Ah, figured it was collision avoidance.

If you had an Escort radar detector with GPS instead, it would geo-locate and lock out that signal as a false alarm.

Valentine Research is in your area as well. That said, with V1 Connection, I could do that as well as program custom sweeps, on and on. I just haven't bothered. I usually only pass that HD, it doesn't trigger while I"m on the highway.
