mother and father in-laws' house. It wasn't collapsed but has been deemed structurally unsound. Also, at 1:39 is my brother's brother and sister in-laws' house, the one behind the brick house in the picture.

More video from the news. At 0:52 they show Bill Loyd. That's my brother's brother in-law.

I'm betting an EF2.
Ryan,
I am so glad your family is safe and alive. Condolences to the neighbor who passed.
Thanks michael.
It all could have turned out a lot worse like the poor folks in Indiana experienced.
