Weather radio just went off with the thunderstorm watch alert. Watch until 9pm.
Cloud cover increasing pretty quick. Was sunny and cloudless this morning.

According to local met, hazards are still at the same levels on the graphic above.
Interestingly, looks like it is going to be cold and windy tomorrow with snow potentially mixing with rain in the morning. Going to be 10-20MPH winds all day with gusts to 45 as well.
This is definitely a potent system moving through!
GA and SC are definitely under the gun...
Leading edge of the weather moving in...
There's a cell SE of Louisville currently with a tornado warning on it. Storm track on it looks like it may have it eventually making its way towards me.
Dew point still pretty low. Accuweather showing 48 on me.
Hamilton Co just went storm warning. Met says cell showing upper level rotation. That is going to stay NW of me.
Knocking on my door...
Will probably start seeing stuff pretty soon.
Officially under a thunderstorm warning now.
Just took this with burst mode on my iPhone. Could see plenty of CtG and fired it up.
Getting lots of rain now. Had some pea sized hail.
Looks like I'm lucking out with the worst of this NW and SE of me.
Looks like we're officially in the clear now.
Of course, one of my younger brothers just had to try to one up me in the photo department.
Well, I didn't make the cut for photos shown on the 11pm news since they were too busy showing some of the hail that accumulated (up to an inch in some spots!) and some wind damage but, I did get a spot in their storm gallery on the website!

Wow... Didn't realize it until a local met mentioned it on the news tonight but, today is the 18th anniversary of the April 9, 1999 F4 tornado that hit Montgomery, OH.
Helped do some very little cleanup/salvage at the town home of a friend of a friend. Was unreal to see that level of destruction in such a developed area and be in their house which, at that point, had no roof.
This showed up today from Woot.com
It is the Acurite 01106M Pro+. It will be replacing my very basic Acurite station I have now which only does indoor/outdoor temps, pressure, 12-24hr forecast, and moon phase.
I ordered it on Friday and wasn't expecting it for a little bit but apparently Woot, which is part of Amazon, used my Prime account. Normally they just ship regular speed so not sure why it came so fast now. Not sure why I had to pay the Woot $5 flat rate shipping though if they used my Prime shipping...
Whole deal was $90 shipped so I can't complain. The Pro+ 5-in-1 sensor is typically $90 on its own. I have a feeling this was marked down because the display unit isn't one of the other easily readable ones.
Went and got a piece of 10' x 3/4" rigid conduit and mounted it out in the yard clear of everything.
I'll be able to upload my data to Weather Underground and monitor it on my phone once I get it set up. I'll be piping the data through my HTPC since that stays on 24/7.
Weather station has been up and transmitting since yesterday.
If anyone wants to check out my near real time data: https://www.wunderground.com/persona...d?ID=KOHNEWRI4
And no, the icon is not where I live. Close though.
I've toyed with getting one for many years, the complaints about the cheap ones are usually that something stops working fairly quickly.
I do have a fancy thermometer with an outside broadcast unit. It reads barometric pressure, humidity and temp, inside and out. It predicts your weather...sorta like the ole string weather predictor. If string is frozen, it's cold, if string is wet, it's raining, if string is swinging, it's windy, if string is missing, a tornado is imminent. etc. I.E. the prediction says "rain" when it's raining. Snow when it's snowing, etc. Fairly useless.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."
-- Theodore Roosevelt
My weather station just measured a dew point of 81 degrees and a "Feels Like" of 106.
This is nasty and sucks...
Yeah, it's been same here. 104-108 and I think even higher one day.
Yesterday was oppressive and I worked on the docks all day, from 7-2.
