UFO shoots across Texas sky live on breakfast TV

If aliens are real then it appears they are becoming savvier at getting our attention.

Early risers in Texas got a surprise when a UFO shot through the sky live on breakfast TV.

Sharp eyed viewers spotted the white light flash across the screen as local station KXAS showed a traffic camera looking across Fort Worth at 5:40am.

Visitors? A bright white light dropped out of the sky live on breakfast TV in Fort Worth, Texas

In the top right of the video a bright light drops out of the sky and disappears.

A slow-motion replay of the footage appears to show a faint light veering off at an angle to the right of the picture.

Station managers have called in UFO investigators to review the footage.

Viewers speculated that it could be a shooting star or possibly an insect reflecting light from the television tower where the camera is mounted.

What is it? The flash of light was captured on film at 5:40am

But others said they had seen the bright light with their own eyes.

'I was sitting outside my neighbors house and saw the flash of light in the sky go over the trees. Bill my neighbor saw it too,' a viewer wrote on the station's website.

'This looks more like a meteor that has reached the Earth's atmosphere but due to the severe stress of gravity at hyper speeds has been redirected,' wrote another.

Our tower camera Monday morning recorded something a bit out of the ordinary.

A light dropped out of the sky — upper-right of the video — and seemingly disappeared. A slow-motion look, though, appears to show a fainter view of the light veering off at about a 45-degree angle to the image right.

Speculation in the NBC DFW newsroom ranged from bug to UFO. Those wacky news people … a bug.

One reader-viewer in the comments section said it was a shooting star, but shooting stars don’t make right turns and ascend, do they?

Frame by Frame: What's That Light?

Station management, or somebody, contacted UFO investigators to review the video and offer an opinion on the nature — or unnatural source — of the light. That should be interesting.

But what do you think it was? Fire up the comments section, and we’ll post some of the points of view.

Me? I think it was intelligent extraterrestrial life who approached and realized, nope, no advanced life-forms here, then took a hard right to go look elsewhere.

I'd still like to know exactly without a doubt what that con-trail/missle off the coast in California was last year.

Haha! I know! And even I speculated right from the get go in post #8 it was a missle too.

... It makes me wonder if we didn't do it at all. Someone got 35 miles off our coast undetected and sent a missle to nowhere just to make a point.

I just want to shoot a couple people in very well connected places in several nations in the butt with truth serum and get some final answers on it.

I believe that was a missile with all my heart and soul.

As to UFOs.... I have no clue what they are.
