Explosives stolen from Rock of Ages quarry

BETHEL, Vermont) -- The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of explosives from a granite quarry in the town of Bethel.

Police say the theft occurred overnight Wednesday at the Rock of Ages quarry.

The investigation has shown that the suspects broke in through a locked gate and then broke into several buildings.

Police says that in addition to explosives, the suspects stole power equipment.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the state police in Royalton.
